"So Tai, how are you?" Meiko asks as the two are back in her living room, both sitting on their knees and sitting across from each other at the coffee table as they played Uno.

He nods. "I'm good." He studied the colored cards in his hands. "I'm working my way through with my Masters to be a Diplomat and liaison."

"Wow!" Meiko smiled. "But I thought you were into soccer?" She asked confused.

"Oh I am." He smiled, leaning back and his back hit the couch. "But." His smiles fades as he shifts his long legs and stretched them out. "After everything that's happened over the years, people are still terrified of Digimon. And I have Daigo Nishijima to thank for that."

"Really?"

"Yeah!" Setting his cards down, Tai moves his arms and lace his fingers behind his head. "As the original leader of the original DigiDestined." He shrugs. "My mom says it fits me like a glove."

Meiko smiled. "She's right." Her smiles fades. "Who's not afraid of the Digimon?"

Both seemed to forget about their game. "Their's a handful of us DigiDestined. Like Kari and TK's friend Willis who has twin Digimon partners, Mimi's friend Micheal. And of course my parents, Matt and TK's parents, Sora's mom, Izzy's and Mimi's parents, and Joe's older brother Jim." Tai looks at her. "And your parents knew."

Meiko looks down. "Yeah. Everybody knows who they want to be, making a difference in the government."

"Actually, that'd be just me, Izzy and Ken. You haven't met him yet, Kari or TK will have to introduce you."

Meiko shifted her own legs, stretching them out under the table. "Then what's everyone doing nowadays?"

"Sora's planning on a floral designer, Mimi's working on a cooking show, Matt's working his way to be an astronaut, Joe's still working hard to be a doctor, Izzy's working his own way to be a Digital World Researcher. TK's working on being a writer and Kari wants to be teacher."

Meiko's quiet for a long while. "Wow." She breathed. "Everybody's trying to be somebody. It's great!"

Tai looks at her, studying her as he lowers his arms. "What about you?" He asks.

She blinks and looks up at him. "Me?" She asks, then blushes a little as she looks down. "I too am studying to be a diplomat. I don't want people afraid of Digimon that were similar to Meicoomon's actions. And I want them to know that there are good Digimon too."

Tai smiled fondly at her. "I like that. That's brave of you."

Meiko continued to blush. "I was a mess when I first met you guys." Her blush disappearing. "I had so much guilt. I knew Meicoomon was getting dangerous and violent when I wasn't around. I fully believed I could save her, but also I knew that deep down she had to be stopped, she was too far gone to be saved. I didn't want to face it."

In an unknown world. It was very cold and snowy. A dinosaur like Digimon braved through the current blizzard, he looked lost as he looked around.

A bird like Digimon also braved through the blizzard as she followed the Digimon in front of her, and another Digimon with a fur coat walked followed.

"Where are we, Agumon?"

Tai Kamiya's Partner Digimon, Agumon, shook his head. "I don't know. I've never seen this place before."

Matt Ishida's Partner Digimon, Gabumon, suggests. "I suggest that we find a place to rest. And then try to find our way home."

"But we don't know where we are!" Sora Takenouchi's Partner Digimon, Biyomon, argued.

"Don't worry Biyomon, we'll find our way home." Agumon encouraged.

Gabumon then spots something. "Hey! Let's go into that cave over there!"

With that the three Digimon hurry through the cold blizzard and into the dark cave. "It's not a closet or under a bed." Biyomon comments as she looks at the four walls. "But I'll take it."

"Yeah." Gabumon agrees.

Agumon leaned backwards on one of the cave walls. "Once this blizzard lifts, we'll be able to search more properly and hopeful not turn into Digimon ice cream cones." He tried to joke.

Tai sat in the living room, his legs stretched out in front of him, with his open laptop on the coffee table as he continued his studies for collage.

A smash of glass from the kitchen had him look up, that was quickly followed by Meiko's scream.

"Forget about balance!"

Jumping to his feet, Tai runs for the kitchen. Finding Meiko standing on the counter as she failed her arms around as she was going to fall.

"Meiko!" He ran towards her, just as she fell and landed in his arms. Her left arm around his neck while her right hand rested on his chest. "Hi." He smiled as she looked up at him.

"Hi." She blushed.

"What were you doing standing on the counter?"

"There's some mason jars on the top counters, that I wanted. You looked so focused on your work that I didn't want to bother you."

Tai smiled. "I could've helped you." He gently set her on her feet.

On impulse Meiko leaned up, kissing his cheek. "Thanks Tai." She smiled as he blushed.

In the unknown world. Agumon, Biyomon, and Gabumon continued to stay in the cave, surrounded by a small fire.

"Oh my."

The voice had the three jump and turn to see an elderly lady at the entrance of the cave. "What are you three Digimon doing alone in this awful weather?"

It took a moment or two for the Digimon to comprehend what she just called them. "Wait, you know us Digimon?" Gabumon asks.

The lady smiled. "Yes."

"Who are you?" Agumon asks.

"I am Lily." The elder smiled. "And old friend of Gennai."

That quickly grabbed the Digimon's attention. "YOU KNEW GENNAI!?" They cried in union with complete surprise and shock.

"Once upon a time."
