It was a nice Friday at Kadic Academy which meant free day for gym class. Ulrich was playing soccer with Odd, Yumi was trying to teach Aelita to dance with a hula hoop around her waist while Jeremy was sitting on the bleachers checking the Superscan. Ulrich looked up at Jeremy.
"What's up Einstein?" Ulrich asked.
"I'm trying to check for any activated towers on the Superscan. Who knows when Xana will try to attack." Jeremy replied.
"Come on Jeremy, take a break for once in your life will you?" Odd interrogated.
"I'll take a break when the war is over." Jeremy responded.
"We mean one now." Ulrich demanded.
"Alright, alright, just toss me the soccer ball." Jeremy growled.
Meanwhile, Walter was in the garage working on a new invention that he said would 'help humans communicate better.'
"You know we have Paige for that." Toby stated.
Walter brushed off the comment before saying "Sure we do, but what if Paige isn't around during a case? That's why we need this."
"Do you know the percentage of a chance this thing could explode?" Sylvester worried while pointing to Walter's invention.
"It will be fine, I'm certain it won't explode." Walter assured.
At that moment, Paige walked into the garage and up to Walter's desk to see what he was doing.
"So, watcha working on?" Paige asked.
"Something he can use to replace you when you can't come on missions with us." Toby replied.
Suddenly, Cabe walked into the garage on the phone with someone.
"Saved by the bell." Paige muttered.
"Understood, okay, I'll see you then." Cabe ended.
Cabe turned off his phone after that.
"What was that all about?" Walter interrogated while putting down the screwdriver he was using.
"An old overseas work friend of mine who works for the DRM has heard of someone at a school called Kadic Academy who hacked the supercomputer of a large weapons manufacturer last night. Since all the other parts of the division have been given assignments he made sure our team could be given clearance for this mission." Cabe answered.
"So, when do we go?" Walter questioned.
"There's a jet all set up, and all the equipment you need is on the jet as well." Cabe replied.
"Well, let's go then." Walter instructed.
When everyone was on the jet, Paige had a rather uncomfortable discussion with Walter about replacing her on missions.
"You can't just do that to people." Paige complained.
"I understand that, but I don't want to bother you if your doing something important." Walter objected.
"Walter, Scorpion is important to me, your important to me." Paige stated.
"But, what about Ralph?" Walter wondered.
"Ralph is important to me too, but still. You and everyone else are of great importance to me." Paige insisted.
After a little while, the plane finally landed.
"So, we walk the rest of the way?" Walter inquired.
"The school is only a block away." Cabe replied.
When they got to the school they went straight to the principals office. When they got there they saw a man with grey hair, a grey go tee, a brown business top, sage brown pants, and black shoes.
"Are you the principal here?" Cabe asked.
"Yes, I am. What brings you here to Kadic?" Mr. Delmas asked.
"Agent Cabe Gallo, Homeland Security. Badge number 2835, I'm here because someone here hacked the supercomputer of a large weapons manufacturer last night. I intend to find out who and arrest them." Cabe answered.
"Of course, I'll just make a quick announcement that school is cancelled for the rest of the day and you can inspect everyone." Mr. Delmas spoke.
Everyone filed out of the room after Mr. Delmas said that. Meanwhile, the boys were racing while the girls cheered them on. Suddenly, the PA system was on.
"Attention students and staff, classes are cancelled today. Everyone please come single file to my office." The PA system then turned off.
Everyone then looked at each other.
"Well this can't be good." Ulrich worried.
"I agree with you good buddy." Odd agreed.
"I third that notion." Jeremy concurred.
The girls nodded their heads.
"I'll try and make a run for the Factory." Jeremy suggested.
But when Jeremy turned around he looked up to see Jim staring at him.
"Just where are you going?" Jim asked.
"Well you see Jim, I was going to help Yumi with some late night tutoring at her house." Jeremy answered.
"You should know Belpois, that dormitory students aren't allowed to leave the campus during night hours." Jim stated.
Jeremy knew that but he wanted to get to the Factory to check for any Xana trouble. But Jeremy decided to just sigh it off.
"And that's the end of that, for now." Jeremy spoke.
Jim then knocked on the door to Jeremy's room.
"Jeremy, Mr. Delmas would like to see you now." Jim stated.
"Coming!" Jeremy shouted.
Jeremy then walked out of his room and shut the door. Jim escorted him to the principal's office to make sure he wouldn't pull any stunts. When Jeremy was called to see Mr. Delmas he got up, shakily opened the door and nervously sat down.
"So Jeremy, there has been reports of a hacker at this school. Have you been doing any hacking recently?" Mr. Delmas asked.
"No sir." Jeremy replied while shaking his head.
"I see, well Mr. Gallo here will check your computer just in case." Mr. Delmas declared.
Jeremy then got up and ran to the boys dorms floor in a panic. He then started to bang on Ulrich and Odd's dorm door. Odd finally got up and answered the door.
"Oh, it's just you Jeremy. I thought it was G.I Jim." Odd answered.
"No, it's worse! There's a government agent who's going to check my computer!" Jeremy worried.
"Relax Einstein, I'm sure there's nothing to worry about." Odd assured.
"That's where your wrong Odd, I've been trying to hack Xana's firewalls. If they find out about those, they're sure to find out about everything else." Jeremy feared.
"Okay then, I guess your allowed to panic." Odd spoke.
"You tell Ulrich, I'll go upstairs and tell Aelita." Jeremy instructed.
"On it." Odd affirmed.
Ulrich told Odd he was going to practice his Pencak Silat sparring in the Gymnasium. Odd then dashed off to the Gymnasium. When he got there, he saw Ulrich sparring with Yumi. Odd then walked over to the two.
"Oh, thank goodness your still here Yumi, I really need to tell you something, both of you." Odd explained.
"What is it Odd?" Yumi asked.
"Someone is going to inspect Jeremy's computer!" Odd shrieked.
"I don't see a problem with that." Ulrich spoke.
"Me either." Yumi agreed.
"The problem is, the person will find Jeremy's codes for fighting Xana, and they might find everything else! Who knows how much trouble we might get in for that!" Odd exclaimed.
"Okay, that's definitely something bad." Yumi spoke.
"Jeremy said he's going tell Aelita." Odd stated.
"Good idea, Ulrich and I will distract Jim by asking him to referee our sparring while you, Aelita and Jeremy go to the Factory." Yumi instructed.
"Okay, good luck." Odd spoke.
"You to." Yumi spoke.
Odd dashed off to find Jeremy and Aelita. Luckily they were sitting on the entrance steps of the Science Building.
"Thank goodness you two are in the same spot. Did you tell Aelita yet?" Odd asked.
"No worries Odd, Jeremy informed me." Aelita answered.
"Okay, we need to get to the Factory now. Ulrich and Yumi are going to distract Jim by having him referee their fight while we head to the Factory." Odd stated.
Meanwhile, Cabe walked into Jeremy's dorm accompanied by Walter as Mr. Delmas interviewed every student with a computer except Jeremy.
"This is the last student the principal said he didn't interview with a computer in their dormitory." Cabe stated.
Walter checked the computer and found an interesting file labeled 'Project Carthage 2.0'.
"What's this?" Walter wondered.
"What's what Walter?" Cabe interrogated.
"Did your buddy mention anything about something called Project Carthage 2.0?" Walter queried.
"No, why?" Cabe asked.
"There's a folder on here with that name and it seems to have restricted access. It also looks like it was downloaded from a quantum supercomputer recently." Walter responded.
"I'll call him and see if there's anything about that file from the supercomputer at the facility." Cabe stated.
Cabe started dialing on his phone and exited the room. Walter looked at the top left corner of the screen to see something labeled 'Jeremy's Diary'. Walter thought about it for a few minutes and decided to snoop around. When Walter tried to see what was inside the file he couldn't get in.
"I guess I'll have to hack this." Walter remarked.
Walter managed to hack the firewall and opened the file. Walter noticed it was a video diary. Walter opened the latest diary entry and listened to it.
