A/N: Here is Chapter 3!

I liked Evan in X-men Evolution and he has grown as a character later on too! Enjoy and I do NOT own X-men Evolution.

Chapter 3: The Start Of The Brotherhood VS X-men

Storm smiles as she rings the doorbell to the house she pulled up to, her sister opening the door with a smile. "Ororo, it's good to see you." She says, embracing the weather witch.

"And you," Ororo smiles. "Where's Evan?"

"He's inside." Ororo steps in, waiting at a flight of stairs. "Evan? Auntie Ororo is here!"

The boy named Evan immediately emerges from his room and stops at the top of his stairs, Ororo noticing he wasn't too happy. "Evan, how are you?" She offers him a smile.

"Good. What brings you here Auntie O?" Evan answers after walking down the steps.

"I think you know why. We heard of the incident at your basketball game." Ororo sighs softly.

Evan groans. "Man! It just happened out of no where! Also Pietro was not cooperating with the team at all last night! Dude just wanted to make us lose."

"Will you and that boy ever get along?"

Ororo shakes her head.

"Probably not." Evan crosses his arms, looking away.

"Honey, I think you should go and stay with Auntie Ororo for a while. I'll tell your dad once he gets home from work. You can visit us, but you'll have to switch schools. It's for the best for the moment." His mother says gently.

Evan sighs. "Fine. I just hope you guys can help me with whatever's going on with me."

"Don't worry, the Professor can help and there will be others like you." Ororo smiles.

"Alright. Let me go pack a bag." Evan shrugs, heading back upstairs.

Ororo looks at her sister-in-law, a serious expression on her face. "Did you see what powers he had?"

"They looked like spikes protruding out of his skin, but they were gone as soon as they came." She sighs, crossing her arms.

Ororo just nods, wondering what full extent of his powers are. Evan appears with a bag, coming down the stairs and stopping in front of his mom to hug her. "I'll come visit you guys, okay?"

"I know. This isn't goodbye forever." She smiles. "Make sure you learn plenty of things."

"Yeah, yeah." Evan rolls his eyes with a smile.

Ororo says goodbye then her and Evan head towards her car, getting in and driving off to the Xavier Institute. Evan stared out the window with a blank expression on his face, while one hand played with a wheel on his skateboard. "Evan," Ororo starts. "You can tell me anything that's bothering you, okay?"

Evan sighs. "I know Auntie O. It's just… I wish my powers didn't come out during the game but I guess I got carried away.. or something and it just came out. No one got hurt and no one really saw except my parents and possibly Pietro. That jackass needs to be kicked in the butt sometimes."

"Evan, language." Ororo admonished.

"Sorry." Evan winces apologetically.

They pull up to the mansion, Ororo parking the car in the garage and getting out and head inside. Evan looks around as he walks inside, most of the teens hanging out in the front living room doing some sort of activity. Scott, Warren, Remy and Piotr were playing billards, while Kurt, Kitty and Bobby were playing a video game. Jean was watching Scott and Warren go up against Remy and Piotr. "You must be Ororo's nephew, I'm Dr. McCoy." Hank smiles as he walks up go Evan.

"Sup doc," Evan shakes his hand, Ororo coming up to him. "Didn't know you guys had a lot of students here."

Hank smiles. "Yes and we're hoping to help and have many more. You're more than welcome to get acquainted with everyone, I'm sure they'll want to meet you."

Evan nods, walking over to the group. Kitty makes a face as Kurt and Bobby were glued to the screen and determined on taking each other down. "Hey! No fair!" Kitty pouts.

"Gotta keep up, Kit." Bobby smirks.

Kurt sticks his tongue out as he smashes buttons, then he groans when Bobby takes him out. "Aw man! I almost had it!"

"Wooo! I win again." Bobby grins, then he notices Evan. "Who are you?"

"I'm Evan. I'm new, my aunt Ororo brought me over." Evan introduced himself.

"I didn't know Storm had a nephew." Kitty blinks.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Kurt, zat's Kitty and zat is Bobby." Kurt smiles.

"And the others over there playing pool are Scott in the shades, Warren with the wings, Piotr's the tall, bulky russian, Remy with the red on black eyes and Jean with the red hair. We're all pretty cool, so you'll fit in fine." Bobby grins.

Evan nods. "Cool. So… does everyone have powers?"

"Yup!" Kitty smiles. "Though we have to keep them under control when we go to school."

"So no one at school knows you're all mutants?" Evan asks.

"Nope. The Professor wants us to stay under cover until we can properly be introduced to the public. Right now mutants are feared." Bobby sighs.

Evan looks around at the others, noticing some have different appearances than the rest. "Yeah… I can understand staying under cover for a bit."

"Lemme show ya around, Evan. I think we're going to be great friends." Bobby grins, getting up.

"Thanks man." Evan smiles, following Bobby.

It wasn't until later that all the X-kids meet up for a training session outside with Logan, Beast and Storm. "Alright kids, we're going to try something different today," Logan announces. "You're all going to run through this course and try to get through as a team. But if one of you lags behind you all have to start over. Got it?"

Everyone groans, then gets ready. Hank gives them the go ahead, the group running off through the woods, the traps starting early. Bobby ice blasts a couple saw blades, Scott blasting some with his eye blasts while Remy using some charged up cards to take some more incoming saw blades down. Evan uses his spikes, sliding under some branches as he ran with the group. Piotr uses his metal body to block some saws coming his way, Kitty and Kurt phasing and teleporting out of the way. Warren and Jean dodged, using their powers to maneuver out of the way.

The group ran up a trail, Storm using her powers to throw them off, but they all either jump out of the way or tumble down. Scott shouts for everyone to take cover as Storm makes it's downpour with high winds, the group of teens using their powers to take cover.

Piotr knocks down a tree, using it as cover in his metal form to help the group get across the course, Scott using his eye blasts to make a trench for them to duck into. They reach the end after dodging multiple flying objects, everyone relieved as they relaxed. "Not bad." Logan comments, arms crossed.

"X-men, my office please." The Professor telepathically summons, some students jumping a bit as they still weren't used to someone speaking in their head.

Once everyone was inside, the Professor sits at his desk, hands together on his desk. "Seems the brotherhood are causing some trouble." Charles says.

"Don't worry Prof, we'll take care of them. They're no match for us." Bobby grins.

"Toad and his group are easily outnumbered, we'll be quick." Scott says.

"I would be cautious. They gained three more members, we don't know what their powers are like." Xavier nods as he cautions them.

The group head out, finding Toad, Lance and Pyro causing a bit of trouble in downtown Bayville. "Hey look, here come the X-Geeks." Pyro grins.

"What till they see what we got." Lance smirks.

"Alright you three, cut it out now." Scott says as the group approaches.

"Cut what out, Summers?" Toad asks innocently.

Lance makes the ground tremble, Pyro readying a flame monster. The group try to get their bearings, but before they could, a whirlwind of wind whizzes past them causing the group to spin around. "Oh no!" Evan groans.

"Hey Daniels, surprised to see me? Of course you are!" A silver haired boy smirks as he appears in front of Evan quickly, his speech just as quick.

Evan growls. "Pietro! What are you doing here?!"

"Oh you know, couldn't resist joining these guys when I heard you switched schools to join the X-men." Pietro looks at his hand, dodging a charged card. "Nice throw! Can't hit me!"

Remy narrows his red on black eyes. "Betcha I can try."

"Doubt it!" Pietro zooms up to Remy, kicking him. "You X-men don't stand a chance against us."

"We'll see about that." Piotr takes on his metal form, charging towards Pietro.

He was about to punch the speed demon when a giant hand grabs his. "Mind if I cut in?" A larger boy says.

"Get him Blob!" Lance grins.

"Piece of cake." Blob grins.

Piotr frowns, a small glare on his brow as he starts to go toe to toe with the Blob. Kitty and Kurt go after Lance, Jean and Warren swooping in to get Toad while Remy and Evan deal with Pietro and Scott and Bobby deal with Pyro. "Oi! Where's the Sheila?! We could use 'er help!" Pyro shouts.

"I don't know!" Lance yells back.

"Hold still!" Evan growls as he throws spikes at Pietro, but he zooms out of the way.

"Can't catch me! Oh! Almost got it! I'm right here!" Pietro mocks.

Evan growls in frustration, then he gasps and falls unconscious. "Evan?" Remy looks around, then turns and stops, red on black eyes staring into the same emerald green eyes he saw earlier.

Rogue pauses, her green eyes wide at the sight of Remy as her hand was frozen with its glove off. Both of them couldn't tear their eyes from each other, until Pietro slams Remy hard into the ground after whizzing by him. "What took you so long?" Pietro demands. "Mystique's gonna be pissed if she finds out you were late."

"Ah don't care." Rogue makes a face, getting back into fight mode, though deep down she didn't understand why she was fighting these other mutants.

Her gaze looks back to Remy who was on the ground, groaning as he struggles to get up with a card in his hand. "Ya look familiar…" She says softly.

Remy snaps his head up, Rogue feeling entranced by those red on black eyes. He gets up, bo staff out now. "Don' know where y' would've seen me, chère." Oops.

"Remy?" Rogue's brows furrow.

"Y' can call me Gambit." Remy smirks, readying himself to fight her, even if he didn't really want to deep down.

Rogue noticed his stance, hesitant to fight her classmate. Mystique and the brotherhood told her the X-men were bad, but from interacting with Remy at school, they didn't seem so bad. Noticing her hesitation, Pietro zooms over and knocks Remy over again in one speedy swoop. "C'mon Rogue! Chop chop!" He claps.

Rogue rolls her eyes, walking away. Pietro sighs in exasperation as Rogue walks away from the whole fight. She didn't want to be there anymore especially after finding out her handsome classmate was an X-man. The one thing that got her though was his eyes. He must've worn contacts or something to cover them up at school, but seeing what they really were like made a shiver run down her spine. They were captivatingly beautiful, but she had to remember that he was not on her side.

The other X-men had taken down the Brotherhood, Pietro helping his friends up and fleeing, Rogue was already gone. The X-men help each other, groaning a bit as they retreat back so they don't get caught by bystanders. Remy looks down at his cards, his mind wandering to Rogue. He wonders what school will be like now, now that both know they are on opposing teams. "Man! They totally ambushed us with their new members!" Bobby huffs.

"I wasn't expecting Pietro to come and transfer schools…" Evan grumbles.

"You knew him?" Piotr asks.

"Yeah. Me and him were on the same basketball team, but I didn't know he was a mutant…" Evan nods.

"Vell, at least ve still outnumber zem." Kurt says.

"Yeah but now we actually have to strategize more. Now that we know who's on the Brotherhood and what they can do, we can coordinate our attacks better." Warren pipes up.

Remy was still looking down at his cards, deep in thought. "Dude, you going to keep staring at your cards?" Bobby jabs Remy who snaps his head up.

"Jus' deep in thought." Remy puts his cards away.

"Man, that girl knocked me out though. I would have had Pietro if she didn't show up." Evan groans, rubbing his head.

"She didn' seem like she wanted t' be dere really…" Remy mutters.

"Don't worry guys, we'll be more prepared." Scott tries to cheer them all up as they enter the institute.

"So, how'd it go?" Logan asks as he sees them.

"The Brotherhood ambushed us with their new members, but we'll be better prepared next time." Scott answers, some of the others heading off to their rooms.

"I see…" Logan mutters.

Rogue lays on her bed in the Brotherhood house, staring at the ceiling blankly. "Why was he there…?" She asks herself.

She lays on her back as she stared at the ceiling, deep in thought as the commotion of the Brotherhood boys downstairs rang out in the background.
