Chapter Three: The Rising Tide
Poseidon/Julian Solo's Point of View
By: Lady Mochizuki
I'm watching Thetis and Oceania run errands for my Generals, and I'm vaguely aware that Oceania isn't one of us, but she chose to be here with us. A marine biologist, Sea Dragon Kanon, tells me. I believe Oceania was forced here by Kanon for whatever reason I'm not unaware of.
I did question the young woman in front of the Generals; she lied to me straight to face, but I could see the fear in her blue eyes as they landed on Sea Dragon and Scylla. I later questioned her again, but Oceania lied to me again. I wonder if someone had threatened her in any way or was the young lady is terrified of something or someone.
Hm.
As the months wore on, I noticed I had grown quite fond of Oceania and enjoyed her company whenever the poor young lady had a moment to herself. I believe Oceania and I met before somewhere, but for the life of me, I can't remember. I watched Oceania daily, trying to understand who she was or what she was hiding quite well.
Hm.
Then Athena and her Saints turned my world upside down, and it was my battle with Pegasus Seiya. It was revealed that Oceania was my best friend, Oceania Beneventi, because of the giant fan she used to protect me. I remembered that Oceania is a descendant of Oceanus or Old Man River. Oceania, despite trying to save me, ended up being poorly injured.
Hm.
In a rage, I unleashed my wrath on Seiya and Sea Dragon Kanon, but Oceania threw herself in front of them and used her wave rider fan unique to my queen, Amphitrite. I stayed my hand almost immediately until I found my true love.
I so ended my time as King of the sea.
I went every day to visit Oceania in the hospital, and I amended with Saori-san and her Saints.
I became kingly aware of my strong feelings for Oceania as I returned from Africa. I was told Oceania had taken up residence in Kido Manor at the insistence of the Bronze Saints. I called to let Saori-san know I was heading to Japan for Oceania. I detailed what I wanted to do for my brave spitfire party, thrown in Oceania's honor, as I waited for the honored guest to appear. I was surprised that Oceania appeared in a blue gown, and my heart melted as I approached Oceania.
I dropped to one knee, took her hand in mine, kissed it, and stood up without any preamble. I pulled her in my arms, kissed her, and swept her off her feet as everyone cheered our good health and fortune.
I took Oceania everywhere with me as my wife and as my queen.
The End of this Chapter!
