Chapter Six: A Tale of the Drunken Saints & The Bow Dancer
Orion Yasmine's Point of View
By: Lady Mochizuki
It was three in the morning when I woke up annoyed, hearing my cell phone buzzing like crazy I pressed the green icon button to answer my phone and listened to my Master's voice on the other side.
"Yasmine, the other gold saints, and I had lost our way back to Sanctuary. We're in a field of violets and daisies, and we're hoping you would pity us and find us." Death Mask whispers.
Sighs.
"I will come to find you and the others. I'll go wake up The Pope and Old Master to accompany me since trainees aren't allowed outside of Sanctuary without their masters and The Pope's permission." I said and hung up my phone.
I threw on my sweatpants and a jacket. I then trek up to The Seventh House of Athena. I'm sure I'd find Old Master, Dohko, and Pope Shion. On my way there, I thought of a thousand ways to make my Master's life miserable if I interrupted the two older men.
I politely knocked on the living quarter's door and waited politely for one of them to answer. My phone started to ring, and I sighed. I was about to answer when Dohko opened the door. I blushed deeply when I saw that Master Dohko only wore a towel while Pope Shion was partially covered on the couch. Dohko only smiled politely as I looked at my phone, trying not to look at him directly. Dohko only waited patiently as I got over my awkwardness. Give me a break, ok I was only eighteen.
Gulp.
I bowed politely and rambled,
"I was hoping you and Pope Shion would accompany me to retrieve my idiot master and the other idiots, all drunk and lost in a field of violets and daisies. I would go myself but the law. I'm sorry for interrupting you both. I'll go by myself."
I was about to walk away when I heard Pope Shion comment quietly,
"Dohko, we can't let Yasmine go by herself because I am quite certain that if she did, Yasmine just might take advantage of their drunken state and beat them up for what she had just interrupted."
Dohko caught my arm gently and whispered,
"We'll be coming with you; just give us a few minutes."
I nodded and kept my back facing the door. I will roast them alive for this because I will never get that image of the two most powerful saints like this out of my head.
"Yasmine, we can go now." Pope Shion called as he and Dohko led the way out through other houses and out of Sanctuary with me trailing behind plotting. I used google maps to pinpoint my idiot master's phone, and it took about half an hour to find them.
Scorpio Milo and Cancer Death Mask were having a yelling match and were about to come to blows, but I stepped between them, and I swept Milo's feet right from under him as I reached up and smacked my Master upside his head and grabbed his ear and dragged him toward home. The other gold saints just looked at each other and followed me back.
Dohko and Shion dropped their chins to their chests at the sight of the young one schooling her Master and the shocked faces of the others, especially the look on Milo's face when his ass hit the ground... priceless.
I made my Master sleep on the couch, and I went back to bed, dreaming of a particular Buddha incarnate.
The next morning, I taunted and teased my Master until he hauled himself off the couch and chased me. I, of course, began to sing to taunt him more. I hid in Aphrodite's garden, knowing my Master wouldn't dare harm the garden.
I watched as my Master finally gave up waiting for me and entered Pisces. I jumped on the roof and saw Master Dohko and Pope Shion escorting Lady Athena to the Citadel.
Sighs.
Duty calls, and I can't prank my Master and the others like I wanted to. This is the part I disliked the most. I jumped off the roof of Pisces and knocked on the door. Aphrodite answered, and I told him that Lady Athena was in Sanctuary, so it would be a good idea for him and my Master to drink some coffee and take some Advil just in case. I used telepathy to let the others of this. I ran up to Cancer to fetch something clean for my Master, and I took a quick shower.
I was about to leave when Master Dohko showed up smiling. I blushed darkly and looked at my feet with intense focus.
"Oh my, still shy, I see, but there's no need to be shy, Yasmine. I promise I won't bite. Pope Shion would like to speak with you." Dohko said in a teasing voice.
I just nodded and looked at the clothes in my hands. I teleported them to Pisces with a note and ran the long trek up to The Citadel of the Pope.
I was escorted to Pope Shion's office and found Lady Athena waiting a long time with Pope Shion. I bowed graciously to Lady Athena and Pope Shion.
"Yasmine, thank you for bringing the guys home last night, and I know you want to prank them. But could you just let it go, please?" Lady Athena cooed sweetly.
"Damn, she knows me too well. Well, of course, she does. Lady Athena witnessed first-hand just what I am capable of doing when I am provoked. But this is just for fun." I thought to myself.
I just nodded and smiled sweetly at Lady Athena.
"Yasmine, I know you had either booby-trapped the Houses or had already - the blood-curdling screams of my name cut off Pope Shion, and it was all The Gold Saints.
I didn't even enter the hall because they were all there. Pope Shion, Master Dohko, and Lady Athena facepalms while I teleported out of there singing,
"Roses are Red
Violets aren't Blue
Poor, poor goldies
I got pranked by the wily bow dancer
ha, ha, ha, ha, you'll never catch me."
I teleported to France, knowing the others were close behind, but I upped the game by closing off my cosmos so they could not detect where exactly I was. I am in trouble if they catch me, so I made counterparts to keep them busy. I knew a few who would not so easily be fooled, so I did a sensible thing and booked a flight to Japan for a few days.
I sent the doppelgangers around the world as I boarded my plane, laughing silently in my head, knowing only four hadn't taken the bait, so I had to make sure they missed me. I still didn't understand why they were so mad, for I was the one who had seen unspeakable things to make sure they returned to Sanctuary in one piece. Ok, maybe I shouldn't have pulled some of it, but it sure as hell was fun.
Oh well, I wonder if they'll put it all together, and they will figure out where I had run off to. I will make it a point to stay low-key so the Bronze boys don't find me too. I have a feeling Lady Athena must've sent word ahead to Seiya and the others to contain me if I am spotted in Tokyo. Good luck, boys, because I'm landing in Kyoto.
I fall asleep dreaming of the Buddha incarnate. I'm crushing on Virgo Shaka. My Master doesn't know, of course, or he would have locked me up in Aphrodite's cabin in Greenland. I'm careful always to keep my face an unreadable mask around Mu and Pope Shion, but if I know the older of the two rams, Pope Shion knows, and I wouldn't put it past Master Dohko either—cunning old cootes.
I woke up with a start when the older woman next to me touched my arm to let me know we landed. I smiled softly at her. I got off the plane and caught a cab to a cheap motel. I decided to see what Kyoto has to offer.
Back in Sanctuary
The Gold Saints went chasing after the Orion Saint, except for Mu, Shaka, Death Mask, Aphrodite, and the twins.
"Why did Yasmine pull those stunts? And Death Mask, can't you keep the girl in line?" Shaka grumps.
Death Mask grunts, but it was who Aphrodite answered,
"Yasmine is a grown woman, and I suspect she did what she did because she's annoyed with us for waking her up for our stupidity. Furthermore, I know why Death Mask's Bow Dancer did what she did because she hoped the stunts would snare someone, but simple things like love blind the man."
Aphrodite looks rather pointedly at Shaka and walks away with Death Mask, whose whistling follows.
"Do you think Shaka will do something about Yasmine?" Death Mask whispers.
Aphrodite shrugs.
"I hate seeing Yasmine hurting when it is so obvious she is in love with him, and he had better do something, or I'll kick his damn ass for hurting our Prinsessa."
Death Mask laughs darkly.
"What?" was the simple reply.
"Yasmine is my student; I see her as my little sister. I should be the one getting hot under the collar, but you want to shred Shaka's ass." Death Mask whispers.
Aphrodite stares at Death Mask with a look that speaks volumes.
"As I said, our princess deserves someone who will make her a priority, not just some plaything. I love her like a kid sister, so I am angry because I want to see her happy as any big brother would."
" I know."
Shaka looks at the retreating back of Aphrodite and Death Mask and back at Mu with a puzzled look.
"The girl Yasmine is crushing on you like Unique had been crushing on me. I will help you find Yasmine so you both can talk, and Shaka, I know you like her too, but you were afraid of what Death Mask would say or do. I believe it is Aphrodite you should also worry about and Kanon."Mu said, looking at the glowering Kanon.
Kyoto...
I decided to flare up my doppelgangers to see where everyone was, and to my surprise, everyone was in Kyoto because roses destroyed my doppelgangers.
Ah crap, I just gave myself away.
I was about to teleport, but Milo hauled me over his shoulder, and he gave my ass one hard slap as he teleported us away from Kyoto to Tokyo.
I am finally tossed on the couch unceremoniously by Milo as he and the others glare at me.
"We should kick your ass for what you pulled, a little girl, but in hindsight, we did deserve what we got," Camus said in his usual calm voice, which was betrayed by how angry he was.
I looked up at the faces I was met with, and I am guessing if Pope Shion sat a few feet away from me with Shaka watching me like he was a thousand miles away, my ass would be kicked.
Everyone except Shaka leaves. I looked over at Shaka, puzzled as to why he wasn't angry but starstruck if there was a word.
Shaka scooped me up and whispered in my ear,
"I love you, my Bow Dancer. I have loved you from the first time I saw you, and even now, I am enchanted by your daring personality and subtle beauty."
I looked up with my pink eyes widened in shock, and I burst into tears as Shaka kissed me and held me tightly against his chest.
" My Bow Dancer, let's go."
No one saw us for a while, but we returned to Sanctuary three months later. Aphrodite had moved me in with my boyfriend.
I didn't know my Virgo loved me as much as I loved him.
