When he woke up, Ralph had completely forgotten yesterdays events. He sat down having baked chicken and green beans. He didn't know why but Ralph felt as if all the energy in his body was replaced by an extreme hunger commonly seen by survival show competitors. Finishing all his dinner and a glass of lemonade. Ralph went to go to school but remembered it was a Saturday.
Ralph went to Paige's desk to see what she was up to.
"Hey mom, am I in trouble? Did I do something wrong?" Ralph worried.
"You didn't do anything wrong sweetie. Those people just want to see what you know about the incident." Paige assured.
Reluctantly, Ralph agreed that was all he needed to be concerned about. However, something was rebuking his mothers statement in the back of his mind, saying that he was somehow at fault for the incident. Paige went to talk with Cabe to see if there were any updates on his collegues arrival.
"Any news yet from your contact?" Paige wondered.
"He'll be here in an hour and a half." Cabe responded.
Paige looked down and sighed.
"It'll be okay kiddo, you won't have to say goodbye. He just wants to see if he can get any idea of who those kids were that Ralph saw in the basement at Caltech." Cabe explained.
Jeremy messaged Franz and sent him his portion of the coding for the firewalls. Franz sent Jeremy his coding to bind Xana to Lyoko. Everything checked out and when the coding was complete, they both agreed sleep was a must if they were to be at maximum efficiency the next day. However, both Jeremy and Franz stayed up until 2 in the morning, contemplating their pasts and futures. Jeremy awoke with his head on his keyboard while Franz got a normal rest until 5 AM.
"Morning everybody." Jeremy greeted.
"Morning." The others responded in unison.
Ulrich began laughing while trying -and failing- not to chocke onn hiis cinnamon cereal with hot chocolate.
"What's so funny Ulrich?" Yumi wondered.
Odd began laughing as Ulrich cackled and choked.
"You might want to keep tabs on Lyoko not your forehead Einstein." Odd teased.
Jeremy pressed against his forehead with his left hand and felt the indention of his keyboards spacce key.
"Well you won't be laughing once you hear about the amazing progress Franz Hopper and I made last night." Jeremy rebuttled.
"Yeah, you made as much progress on Lyoko as I did getting the courage to call Julia Roberts about taking her out to dinner." Odd remarked.
Jeremy growled and glared at Odd who closed his eyes and smiled in a 'please don't hurt me' attempt.
Jeremy merely continued on with his breakfast. Odd looked at the time on his phone which said 6:47, so they still had time.
"When are you going to launch the program?" Aelita asked.
"At two o'clock this afternoon, and then it's bye bye Xana." Jeremy responded.
"I can't wait to have a normal life again. It's been so long. All of this running and hiding, it feels like a shame to me." Aelita sighed.
"It's okay Aelita, it'll all be over soon. Then you and your dad will never have to hide again." Odd smiled.
And the comment got Aelita to smile too.
"You're right, I shouldn't let something as feeble as the past get ahold of me now in the present." Aelita agreed as she happily ate her yogurt.
"Are we going to shut down the supercomputer after we bind Xana to Lyoko?" Yumi pondered.
"It's the best thing we can do to prevent him from trying to wreak havoc on Earth again." Jeremy confirmed.
"Aw man, we only have 3 minutes left until classes start!" Odd exclaimed as he began using his spoon to shovel food into his mouth in a hurry.
"Mom, can I take a nap until they get here?" Ralph wondered.
"Of course, here, I'll get you set up on the couch." Paige responded as she kissed Ralph on the head before going off to fetch a blanket and pillow for him.
After obtaining the blanket and pillow, Ralph set them up, falling asleep soon afterwards.
Walter was still up and working on his newest project: A code that would stop a hacking attempt as soon as it noticed a certain string in the code. He was a third of the way done as he noticed it was 10:13. It was a good thing Ralph didn't have school the next day because he certainly would need the time to rest. It was 12:27 when a knock was finally heard at the garage door.
"Come in." Cabe spoke.
"I'm sorry I was so late, the jet lag's a killer. It's been a long time since we last met Gallo, looks like work's been treating you well." the agent teased.
"Guys, this is agent Norwin Corwell, we like to call him Cory for short." Cabe introduced.
"So, where's the little guy I came to interview?" Cory asked.
"Right over there." Cabe informed as he pointed to the couch.
Cory was surprised when he saw a 12 year old boy asleep on the couch.
"Come on sweetie, time to wake up." Paige whispered as she shook Ralph awake.
"Mom, what time is it?" Ralph yawned as he stretched and looked at his mother.
"It's 12:30 and the nice man is here to talk with you." Paige answered.
Ralph pushed both the blanket and his sleepiness aside.
"Hello Ralph, don't worry you're not in trouble. We just need to find out who needs to know they're in trouble so this matter can be dealt with." Cory assured.
"Okay." Ralph agreed.
"Now, where were you at Caltech when you noticed the intruders?" Cory wondered.
"I was in the basement." Ralph replied.
"And what were the culprits doing in the basement?" Cory queried.
"They damaged the supercomputer." Ralph informed.
"That is bad, do you remember what they looked like?" Cory asked.
Ralph nodded before explaining every single detail of their outfits that he could remember.
