Harry was sitting in his compartment, happily chatting with Sayuri, Neville, and the Patil twins. They talked about the last days of their holidays. A very joyous mood and thanks to some well-placed wards they got not ill intending guests. After the excitement of last year, Harry had new points he would focus on this year.
The study hall would be coming up, as would be his training with Professor Flitwick. Lastly, there was the problem with the failing magic around Hogwarts. He just hoped the anomalies would not be deadly and able to be managed before somebody would come to harm.
After the train ride and the ride with the Thestral carriages, Harry sat beside Sayuri and opposite Padma. He clapped respectfully for the new claws and even the other students of other houses, Who had given some awkward looks in his direction, but after they got the message that he just clapped for everyone, some even fell in and did the same. At the feast, Harry looked at one particular first year. A girl with blonde hair named Luna Lovegood introduced herself and told him that she was told that Erebos would not be here this year.
After he asked her how she would know that particular fact, she just answered that the humdingers hummed it to her. Harry had let Erebos stay with Orinda because he asked him if he would be able to manage it. Harry had said he would be able to because he knew that Erebos tried to help Orinda become an awakened Dragon. Not one of those mindless beasts that are held in reserves by wizards. No. A Liberated and free, intelligent Dragon.
"Can I have your Attention for one last time before you can go to your dorms, please?" The voice of the headmaster had no problems travelling through the great hall.
"First, let me welcome Professor Lockhardt to his new job as your Defense against the Dark Arts Instructor. I wish him the very best. " The blonde celebrity stood and waved his hand, showing his shining white teeth.
"After last year's exams, we were approached by one of our own if a study hall for all students of a year group could be established. This year, we will be the pilot of that idea with the second years. If the idea proves to have merit, we will expand it to all year groups as far as the requirements can be met."
Curious chatter rose before Dumbledore used a hand gesture to get everyone to calm down. "Notices on how to join this study hall will be posted on the blackboard in each common by the beginning of the second week of term. And now off to bed."
Once again, Harry enjoyed his single room even with Erebos away. He loved the peace and quiet before he had to start into the new day. He took out one of the books he got for his birthday and got to read. Meanwhile, in a different part of the castle, a redhead began to write in a black book. Like usual, it answered back.
Nearly two weeks later
Harry was sitting at the breakfast with his friends when Hedwig came down with a big letter. Thanks to his seeker reflexes, he picked it up without problem and handed his owl some bacon.
The script was one he could not forget, so fast, cursive, and elegant.
"Dear Monsieur Potter,
Hermione makes good progress in adjusting. I ordered her to write monthly from now on. She was reluctant, but I think it will be helping.
Fleur Delacour"
"Dear Master,
Fluer ordered me to address you as such and is controlling that I comply with that order. She has the strong opinion that this will help me adjust to my new status as your family's servant. To answer the question in your letter. I can only say I am very thankful that I accepted the deal we made, master. Beuxbatons is a much lighter atmosphere to study, and even if sometimes I get some snide remarks because I am British, I have the feeling I will be able to learn much more things here than in Hogwarts. The Library is much smaller, though, but the teachers are observant and punish bullying very strictly. Discipline is something they prioritize very high. Our Uniform has to be cleaned and straightened every minute. Punishments like Dententions are often used to let us wear our service clothing. For the girls, it is the maid uniform, while the boys wear a butler uniform. Nothing new to us, right master? Well, Fleur had me sign up for ballet and fencing. Some physical activities to balance out my reading habits and I look so cute in the dress were her words. She forced me to include some pictures. Please don't share them around Master, if possible, if you have to, at least not with the Gryffindors please. Gabriel is a wonderful roommate. We nearly got Detention for breaking curfew in our room. We talked so much and were so excited that we missed out on the silencing charms. The hall monitor gave us a warning, but next time, it will be service. Let us hope I can keep out of that outfit for some time. Even if I feel fine wearing it. I will keep you up to date with my studies and activities.
Your loving servant,
Hermione
PS: Yeah, I had to write that. I hope you are well, master.
Harry had to chuckle but had to admit Fleur was right. The dress for ballet looked cute, and her fencing uniform was nice too. He looked at the headmaster, who was currently talking to a house elf. Shortly after, he nodded and got the attention of everyone in the room.
"Good morning, everyone. I would like for the Quidditch Team Captains, Heads of House, Madam Hooch, and Mister Potter to follow me to the Antechamber."
Sayuri looked at Harry.
"Harry, what have you done?"
He just smiled.
"Oh, I think you will hear it shortly. Have to go. See you in Herbology Sayuri."
She huffed at her friend before Harry joined the others in the antechamber.
Dumbledore smiled as Harry joined them.
"Ahh, Mister Potter. I heard you had a very big proposition to make. If you would be so kind?"
Harry nodded before he elaborated for all present.
"It is really simple. Through a stroke of luck, I managed to get into contact with Bolt Brooms. I got a sneak peek at the new broom and asked them if it would be possible to build a student version of it. After some conversations, we worked out a deal, and I got something out of it."
Marcus Flint, as the Slytherin Captain, sneered. "Oh yeah, and what is that?
Harry chuckled. "Oh, that is easy. I get some fairness into our league. Competition, save brooms for the flight classes. And stop the whining that some players or teams can only win because they have the better brooms. Bolt brooms will provide all the teams brooms and the brooms for the flight classes.
"I sponsor the brooms and we all get new and safe brooms that are nearly at professional level. All the school would have to do is agree to the deal and only allow the bolt brooms to be used for quidditch matches and flying lessons. As you can see, no strings attached, we all will fly the same brooms. The real battle will be based on skill alone."
Harry could see that Marcus Flint was struggling with joining in the enthusiasm of the other captains. He brushed against his thoughts to find them surprisingly mostly undetected. Only minor shields he could ignore. He could see the picture of Flint talking with Malfoy about how Malfoy's daddy would sponsor new brooms if he got the seeker spot. Well though, luck Malfoy. You better be skilled in something. Harry told himself before he waited for Dumbledore to finish speaking with the Heads of House.
Dumbledore finished shortly after. Not even Snape could go against the three others.
"Mister Potter, the school graciously accepts your offer." Even the mostly sour-looking Madam Hooch smiled. Finally, she got new brooms.
Harry grinned. "Perfect. By your leave then, I have places to be. Defense, to be exact."
After a dismissing wave of Dumbledore's hand, he got out. Using some secret passages he needs only five minutes to get to the classroom. Luckily, his seat beside Sayuri was still free.
The girl looked at him with a questioning look. The Professor was not in the classroom, so Harry indulged in her curiosity.
"You remember the Emberbolt?" Sayuri nodded. "I was able to secure a deal to equip the house teams and flying classes with Emberbolts."
Sayuri gaped, but before she could say something, Lockhard pranced into the room.
"Can everybody see me? Can everybody hear me?" Harry looked at his Teacher as he began to tell them about his exploits and achievements.
He looked at Sayuri, who gave him the same look. Something was not right, and after Lockhardt unleashed the Pixies that had scared him off, Harry knew what it would be. Whipping his wand and unleashing a wide-range Immobulus to get the pixies, he looked at his fellow students. Lockhard left the classroom after the pixies got his wand.
"Are you serious? Nobody thought of using Flippendo or Immobulus? We learned them last year." Harry was angry that nobody had thought of doing something. They just had covered themselves. Sayuri had pulled out her wand with him but had not wanted to interfere, so she did nothing. After that excitement, they both got to the next classes.
Hours later, Harry finished his homework in the index. Even penning letters to his aunties. Currently, he was working through the memorization of the hand seals used in the eastern way to do magic. Funny enough that he uncovered something that he missed out last year on. Magic was Intent, but Humans had learned to manipulate their own magic while most magical races and creatures managed to manipulate the magic around them. For example, Vampires even managed to manipulate the magic of another human being by injecting their magic directly into the bloodstream. Harry was writing notes and experimented and got to the conclusion that vampirism and lycanthropy must be something based on that theory. Now that he knew where that was coming from, maybe he could analyze those things. The Parselmagic book had some very detailed diagnosis charms or better rituals. Parselmagic was different. It was human magic again so it mostly used the inner magic resource, but at the same had the possibility to enact a sympathetic connection to the target because of the magical nature of the language. Charms in Latin or other human-based languages could only get you so far but an incantation or charm based on a magical language was on a whole different level.
One of the big negatives Parselmagic can't be done silently. You have to somehow hiss the incantation. The author of his book was of the strong opinion that the truthfulness of a chant in Parsel was the reason for the better results of Parsel-based healing magics. Something Harry could agree on based on the evidence the author had explained. Now he was starting to learn two things Parsel and Wandless magic. Thanks to the index he could always cross-check his ideas and works with the more obscure books available in the index. He would stay here before the study hall would start.
Study Hall, Library Wing some time later
Harry was still standing at the entrance table handing out the study hall contracts. Something he came up with last minute as he erected a ward in the Snake tongue without anyone noticing. It was intent-based and would see somebody thrown out of the room if he or she wanted to cause trouble for the learners. The rules for the study hall were listed on the contract and each member of the study hall could collect points for their houses and for their own so to speak as members of the staff would get reports from the house elves who helped their classmates. After handing out all the contracts needed Harry joined Susan, Hannah, and Neville at the table. The last two seats left were filled by Sayuri and Padma.
"Okay, let's talk about the defense curriculum. I managed to get my hands on the ICW regulation. Well, I won't say we are doomed, but with Lockhard more inclined to teach us how to do our hair and smile like him while he lectures about his stories, I propose we go through the curriculum from below OWL year to after OWL years in this study hall. Theory and practicals, of course." Harry started while Padma had gotten hold of Harry's provided documents from the ICW Education Office.
"Harry? If those files are accurate, we are even behind in the first-year course." Padma had quickly analyzed and compared it to what they had learned last year. Seeing Harry nod, she sighed.
"You are serious?"
"Nah, that's my godfather. Didn't you read the newspaper?" he tried to joke around. While Padma huffed. Susan and Hannah did not really look amused either.
Neville looked at Harry. "You have known about this since last year, didn't you?" At Harry's nod, the girls looked shocked.
"I did, and after that, I talked to the staff. They needed some time to get the room and everything ready, but here we go. I will make duplicates of the ICW curriculum and post them in the room. For the moment I only have them for the core subjects and not for electives like Runes. The reason is really simple though. There are no fixed classes in the ICW region for those subjects. Core Requirements for Application for an apprenticeship but that's all."
Sayuri nodded. "Well let us focus on the pain points. Which in our case is DADA and Potions mostly." The group started with their work and got to it really quickly. As they moved from theory to practicals Harry was approached by students of all houses to explain a spell or two, after they could see how quickly he got them right.
It looked like most of the time it followed the same procedure in the study hall. In the beginning, most of them sat down to catch up on theory before they would wait for Harry's group to get to practicals and ask them for advice. Mostly Harry and Sayuri, who had no problems with mastering the DADA spells quickly.
Harry and his group used the study hall each day and could connect with some of the other second-year students. Not that they were all good with all the students. There still was some animosity and bickering with groups of students. All together though, they established the study hall as a safe space to learn away from house rivalries. All thanks to Malfoy that violated the contract and was thrown out by the wards.
The days were now filled with peaceful learning and most of the time peaceful times between the classrooms. Good start for the teams, they would get some excitement as the new brooms arrived and each team would have some time allocated for them to try out the new product. Each player would have to sign a lease agreement that if they would willingly destroy the broom they would have to replace it.
Some Players with a not-so-strong economic background had struggled to sign those papers. Harry was fast to intervene here, giving them the option to loan money if needed at a very small interest rate.
After the struggle that everyone had to sign those agreements, for the lower years their parents or guardians, got the team brooms. The twigs were colored in house colors. A simple charm Madam Hooch could adjust if they wanted for teams to change brooms or other things to encourage fair play. The players mounted their new flying devices and after a short second and one of the beaters nearly colliding with his buddy, they did go through some drills.
At first glance, the handling was very rough till Harry noted, that the broom handling could be described as nearly telepathically and they would have to dial down on handle movements. After that, each player adjusted very well. The Emberbolt had much better brakes and handling than the current top-of-the-line brooms. Because that was the school league version the top speed and acceleration were much less than on their soon-to-be-released professional broom but even that managed to stand on even ground with the new Nimbus 2001. The brooms for the flying lessons had more limitations on them that could be easily lifted by Madam Hooch. It looked like Harry's idea managed to gain acceptance over the following week as all team captains had only positive things to say about the new brooms.
Harry was proud of his achievement and could not wait for the start of the season.
Some weeks later, Hogwarts ground level
Harry had picked up his stroll through the castle with his map still not finished and the Sub Level of the Dungeons unavailable without Salazar's password he got to explore the part where the Hufflepuff dormitory was supposed to be. His parsel magic tracked the biggest source of magic and landed him in front of a portrait with a bowl of fruits. Using some more charms he could that the magic kind of was centralized on the pear. Carefully letting his fingers wander and feeling for the magic he tickled the fruit and after listening to its snickering he entered the Kitchens.
"The Great Harry Potter Sir, what a coincidence Dobby wanted to tell the Great Harry Potter about the Danger in the castle, but he had to help the elves of Hogwarts. Something is wrong with most of the elves. We covered for them but missed out on warning the Great Harry Potter Sir! Dobby is a bad elf"
The small creature was pulling on his ears as Harry tried to look around and saw many elves lying around. Something that, as far as he learned of Houseelves would not be tolerated.
"Well, Dobby right? Can you tell me what exactly is wrong?" Harry tried his luck only for the elf to burst into tears.
"The Great Harry Potter Sir, asks for Dobby's help even after Dobby failed him." he wailed only to be stopped by Harry giving him a very carefully measured knock on his head.
"Thank you Great Harry Potter Sir! Dobby is unsure, somehow some magic of the wards is overfeeding the castle elves. Dobby is not sure about that."
Great the very first anomaly he encountered was oversaturated elves that could not really work at the moment but also he got the comical impression of magic-bursting elves in his mind that he really did not want to get reality. He needed something to get the elves to lose the magic they did not need. What could he do?
"Dobby how can House Elves lose a bit of the magic that they won't use normally?"
"Elves could do bigger magical feats and repair things like in the Come and Go Room. Or they could mate with other Elves and make little Elflings."
Harry had to blush at that blunt answer. With fourteen years and getting Ophelias improved version of the talk he knew exactly what he would prefer.
"Could you maybe point the elves to that task maybe even, as a wish of mine that the items in the Come and Go room could be used again? If they can't do it they could sort it out and I can help in the end. It would be my pleasure to do so. The other option is something I don't want to intrude but I think I could provide some help cooking something nice with those of you that can still help. Prepare some food for tomorrow maybe?"
After Harry them convinced, that it was not below him to do so, he and the remaining elves made some meal preparations for tomorrow, while some of the elves got up slowly to pop into the come-and-go room. Seeing some of the elves still not leaving Harry tried to appeal to their bon to Hogwarts that it would not be a good service to the school if they would not use the magic they got ill. So he watched as some pairs disappeared. Well, not that Harry wanted to raise the population of the elves but if it helped, what should he do?
He had not solved the Problem but he mitigated it for the moment as he left the kitchens late in the night. Making his way through hidden paths thanks to his knowledge of the serpent tongue. As he entered his room he was surprised to find the fat friar in it laying down a very real parcel, how the ghost was able to do so was lost on him but about the content the ghost could help him.
"Greetings young student. I'm very happy to deliver this key to you Mister Potter." The Friar smiled as he looked at Harry.
"You mean, that I earned the Key of Hufflepuff?" Harry tried to get a bit more details out of the Ghost, maybe even a hint to the next quest.
"The Key of Hard Work yes. You can be proud that you fulfilled that by helping the elves in the kitchens. We ghosts knew that something is happening at Hogwarts and hope that the living can deal with it before it will escalate further." Like he sensed his thoughts or could even read them he looked at Harry with a sad smile. "Unfortunately, we are not privy to the information you are looking for Mister Potter. We wish you the very best on your quest." The ghost had waved him goodbye before he traveled through the stonewalls.
Harry looked at he parcel and opened it taking hold of the key only for it to disappear like the first one. He could feel his magic accepting the key like it did the first. Halfway through, halfway to go. He just hoped that he could deal with all the things happening in Hogwarts. Maybe he could ask Professor Flitwick what he could do. He would need to talk about that when they would pick up their dueling sessions after Samhein.
Samhain 1995, Great Hall, End of Dinner Time
The students of Hogwarts just had finished their this time uninterrupted dinner and were about to get back to their afternoon activities. Most of the second year and some upper years decided to get some studying in. To get to the Library or the Hall they had to get through the second floor. Harry had a feeling that something was gonna happen, his senses could pick up something before he heard the voice of a snake whispering, getting quieter like it was getting away. Not being able to understand the words but hearing the shriek seconds later he knew something was very wrong. Pushing through the crowd he was just in time for a certain blonde ponce to read the message out for the masses.
"... the chamber of secrets is open once again, enemies of the heir beware." Turning to his classmates. He had a satisfying smirk on his face. "You will be next Mudbloods!"
Harry was far enough in the front and raised his voice. "Ahh Thank you Mister Malfoy for crying out your racist paroles like a braindead monkey. That would be a study hall ban for the next two months." Getting looks from his classmates Professor McGonagall was the first to arrive on the scene.
"What happened, …" she looked at the writing and Mrs. Norris that was pinned beside it. "Uaireannan!" She quickly levitated the cat back down. Someone had managed to alert the headmaster about it so he joined the group and analyzed the cat. The caretaker Mister Filch was wailing about his dead cat only to be consoled by the headmaster that she was only petrified by means unknown and could be restored thanks to the maturing mandrakes.
Harry just gave his group a sign that he wanted to investigate it further. Ducking out of the corridor he used his cloak and followed the party to the hospital wing. Luck was not on Harry's side as he arrived at the wing where the teachers already had left. But was he really unlucky? Checking if the Matron was around and with only the cat in the wing it looked like she was in her office Harry had the time to analyze Misses Noris. His charms were quick in giving him a result. The magic that petrified Mrs. Norris had its origins in the same magic he used to analyze her state. With this information, it was not a big mystery to the raven-haired boy anymore. The responsible person was no person at all. He was fairly sure that he was the only one in the student body that was currently able to speak in the serpent's tongue so that only left a magical snake. He quickly got through his knowledge of magical serpents and Mrs. Norris did not look like she was made out of stone. That crossed out the cockatrice or Narga. So maybe it was something different. He tried to remember the crime scene looking for details. He had served long enough in Ophelia's court to have a good memory. Revisiting the scene in his mind he looked around. The writings in some blood, the door to the second-floor girl's bathroom. The pool of water right before the door.
"Oh fuck me."
"Exactly Mister Potter even if I wouldn't use that language that will be five points from Ravenclaw. Would you explain to us why you are here?" Harry looked behind him and cursed himself for his bad sensing. Looking at the faces of Professor Flitwick, Snape, and a twinkling Dumbledore.
"Hello Professors, funny thing that you ask." Harry tried to come up with a good reason to not go into details. Looking for an out and not finding one he sighed. "It could be that I am able to analyze what Miss Norris had in this state. Hypothetically speaking I could even try to lift the magic on her to prove my point. The chant would be…"
He paused for a bit as something came to mind
"…have to be delivered vocally but also is family magic so I would have to ask you to step away I guess"
Snape clearly said that he wanted to say something but Dumbledore only looked at him to silence his rant that wanted to break out of him as the Headmaster would look at the Head of House Ravenclaw before looking back to Harry. „Mister Potter would be open to let Professor Flitwick cast a ward. Because I would be inclined to let you try as long as you can assure that Miss Norris comes to no further harm."
"I could agree with both Professor, to be honest, if that is what I think is true then we are in some, pardon my language deep shit" He looked at them with an honest expression.
Dumbledore looked at Flitwick who nodded before putting up the ward. Harry could feel the magic settling in just at the right time for Snape's rant to not be hearted by him. Deciding to trust his Head of House he chanted twice in Parseltongue. First to get a feeling how deep the magic took hold. The results were astonishing. It was like the body was frozen in time. A Short Legilimency Probe showed the mind was frozen too. He knew of only one snake able to do something that would be able to do something like that. That was the king of snakes. In his Healer book was one specific mention of the possibilities of Basilisk's ocular magic. It killed by sight, but somebody could be saved by countering the curse and restarting the body with an improved CPR charm. Both had to be chanted in the serpent's tongue though and you had only a small time frame before the body of a living being would be past the point of no return. Miss Norris' state was something in between. Harry was fairly sure that the mandrake restorative potion could help but the charm to counter the Basilisk magic might be just a bit quicker and he clearly could see that a Basilisk running free was something bad. He began to chant.
The Professor looked at the scene as Harry chanted for the first time Snape made his opinion known. "Really Dumbledore, he is just trying to look important. Don't you see that did nothing? "
Filius intervened for his student. „Severus I don't think that if even our headmaster was not able to counter curse with the wide knowledge he had and you were also not able to do so how do you think that Mister Potter just waves around his wand once and the cat is heeled. I think he made some more diagnosis to really be sure what he deals with."
Dumbledore just looked as he saw Harry chanting again and this time he witnessed something marvelous. It looked like something was leaving Miss Noris.
As it looked like nothing was left she looked a bit more lively before it stretched and rubbed herself a bit at Harry's leg after he had petted her. Following that she jumped the ward zone looking at the three gobsmacked Professors meowing at them with a strong indication of her displeasure at them before she left the ward with her fluffy tail held high.
Before Flitwick got to pull down his ward Harry stepped out of it looking at the three still-shocked professors and his face said everything like he had seen death he was a bit paler and his shoulders were sagged. "Headmaster, what is the protocol for a free and seemingly controlled king of snakes that is on the loose in a school for children"
"Pardon me Mister Potter, but you said we have a Basilisk on the loose?" Harry nodded slowly while Flitwick swore in the native Goblin tongue.
Harry did not get everything but it was a very creative way how something sticking deep into the rear of a cow or a bull. Harry was not so sure, he should brush up on this.
After Harry had launched into the wide-ranging explanation and even again came out as a parseltongue again. As Dumbledore mentioned that now the killed rooster of Hagrid made much more sense Harry just launched into a laughing fit. As he got calmed down by Flitwick he also explained why.
"Well, whoever thinks that a rooster can slay a magical snake that needs magical alchemy to successfully breed. Had really misinterpreted Newts explanation. First of all, yes, a young Basilisk is vulnerable to the crow of a rooster. But with reaching his maturity and at the same time its killing gaze, the crow of a rooster would just do the same thing as throwing dragon dung at an approaching and angered goblin warrior.
"It would enrage it enough for it to hunt you down till you are dead. That's a good thing that the person controlling the Basilisk is not knowledgeable enough to know that fact. It means he or she never really studied magical snakes." Harry took a short break after finishing the explanation.
Flitwick was the one asking the important next questions. "Well, killing this snake will not be easy. We even don't know where it is hiding at the moment or who controls it. That is a big list of unknowns and how are we Professor gonna deal with it." Looking mainly at the Headmaster his head snapped back to Harry as he harrumphed.
"To be honest Professor You will have little to no chance of dealing with it." Looking at Mount Snape that was seconds before erupting he shook his head. „Just give me a second to explain."
Harry waited till he had their attention before he started. "First of all, If this Chamber of Secrets exists it will be locked with Enchantments and Wards in Parselmagic. Both things that if someone is not able to speak the Serpent tongue will cause a major reaction of them.
"Second. You have little to no defense to the killing stare. The only known magical defense to it applies to speakers and speakers only. Which, you are not. So if you do not want to go on a goose chase of a magical snake you have only brute strength against and search the needle named Chamber of Secrets in the big haystack called Hogwarts. Something you may have already done and never could accomplish…" Harry said letting what he said sink in.
Snape really got still and silent after his explanation. The brat had just listed all those things that would maybe lead them to certain death. The Headmaster was looking deep in thought, gone was his signature Eye twinkle. Looking at the second year that had literally called them out to do something foolish and dangerous his voice was solid but measured. „Mister Potter, I think that I can agree with your words, mostly that is. Many headmasters have searched for the chamber, nowadays it is regarded as a mere myth. But fifty years ago it was opened and after one student died and someone I am sure was not the culprit had been punished for it, it looked like the real culprit had closed and stopped. After that, I searched for myself and never found anything."
Harry nodded before he started calculating in his head he facepalmed. "Okay the first person that opened the chamber fifty years ago is most likely the one that is now behind the reopening."
Snape sneered and looked at the boy. "And who would this mysterious person be?"
Harry looked at the Potions Master with a smug look. "You should know him. I mean that maniac gave you that magical tattoo that I can sense and smell from fifty yards."
Dumbledore stopped Snape from intervening, unneeded because the pale-faced former Deatheater got just a bit paler and was mini steps away from reaching the complexion of a ghost as the Headmaster began to speak. "Are you sure about that Mister Potter? I think he is not able to do so physically at the moment."
Harry gave a short nod "I think he got back to playing Puppetmaster. How, I have some ideas, coming back to the School and one rampaging Basilisk though. I will start investigating, I really would ask the ghost to accompany the Students and work as a lookout. To not alarm the Puppet you should cover it up while I go hunting for the how and where."
Dumbledore could agree to that, he even had a good plan on how he could work it out. "Mister Potter how do you plan to hunt for the snake, the puppet, and the chamber."
Harry's bright grin looked like the cat that got the canary. "Well, with Snakes of course!"
