A Dog's Purpose Is Strange Magic 2 Chapter 23
The unforeseen revelation that Hagrid is the one who opened the Chamber of Secrets 50 years ago is stunned disbelief and denial.
In their eyes, there's no way such a kind and gentle dispositioned man like Hagrid could possibly be responsible for these devastating attacks along with the stuff that went down decades before. Although Hagrid's affinity for liking large and monstrous creatures where others would stay well away from them doesn't bode well in the evidence already laid out against him. But Harry said he saw it with his own eyes.
Honestly, last night, the news had unsettled Harry so badly that he retreated for the safety of Gryffindor Tower instead of outright confronting Hagrid outright about it.
Harry proceeded to relay everything he saw that Tom Riddle showed him. He had to recount it repeatedly over and over again at Hermione and Ron's urgings so that not a single detail is left out. From the student that had been murdered by the monster all the way up to Riddle apprehending Hagrid and the creature, their friend had been so keen on protecting.
That giant spider had run off into the night.
As terrified as he is of spiders Ron still finds this information hard to process and finds it highly suspect. He's the most vocal about showing his own personal input.
Shaking his head as they were walking through the halls, Harry said "I still can't believe it was Hagrid."
Emphatically, Hermione said "It can't be Hagrid. It just can't be."
"We don't even know this Tom Riddle. He sounds like a dirty, rotten snitch to me. A bit like Percy. Who asked him to squeal on Hagrid, anyway," said Ron, disdainfully, speaking in Hagrid's defense.
"The monster had killed somebody, Ron. What would any of us have done," argued Harry.
Baileys has to admit Harry does have a point there. Judging by what happened with Voldemort and Quirrell last year they probably would've been in the exact same boat as Tom Riddle. Doesn't mean she has to like it.
"Look, Hagrid's our friend. Why don't we just go and ask him about it," reasoned Hermione.
Bailey yips rapidly shaking her head in a no gesture.
Sarcastically, Ron scoffed "That would be a cheerful visit. Hello, Hagrid. Tell us, have you been setting anything mad and hairy loose in the castle lately?"
Definitely not a good idea.
In the end, it's decided that Harry, Ron, and Hermione won't go to Hagrid with their questions. They don't want to accidentally accuse him of anything. After all Hagrid has lived here and worked at Hogwarts for decades and hasn't committed any such crimes at present. There's no proof that he is actually the culprit this time around. Only if there is another attack then they will choose to act on this sheer absurdity. No sense in senselessly endangering Hagrid and his place here at Hogwarts if it isn't correct.
Insanely optimistic.
By the Easter holidays, the trio had other pressing matters to contend with. For example, choosing class subjects for the third year that will follow them all the way up to their Sixth after taking their O.W. L's in fifth which is a long way off.
They're right in the middle of it with the pups gathered around them in a castle courtyard napping in relaxation underneath a tree when Neville suddenly appears. The poor boy is breathing heavily from running so hard, but he continues on with a frantic look on his face, alarming them immensely.
Panting, Neville said "Harry, I don't know who did it, but you'd better come. Come on!"
Neville doesn't leave time for any explanations for he turns tail and heads back off in the direction he came leaving the others no choice but to follow. The pups are excited when they see they're heading for Gryffindor Tower. The whole cluster hadn't set foot in there together for months since they were moved down to their pen.
This will be a brief visit. No doubt Harry will take them back down with Bailey after this is finished.
Neville leads them straight to the 2nd year boy's dormitory.
Bailey skids to a dumbfounded halt, her pups bumping into her from behind, eyes huge at what Neville is so intent on showing them.
The entire room is a mess, a complete upheaval.
The contents of Harry's trunk had been scattered everywhere. His cloak lay ripped on the floor. The bedclothes had been pulled quite unceremoniously off his four-poster bed and the drawer had been pulled out of his bedside cabinet. The entire contents are strewn over the mattress.
The entire room resembles the aftermath of a tornado plowing through.
Shaking off the initial shock Harry carefully begins to dig through the mess doing an inventory of his belongings and seeing if anything is missing. Bailey assists along with her children once they respond to her command to do so. Anything solid and whole they pick up in their teeth and carry over to Harry in a pile after they shift other stuff aside with their paws.
Ron, Hermione, and Neville left for the common room as they left them to sort things out on their own. By the time the group is finished, Neville is in a separate corner and Hermione and Ron are patiently awaiting them near the fireplace.
The pups aren't the only one's ecstatic with them being back in Gryffindor Tower. Other Gryffindors from various years are present and proceed to take advantage of this opportunity. Freely playing and romping with them as they converse with Bailey keeping a careful eye in supervision all the while eavesdropping on the ongoing conversation.
"It had to be a Gryffindor. Nobody else knows our password. Unless it wasn't a student," guesses Hermione, aghast.
As far as they are aware there's no one suspicious currently in Gryffindor Tower. All the people that are in there at the moment have dispositions that would never implicate them in committing a crime like this.
Flabbergasted, Ron said "Whoever it was, they must've been looking for something."
"And they found it. Tom Riddle's diary is gone. I couldn't find it anywhere," declared Harry, eyes wide.
It's true. It wasn't in the pile Bailey and her kids had erected for him. Not a trace of it anywhere. Realistically Bailey is satisfied the thing had vanished. Its continued use and presence in their lives made her extremely unsettled. The reasons behind someone wanting such an object so desperately are what's concerning her, especially regarding the information it holds. Perhaps they'd stumbled on a magical object the person responsible for the attacks was using for information gathering.
If so then this does not bode well for the student body at Hogwarts if this in fact is the case.
Bailey is snapped out of her musings by a pain-filled yelp.
Friendly.
Friendly had been trying to instigate some play with Ginny but the softspoken redhead was intent on ignoring him. Friendly is persistent, insisting she play with him.
Out of nowhere, Ginny had snapped. Kicking the male pup harshly in the stomach causing him to voice a yelp and leaving him winded. Ginny glares uncharacteristically at Friendly with a clenched jaw, hate, disdain, and contempt flaring in her eyes.
"Ginny," shouted Ron in disbelief.
Ron's exclamation appears to trigger an immediate switch in Ginny.
The expression on Ginny's face transforms into horror and regret. Tears swelling in her eyes at what she did Ginny grabs her stuff and bolts up the stairs into the girl's dorms.
Bailey rushes over to her ailing son to check on his wellbeing as a shocked Fred and George head over to their younger with equally upset looks on their faces.
"Did you all see what we just did," said Fred. "I can't believe Ginny just did that."
George said "What's gotten into Ginny lately? She usually likes being around the puppies."
Shaking her head, Hermione said "Has she been acting differently than she normally would?"
"A little quiet and shy but we just figured it being this is her first year here at Hogwarts and her crush on Harry," said George, shrugging.
The last part made Harry blush bashfully a little.
Fred said "We thought she was coming out of it. She seemed to be coming out of her shell these last few weeks and then she does something like this."
"I wonder what's causing her to act this way," said Ron in confusion.
This kind of revolting behavior isn't like the girl at all. Something's off with Ginny, considerably so.

For those of you on fanfiction I'm sure you've been facing the many unwanted ads when you're reading a story. Well, yesterday, I finally had enough, and I got an adblocker app. It worked! No more ads on any level! The one I got is Adblock Pro: Safari Ad Blocker. It really works. Just follow the instruction video that it attached to it.
Heads up everyone there's someone on fanfiction you need to seriously watch out for. Early a couple of months ago after I woke up I was checking my email and I saw I had a new guest review on my A Dog's Purpose Is Strange Magic 2 sequel. I took a look at it and got a very big shock. Some random person I've never spoken to before on here or anywhere else in my life was basically threatening me. Intimidating and practically ordering me to write a threatening letter to someone on their behalf, telling to stay off of for life or else they and everyone else close to them would be killed, disgustingly telling them to kill themselves. And at the bottom of the message this crazy person wasn't done. Warning me that if I don't send the letter then they would kill me and for confirmation to email them to make absolutely sure I complied with their demands. Of course I did nothing of the sort. Instead of doing what they wanted I reported them to the website, sent copies of this deplorable guest review message to police officer cousins of mine so they could have it on file, and I went to a nearby police station and reported it.
When I spoke to the police officers and they checked everything on the message they saw, that while the address and names of business were accurate the people and their names were not. They agree it was more than likely a scam because of the email address on the bottom in order to perhaps get access to personal information or potentially hack my computer. Despite that I'm still very happy they took it seriously as I showed and told them everything. All the same I'm still very happy that I brought this to the attention of law enforcement. Even though the entire thing might be fake I'm still very happy to have brought this to the attention of those who can do something about it if it was legit in some way. This may have been a scam, but it's obvious these people are beyond irresponsible if they try to goad people into sending death threats to random strangers just to get access to info.
Be that as it may if this does unfortunately happen to you do not send any messages to the email addresses they put down and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you bring the message to the authorities immediately whether it is legit or not.
Because it's a guest review it might not be visible for a couple of days as it loads if it is sent to you. But when it does you should definitely pressing the report abuse button and send it to the email that leads to the support staff that is available.
Just a heads up to those of you who aren't aware of this yet, Email alerts for this website are now only active if Email opts is enabled in account settings.
I hope you all like this one! I certainly did while writing it for your vast enjoyment! ;D
For those of you just starting out with my stuff there are other works on my profile that may catch your interest. I highly recommend you take a look as soon as the opportunity presents itself to you. Who knows, you may be pleasantly surprised by what you discover.
Stay safe everyone. Especially with all of these crazy natural disasters occurring a lot lately due to global warming and climate change everywhere for sure. I swear it's like they're getting worse and worse all the time and it's like officials are simply just ignoring it or pretending it doesn't exist entirely just to go on with their daily lives. Especially those in multi-million dollar companies that rely on certain elements of our planet that we rely on to naturally keep us safe instead of adapting and finding new safer ways to keep in business. There are so many options out there where they can adapt, but they just refuse to see it because all they care about is money. Climate change is altering so much faster than anyone can really keep track of.
So, in light of all this, it is important to live life to the fullest as much as anyone can.
I know I am. ;) See you guys next time.
