Chapter 5: Nothing At All

"So be it."

Everyone in the room watches the standoff in silence, waiting for Nebula and Peter to make their moves, each studying the other.

To say Peter looks pissed off is an understatement.

His narrowed rageful silver eyes stare at Nebula intently, a couple of stray tears of frustration gliding down each of his cheeks, dissipating into his beard. His lips quiver against his clenched teeth, his fangs on full display and the claws on his fingers twitch in anticipation against the rock they pierce, his legs digging in deep into the pillar.

Those lost to the Snap have never seen the usually gentle and always smiling Parker burning from such feverish fury. Michelle and Ned in particular always saw their friend find the light in the harshest of situations, never truly succumbing to his anger.

Especially when he got his powers.

It's becoming clear that awareness and precaution are long gone, superseded by a volatile temper.

The familiar look of painful certainty in the boy's eyes haunts many within the meeting, flooding them with unspoken memories of the past.

Parker's reached the verdict on his suicide mission.

He's decided to end it now.

The honourable, selfless way.

The Parker way.

They can only imagine the expression on Nebula's face, and the panic in her heart, despite her stone-cold composure.

They are about to battle for the privilege of saving the other from a permanent fate. The Avengers left behind know for a fact, that if Peter wants something, nine times out of ten, he gets exactly that.

They watch Peter tilt his head at Nebula, the anger on his face subsiding just enough to show him beginning to lose his composure; second-guessing himself. He shakes his head, sucking up and fighting the endless, perilous tears that threaten to boil over and shatter his resolve for good.

"If you're going to move, Nebula, now's the time," Peter whispers, his eyes never leaving his target. "Don't make me take the initiative."

"It doesn't have to be this way-"

"What choice are you giving me?!"

"About as much as you're giving me!" Nebula bites back, her left arm shifting into a blaster, firing multiple shots in quick succession at the Huntsman.

Peter quickly acts, leaping from the pillar with such strength he splits the rocky formation in two. Nebula steps back, barely evading Parker as he crashes into the rock she once stood before, slowly turning to look at the luphomoid before pushing himself from the wall. As he begins stomping towards her, Nebula quickly glances for a way around her friend as she is forced further from the ledge.

Suddenly, Peter's physical advantages are on full display, towering over the luphomoid, her head barely reaching the spider's neck. Furthermore, the solidity and amplification of the super soldier serum, and Parker's obsession with being the most superior version of himself is evident on his body. Far from the short, skinny-athletic build of his teenage years; now with a tall, brawny and lean form, pushed to its limits through years of warfare and vigilantism.

A physique conditioned to tear nearly anyone apart at any given moment, considering Peter is within reaching distance of Nebula, he can strike at any time and knock Nebula out of the fight. Instead, it's very clear he's toying with her, trying to make her afraid of him, to push her to submit and back down from his challenge.

He doesn't want to hurt her.

"What's your play here, Nebula? Huh?!" Peter screams, clenching his metal fist, spikes protruding from the knuckles. "You know you're outmatched here."

"I'm not going to just let you do this, Pete, you'll have to kill me for that."

"If I must," Peter growls, maneuvering around another blast from Nebula's arm before snatching onto her neck, holding her cybernetic arm at bay with his other hand.

Nebula raises the wrist gauntlet on her free hand, firing a concentration of a sonic high-frequency right in the Huntsman's face. The frequency forces Peter to drop the luphomoid to the ground, covering his ears as he screams in anguish, a pained expression on his face.

Nebula doesn't skip a beat, moving to the other side of Peter before firing a charged round at his midsection, sending him flying down the steps. Slowly, Nebula turns to face the edge of the cliff, not paying mind to the Red Skull as she makes her charge. Her breathing is heavy, her heart accepting her chosen fate as he reaches ten feet to the ledge, when the Huntsman suddenly lands in front of her.

"You think it was gonna be that easy?!" Peter calls out, the cocky look on his face quickly shifting to confusion when Nebula doesn't slow down.

"No!" Nebula shouts back, firing the frequency at the spider again, disorientating him long enough for Nebula to tackle Parker, sending them both off the cliff.

Peter snaps out of his dazed state and without hesitation, fires a web at the wall of the cliff, clutching onto Nebula's waist before swinging them towards it. Slamming the luphomoid into the rock, the Huntsman swiftly releases her, webbing her hands to the wall, taking particular care using the extra web on her cybernetic arm.

"Well, that was a little dramatic, don't you think? What good is it if we're both dead?" Peter crosses his arms, legs effortlessly sticking to the wall, shaking his head, but not looking particularly amused by the outcome.

The battle is over, he won the fight.

But nobody truly wins the war.

"Peter-"

"It's done, Nebula," Parker whispers, eyes blinking through the tears. "It's done."

"Please don't do this, I'm begging you," Nebula sobs, struggling to break through the webbing. "Pete, what- what do I tell the others?"

"The truth, Nebs. As Doctor Strange said, there was no other way, one of us had to die, and I decided it had to be me. Look," Peter pauses, gently wiping away Nebula's tears. "Before I go, I- I have gifts I made for everyone, in my lab, tucked away in a safe, large fucker, hard to miss. You deserve what I made for you, I'm sure you'll know how it works, I just need you to have it, I need everyone to have the gifts. The code is sitting on my desk-"

"I don't know if we can do this without you," Nebula begs, wishing she could wipe the tears from the boy's eyes. "We only just got you back."

"With time, you'll all be okay, but just as importantly, you'll bring everyone back. That's a privilege, Nebula, to know my sacrifice is for the greater good, that I'm exchanging my life for trillions more. I've been undeserving of everyone's love for quite some time, but please know that without it, without you all warming my heart, I may have never returned for the Time Heist. It's meant to be, Nebula-"

"You don't know that, you don't even know if it'll work if we can bring everyone back-"

"Oh, Nebula, that's what you have to understand," Peter leans in, placing a kiss on the top of her head. "It's all a leap of faith."

Without hesitation and with a soft smile on his face, Peter leaps from the wall, pushing out as far as he can, letting himself plummet to the ground below. Before the video can finish and Nebula can watch Vormir become consumed in that bright light again, Friday suddenly stops the video. The display switches to a sudden warning; Return imminent.

"Sir, it appears Mr Wilson has used the emergency countermeasure to make his return."

"What's happened? Is he hurt?!" Steve questions, turning to face the Tempad, waiting for his companion to appear at any moment.

"He's sustained minor injuries, but appears to be having a panic attack," Friday explains. "There's something else."

"What is it, Fri?" Tony asks, frantically switching to Wilson's vitals. "Talk to me."

"Someone appears to have followed him through the Quantum Realm-"

Like on queue, Sam collapses onto the Tempad, his white suit dissipating to reveal the extent of the damage on his suit. His Falcon wings have been torn off, and his chest plate is shattered. A cut above his brow and a bloodied lip are the extent of his injuries, nevertheless, the look of dread on his face as he scurries closer to the group is enough to send chills down everyone's spine. Steve, Bucky and Pietro are the first to his aid, the speedster reaching him within a blink.

Most concerning of all is Sam still has the briefcase with the Soul Stone inside, prompting numerous questions as to why.

"Listen to me! I'm sorry, but he managed to follow me! His sixth sense isn't working, so we can take him down! I just wasn't enough! He was going to tear me to pieces!" Sam shouts distraughtly, shaking the arms off of him. "I need everybody who can't fight to take a safe distance back, everyone else, arm yourselves with what you've got!"

"You're not making sense, Sam, who managed to follow you?!" Pietro questions, when the answer springs from the Tempad, landing on it with a loud thud.

Everybody focuses on the figure standing on the Tempad, their hood and cloak torn all over, revealing the deathly pale face of Peter Parker. The black veins all over his face match the darkness that has consumed his eyes, causing everybody to freeze at the sight. Gradually and cautiously, those eyes assess everyone in the room with zero recognition, Parker's stance slowly shifting to almost that of a predator ready to pounce, only taking his time deciding on his prey.

Ned and Michelle begin to slowly step back beside Pepper and May, Happy and Laura following them, steadily removing their pistols from their holster. The Avengers, those who love Peter, prepare themselves for the likelihood of a vicious fight with the undead remains of him. Yelena and Kate shake at what's before them, unprepared for what they may have to do.

Seeing him die was heartbreaking enough, but to see the result right before their eyes, makes them and everyone wonder-

Why has this become of him?

What did he do?

Tony begins to raise his hand onto the arc reactor on his chest, the movement noticed by the shell of his former protege. With a twitch and a monstrous shriek, Peter leaps towards Stark, claws and fangs at the ready, only to be knocked out of motion by Steve's shield. The force of the super soldier's throw sends the beast into the wall of the gymnasium, cracking and sliding against it for a moment before connecting his claws. Recovering inhumanly fast, Peter stares at the many approaching combatants, a primal rage beginning to consume him.

"Peter! Look at me!" Tony calls out, the nanotech of his suit now covering everything but his face. He instantly gets the beast's attention, watching him tear the remains of his cloak from his body, dropping to the floor before stomping towards him. "It's me, Tony! It's the Avengers! Your family! I don't know what's happened to you, but- you have to be in there somewhere!"

"Tony, he's gone!" Steve shouts, propelling his shield again when Peter gets too close to Tony, in complete awe when Peter snatches it last second, flinging it right back at him.

The power of the throw forces Bucky to take the initiative, pushing Rogers out of the way to catch the shield with his vibranium hand, sliding back at the impact.

Now they have his attention.

"I thought you said his sixth sense doesn't work?!" Bucky growls at Sam, standing between him and the threat regardless. Tony fires his repulsor into Peter's stomach, sending him backwards, the claws on the latter's armoured hands causing sparks as he rolls and slides back to his feet.

"Let's find out!" Clint declares, reaching into his quiver and retrieving three concussive arrows, firing all of them simultaneously, each of them knocking the spider further away from his prey. "If it was the kid, none of them would've touched him. We can take him down."

Peter lets out an ear-piercing shriek, fangs bearing as he leaps towards his nearest target, kicking Steve in the stomach and sending him flying into the wall. Parker reaches to attack Bucky and Sam, but his attempt ceases when two Widow bites and two electrified arrows stick to his chest plate. The shock pulsating through the spider's body is enough to slow him down for a moment, dropping to one knee before tearing off the arrows, two more Widow bites unable to stop him from rising.

Bucky strikes the spider in the head with Steve's shield, knocking him back down, only for his legs to be gripped onto by metal claws, slicing through the former Winter Soldier's skin, his body hurled into Sam before can get the chance to take a breath. During the fray, Wilson drops the briefcase, the lock breaking and scattering the Soul Stone onto the floor; the spider immediately notices the glowing deep orange hue.

Like an arachnid drawn to the sunlight.

Retracting the string, Clint shifts his bow into a staff, swinging it towards the spider, striking him in the head and chin, barely phasing Parker. With a growl, Peter grasps Barton's quiver, swinging him onto the floor before catching Hawkeye's staff, about to drive it into the man's chest. Before he can, however, the sound of a releasing bowstring warns the Spider of an incoming arrow, flinging Clint aside to snatch it in the air, holding it curiously.

"Everyone cover your ears!" Kate orders, resisting the tears that threaten to pool over her eyes.

The tip of the arrow activates, releasing a sonic scream in Peter's face, causing the spider to bellow from the anguish, instantly dropping the source of his pain. Bashing the staff into the sonic arrow shuts it down before his and everyone else's eardrums explode. Slowly facing Kate, Natasha and Yelena standing on either side of her, aiming their handguns and gauntlets at the spider in warning, the Widows' cold expression barely keeping fortified.

"Don't!" Natasha cautions the spider, watching Loki and Rocket sneak up behind him, firing another Widow bite into his stomach as a warning.

"Pyotr, please!" Yelena implores, her hand quaking against her weapon. "I don't know what's happened to you, but you have to wake up from it."

Groot's heavy footsteps as he follows Rocket alerts Peter of their presence, provoking further aggression, swiping his claws at the God of Mischief. The claws, however, slice straight through the illusion of Loki, frustration taking over as he throws attack after attack to no avail.

"Hey, bug boy!" Rocket jumps past the spider, swiping him in the cheek with his own claws. "Catch me if you friggin can! Leading him to you, Thor!"

Thor stands uncharacteristically still, appearing more discouraged by the sight than keen for the combat before him. He calmly watches the rabbit lead the former Man of Spiders right into his proximity, Rocket scuttering behind the God of Thunder. Odinson does nothing as the shell of the man before him strikes his chest with his claws, the nanotech slicing through the man's shirt, but shattering once they reach the God's skin.

The beast looks perplexed at the sudden absence of his weapons, snapping to strike again as the God of Thunder swings Stormbreaker at his friend. With a loud grotesque roar, Peter catches the hammer side of the weapon, venom dripping from Parker's fangs under the pressure of his clenched jaw. Thor drags the weapon backwards, headbutting the spider before successfully colliding the hammer into his chest plate, shattering the spider-shaped arc reactor and sending nanotech everywhere as he's sent into the air.

Tony and Carol use the opportunity, flying and tackling Parker into the ceiling, holding him at bay by his arms and shoulders.

"Well, the only thing we seem to be doing is trashing the place!" Tony screams, turning to Carol. "What's the game plan here, Carebear?"

"You're out of ideas?!" Carol retorts, snapping her hand on Peter's head when he almost propels out of their grasp. "Knocking him unconscious isn't working! We'll try getting into his head! Wanda and Pietro-"

Before Carol can finish the order, Peter fires a web into the Kree hybrid's mouth and onto her nose, causing Danvers to release him instantly; leaving Tony alone to hold him steady. As Carol tries to tear out the webbing, suffocating as she struggles to stay floating in the air, Peter kicks off the wall, sending him and Tony crashing into the floor. Parker clutches onto Tony's helmet with an iron grip, launching him into the holo table before Stark can pursue an attack.

"Enough of this!" Pietro screams, shaking his head. "I'll take it from here."

"Pietro, wait!" Wanda warns, she and everyone watching the speedster knock the spider into the wall in the blink of an eye.

Maximoff continues punching Parker, the wall beginning to crack and break away from the speed and number of them. After throwing his hardest strike, dazing the spider, Pietro grabs onto Peter's neck to hurl another, caught by surprise when Parker snatches onto his in return, lifting him off the ground. The spider goes to bite the speedster with his fangs when Wanda uses her magic to catch his jaw, pulling her in front of him; the Soul Stone sitting between them.

Slamming each of his fists into the floor, Peter lunges to attack the Scarlet Witch, catching everyone by surprise when he halts suddenly. The Soul Stone begins to rise from the floor, levitating in front of the spider, faint whispers echoing through the silent room. Entranced, Peter reaches out to the Stone, a red mist covering the orange glow as Wanda attempts to keep it from him.

However, Wanda's powers aren't enough to keep Peter from the Stone, or rather-

The Stone from Peter.

Without warning, like drawn to a magnet, the Soul Stone bolts into Parker's chest, its orange glow overpowering the entire room in a bright flash, blinding everyone momentarily. With Wanda's magic still affixed to the Stone, her consciousness is dragged into Peter's mind, the deepest, darkest parts of Parker's life slowly beginning to overwhelm her as it flashes before her eyes.

Wanda sees everything he's seen. Hears everything he's heard. Feels everything he has felt, revealing everything to her; secrets he's shared with others, and a secret he has shared with nobody.

Unfortunately for her, it begins the night Peter resolved that being Spider-Man wasn't enough for the Post-Snap world.

A scream of anguish escaped the lips of a shivering body, a plea for mercy, a blade twisted between broken ribs.

Three heartbeats faded away, shattering the remaining, letting the coldness seep through the cracks.

Angry, shaking hands desperately tinkering away in Peter's lab, recently trashed and torn to pieces.

Gunfire. Screams. Blood.

Tearing agents of the Cooperative apart with his strength, killing everybody in his way with brutal efficiency and spectacle.

Finding Fisk, fighting him to the death, crushing his skull with thumbs in his eyes, avenging what was lost.

The victory not being enough.

"I'm with you Frank. I'll fight this war with you. Until everybody is too chicken shit to ever consider committing a crime. It has to be us. It needs to be us."

Wanda feels Peter's misery and despair numb over the years, his empathy and compassion for the innocent never waning.

Unfortunately, due to what the young spider sees and experiences over the years, any sense of compassion towards his enemies numbs completely; becoming more barbaric as time wears on.

Peter never lets himself feel for his enemies, believing wholeheartedly, through their crimes they've surrendered any and all of their rights as human beings-

Better off being slaughtered like the animals they are.

Along with his sense of mercy, Parker's will to live is held together only by his will to keep fighting, at least until he dies a soldier's death; a warrior's death.

Ultimately, this has led to Peter brushing with death more times than he ever cared to mention.

And he never cared to mention those times, now revealed to Maximoff.

His trembling hands turning fierce, pulling against restraints as a scalpel carved into him; a scalpel he'd return to his captor with worse consequences.

Peter dragging his broken body up a rocky cliffside after a mission he barely accomplished with his life.

Pushing himself out of the rubble after a building collapsed on him for the second time in his life.

Nearly being dismembered by a group of released human spider hybrids.

His body swaying against the noose tied around his neck; if not for Bucky forgetting to knock on the door.

Yet, among the painful secrets, Wanda's mind is flooded with memories of the few moments Peter felt something.

The few moments he felt alive.

Laying on a picnic blanket with Morgan and Pepper, the former laying her head on her big brother's chest as they watched the sunset.

Proudly teaching Miles, Gwen, Jessica and Cindy how to use their powers, guiding them to be what Spider-Man should've been.

Sitting around a fire with the Rogue Shadows, his second family, drinking and laughing through the night before a mission that could kill them all.

Working alongside the beautifully tenacious and charismatic Yelena Belova after initially trying to kill each other-

-and the hot, blissful time they shared a few nights after.

Protecting and apologetically nurturing Kate Bishop after she was regrettably hurt while rescuing her from her own mother-

-as well as the delicate, tender passion they shared in Kate's bold gratitude.

The way his heart skipped two beats when he saw them both again, despite the outrage he felt when they risked themselves to save him.

The melancholic fulfilment he felt seeing the Avengers, his loved ones, and the loves of his life for the last time.

Then Wanda saw it; Peter's greatest secret.

An unspoken deal was struck, a contract he seemingly broke by giving his life in exchange for the Soul Stone.

It could very well be the reason he's 'alive' in the first place.

Wanda begins to fall backwards as her consciousness returns to her mind, her brother and Clint catching her before she can. Her rapid, heavy breathing continues as she turns to face her brother in panic, still registering her surroundings.

"Sister, it's us! It's me and Clint! You're back, you're okay!" Pietro reassures, holding her steady. "Are you okay?"

"I'm- I think I'm fine, I saw-"

"Kid?" Tony's voice snaps their attention to him, watching as he slowly approaches Peter, who kneels, face directed to his chest, staring at the Soul Stone now lodged within him like an arc reactor. Pepper, Laura, Yelena and Kate gradually join Stark's attempt to reach out to him, careful not to startle what they're seeing.

Peter slowly looks upwards, the colour on his face returned, his eyes no longer devoured by darkness, glowing a bright orange, matching the Soul Stone. As he begins to observe and take note of everyone in the room, however, the orange light withering to the beautiful silver many have grown familiar with. Strangely, the Stone changes alongside his eyes, seemingly adjusting to its new keeper.

Peter then looks down at his hands. "What is this? What vision is the Stone throwing at me now?"

"Pete?" Laura speaks softly as she looms in, getting his attention. "This is real. You're- alive."

"No. No, this- this can't be," he shakes his head, quickly surveying the room again, a genuine smile appearing on Parker's face. "This is just another dream."

"Honey, I'm telling you, all of this is very much real," Pepper assures. "The Time Heist worked, Bruce brought everybody back, Thanos followed everybody through the Quantum Realm, but Thor was able to snap him and his army away. The only person we lost was you, and now- you're somehow back."

"This doesn't make any sense."

"Pyotr, listen to everything around you, and focus on your senses, you'll find we're telling the truth," Yelena ensures, an uncomfortable silence looming over the room as Peter takes his time honing in on his senses.

They watch as he tilts his head, eyes widening for a moment before he furrows his brows, all of a sudden he looks angry. Very angry.

"If this is real, then I'm wondering what the likelihood of Ned and Michelle being here is," Peter pauses, slowly facing Stark. "What are they doing here, Tony?"

"I- they-"

"Okay, I'm definitely not dreaming because at least in my dreams, I get a straight fucking answer," Peter growls, looking back at the holo table. "You told them."

"Peter, they deserved to know the truth," Yelena states.

"The truth?! And what truth is that? What exactly were they told?!" Peter raises his voice, causing a step back from everybody in his proximity.

"As much as we know," Tony admits, the nanotech of his suit retreating back to the arc reactor. "The Huntsman, the Rogue Shadows, what happened on Vormir. We thought you were gone, Pete, regardless, you have every right to be upset-"

"UPSET?!" Peter screams. "All you had to do was tell them I did what was necessary! Not as Spider-Man and certainly not as the Huntsman! As Doctor fucking Parker! What part of you or anyone else here for that matter, believes that I'd want the people that got taken from me to know what I've become?! My best friends?! MY FUCKING AUNT?! Why would I want them to know about the monster I've become?!"

"Honey, nobody here thinks that," Laura remarks.

"Tell that to her!" Peter motions to Wanda, still shaken up by the tour within her mind. "She's seen everything, so I really have no secrets, huh?"

"Pete, we understand, you have to believe that," Tony does his best to comfort his former protege, appearing only to anger him more every time he speaks. "Losing us, only to lose Miss Hardy, it wears down on you over time and you end up walking a different path. Nevertheless, the part of you that doesn't take innocent lives is still there-"

"But I have taken an innocent life!" Peter roars, freezing once the words leave his lips. He quickly glances at Pepper, who shakes her head at him, never saying a word. "It seems the real reason I am what I am is yet to be established, and since there are only six people in this room who know, I might as well spill, right?!"

"Peter, you don't have to do that," Pepper cautions, knowing he's going to regret every word that comes out of his mouth.

"Apparently I do!" Peter shouts, closing his eyes as he lets out a soft sigh. "Felicia and I were days away from leaving New York when the Tracksuit Mafia took her under Fisk's orders. She'd stolen from him and Wilson sold her to the Cooperative in retaliation. When I found her- she had wounds and lesions on her that to this day I never thought possible. So I did the first thing that felt right, I took her and ran out of that facility. I took bullets, even a knife to the ribs getting her out and onto a rooftop nearby, but- I was too late. They tried turning her into one of me, but they failed and she began mutating into a monster. She begged me to stop it, pulled the knife from my ribs and held it against her own. I had no choice but to do it, I had to end her pain, forcing me to listen to her heartbeat fade away. Hers, and the heartbeats of our twins."

He doesn't dare look at any of them in the eye, retreating back to the floor. "I killed the first love of my life and my children. So yeah, something snapped in me that night, something was telling me that being Spider-Man wasn't enough for what the world had turned into. Maybe I would've stopped myself from taking that step, but when I confronted Fisk, you know what he did? He offered compensation for Felicia's death and guaranteed his offer would be more than enough. Everything made sense at that moment, I knew what was about to happen, what I was about to do, did I hesitate? Betray Felicia's memory by second-guessing myself? Maybe, but that didn't stop me from tearing through everyone in that facility and didn't stop me from hanging Fisk by his own entrails. Nothing did."

Nobody says a word, left speechless from Peter's disclosure to the group. After all, what could they say to that?

"What?! Nothing to say?! What was I supposed to do?! Felicia was my home, those children were my hope! And Fisk just expected me to walk away from that?!" The orange glow of the Soul Stone returns to his eyes and chest as he stares at Tony. "You and I both know, Stark, if it were losing Pepper and Morgan, the entire world would be burning beneath your feet. I did what I was trained to do, avenge, and I'll be damned if I'll begin regretting that now. Fuck, I'm not even supposed to be alive to tell you all of this! I was never supposed to face all of you, to see all the looks of pity on your faces! I hate it, and it's what I was afraid of!"

"Pete, regardless of what you may think, we wholeheartedly want to help you," Tony guarantees, the look of defeat on the man's face deep down hurts Peter. "Our opinions or love for you hasn't changed because of the things you've done."

"I don't believe that for a second, and if it hasn't changed yet, it's about to. Mind where you're standing," Peter growls, a large metal ball bursting through the floor in front of Parker, levitating by tiny thrusters attached to the nanotech. The ball disengages, reshaping into a red and black spider symbol that attaches to Peter's chest, covering the Soul Stone and engulfing Parker in a red and black suit.

The red part of Peter's suit only covers his head, upper body and fingertips, the black shrouding the entirety of his lower body, arms and the haunting pitch-black lenses of his mask. A black spider symbol creeps onto Parker's chest from the darkness of his lower body, spread out towards his shoulders.

"I warn you now, anybody who follows me, tries to stop me from what I'm about to do, will become an official enemy of the Huntsman," Peter states, his voice now modulated to depict a deeper, sinister tone. "I don't want to turn on the people I love, but considering you're betrayal, don't expect me to go any easier on you if you try to interfere."

Peter walks towards the exit to the gym's balcony, the door sliding open automatically for the Huntsman. He leaps onto the railing, looking out at the view of the city.

"And what exactly are you going to do, Pete?" Kate questions softly, noticing Peter freeze for a moment, perhaps reconsidering what he's doing, before turning to face her.

"Well," Peter chuckles, his body beginning to disappear when he activates a cloaking device in his suit. "I'm going to kill Doctor Strange, of course."
