A/N: Hello everyone! and welcome to my short story list! this is where I will put some of my ideas into. Who knows, maybe some of them will be made into actual fics someday!
I know i still have Dreemurr Of Zero to finish, but i like to use this to get all this ideas out of my head, some of them may be good, some bad, some utterly nonsensical. There will be quite a few fandoms in this list. But since i will mainly write Touhou Project ideas and stories, I'm putting it on the Touhou section in FFN.
Now, without further ado, enjoy!
(This one is partially inspired by The Flower that followed the sun Touhou Doujin)
Inspiration: Touhou Project
Premise: What if the Youkai of Flowers finds a baby and decided to raise it as her own?
Before we begin, every story has a protagonist, and in this particular story, the protagonist is one Kazami Yuuka,
Yuuka Kazami (風見 or 幽香 Kazami Yuuka) is a long-lived youkai called the "Flower Master of the Four Seasons" whose main place of activity is the Garden of the Sun, a field completely covered in sunflowers. She loves seasonal flowers, so throughout the year she moves to the respective places where the flowers grow: spring flowers for spring, summer flowers for summer, autumn flowers for autumn and sometimes winter flowers for winter. But in this Particular year she finds something much more interesting within her garden.
Yuuka's POV
It was a normal day like any other. The sun was just showing up on the horizon, a gentle breeze passed over the flower fields, making them sway slightly, a handful of clouds covered the sky, and i only have my beautiful flowers to accompany me on this quiet day.
"What a boring day..." I said aloud.
Unfortunately for me, i only had my flowers to accompany me. It does get lonely being by myself. And my reputation as a 'fearsome' youkai doesn't help my situation one bit. I sighed, "What do you think i should do mister sunflower?" I asked as i caressed the petals of one of my sunflowers.
But as expected, only silence answered me, sometimes i really do wish the flowers could actually converse with me, perhaps then it won't be as lonely in this Garden of mine.
"If only something interesting would happen around here..." I sighed. Before something caught my attention.
"Hm...?"
I suddenly felt a presence on the perimeter of my garden. "A guest? I wonder who it could be?" I wondered aloud. Hopefully it's not just some fairies doing a test of courage or something annoying like that. Or perhaps it's another lost human?
I flew towards where i felt the presence, it was a small one, almost unnoticeable, But as i flew closer, i suddenly heard the unmistakable cries of a small child, and decided to fly faster towards the source.
"Oh my..." I mutter to myself.
When i arrived there i saw a small basket lying down on the ground, partly covered by the tall grass and flowers, a child's cries came from inside of it. There are bloodstained hand prints covering the sides of the basket, as if someone was bleeding when carrying it. There was another trail of blood leading deep into the nearby forest.
It seems whomever this basket belong to has perished while hiding it. Shaking my head, i laid my parasol down and gently picked up the basket and peered inside.
The child was young, possibly only a few months old, It's eyes was closed because of the tears while it cried. The child has short auburn hair, and pudgy cheeks, I slowly raised the blanket covering the child to check its gender, finding that the child is female.
To calm its cries down i reached out to her head and gently caressed her cheeks, wiping the tears from its face.
"Calm down little one, your safe now." I spoke to her in a gentle tone, That is when her cries turned into small sobs and whimpers. She opened her tearful eyes to look at my face, giving me a clear look at her red colored eyes, a shade almost similar to my own. I can somehow feel the child's magical potential, nearly equal to that Black-White. It was odd for a human baby to have such potential.
"You're an interesting one aren't you?" I said while gently rocking the basket she is in, as the girl made cooing noises while reaching her hands up to my face. I giggled a bit at her behavior, before sighing, "It seems little one, that your parents has perished while protecting you, perhaps from now on i shall be the one who takes care of you." The girl's hand held my fingers as i pat her head.
I grabbed my parasol and spoke to her, "Lets go home little one." The girl answered me with cooing noises.
As i flew towards my home, a thought occurred to me, i may not have the proper equipment and supplies to properly raise a child, perhaps i can purchase some from the Human Village or Kourindou, it has been quite some time since i last visited Rinnosuke-san, maybe he has something that would help me raise the girl in that store of his.
After a few more minutes of flying, i arrived at my home, it's is nothing like the mansion i once had in Mugenkan, but it's still a nice and cozy house nonetheless.
"This will be your home from now on little one." I said to the girl, "Hmm...I should name you shouldn't i? It would be a bother to keep calling you little one."
I thought for a few minutes, before finally deciding on one.
"Kazami Hanako," I decided, "What do you think of that name little one?" The girl happily giggled and clap it's hand while babbling excitedly, "You like it don't you? Very well, from now on you shall be known as Kazami Hanako, Child of Kazami Yuuka." I told it. It answered with me with a wide smile as it makes happy noises.
As my little Hanako babbled on happily i thought to myself, perhaps it wouldn't be as lonely in my garden any longer.
And gods help those that may try to hurt her.
A/N: Well what do you guys think? It's just an idea for now, but maybe this can turn into a full story one day.
I plan for Yuuka to act like a Mama Bear, which is basically kind and doting on Hanako, while still protective and sadistic to those who may threaten to hurt her.
If you would, please give me your thoughts in the review, i would love to read your opinion
That's all from me for now, thank you for taking the time to read this small idea of mine.
See you next time!
