It all began with a child born that radiated light.
After that event more individuals from all around the world began to develop strange powers. It didn't matter the age of the person at the beginning… a power would just appear or something would change with their appearance. This caused many people to panic across the world with theories being thrown around about how these strange powers had appeared.
The number one that would continue to be passed on into present day would be that it was a sickness carried from rats and everyone affected with a power ability had gotten the sickness, but this illness didn't kill except change the human body for an even worse outcome. This led to another theory created which stated that these powers would lead to a doomsday where the human body wouldn't be able to handle the powers and it will cause the human race to die out. (Only both theories were laughed off and consider to never be a possibility)
With all these people getting powers all over the world there was one person that was only rumored about in history that would end up becoming a symbol of evil that would last for many decades. He was given the name All For One because of his power-being able to take other powers and give them to others or keep them for himself. So, he helped take powers from others that wanted them gone or gave an ability to thought that wanted a power-but everyone was deceived. For he never had any good intentions and vowed to become a Demon Lord from the comic book he read when he was a child into reality.
Only there was one person that saw through All For One's plan and tried to warn others who never took them seriously. This person was All For One's younger brother, who everyone thought was born without a power-or meta ability as they were called at this point in time. Only that was a lie…it was not until All For One wanting his brother by his side gave the younger sibling a power. It was unknown as to why All For One gave his brother the Quirk, but nothing went the way the villain wanted afterwards because unknown to him his younger brother did have a Quirk-an ability to pass powers over to another person.
Eventually the younger brother of All For One had been rescued by those that wished to fight back against the ones severing All For One…and so, the first heroes and villains were created in a never ending battle and no one in recorded history realizing the conflict between the two brothers would continue to shape the future or the world of Quirks.
All For One vowed to find his younger brother Yoichi. All that is known within history is that he found his brother…but something happened in that moment that shaped and created a Quirk called; One For All. The power that became All For One's goal for the rest of his life for unknown reasons and he began to hunt down each and every person that was given the One For All Quirk in order to steal…but he failed time and time again. Always being outsmarted and as the years turned into decades All For One had to find other means to stay alive and continued on with his dream (to become the demon lord) and goal (in getting his hands on the Quirk that could defeat him).
As the years passed All For One finally found the Quirk he'd been looking for within a U.A. High School Student by the name of Yagi Toshinori, who ended up becoming a threat to All For One's plan because Yagi had a goal in life as well which was give people a symbol of hope…a light in the darkness…and have generations learn and know peace with smiles all around. This caused the two to clash many times and each time All For One lost more and more of what he had already gained over his many years of working within the underworld of Japan.
Eventually All For One grew desperate and had a child. With hope that the kid would be able to trick All Might into giving him the One For All Quirk, but this plan had not gone the way he would've thought and slowly this desperate plan faded away into the messing pages of history and away from Japan…leaving this unknown to many.
So, organized crime fell away. The criminal underworld began to fade away. And All Might the symbol of peace rose and took his place among the history books, being the most well-known hero within the whole world as All For One faded into the darkness plotting to find a way to win. While heroes rose against the villains and soon the crime wave within Japan was under control.
Much that once was is lost. For none now lives who remembers it.
And some things that should not have been forgotten were lost.

.
The story begins in the mountains of North America, the land of heroes, which the hero community had dubbed the land of freedom, a hidden building that had been carved against the rocky stone caves and made the place look like a temple. Even though it was deep within the forest and away from many wide animals, not many humans would ever travel up the paths to see what was inside.
That was the secret life being brought into the world would hardly be known to anyone.
"Ugr," the woman groaned from the pain.
"Can you do something about the pain?" the concerned voice of a male sounded within the room.
One of the few nurses and doctors within the room glanced at the male. Everyone knew Mastermind's temper and could understand his concern for the love of his life. Only the former villain had a power that could cause trouble within the birthing room.
"Calm down, Kyo," grumbled Chiyo, her pink hair might be graying but she wouldn't have someone ordering her around and telling her and the others what to do. She was the one with a medical degree. Not him.
"It hurts…it hurts," the female grumbled, teeth gritted together from the pain that was exploding within her body in heated waves.
"Can't you see she's in pain?" The male shouted.
"She's alright," Chiyo answered, annoyed.
The blonde-haired male shook his head. "But she's-"
"You're the son of All for One! Act like a villain," Chiyo chose to order. That would make Mastermind calm down and stare at her.
"I thought I told you to never-"
"That is your blood and how you were raised within this order," the woman correctly spoke to the taller and younger man.
Kyo sent the woman a glare and the way he held himself screamed 'dangerous' even to those who didn't know him well. There was an energy around him, much like his father All For One had, that screamed danger as well. "Stop reminding me," he hissed between his teeth.
"At least now your mind is focused on something else," Chiyo admits with a small sigh leaving her lips. It was rather disappointing how quickly Mastermind could change from a worried husband to a dangerous beast the moment his father was brought up.
The former villain just glared at the woman.
Chiyo turned back to the woman giving birth. "The child is almost here."
The blue haired female gave another cry as the child inside her seemed to be ready for the world. "Ugh. Ugh."
Kyo turned back toward his wife Amanda. The woman he loved was in pain from the upcoming birth of their child that was going to enter the world. He could tell by looking at his wife that the child was getting ready to come into the world. Even though sweat was running down Amanda's forehead from her pushing her body for the baby.
His blue eyes stared at the blue haired female with worry.
"Stop worrying," Chiyo shouts. "Women were made to carry and handle giving birth to children."
Kyo wanted to snap at the older woman again but chose not to. He'd been worried about the whole pregnancy since it started because he originally didn't plan to be a father and pass on All For One's blood to another living creature. But when thinking about it…he wanted to have hope for his family that they could be good and forever stay anyway from going toward the darkness and villain intentions. Plus, his wife wanted a child and he couldn't deny that from her. But the worry would forever be within his body because he didn't know what All For One might end up doing if he learned about a child being born within his bloodline once again.
Kyo let out a breath into the open air. If he was showing regret about a child, then it was already too late? He could forever have to live with his choice and bring a child of his bloodline into the world and live with whatever happens.
He heard a cry of a newborn baby that began to echo around the room.
"Huh…it has quite a part of lungs," Chiyo mumbled with a wince because of the child's cries which were hurting her old ears.
Kyo just huffed at the comment and rolled his eyes. Newborn children were supposed to be loud because that was their only way to communicate to those around them about how they were feeling, what they wanted, or if they needed something. At least…that's what he read within those parenting books.
"Karin," Chiyo said as she picked up the child within her arms and handed the newborn into the red-haired child's arms. "Clean him up."
"Of course," Karin said as she wrapped the kid within a white rag before walking to the hot towels, the water bin, and warm blankets that laid beside a table on the far side of the room. The young female went about the task…taking care of the newborn.
Kyo had gone stiff at the mention of his child's gender. His wife and he had decided to keep the child's gender a secret and would've found out when the child was born. It was a boy…because Chiyo had said; he.
"The kid is a boy…" Kyo breathed into the air.
Chiyo turned and looked at Kyo with a glare. "Of course, it is. Another boy that I'm going to have to worry about." She grumbled because she was annoyed at the idea of babysitting another member of the Shigaraki family.
Kyo turned away from her and mumbled, "A boy…. a boy…"
He didn't know what to say or do about that because a boy could still…no. He refused to let his son become anything like All For One. His son would grow up within fear about going down a dark path in life. His child will stay near the light and have a happy life without knowing anything about his bloodline and the darkness they have brought onto the world.
His child was born innocent of any crime.
"A boy…" Amanda breathed after a few minutes.
Kyo turned and looked at his wife. "Yep."
Amanda lay on the bed looking tired with exhausting dancing within her golden eyes only to look in the direction of where her child was being taken care of after his hour-long birth. She rested her head against the pillow with her blue hair still painted with sweat but she kept her head turned in her child's direction wanting to see her son.
Kyo follower her eyes to see Karin had finished washing the child in the water and wrapping the young boy into a bundle with a blue blanket before turning around holding onto the kid, that seemed to have quiet down from his cries, and she turned on her heel and began to move forward to hand the kid over to Kyo…
Only Chiyo stopped her with an order, "Mother first…father second."
Kyo turned and looked at the older lady with a glare. "What?"
"Your wife carried this child within her for nine months…nine months Kyo!" She explained and hinted at the reason behind her words by saying the same words twice. "Your son get's held by the mother first…after all the hard work."
Kyo stared at her with a groan because he couldn't argue with Chiyo because she always had a point and no one raised their voice at her and was not knocked out cold or giving a sassy comment or insult. Chiyo was always right.
"Fine," he grumbled.
Karin moved forward with the white bundle within her arms. Her emerald eyes watched the child that moved a little within her arms for a second as she walked, slightly unsure about what the child was going to do until the kid relaxed within her arms once again. She kept moving until she reached Amanda with the bundle before slowly and gently hand the child before walking to the side of the room.
Amanda looked down at the little bundle within her arms that was wrapped within a yellow blanket. Her golden eyes looked down at their child for a moment before smiling to herself.
Kyo stared at the sight for a moment before moving forward with the room and got closer and saw his child for the first time.
The boy's eyes were a color that nearly caught the former villain off guard because he had never seen eyes so ancient or beautiful before within his whole life. His son's eye color was a light blue-grey that darted around the room to look at everything as the child's young mind seemed to be wanting to see everyone around him.
"So…cute," Amanda breathed.
Kyo gave a nod in agreement.
Chiyo gave a hum at Kyo agreeing with the term cute.
If anyone had saw his expression within that moment, then Mastermind would want to hide because he'd grow soft from all the years, he's been away from All For One. He'd once been known not to find anything cute within his own life by people that knew him... but he was a father now so he could allow himself to agree that his son was cute.
Kyo turned back to look his son over. The boy had fair skin that was pale with barely any color which made him realize it looked like All For One's and Kyo's own skin tone. The young newborn child had blonde hair that was curled with small dark green spikes had started to form-which made Kyo raise his eyebrow because his kid was born with crown shaped hair which nearly made him pale…his child might have been born with a crown of darkness already on his head. Or a crown of light. The hope of his family bloodline.
"Kyo," Amanda spoke, which made him look up and realize she was staring at him with a concerned look within her eyes. "Is something wrong?" she asked because she already understood what he was feeling and thinking. It had been the same feelings and ways of thinking since he found out she was pregnant.
He let out a breath before shaking his head. "No…nothing's wrong," he lied between his teeth because they already had every conversation about his worries over the last nine months.
Amanda gave a hum before nodding and looking down at their son. "What do you want to name him?"
"Huh?" Kyo said with an eyebrow raised. This conversation sounded unreal and barely reached his highly intelligent brain.
"What do you want to name your son?" she asked again.
Kyo's ears heard it and his mind couldn't come up with a name. Not a single thought of a name because he didn't have an important name for his own kid. At least a name his child might actually like. He didn't have an answer to the question.
"Our son," he corrects.
Amanda gave a nod before humming and said, "Kaito."
"Kaito," Kyo said, not understanding where his wife came up with the name.
"For your mother…"
"You mean Akito," Kyo said in shock at his wife with his mouth dropping to the ground and staring at her. "No…we can't…"
"I want our child to be named after people that were within your life. Plus, Kaito is a Japanese name and it means water and flow. It's a good name for him."
"Especially with him already having that Force Quirk of yours," Chiyo hissed at him.
Kyo gave a nod. He'd been aware that his child's Quirk had developed when he was still in the womb. He'd felt the force flow through him and saw the kids present-his quirk and his life force. It didn't help the fact that a month before the kid was born, objects started floating around the house. Or Amanda getting sent strange emotions from the child because of the Quirk.
"Yes," he agrees. "Kaito…Ethan." The name of his deceased friend came to his mind.
"Kaito Ethan…" Amanda spoke with a nod as she looked down at the newborn baby boy. "Shiga-"
"No," Kyo said with a shake of his head. His son would not have that last name. The name Shigaraki needed to fade away within history and be forgotten. "He'll have your last name… Miyagi." That way no one would discover his connection to Kyo or All For One.
Amanda looked at her child with a smile and declared; "Kaito Ethan Miyagi…Our child…our son…our hope."
Kyo smiled and nodded in agreement.
Kaito would be his hope. His family's hope. A light that would bring forth a new era. His son wouldn't be the shadow of darkness like his grandfather or even go down the path of villainy. Kaito will only know happiness and love within his soul.
"Yes, Kaito. Our hope."

15 Years later
Everything started at a young age for Kaito, who worshiped the grounds the Pro Heroes walked on, feeling inspired by their quirks, the hero work, and the hero's accomplishment within the public eye. Just waiting for the heroes and villains to fight in the streets was cool and amazing within his young mind which led to a desire to help people. To save them the very same way he'd seen heroes save hundreds of innocent lives.
Only he learned in grade school it wouldn't be easy. His Quirk; Force. Was meant to help people but it also freaked out his classmates. Many thought it was a villain's Quirk…when Kaito could move objects with a wave of his hand or feel emotions from everyone around them. It hurt his heart feeling the rejecting emotions and works about him which made Kaito feel closed off from his classmates in America.
But he still wanted to be a hero. A hero that saves and protects people.
Only he never spoke publicly about his dream to anyone after the feeling of rejection still traveled through his blood.
This changed of course when he learned the truth about his father being a former villain. Kyo had told Kaito it would never be easy to be a hero because of the blood within the young boys' veins and he'd always be judged because of his blood and his father's past actions. Only Kaito understood and knew it would be harder to be a hero.
But when the time came to save someone…someone that he loved dearly…his mother had saved him instead and died within Kaito's arms. He could remember her dying words and those words from the villain that killed her set Kaito off…and he ended the villain in seconds with an emotional outburst by his Quirk. Then the world went dark around him and he awoke within the hospital alive…Cassia, his neighbor and childhood friend blind from the villain's attack, and Haruto, his younger brother, without a mother. And Kyo had turned into a mess and entered a depressing state.
In that moment Kaito knew failure…blood on his hands…how dangerous his Quirk actually was. So, he gave up on the idea of being a hero because he couldn't save or protect anyone that he cared about. Heroes don't fail…people don't die when a hero is around…but maybe that was a lie society always told itself.
Eventually his father moved them to Japan…in hopes of moving on and recovering from the events that changed their lives forever.
Kaito's new classmates were nice. Izuku Midoriya, was a classmate he liked and was close with. Bakugo, he disliked. But everything became normal over the years and he felt happy. Only Izuku's strange interest within heroes made Kaito question once more in his life about what he wanted to be.
A hero. Maybe…
Kaito rolled his eyes as he looked out the window of the moving car. Buildings, clouds, street signs and people continued to drift by as the sun rose high into the sky showing signs of a new day. He let out a breath and continued to stare at the outside words.
"Are you okay, Kaito?"
Kaito turned his blue-grey eyes toward his brother in the backseat of the car. His younger brother inherited their mothers' light blue hair and golden eyes, but their father's pale skin and fragile looking body with skinny arms and legs. Barely any body weight. "I'm fine Haruto." As long as his younger brother was happy and healthy-the older sibling was fine.
Haruto seemed to frown for a moment, golden eyes locking into Kaito's before looking out the window.
The older brother let out a small breath. The little boy didn't believe his words. Of course, not because even the younger brother understood that Kaito built walls around his heart and mind to keep Haruto from getting hurt.
"How's Izuku?" Haruto asked, changing the topic.
"He's been fine," the older brother answered. It wasn't rare for Haruto to ask about Izuku Midoriya because Izuku was Kaito's only actual friend at school. One of the few people the blonde-haired boy let into his life. "Writing down in his hero book new information every single day."
"I hope he lets me read it." The young boy found Izuku's notes of heroes to be amazing.
"I'm sure he would if you ask."
"When do you think dad will be back home?"
Kaito went stiff at the words unsure about how to explain to Haruto that he didn't know when their father would be back home. Their father was away on business that Kaito didn't know anything about the reason why…he could ask Karin or Jugo about what was going on with him, but he chose not to get involved within their father's business. (Well, Kyo was off trying to figure out what was going on within the criminal underworld and trying to keep peace within his territory of Japan…always keeping evil or threats that could affect Kaito or Haruto away.)
"Uh," Kaito said to his young brother as thought for an answer. "He'll be back by Friday night during movie night." If their father kept to his usual schedule, then that would be the day he returns home.
"Okay," The young boy said as he looked out the window.
Karin, a short red-haired female with green eyes and fair skin, drove the car but used the mirror to watch the two brothers with a soft look forming across her twenty-four-year-old face.
Kaito had known Karin for several years because she used to live with Chiyo, a friend of his fathers, and then move to Japan with them once Amanda died-having hope to raise Kaito and Haruto the way their mother would've wanted. Only Kaito had noticed a change within Karin's emotions lately and based on the light makeup the woman was wearing proved his theory that she was dating someone. And whoever the person was she was head over heels in love with them because he never knew Karin to wear makeup because she always considers it an irritating second piece of skin of products.
"Is something wrong Kaito?" Karin asked once she noticed his expression within the mirror.
Kaito shook his head. "Nothing. But you seem to be wearing makeup which is concerning because I thought you disliked it." He pointed out to the female as he tried to change the subject.
Karin froze with her hands gripping the wheel for a second as her green eyes seemed to stare at the street without even drifting her eyes upward to look at Kaito once again. "Well…I decided to try something different for a while," she explained with careful words not wanting him to question the makeup she wore.
"Oh," Kaito answered with a blank face.
Karin gave a nod with a slight smile. "Yeah. I want to try and be more of a female and do some adult stuff."
Kaito gave a nod and thought, Whoever Karin is dating is one lucky guy. She never wears makeup for anything. She must like him.
Only Kaito was not going to ask or dig too deep into what was going on with Karin. He had his own problems at the moment and it screamed the final year of Middle School and what kind of High School career he would want within this Superhuman Society. He already had a license to create support equipment and to develop inventions for the world-that was because his father owned a company that created things for heroes and created items of everyday living for everyone else. Kaito thought he would end up working there and being part of the design and creation for hero weapons, robots, and costumes.
But he didn't know if he wanted to anymore. At least not after Midoriya explained that he wanted to go to U.A. High School, even though Izuku was Quirkless. Kaito didn't know if his friends would even be able to get in…with all the facts saying that a hero needed a Quirk to fight villains and to be like All Might, but he wanted to support his friend.
He let out a breath and realized that they had arrived near Izuku's apartment building. It was a several stories white building with each floor being an apartment building for someone to live inside. The sun was still showing it's light colors of pink, orange, yellow, and blue as the dawn came over the area as the car pulled up outside of the buildings.
"Have a good day at school," Karin said to Kaito.
"I will," Kaito said with a smile before he turned and looked at Haruto.
"Be safe," Haruto told him with those glittery and hope filled golden eyes that were shining in the sunlight that was coming through the car window.
"I promise I'll be safe, little brother," Kaito admits to him, giving his younger brother a small hug. "Be good with you teacher and classmates…I don't want a phone call to our house about you causing trouble."
"I never cause trouble. That's you," Haruto corrected because it was true. Kaito always seemed to find trouble or get into situations he never should've been in within the first place. It didn't help the fact he once got Izuku mixed up in it.
Kaito frowned. "I know. You take after mom."
That was the one thing he loved about his younger brother the most. Haruto was like their mother-he was pure-actual light within Kaito's own soul that kept him sane. If anything happened to Haruto then Kaito might give in to his demons and Izuku, Kyo, Karin and the others wouldn't be able to pull him back from the darkness within his own heart and mind. That's why Haruto's nickname was Hart…because he was the heart of the family.
"I know," he answered with a grin.
Kaito gave a soft smile back at his brother for a moment before feeling guilt within his chest. Haruto didn't have any memories of their mother-Hart had only been a month old when their mother died-and Kaito couldn't stop it because he'd been weak and terrified and she died.
"See you later Hart," he said before grabbing his book bag and getting out of the car to stand at the sidewalk to wait for Izuku. He gave a wave of his hand after he closed the car door and watched Karin and Haruto drive off and mumbled, "Be safe."
The birds began to tweet their morning lullaby as Kaito began to walk down the sidewalk to stand near Izuku's apartment building to wait for him to get ready for school. Kaito always arrived early to walk to school with Midoriya because his friend loved seeing hero excitement early in the morning sun before the school day began.
The morning breeze blew in the air as Kaito's fair skin felt the air as it brushed past his blonde hair that was curled up to a point and dark green spiked front which featured dark green bangs. His black school uniform blew in the wind as well, even the fingerless black glove on his right hand felt the breeze as his black shoes controlled across the pavement as he traveled to the stairs of Izuku's apartment building and leaned against the wall to wait.
The wind blew as the tree leaves moved in the air as some Sakura blossoms began to fall toward the ground. Kaito's blue-grey eyes watched pink flowers move toward the land as spring could be felt within the month of May. He could feel, thanks to his Force Quirk, the environment around him was booming with life. The tree leaves were singing with life that joined their green leaves as the animal's blended perfectly within the background with their own lifeforce-life energy-coming together in one motion to bring forth peace.
"Peace," Kaito whispered as he closed his eyes to feel the energy around him.
Life. Plants growing with the soil and grass slowly moving in the breeze with the green leaves from trees. Animals moving across the ground. Birds sing their song as they fly in the wind to soar above the clouds and high up into the bright blue sky. Acorns growing on a tree quickly a Squirrel had grabbed to eat to keep the natural order of things within life.
Decay. The feeling of some planets not being able to grow into the season of spring and remaining trapped within the ground. Or planets that didn't get enough water from the spring rain showers began to groan in need of water. An old den of an animal long decayed into nothing but bones after suffering from the cold winter and becoming one with soil to give off new life.
It was a balance of all things.
Kaito was attuned to everything around. Human emotions had always been the worst (especially when he was younger) due to feeling everyone's emotions and feelings at once making him nearly be overwhelmed with emotions that hadn't been his own, feelings that he didn't understand because they had not been his, everything around just overwhelming his sense, but over the years he'd gotten use to the feeling and expect his Quirk's nature and continued to try and stay sane within Quirk Society.
Sane enough for the people that he loves.
"Kaito," a voice sounded as footsteps were heard from the stairs and heading down to the ground floor of the apartment building in a hurry.
He opened his blue-grey eyes and turned to look at the person and greeted, "Izuku."
Izuku Midoriya was a 14-year-old male with a round face framed by a short mop of fluffy dark-green hair which curls up at odd angles around his head, casting noticeably dark shadows onto itself. His eyes were large and circular with his being the same shade of green as his hair, he had four symmetrical freckles in diamond formations on each cheek. He wore a plain black gakuran uniform (the same style as Kaito's uniform) with yellow buttons, on his feet his brightly colored red high-top boots.
"Sorry to keep you waiting," Izuku said to him with a bright and shiny smile that could light up the world.
Kaito gave a nod. "Don't worry about it…I was not waiting for long."
Izuku nodded in understanding. "That's good."
"We should be going," Kaito explained to his friend who was a year younger than himself. "We can't be late for school…regardless of it being our last year in Junior High."
"Yeah," Izuku breathed, looking down for a second. "I'm still going to try out."
"Tryout?" Kaito questioned with an eyebrow raised as he began to walk down the sidewalk.
"For U.A. High School," the green haired boy stated with a grin. "Just because I'm Quirkless doesn't mean I can't try to get into the hero school." The school of his dreams.
Kaito had to prevent himself from frowning at the mention of the number one hero school in Japan. He knew Izuku was Quirkless…he didn't have any power. Within Hero Society it was stated by many heroes that to be a hero you needed a strong and powerful Quirk in order to fight villains. Only no one in history had heard of a Quirkless hero, but Kaito had seen and met a few within his lifetime. That was why he supported his friend's goal within life.
Dreams become reality when Quirks appear. It brought forth a new age which could shape the world into whatever anyone wanted, regardless of the rules within Hero Society. It brought forth the idea that dreams could become real.
Kaito had belief in Izuku's goal.
"You're right about that," Kaito admits to Izuku with a grin. "Being a hero is possible for anyone in this day and age."
Izuku smiled at the words and nodded. "Yeah…dreams can become reality."
Kaito smiled as they headed down the sidewalk and began their walk into town talking about things and how their morning has been going. The city was booming with people walking to their job, cars moving down the street, along with school students walking to school.
Everything within Japan was normal.
"Do you think we'll see any heroes today?" Izuku asked as he hopped side to side on his feet as they stopped at the sidewalk for traffic.
Kaito blinked at Izuku's question because with a new school year starting that would mean new heroes would be wandering the streets. "I think we'll at least see a new hero or two," he answered.
"And I'll add them to my Hero Analysis for the Future book."
It was a notebook Izuku created which he titled; Hero Analysis for the Future, which was a list of heroes and future heroes that Midoriya had seen over the course of his long years. There was a subtotal of thirteen books filled with Quirk details, designs of Hero Costumes, Combat Strategies, and potential Super Moves. Izuku always took careful notes and learned everything he could about heroes and Quirks.
Kaito knew for a fact he was in the book. Back when he first met Izuku he asked about what his Quirk was so he could put it in. Even though he originally didn't want to tell Izuku about his Quirk because he was worried it would creep the boy out or make him stay away from Kaito, but after seeing how their classmates treated Izuku he chose to tell him. Which had made Kaito's heart feel light at the knowledge that Midoriya expected him.
"Yeah," Kaito agreed as he remembered his little brother's request from this morning. "Haruto wants to take a look at them."
"Sure," Izuku said with a smile. "I'll gladly show your brother everything I have written down."
"Thanks. He'll be happy to hear that you'll allow it."
The two walked across the street, Midoriya looked up toward the sky and noticed a giant Villain with shark-like features that most likely had some kind of Gigantification Quirk, standing above the city and looked ready to talk and bring the city into chaos this year in the morning. His eyes beamed as he spoke, "I big Villain."
"Huh?" Kaito said as he looked up to see what his friend was seeing. He almost cursed because they might end up being late for school.
Izuku began to run off in the direction of the ongoing chaos with excitement rolling off him in waves as he went to see the battle between the villain and a hero that was on patrol within the area.
Kaito shook his head and mumbled, "When is he going to learn to stay away from the destruction and not run toward it?"
Because if the heroes lost control of the solution many innocents could die, but he knew Izuku loved watching heroes. But that feeling that Kaito always felt when danger came from villains showing up always made him fear the worst possible outcome. It made him remember his mother's death in flashes and it made him want to turn and walk the other way, but he couldn't bring himself to because his friend was heading toward the scene.
Kaito let out a breath into the morning air before following after Izuku.
The chaos had been taking place near Tatooin Station, a bullet train station that was an overpass that crosses over the street, billboards and television screens were on most of the building overhead along with ads of Heroes of this Generation-all famous and known for their heroic deeds for Society.
Kaito didn't pay any attention to the ads or the people around him as he stayed focused on finding Izuku within the crowd of people that began to gather. It was thanks to his Force Quirk he was able to find the green haired boy quickly within the large number of people.
"Izuku," he called out, shoving his way through the crowd.
Only then did Kaito notice that the giant villain had thrown something into the air which made him look up and noticed an electrical unit about to fall from the sky onto an empty part of the street. His first instinct was to use his Quirk to bring the object down to the ground gently, but he stopped from raising his hand to carry out the act.
Using a Quirk in public was not allowed within Hero Society (only those that were licensed could use Quirks). It would be frowned upon in a public setting especially during a fight between heroes and villains. The only time anyone would be allowed to use their Quirk was in self-defense situations when they are attacked.
Kaito had used his Quirk in a life and death situation before…back when his mother had died.
He flinched at the thought and froze within his step as it felt like the air was being suffocated from lungs at the thought of the event that haunted his life.
It was a rush of movement out of the corner of Kaito's eyes, saw a hero run forward and caught the electrical unit in his massive arms. He focused on the hero that arrived which helped him focus back on everything going on around him and not on the past.
The hero was called Death Arms. His Quirk was Arm Strength making him strong, but not as strong as All Might. Death Arms was tall with a wide built and slightly tanned-skin, his jaw was square and short white hair. His hero custom had a large headband and his arms wrist-guards with a yellow and black striped caution pattern. The rest of his uniform was dark blue up top and dark blue pants with brown boots.
"Oh, nice. It's Death Arms!" a male voice within the gathered crowd exclaimed.
"It's the punching hero!" another adds.
Another voice added with envy, "I wish I had a Quirk that made me super strong."
Kaito looked around and noticed that some of the police had gathered to help handle crowd control when it came to the giant villain that was in the center of the area as the heroes began to arrive on the scene.
"Everyone please, stay back," a voice of an arriving hero said as water began to drift into the air and began to form safety lines in front of the crowd, turning them into a barricade rail with 'X' shapes. "It's far too dangerous."
"Whoa, the rescue specialist, Backdraft, is here," someone said in the crowd. "He'll make sure we're okay."
Backdraft was a hero that dressed like a firefighter. His Quirk was a water base power that was labeled; Water Pump.
Kaito blinked at the sight of the hero before seeing Midoriya making his way to the edge of the crowd to watch the event about to take place. He quickly moved through the crowd of people to reach his green haired friend.
"This guy must be pretty despite going full monster in the middle of the city," a person in the gathered crowd said to another. "You know what happened?"
The male that was asked the question let out a scoff before answering, "He stole someone's bag and went out of control when he was cornered."
"A Quirk like that, and he's a bag snatcher."
Kaito frowned at the words as he began to move by the men that were talking about the situation. It was a pity, but not many knew what to do with their powers if they didn't want to be a hero within the current Society. Especially a Quirk for Gigantification…which was not in high demand.
The main Quirk many people have their eyes on was the Electric Quirks that could help run company's, towns, cities, projects, machines, and Society in a better way than the normal energy sources. The ones born with useful Quirks…especially elemental ones could help shape the current Society.
"Hey, I don't know when I can make it into work," a male voice explained to someone over the phone. "The trains out…" then he let out an irritating scoff, "Another villain."
Kaito continued to walk until he was standing beside Midoriya, trying not to pay any attention to the conversations within the gathered crowd. Some were excited, some were irritated, some were confused, and others had mixed feelings about the event.
"Izuku," he said to his friend.
Midoriya turned away from the scene for a second and said, "Kaito...sorry about running off like that, but I'm so excited."
Kaito gave a nod because he understood how much Izuku liked watching heroes as his eyes drifted to look at the chaos that was about to begin.
Suddenly a blue moved through the bright blue sky.
Then a group of fangirls that had gathered nearby began to squeal (which nearly hurt Kaito's ears) as lovely feelings began to roll off them in waves (making Kaito secretly curse his Quirk for allowing him to feel all of those emotions), as the girls screamed, "It's Kamui! We're your biggest fans!"
Kaito cursed and grumbled, "Fangirls."
The hero that had arrived on the scene was Kamui Woods, otherwise known by his birthname Shinji Nishiya, his Quirk was called Arbor, to generate or control the wood that makes up his body. He wore a mask over his face for his hero costume and wore a dark blue bodysuit with a wooden belt, wooden knee pads and shoes.
Kaito watched the hero to see what he was going to do. Only his eyes drift toward Izuku and saw his green eyes going wide with amazement and wonder. He quickly looked away and turned back to the action.
Kamui Woods made his way toward the villain, jumping away from the punch that was sent his way by the Big Villain. The Villain in question looked toward him, snarling with a booming voice, "Get away from me! I'll break you, toothpick!"
"This is going to be good," Midoriya exclaimed with a bright smile. Kamui Woods landed onto a metal beam with the help of his wooden arms. "It's Kamui Woods! He may be new, but he's making a big name for himself."
Kaito smiled and gave a nod of agreement, even though he didn't feel as excited as Izuku.
Suddenly an older man that was standing near Midoriya crossed his arms because he overheard everything, he was saying about the hero that had arrived. "Why? One look at that dopey grin and I know what you are-a fanboy."
Izuku became embarrassed at the comment and sheepishly said, "Uh, well…you can say that."
"It's nothing to be embarrassed about Midoriya," Kaito told his friend. "It's endearing to see how much you know about every single hero."
Izuku seemed to blush for a moment at the comment before turning back to look at the fight.
The Giant Villain tried to smack Kamui Woods, who avoided him, the hand landing on the train track and Woods running up his arm, using his wooden arms to wrap one of giants arms up. Using the situation to get himself in the air as Woods landed on top of a tall building, getting ready to use his special movie.
"Assault, robbery, and illegal use of powers during rush hour traffic. You are the incarnation of evil." Woods explained, putting his arm forward.
Really? Incarnation of evil? Kaito thought with a scoff. That barely made any sense considering the villain was a purse thief that got caught and could never live up to an incarnation of evil. Kamui Woods was really selling the hero and villain scene today.
Midoriya pointed a finger toward Woods' arm that was growing longer and larger with more wood. "Oh, here it comes! His special move."
Kaito gave a nod at Izuku's words.
"Come on, Tree-Man, show us something flashy!" The older male shouted.
Midoriya brought his hand into a fist as he began to announce the move; "Pre-emptive..."
"...binding..." Woods said, throwing his arm back.
"...Lacquered Chain Prison!" Both shout as the wood extends toward the Villain and into the air.
Suddenly the giant villain tried to shield himself with his arm for protection against the upcoming attack. Kaito shook his head because he already understood that the villain had lost. No one could escape Kamui Woods special move pre-emptive binding lacquered chain prison.
"Canyon Cannon!" a voice shouted into the air.
Then a large female-about as large as the giant villain woods had been fighting- dressed in a tight bodysuit made out of the colors of purple and tan, she had a similar Quirk to the giant villain's, her purple clad foot hit the villain, as her blonde hair blew through the air, taking the villain down in one kick which shocked everyone.
"Huh?" Woods said in confusion.
Kaito just blinked at the scene and shook his head. This kind of event happens sometimes within Hero Society. When another hero stepped in and handled the villain before another one could get the credit.
The female landed on the ground which made the ground shake for a moment as older men began to take pictures of the female hero.
"Today is the day of my debut as the next hottest hero!" the female hero said as she turned to look at the crowd. "Hi, everyone, my name is Mt. Lady," she introduced with a wink at the people with cameras as they continued to take pictures.
"Well…she's good at giving fan service," Kaito bluntly stated.
"Wait," Kamui Woods said in disbelief as he looked from side-to-side trying to understand the situation because he didn't seem to realize he was no longer in the heroic spotlight of the public. "She's getting the credit?"
Kaito rolled his eyes at the heroes' comment.
Due to the rise of superheroes an explosive increase of criminal activity followed. While governments were trying to reform laws with Quirks in mind, people started to do heroic acts to keep the people and their cities safe, which resulted in scenes from comic books taking place and the age of heroes starting, protecting them against people that misuse their powers for evil. With overwhelming public support heroes found their place as peacekeepers overseen by the government. Those that performed the best were paid by the government and got all of the fame and glory, which depends on how long they can stay within the spotlight.
Midoriya began to dig inside his large yellow school bag, trying to find his notebook to write down about the fight and the new hero Mt. Lady.
Kaito continued to watch the police take the villain away from the scene as people took pictures of the heroes. A new crew had arrived and began to cover the end of the event for the news as Midoriya wrote within his notebook.
"Gigantification, huh?" Midoriya mumbled as his brain began to think. "She looks like she can be popular, and it's an amazing Quirk, but thinking about the damage to the city that'll go hand in hand with that, it's use might be limited? No, but whether or not she can control the size, she could be able to damage a lot of things."
Kaito nodded at the words Izuku was explaining information and important facts about Mt. Lady that had joined the hero ranks. He was always good at understanding someone's powers and where they would be the most useful and the worst possible thing that could happen. That was why Kaito considered Izuku's Hero Analysis book interesting.
"What's that Fanboy?" an older man asked.
Kaito turned and looked at him for a second and realized he was talking to Izuku.
"Are you taking notes over there? Wanna be a hero, too?" the older man asked the green haired boy as he gave him a thumbs up.
Those words being spoken reached the teens ears and caught his attention, Midoriya turned and gave the male a gleeful smile. "Yes, more than anything."
Kaito gave a hum at the words because he knew that was what Izuku would always want within the world. No matter what anyone told him. Midoriya was someone that wanted to break the status quo within Hero Society and become a Quirkless hero and save people like All Might, the symbol of peace.
That was a dream Kaito could never have because he already understood that his place within Hero Society had already been created the moment he was born. Forever marked by his father's former deeds within life that had been marked as villainy by Hero Society. Which would make it impossible for anyone to see Kaito as a hero.
No one would trust someone with villain blood within their veins to save lives. To hold up the law and order of the current world. To help others that needed someone to give out a helping hand when it was needed.
It was all impossible.
Kaito had accepted that a long time ago, but it hurt within his heart every time he heard the words of Izuku and his classmates talking about becoming heroes. For it was every child's dream ever since All Might appeared.
But it could never be his.
Kaito, no longer wanting to think about heroes anymore, took out his cell phone and noticed the time, his eyes widened before he shouted, "We're going to be late for class!"
Izuku quickly turned to look at Kaito and saw the time and mumbled, "Oh…no."
"We need to go…now!"
The two boys took off down the street as they headed in the direction of the school building to begin their normal lives in Junior High School. Continuing to find their place within Hero Society. Only neither boy had known at the time who they would end up meeting by the end of the day which could pull the two into a whirlwind that would be their destiny.

First chapter is finally complete.
This has been My Hero Academia idea that's been trapped within my mind for several years. It came fully came into being when watching Rise of Skywalker and being like if Palpatine can have a granddaughter, then maybe All For One could have a grandson and a son. (That's how Kaito and Kyo were created and the story continued to be created from there.)
Kaito is one of my most interesting characters I have created in a long time. He has the powers of two of my favorite fandoms; Star Wars and Naruto. His Quirk is Force-Sharingan. (His younger brother will have the same power later one-but since Haruto's Sharingan has not awakened yet…it's just Force for now.)
Kyo or Mastermind, whichever name you want to call him, his Quirk is Force. He's based off of Shanks from One Piece and Sasuke from Naruto. As for his backstory and what happened when he was younger before he left Japan to go to America would be explained later. He's an interesting character to say the least.
Karin is important to this story. She's a healer with a quirk that allows her to transform energy from herself to someone else. (She uses support weapons that are similar to Nami's weapon in One Piece) As for what is going on with her character will be explained later…I even have a stand-alone story planned for her as well.
Kaito and Izuku's friendship is an important part of the story. Mainly because unknown to Izuku he did save Kaito the moment the two became friends. Basically, showing Kaito that his Quirk was a good thing and not a curse.
Most of the past events which led to Amanda dying and how Kaito first met Izuku and Bakugo will be explained within the fic in flashbacks that will appear at the beginning of chapters. (But the events within the timeline will be out of order…I did originally think to do all of the past scenes within the first chapter but that was too much for the plot and it would've spoiled a lot of things that happen in the future. So, the flashbacks will appear when they are necessary to explain and expanded on what is happening.)
And, yes, Kaito is a year older than everyone within Class 1-A.
That's because back when Kaito's mom died he was in the hospital for a few months and then the move from America to Japan held him back within school. Regardless of his intelligent mind. (That's why 15 years later is marked up above for the timeline and that is also why Kaito says Izuku is a year younger than him.)
The fics title Lifeline is based off the song Lifeline by Thousand Foot Krutch. (Which is basically a good song that describes Kaito's storyline in this fic pretty well.)
