With the truck now in a dangerous place, the group has to find a way out of the sewers and out of the territory of the creatures. But this little detour may not only lead to even more dangerous encounters, but it will also lead to a revelation that changes the course of the group's fate, and how they will approach the dangers that threaten them, the city, the country of Canada, or even the world.
Aztec 13: I'm glad you enjoy the tone shift. It was something I wasn't sure of. And for Heather, her arc has only just begun. As for Gwen, it will be too early for her to become a battle hardened leader. But with the way I planned the story, she'll only grow from there. Also, I've been releasing the Multiversal SBR revamp for a while now.
30 Minutes Earlier…
The scene cuts to a part of the highway that goes above most of the metropolitan areas of the city, just north of the CN Tower. With the strange police operation that happened before the siege of the roots, the highway was very packed, even worse than rush hour in a city like this.
Bowie was getting frustrated with the way the ride to the reunion was going on. He and his companions from the show's reboot were stuck in his pickup truck for an entire two hours, and they have only moved for a measly half a kilometer since they've gotten on the highway.
"Has anyone seen the news about this? I've never seen this place be so congested with traffic." Bowie asked as he checked how far the traffic was from the source.
Suddenly, a group of police cars drove under the highway, beginning to mobilize throughout the area.
"I'm not sure. Something like this means something might be going wrong, right?" Raj says, sitting in the passenger seat next to Bowie. "Any of you want to check out what's happening up front?" He turns to the passengers in the back.
"You mean go out and walk? On the highway?" Wayne asked.
"That, or we can just check the internet." Priya raised an eyebrow at this question. "Got something, Millie?"
"Already on it." Millie says as she scrolls through her phone. "Huh. That's weird."
"What is it?" Wayne took notice of this reaction.
"Mass disappearances in the area. Mostly those who work the sewers or the water treatment plant." Millie stated as she tried to make sense of the situation.
"That might be what's causing the police to spread out. But what about this traffic?" Priya stated.
"Yeah, I'm not waiting any longer. I'll check what's going on up front." Bowie opens the door as he gets out of the car.
"Yeah. I'm not sure about that." Priya stated.
"Is this really a good idea, Bowie?" Raj was worried about this situation.
"Just as long as we know what's going on, this wait may be slightly less painful. Just hold on, this might take a while." Bowie stated. "Oh, and if the traffic begins to move while I'm out, Raj will be the one to drive."
"Alright." Priya agrees.
"Wait. Guys. What's happening to the CN Tower?" Wayne pointed something out.
The group of five turned to the CN Tower as it began to glow with energy. The situation begins to feel unnerving as this mysterious phenomenon begins to raise some questions among the group.
"Is something happening?" Millie asked.
"Wait." Bowie approached the side of the highway. "Guys, the CN Tower is becoming the least of our worries right now." He gasps as he sees something in the distance.
"What? What is it?" Raj opens the door.
"Raj, stay in the car. Something's coming this way!" Bowie yelled out.
The group then saw what was going on from the pickup. Dust clouds and sounds of destruction were coming their way as they saw the strange roots plowing their way through the city.
"W-What is…" Wayne gasped in fear.
"Everyone stay in the car! Duck for cover!" Bowie yells as he gets in the car.
Everyone complied with this as they braced for impact. Suddenly, as the roots smash their way through the highway, once of the foundations broke, and parts of the highway break and begin to fall.
"Whoa!" Millie yelled as the pickup began to shake.
"Is the highway falling?!" Raj exclaimed.
The pickup slides down and smashes into the barrier, breaking some of the windows on impact. As the group began to recover, they noticed a sinkhole giving way underneath them, opening even more as the debris began to smash outside or go into it.
"Oh no!" Bowie yelled out.
"Hold on to something!" Priya yelled.
The barrier gives way, and the group screams in fear as the pickup falls off and falls into the hole. Everyone held onto each other for dear life as they hoped to survive this fall.
Arc 1 Chapter 5: Lost
"Ngghh…" Gwen begins to wake up in a daze. "What happened…?
Gwen weakly begins to stand up as she tries to see through the darkness around her. The force of the fall might have broken the electrical systems, causing the lights in the truck to go out.
"Hello?" Gwen called out.
"There's a… flashlight to your side…" Carrie's voice called out near her. "Please turn it on…"
Gwen quickly reached out to her side, trying to find something in the dark. As she reaches for some of the compartments near her, she manages to grab a flashlight.
"Ah, got it." Gwen quickly found the switch and turned it on.
As Gwen searched around with the flashlight, she quickly noticed that the truck had fallen to the side. Everyone was seen knocked out on the walls of the truck, and Carrie was seen to be too weak to get up at the moment.
"Are you okay? That was quite a fall." Gwen asked.
"I'm… I'm good…" Carrie says. "I'm just a little banged up."
"What even happened? There was something outside that seemed like it was talking to the agents." Gwen was confused about what had transpired.
"I don't know either. I feel like they might've encountered it before from the way they were talking to it." Carrie was also clueless on the matter.
"Well, I guess we have to get out of here. This place is not really helping with my claustrophobia." Gwen says.
"Um…" Carrie nervously says as the two turn to the back door.
It seemed that the back of the truck was directly in front of a sewer wall. Even if they managed to break the door open, the wall wouldn't give them a chance to get out.
"Of course. This really has to be as stressful as it is, doesn't it?" Gwen exclaimed as she began to hyperventilate. "Not going to panic… not going to panic…"
"Control your breathing. Maybe that can help you with your claustrophobia." Carrie suggested as she weakly stood up.
"I'm… trying…" Gwen says between breaths.
"Hey. Maybe we can wake up Agent Green." Carrie suggests.
"Anything that can get us out of this faster." Gwen sighed.
The two move to where the back of the truck opens to the driver's seat. Carrie opens the partition and sees Kate and Ryan unconscious, but still alive and strapped with their seatbelts.
"Good. They're still alive." Carrie sighs with relief. "Agent Taylor. Agent Green. Wake up."
Slowly but surely, the two agents begin to wake up, quickly noticing the situation they're in. Ryan begins to stretch his shoulders as he wakes up, before getting back to business.
"Carrie. Is everyone okay?" Ryan asked.
"Yeah. We're good." Carrie replied. "But a wall seems to be blocking the back of the truck. I don't think we can get out that way."
"That may be a problem." Kate says as she unbuckles herself from her seat. "Stay still. There might be something that can get you guys out."
"Can you hurry? I don't want to spend another minute trapped here…" Gwen slowly began to panic from this.
"Just hang on, Gwen. Is there a knife in one of the storage kits there?" Ryan reassures before giving instructions.
Gwen turns to a storage compartment below her and quickly reaches into it. She grabs a small army knife, wondering what she needs it for.
"Have you found it?" Ryan asked as he unbuckled himself.
"Yeah, I have it here." Gwen replied.
"Use it as a screwdriver. You can open this part up if you unscrew the plating from the wall. The screws around this partition. Do you see it?" Ryan instructs his niece.
"Yeah. Though I think it might take a while." Gwen stated. "Carrie, can you help me here?"
"Okay." Carrie says as she reaches for another knife.
"We'll just get out of the truck first. We might be swarmed by these things if we aren't careful.: Kate says.
"Okay. Be safe, please." Gwen says.
The two agents then climb out of the door that isn't facing the ground. As they manage to get out of the truck, Kate uses a flashlight on her PDA to scan around the surrounding sewers. Aside from the nauseous smell associated with such a place, there doesn't seem to be any signs of creatures in the area.
"How do our missions always lead down a sewer of sorts?" Kate commented. "At least the outfit I wore back in Scarecrow Manor is still at home."
"You've always had a knack for dressing well before a mission. Just be glad that wasn't the case now." Ryan stated.
"I'll be honest, I was aching to grab a couple dresses before we left. But when I heard about the wastewater personnel disappearances, I decided against it." Kate stated.
The two agents looked up at the sinkhole the truck had fallen through. It was still daytime, but that wasn't the concern they had at the moment.
"Sooner or later, those things might come falling down. And we have a whole truck of people to look after." Kate sighed. "I'll keep an eye out on the sinkhole. You help the others get out."
"On it." Ryan complied.
Ryan sticks his head through the door of the truck, and just as he did, Gwen and Carrie manage to unscrew the partition, giving them a way out of the truck.
"Finally!" Gwen exclaimed with relief.
Gwen quickly crawls out of the newly opened partition and quickly takes a deep breath as she sticks her head out of the truck. But unfortunately for her, she forgot to take account for the sewers around the truck and took a huge amount of nauseous fumes.
"Oh! Should not have done that." Gwen groaned from the smell.
"Are you okay?" Ryan asked.
"Yeah, nothing broken. Yet." Gwen says.
"Come on, Let's wake the others up." Carrie called out.
"I'll be there in a while. Just gotta calm down a bit." Gwen says as she takes some breaths.
"I'll help instead. You stay up here and calm down. I know you don't do well in confined spaces." Ryan volunteered.
"Okay. Thanks." Gwen smiled at this.
Ryan climbs back into the truck and heads through the opening to the back. Once he meets with Carrie there, those that were unconscious were seen beginning to wake up from the wild fall.
"Man… what happened back there?" Geoff woke up while rubbing his head.
"Did… did we die?" Beth groaned.
"No… we're still in the truck." Carrie replies to the question.
"Then… what was that anyway…?" Courtney asked, being too injured to get up. "Don't tell me… we drove into a hole or something…"
"The road collapsed underneath us. Something was specifically going for Kate and I." Ryan explained.
"Mind telling us what that's about? Why would something like this specifically attack AMS Agents like you?" Duncan asked.
"There is no time for that. Right now, we're in the sewers, and we have to find a way out of here before-" Ryan was then interrupted.
Suddenly, the entire area began to shake, causing panic to the group inside the truck.
"Whoa! What's going on?! Bridgette panicked.
Outside of the truck, Gwen and Kate felt the rumbling around them, shaking their part of the sewer.
"What's going on now?!" Gwen asked in a panic.
"Something's coming. Gwen, you need to help get the others out." Kate says as she takes out her PDW in defense.
"No questions needed!" Gwen exclaimed.
But just as Gwen climbed up the truck to help, something burst through the sewer wall next to the truck. She braces for cover as the debris comes her way.
"Hggk!" Gwen yelped as she got hit off the truck by the incoming debris.
"Gwen!" Kate yelled as she turned her attention to the destroyed wall.
From the wall emerged a large arm that reached through the tunnel, with the creature being too large to fit into the tunnel. The arm tries to move around, looking for something to grab.
"Wha… what is that?!" Gwen exclaimed in fear.
"Well, an old annoyance, that's for sure." Kate stated as she aimed at the creature. "Are you okay.
"Y-Yeah… Still standing." Gwen groaned slightly as she got up.
"Good. Now you have to warn the others. It's too dangerous." Kate stated with determination.
"Alright… ugh." Gwen winced from the pain.
As Kate begins to ward off the giant arm from the truck, Gwen slowly climbs up the truck due to the injuries she has sustained.
"Guys. Did you hear what's going on?!" Gwen called out to the back of the truck.
"Yeah! And we felt it too!" Geoff called out.
"You guys have to get out of there, and fast!" Gwen yelled out.
"You heard her. We have to move." Ryan hurried up the others.
While this needed no explanation and the group began to pile out of the truck, Courtney was seen struggling to get up due to her injuries.
"Guys… help." Courtney groaned.
"Court! I need someone to help me here!" Bridgette came to her rescue.
"Come on. We can't be slowing down at a time like this." Duncan went and threw her arms over his shoulders.
"Thanks." Courtney says.
Ryan helped the other survivors out of the truck as they try to get away from the creature coming after them.
"What in the world is that?!" MacArthur exclaimed.
The large arm tries to swipe Kate away, but luckily, she manages to dodge before it can.
"Whatever it is, it's something not to be underestimated." Ryan says as he loads his shotgun with a couple rounds. "Get the others out, now."
As Ryan joined Kate in warding off the creature's arm, Duncan climbed out of the truck while assisting Bridgette and Courtney.
"Can you climb?" Duncan asked.
"Yeah… I just need some help." Courtney groaned.
Gwen climbs up to help Duncan, and the two help Courtney out of the truck.
"Come on. We have to go down." Gwen says. "Just be careful, alright?"
"I'll try what I can." Courtney groaned.
Suddenly, Kate flies past them and lands on the wet floor of the sewers, seemingly taking a hit from the arm.
"Agh!" Kate exclaimed.
"What the-" Heather jumped at this.
"Kate! What happened?!" Gwen asked.
"Get away!" Kate yelled out.
Gwen turns around upon hearing this and sees the massive arm coming their way. Ryan tried to ward it off with his shotgun, but it was very persistent.
"Jump!" Gwen yelled out.
The four of them jump out of the truck as the arm grabs the vehicle. The truck is then lifted up and is dragged back towards the hole. Just as it passes through the hole, the hand then crashes the truck like a tin can, before disappearing out of sight.
"Whoa… well that was fucking horrifying." Duncan exclaimed. "We're lucky we managed to wake up earlier.
"Yeah. That was close." Sanders panted.
Feeling the danger has already passed, the group then looked around the sewers anxiously, looking for a way out.
"So, where to now?" Beth asked.
"I… I don't know." Gwen nervously stated.
"We should definitely find a way out. These fuckers came out of the sewers, for goodness' sake." MacArthur stated. "Besides, that large creature that tried to attack us is still at large. Sooner or later, it'll realize it took nobody and will go back on the hunt for blood."
"I agree on that last part. Who knows when it'll come back?" Bridgette added.
"I don't know about that, but I do know we shouldn't stay here just in case it does." Kate says as she takes out her PDA.
Kate begins to use her PDA to scan the nearby tunnels for a way out. Eventually, the device points to a specific direction away from there.
"Over here. This way." Kate called the others towards her. "Follow me."
Without much of a choice, the group begins to follow Kate as they walk through the sewer tunnels. As Kate takes front and center as she leads the way, Ryan moves to the back just in case something might tail them from behind.
While the group moves through the tunnels warily, Gwen decides to start questioning. She moves to the back of the group where Ryan was defending.
"Hey. Uncle Ryan?" Gwen spoke softly so as to not catch anyone's attention.
"Yes? You having trouble with your claustrophobia again?" Ryan asked.
"I'm still pretty nervous, but that isn't what this was about." Gwen stated.
"Oh? What is it?" Ryan asked.
"Um… how are you involved in this?" Gwen asked. "Why are you here with the AMS?"
"Because it's my job. Is that really that hard of a question?" Ryan was baffled by this.
"Yes. It is." Gwen was insistent on questioning. "From what my friend told me, the AMS was assigned missions in Italy. Where Dad died."
Hearing the mention of his brother brought up, Ryan looked at her with confusion, slightly gulping at what she's going at.
"Yes. James, my brother. One of those who died during the attack in Italy." Ryan stated. "What are you getting at?"
"There was a similar report of a terrorist attack that occurred three years prior. The year 2000. Both times, the AMS operated outside American soil to stop it." Gwen explains. "Now this attack has ravaged the city of Toronto, and who was first to the rescue?"
"Gwen. I know you're confused." Ryan sighed. "That's right. The AMS has taken out terrorist threats that shouldn't even be America's concern. But what assumptions do you have in mind?"
By now, the two's conversation had caught the attention of the rest, as they were being held up at the back.
"Hey. What's the holdup?" Geoff asked.
"Wait. I don't think it's a good idea to stop them yet." Bridgette stopped the others from interrupting.
"Why not?" Alejandro asked.
"I find it weird that the AMS is even slightly knowledgeable about this." Gwen stated. "If… if the theory I have in mind is even somewhat true… then…"
"Then what?" Ryan asked.
"Then what have you, Kate, or even Dad for that matter… what have you been dealing with as an AMS agent?" Gwen asked.
Ryan mellowed up at this question. Knowing the situation they're in, he knows that Gwen wants answers to this. About the AMS, the attack they're currently in the middle of, and even the circumstances of her father's death. Feeling he can't hide the truth anymore, he decides to reveal what he knows.
"Gwen… look, I-" Ryan was then interrupted.
"Guys! Look! Up ahead!" Carrie called out the others.
Hearing this, the group looked ahead of the tunnel and noticed what Carrie had seen. It was a vehicle, a car, more specifically, seemingly landed inside the sewers from a sinkhole similar to how they got there.
"Oh shit." Heather gasped.
"Come on. We have to see if they're alive." Kate told the others before jogging to the sight.
"I'll tell you later. And maybe I can talk to you about your father once this is all over." Ryan stated.
"Alright." Gwen smiled.
But as the group approached the fallen car in the sewers, their expressions grew more and more surprised as they recognized who was inside the pickup truck.
"Holy… is that who I think it is?!" Duncan exclaimed.
Moving closer, their suspicions were proved. It was five of those who had competed in the newly rebooted season of Total Drama. Priya, Millie, Bowie, Raj and Wayne, all of whom were currently unconscious and injured due to their fall.
"These were the guys from the reboot! What are they doing here?!" Courtney exclaimed.
"They were probably hit by the roots on their way here. I wonder where the rest of them are." Sanders stated.
"We need to worry about them first. Who knows how much damage they've taken?" Carrie stated.
Duncan moved to the truck and inspected the damage. While the five of them were currently bruised, the airbags of the truck have gone off and have since been deflated.
"Don't worry. The airbags had gone off. We could only be seeing some minor bruises and sprains." Duncan stated.
"Come on. We have to wake them up." Gwen stated.
But just as Gwen says this, faint but noticeable footsteps were heard nearby. As the group realizes this, Kate shines her PDA's flashlight into the direction of the sound. Sure enough, a large horde of creatures were slowly coming their way.
"Oh no!" Tyler exclaimed. "They're coming this way!"
"Get them out of the truck! We'll ward them off!" Kate yelled.
As the two agents took fire at the incoming horde, Gwen and Duncan quickly opened the doors of the pickup truck and began shaking the unconscious passengers inside.
"Guys! Come on! We have to get out of here!" Gwen yelled out.
"Sorry to interrupt your nap, but we've got fucking zombies coming our way!" Duncan yelled.
With their attempts at waking them up, as well as the loud gunfire coming from the agents, the unconscious group began to wake up.
"Nghh… stop shaking me…" Priya groaned. "Huh…?"
"Um… where are we?" Raj asked.
"Come on. Now's not the time for questions. Priya, right?" Duncan asked.
"Um… yeah. You're Duncan, right?" Priya asked. "Wait, where even are we?"
"I remember falling off the highway… large roots crashing through everything…" Millie groaned.
"The large roots that have ravaged the city? Yeah, that's it." Gwen stated. "Come on, we have to get out of here."
As Gwen gets Raj out of the pickup truck, a clawed creature was seen running on the walls as it passed the agents in favor of the defenseless survivors.
"Ryan. Something at the back." Kate stated.
"On it!" Ryan turned around with his shotgun.
With a single blast of a shotgun, Ryan manages to shoot the creature and kill it as it jumps off the wall. The corpse then lands next to Raj, much to his surprise.
"Whoa!" Raj jumped at the sight.
"Was… was that a zombie?!" Wayne exclaimed with worry.
"Yes- I mean no- Ugh…" Gwen stuttered as she tried to find a way to put it lightly. "It's complicated.
"Now stop with the questions, and get your asses out of the truck!" Duncan issued them out.
As the horde drew closer and closer, the agents were starting to contemplate evacuating the area, until someone unexpected was seen walking behind them.
"Well, ain't nothing like the real thing, aren't they? Step aside, I'll handle them."
"What the?!" Heather gasped upon seeing this.
"No way! Is that…?!" Geoff was in awe of who was there.
The agents turn around, only to see something that makes them step out of the way. Sounds of machine revving were heard, and quick and numerous gunshots were fired at the swarm.
The group covered their ears at this, and the gunfire plowed through the horde and reduced them to nothing but dust. Once the horde was cleared, and the gunfire had stopped, they saw who came to their rescue.
"Aw man. Why'd this thing overheat?" Izzy exclaimed while carrying an overheated minigun in her hands.
"I-Izzy?!" Bridgette gasped at this.
"Hey guys. Seems you guys managed to get out of the hotel. But I'll admit being in the sewers seems like a terrible survival strategy at a time like this." Izzy smiled at the group.
"And what are you doing here? Where have you been since this began?" Duncan asked.
"Been out and about, finding gum under desks and getting this sweet minigun someone dropped when this whole thing happened." Izzy explained.
"Where did you even get that thing?" Heather asked.
"Somewhere down south. I've been walking around the sewers looking for something to use it on." Izzy explained.
"Well. At least we managed to find you. Who knows how the others are doing?" Gwen asked.
"Yeah. Where are the others?" Izzy looked around for more of their companions.
"We… got separated. And now we're just finding a way out." Gwen stated.
Suddenly, more footsteps were heard as another horde was nearing their location. The group looked on in fear as the horde was getting closer.
"Um… Izzy? Can you use that thing on them like you did the other horde?" Duncan asked.
"Do I look like the Iceman? This thing's overheated, out of commission. Nada." Izzy stated.
"Then you guys better get to somewhere safe. There's a worker station just left of that tunnel. You can take shelter there." Ryan says as he and Kate get their weapons out.
"Go! We'll meet you there!" Kate yelled.
"Come on, go! Go!" Gwen hurried the group up.
The group began to follow the tunnels as per Kate's instructions. The two agents began to fire at the incoming horde, buying time for the survivors to escape.
"Come on, move!" Gwen lead the group through the sewers.
"What's going on here? Why is this happening?" Bowie asked.
"We don't know. But we have to get out of here." Gwen stated.
The group turns a corner and sees the station Kate was talking about. They then bolt to it seeing no danger nearby.
"Come on!" Beth yelled out.
Gwen opens the door and waits for everybody to get inside. After a while, everyone heads inside the station and into safety.
"Well. Let's hope Kate and Uncle Ryan manage to get here, especially before-" Gwen then stopped at the sound of scraping.
Gwen turners to see a single creature walking towards her. This one had a lumbering build, towering over her as it drew closer and closer.
"Oh yeah? Want a taste of-"
The creature then took a swing at Gwen, causing her to fly into the room and crash into a couple tables.
"What the?!" Alejandro exclaimed.
"Gwen!" Tyler exclaimed.
The creature made its way into the room, and the group moved back as its size and build intimidated them.
"Al. Think this is a good time to help with the fight?" Duncan asked as he took out his switchblade.
"I would've preferred that you do not call me that. But alas, not much of a choice." Alejandro took up a fighting stace.
"Let's go!" Duncan yelled out.
Meanwhile as the two began to fight the big creature, Gwen was knocked out by her encounter with the creature. But she bumps into one of the desks in the room, and a tube with a strange liquid was knocked over.
The liquid spills over the desk, and soon begins to drip off the table. Eventually, the drops make it over to Gwen, seeping through the cotton that covered her wounded eye and later, into her bloodstream.
A Couple Minutes Later…
Kate and Ryan finally arrive at the station to find a surprising sight. Duncan and Alejandro had just defeated the hulking creature whose corpse began to disintegrate into dust, while Bridgette and Carrie tended to an unconscious Gwen.
"Oh no… what happened here?" Ryan asked.
"As you can see, this fucker just went here and sucker punched the daylight out of your niece." Duncan says. "These things are tough, I'll tell you that."
"Don't worry. She's fine." Carrie says before Gwen began to wake up. "Oh, nevermind. She's awake."
"Gwen? Are you okay?" Ryan approached Gwen with a concerned expression.
Gwen slowly got up and clutched her head in confusion. The group looked worriedly at this, as she hasn't given a response yet. Her eyes were slowly emitting a faint glow, almost like she's seeing something else in her eyes.
"Gwen? Can you talk?" Ryan asked.
"September 21st… 2003…" Gwen muttered.
"What?" Ryan was confused about what he was hearing.
Gwen slowly stood up as she supported herself on a nearby desk, still clutching her head in pain.
"Two… two dates… two coordinated attacks…" Gwen slowly muttered. "September 21st, 2003… and February 26th 2000…"
"Gwen? Are you okay?" Beth asked.
"What's happening to her?" Priya asked.
"Hey! What are you muttering about?" Duncan asked.
"...cycle of life and death… human extinction…" Gwen muttered as her voice turned more and more horrified. "It all began with… Doctor Curien… December 20th… 1998…"
Gwen then falls to the floor, collapsing the desk with her. The group jumped at this as Ryan went to her aid.
"Are you okay, Gwen? Come on, what are you saying?" Ryan asked.
"How… she knows?" Kate gasped at what she was hearing.
"What are you talking about? Ryan asked.
"Those dates she mentioned. Those were recorded infestation outbreaks." Kate stated. "She also mentioned Dr. Curien of all people. She knows about this?"
"Why are you asking me about that? I never told her anything about that before." Ryan exclaimed defensively.
"Uncle Ryan?" Gwen called out.
"Yes?" Ryan replied.
Gwen was still struggling mentally, clutching her head like new information was being drilled into her skull. She looks at Ryan worriedly, and for a split second, Ryan could see her eyes glowing slightly.
"What was… the 1998 Curien Case?" Gwen asked with fear in her eyes.
Arc 1: Complete!
Now you might be wondering what I mean by the first arc finishing. If you've paid any attention to the way I've titled the chapters in this story, you'd know that the first five chapters make up the first arc. Yes, I'm doing this story in arcs, like story seasons. And yes, i'll probably ake long in starting the next arc. But with this, stay tuned!
