Welcome back, everyone! I hope you enjoyed the last chapters! Let's get right into the next one!

Guest: Glad you like it. Yeah, I didn't want to go with the usual 'losing his leg,' I thought his appearance would be more intimidating with both feet. Hiccup won't be playing nice to anyone except Toothless. I will guarantee you that there will be more humiliation for them. (Especially to Snotlout's ego.)

Chapter 11

Chief Stoick was walking through the streets of Berk, assessing the damage from the last raid. A lot of houses were burned down or damaged. The most troubling thing about last night's attack was something no one could have imagined. This Dragonrider, or as some people called him, Dragonmaster. Other people said he is the Death Angel and will bring doom to Berk. Reaching the market, he saw the teens sitting on a few barrels. Astrid's leg was bandaged, and she was told she had a few bruised ribs. Snotlout had a cracked jaw and was silent since talking hurt too much with his injury. Wondering what happened, the chief strolled over to them.

"What happened to you? There were almost no fights because of that damned dragon rider," he asked concernedly.

Astrid was the first to speak, "You see, chief, we did fight, but not a dragon. We followed a dragon that crashed on the docks and tried to finish it." Not wanting to relive the moment she got beaten in seconds, she motioned for Fishlegs to continue.

"When we got there, we saw a dragon, unlike anything we've seen before. It was black as night and rather small, but from the looks of it, I would say it was very agile. I guess it was a Nightfury!" the husky boy replied excitedly. Everyone knew that if Fishlegs found something new about dragons, he would get excited like a child on Snoggletog.

The chief glared at the boy, making him stop dead in his tracks before he got too excited. Fishlegs cleared his throat and continued, "T-The next thing we saw was this guy standing behind this beast without a care in the world. We tried to make him stay safe, but when he turned around..." he shuddered as he remembered how this guy looked, "He wore some leather armor, but the creepiest thing about him was the mask. The mask and armor were completely black and made him almost disappear into the night if not for the fires. We couldn't even see his eyes! They were just small slits showing nothing but darkness."

By now, Stoick was listening intently, and even a few villagers gathered around, wanting to hear the story. Many of the surrounding Vikings shivered at the description of the masked man. Stoick motioned for the teens to continue. As Fishlegs was about to speak, Tuffnut interrupted him.

"You should have seen it! When he stepped forward, he took his weapons, and they were also black! They looked awesome! Our dear Snottypants over here tried to show off, only to get his ass kicked in seconds! Man, that was awesome!" While the twins were laughing, everyone else just stared at them. Snotlout tried to speak up since he wasn't happy they were telling them about his defeat, but it only made him cry again in pain.

Ruffnut spoke, still laughing slightly from before, "Yes, and then Astrid wanted to charge in, too! She, too, got beaten in seconds again! You guys should have seen it. It was AWESOME!" she yelled and punched his brother in the shoulder making him fall to the floor. This turned into one of the twin's usual fights.

Everyone ignored the rolling twins and focused on their chief. They all waited for advice. Stoick, seeing everyone looking at him, addressed the crowd, "Alright, people! Right now, I want you to rebuild and restock our resources! While there is a rider out there, there is no guarantee that he will be back! So, let's focus on our main problem: the dragons! When everything is repaired, we will go for another hunt!"

Not wanting to argue, they all left to do what they were told. Stoick walked to Gobber and beckoned him to follow him. Reaching the Haddock home, they both went inside and closed the door. Sitting down, the chief began, "Gobber, I know I'm asking a lot from you, but I need you to make as many weapons as possible. Also, I want you to make heavier armor. Preferably in the next two weeks."

The blacksmith looked at him before he replied, "Stoick, you know it will take me more than two weeks to do that. Have you forgotten that I don't have an apprentice anymore? When Hiccup was here, he made almost twice the amount of work I've done. Either you give me more time or find me a new apprentice."

Stoick sighed and put his head into his palms, "I know, Gobber, but what was I supposed to do with him? He was a walking disaster! I'll find you your apprentice; for now, you should get to work."

Not replying, Gobber stood up and left the house, leaving Stoick behind.

(Death's Lair)

When Hiccup and Toothless returned to their home, followed by the horde of dragons, the other dragons knew they somehow won. While the dragons from the nest settled in, the rider and dragon flew into their cave. When Toothless landed, Hiccup unstrapped himself and pulled off his helmet.

Looking at his companion, he smirked, "With all these dragons, we can start our next phase of the plan. We need to build defenses so that should people come here, we can defend ourselves better. Also, we need to prepare for winter, brother."

The dragon smiled, "I agree. I could survive the winter without preparations, but your skinny butt won't."

Hiccup's smirk vanished as he grumbled, "Yeah, I know, bud. Didn't need that reminder." before walking toward his bedroom.

Toothless immediately realized his mistake and went after the boy, 'How could I be so stupid?! Of course, that would remind him of his past!'Reaching the bedroom, he saw Hiccup sitting on his bed, looking down. "Hiccup... I-I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that."

When he didn't react, Toothless said, "Look, what I meant was that your body is thinner and more vulnerable to the cold."

Hiccup sighed, looking at the dragon, "I know, bud. It's just that when you said that, I remembered times when I got beaten up and shunned while being called skinny or bony. The next time I see them, I will be able to beat them. Nonetheless, the past still hurts. I admit that it will take time, but I'll heal."When he finished, he gave a sad smile.

Now, with both being exhausted, they decided to go to sleep. They will need their energy once winter arrives.

(Months later)

More than a year ago, Hiccup and Toothless defeated the Red Death. They spent their time preparing for winter and building defenses. They couldn't do anything during winter since the wind and the cold kept them locked in their cave. While Toothless was mainly sleeping, Hiccup was working in his forge. He upgraded his armor by putting a smaller version of the crossbow on top of his right forearm. It activates by pulling on a small ring attached to a string hidden underneath his forearm so he can control it with one hand. Underneath his left arm was a hidden blade that would spring out when flicking his wrist up and close when he flicked it down.

He also upgraded Toothless's tailfin by making a lever that could switch it from manual control to automatic control. First, he wanted to make only an automated one, but Toothless destroyed it and demanded he wouldn't fly alone when he didn't need to. Hiccup could only smile. He also made it more resistant, so it was almost indestructible.

They have survived their second winter, and Hiccup will be almost 18. Standing at the beach of their island, they looked east. About a five-hour flight from here is a village that will soon meet its end. They can see about 100 dragons waiting to follow their lead behind them. Usually, there would be only around thirty to forty dragons per raid, so they wouldn't stand a chance against their force. They will leave a few alive to spread the message as last time.

Mounting Toothless, he clicked the tail into place while the Nightfury talked to the other dragons, "When we reach the island, you will wait for my signal. Afterward, you will start by setting the buildings on fire while we start with the people. When every building is on fire, you will join in on the people. Leave the boats unharmed, and they need a way to travel."

They all bowed and said, "Yes, my lords." Toothless and Hiccup shot into the sky, and they all followed. In five hours, another village will burn.

(Jokulsa village)

The village of Jokulsa was a middle-sized town with about 300 people living there. Their Chief, Radulf Solveig, was known for his skill in politics since he had all the surrounding villages as allies even though only a few years back, they were all rivals. He wasn't built like the typical Viking. Although he had the same height as Stoick, he wasn't as bulky as him. That didn't mean he wasn't muscular. You could see the muscles everywhere on him. He had a slender build with broad shoulders. He had blonde hair braided into one big braid at the back of his head. His eyes were a deep blue with a scar running over his left eye from above his eyebrow to his lip.

He was sitting at home, eating dinner with his wife, Hjordis, and his two children, Hilda and Bjarni. That was when a loud horn was heard. A raid is coming. It wasn't unusual to have an attack, but they didn't have them often, so they needed to improve at fighting dragons. Turning to his family, he spoke roughly, "Get the children to our town hall and go hide there. After that, you can join me." Opening the door, he walked out and looked up. That was when the confusion came. One dragon was approaching. As the dragon approached, he wondered, 'Why didn't it attack yet?'

Before any of the assembled villagers, about 200 ready to fight, could do anything, the dragon landed in their village plaza. Surrounding the beast, they wondered what kind of dragon it was since no one had seen one like that. What shocked them the most was when a deep voice rang out, "I need to speak with your chief. It is urgent." That was when they noticed the person on the back of the dragon. Radulf was making his way through the crowd and stopped at seeing the odd sight.

"What do you want? I think I speak for all my people that we won't accept that you sided with these beasts. So surrender, and we might let you live.", he said in a commanding tone.

The rider just chuckled, "You are dense, aren't you? I'm not here because I want something from you. But as far as I can see, you have no idea who I am, do you?"

Now Radulf was confused, "No, I don't know anyone who would betray his people. So? What are you going to do? Surrender or die?"

The armored man was silent for a few seconds before answering, "Do you know the Bjargs Tribe? Or what happened to them?"

Radulf raised an eyebrow, "Yes, I knew them before they vanished. I was told that someone called 'Death Angel' destroyed them. I don't believe them. One man is not enough to destroy one tribe."

Now, the rider was hopping down from the beast and stood beside it, "It does sound absurd, I'll give you that, but they were right. I still remember cutting them down, even when they gave up. Their chief, Hakon, I believe, was an idiot. He never could defend his people."

Now Radulf was angry. He knew people from this tribe had friends in the Bjargs. Some even had relatives living there. Now, he was hearing that this stranger was supposed to be responsible for it. Drawing his sword, he pointed it at the stranger and spoke, hate evident in his voice, "You killed innocent people like it is fun?! And for what?! For nothing! If you even think that you could win, you are wrong! Look around you! We outnumber you greatly!"

Still, the armored man stood with the same calm demeanor as before. Drawing his swords while the dragon shot a blast into the sky, he spoke, "I will never surrender. You will perish like they all will. And I'm not outnumbered."

The moment he finished, fire started to fall on houses as dozens of dragons swooped down from above. The stranger charged at the nearest people before they could react and beheaded two while stabbing one in the stomach. Three other Vikings came up behind him as Hiccup turned around and blocked the attack of the first one. The one on the left managed to hit him in the side, but it didn't penetrate the armor. Dumbfounded, he didn't see the blade coming before it was too late. Hiccup sidestepped the one before him, making him stumble forward and lose his balance. Using that opening, he drives his sword into the man's side. With a cry of pain, he drops to the ground and bleeds to death. The last one is moving more carefully with a shield and a hammer. Not wasting time, Hiccup walks closer and attacks with his right sword, getting blocked by the shield and the left getting blocked by the hammer. Before the man can move to attack, a whistle is heard before a blue explosion blows away the man.

Looking to Toothless, Hiccup smiled, "Thanks, bud!" The Nightfury replied, "Always, brother!"

Radulf Solveig ran through the alleys to fend off the dragons before their village was destroyed. Unfortunately for him, the dragons managed to avoid all the attacks from the defenders. After about 20 minutes of raining down fire, every building burned, and the dragons started attacking the people. Hiccup and Toothless were still fighting, cutting through everyone who stood in their way. They had been searching for Radulf since the attack began, but he disappeared, and now they are searching for him.

A Nadder flew toward them and landed as they killed the last of their current foes. Bowing down, the dragon spoke, "My lords. I found the human alpha. He is making his way toward the center of this nest."

Hiccup and Toothless nodded at each other before turning to the Nadder, "Good. Gather the rest and kill them all except five. The human alpha is ours. When you're done, come to us."

The dragon bowed again before replying, "As you wish, my lord.", before flying off shortly after, they could hear the screams of people dying and made their way to the village center. When they reached it, they saw a massive wooden building on fire, and in front of it was Radulf on his knees. His weapon was lying at his side. Approaching him, Radulf spoke, "You killed them. My family is gone, and so is every family from my people. You will pay for what you've done." Standing up and taking his sword, Radulf turned around and pointed it at them, "I will make sure that you die a slow and agonizing death!" With that, he let out a battle cry while charging at Hiccup.

Toothless stood calmly at Hiccup's side, waiting for their attacker to arrive. He knew that Hiccup would win, so he wasn't worried. When Radulf reached only a few feet away, Hiccup shot his crossbow from his arm into Radulf's leg. The bolt went straight through and made him fall to the floor, losing his weapon.

Walking up to him, Hiccup put his foot on Radulf's chest and spoke, "You will die like the rest of your people. And soon, every Viking will be under my command or killed by me and my army." Flicking his wrist and exposing the blade, he said, "Have fun in Hellheim." He pushed the knife into his skull, killing him instantly.

Hiccup heard wings behind him and saw the dragons returning and dropping two men and three women before him. Walking closer, he could see the terror in their eyes and spoke coldly, "I guess you're the lucky ones who will live. Two of you will spread the message while the rest will work on my island. You have one minute to decide who does what."

They agreed that one woman and one man would spread the message since they were married. The others decided through eye contact to try to kill their enemy in his sleep once a plan was formed. Bringing the two people to the docks, they were thrown on deck. While they sailed away, the dragons and their lords flew back home while carrying their cargo in their talons.

And I am done with another one! Sorry that it took longer than the others, but I can tell you that the following chapters will also take a while to publish since I have a lot of stuff going on. Don't worry though, I will still write!
