Notes: wow, it has been a long time. I truly did not think I was ever going to step away for this long nor did I ever think I was going to return.. Well, I am back and alive!
Note2: a little life update.. I got married! It's been a very long 7 years guys. (Haha, coincidence?) A lot has happened. I moved out, graduated college, got married, got a dog, and have my own boba shop business. I hope everyone has been doing well, too! Let me know how you all have been these long 7 years.
Note3: Okay, enough about me, now. Enjoy!
"Lucy, you really can't be serious about going back to the castle!" Nastu whisper-shouted at his wife as she was going through their bedroom collecting what small valuables and clothes she had. "How can you trust that prick? For all you know, he could be plotting something and kill us on the way back or even worse!" He flailed his arms as Lucy paid no mind whatsoever. "He used to plot on us as kids all the time! One time, he stole my scarf and used it as a fucking rag and then lied saying that it wasn't him but I'm smarter than him and—"
"You know I can hear you, right?" Gray shouted from the other room. "And I didn't even do that! You're the one who misplaced your scarf and then one of your idiotic cousins decided that it was a smart idea to clean the spilt milk up with your scarf."
Natsu snapped his head to the right to get eye-contact with the dark-haired knight who sat in his living room with an ice pack pressed against his face. He gave him a glare before turning back to his wife who was too busy looking at two sweaters that were the exact same but in different colors. "Are you even listening to me, Lucy?!"
"Yes, Natsu, I am listening to you. I hear all your concerns and honestly, I don't even know what to tell you." She sighed as she decided to pack both sweaters. "It's been a couple months and I just don't know what to expect—"
"Death!" Natsu shouted, interrupting her sentence. "That is what to expect! You really think my father and my cousin's aren't going to do everything in their power to break us apart? They'll throw you in the dungeon and then put me aboard or marry me off to some troll or—or even something more gruesome like feed you to the lions—!" His sentence was cut short as he saw the look Lucy was giving him.
She huffed and put her hands on her hips, giving him the shut-it look. "Listen," she sighed once more. She glanced over at the living room to see Gray pretending to not listen as he winced moving the ice pack to the other side of his face. She walked over to shut the door and turned around to look at her frantic husband. "I know, Natsu. Do you think I haven't thought this through? Or even think about the consequences of all this? This is all I have been thinking about for the last couple months—hell, the entire time we have been sneaking around!" Lucy threw her arms up, anger and frustration mirroring her face. "I have read so much into the royal family and your stupid rules and I think I can make a deal with the King."
"A deal,"Natsu scoffed. "You think you can make a deal with the King of Fiore? My dad? That old man is more stubborn than I am! He's a hell of a lot worse! And what kind of deal are you even thinking about?"
"That is a great question," she kissed him on the cheek. "I'll let you know what I find out."
"What!" Natsu screeched, grabbing her by the shoulders. "Lucy! Why are you taking this so lightly? I just don't know what to say!" He gently shook her back and forth as she rolled her eyes at him. She brushed him off once more and cupped his face in her hands. His brows were furrowed in worry and he had fear in his eyes making her frown so slightly. She's never seen him so worried besides for the night they ran away together.
In all honesty, she didn't even know what to expect or say. All she knew was that she had to get Natsu and the knight in her living room back to Fiore before hell breaks loose once more. It's only been a couple months and she felt terrible knowing she was keeping someone away from home so long. She knew Natsu belonged back in the kingdom with his family and she knows whoever this knight belonged to missed him, too. Knowing that this was all her fault she felt like she was the sole cause of this drama and knew this was what had to be done. One way or another, she knew she had to bring everyone back together and she knew she had the upper hand in this relationship which helped her make this decision.
"I love you," Lucy cooed, making his face soften. "I won't let anything bad happen to you…" she kissed him softly, making him wrap his arms around her petite figure.
"I'm the one who should be saying that," he chuckled as he kissed her softly again and again. "I'm going to miss this…" He sighed, brushing her golden hair behind her ear and tracing her jawline. "our life was starting to feel like it was getting started and I—" he gulped loudly. "I—I'm scared." He admitted making Lucy frown again.
"What are you scared of?"
"Of losing you." He pressed his forehead against hers, fear decorating his handsome face. "I know we've only been together for a short period of time but I have never felt so alive." He held her tighter. "I've been trapped inside that damn castle for 2 decades, staring at the same walls, saying hi to the same people, sleeping in the same bed… wondering if I will ever have a life or get to live a life that I can proudly look back upon years later." Natsu sighed, his frown deepening as he reminisced on his childhood and life growing up in the royal kingdom. "I felt like when I met you it was my chance to actually start living. To start working on myself and being the best person I can be and if that meant I had to give up my royal status and live a normal life then be it. I had the most fun and the best couple months of my life compared to the last 20. And that is all because of you, Lucy, my beautiful loving wife." Natsu gazed into her chocolate brown eyes as he smiled fondly at her. Lucy smiled right back as a tint of pink brushed against her cheeks. "I don't want to go back to that lifestyle where it's all about rules and tradition and schedules…"
"Natsu, I understand your concern but don't you miss your family?"
Natsu was silent as Lucy took that as confirmation. "I think we should go meet your father and talk with him. I just don't think we did the right thing about just running away… I think we should properly handle this."
Lucy grabbed the last bit of her clothing and stuffed it in their duffle bag before she turned around to grab the door handle and open the door. She noticed Gray wasn't sitting anymore but he was looking around the kitchen, mid-way opening the cabinets when they locked eyes. His entire face went red and immediately shut the cabinets, clearing his throat as he pretended he was doing something else.
"Erm, I—I heard something so I just was making sure it wasn't a rat or anything cause you know they're dirty and they'll eat all your stuff and leave poop everywhere—" his stomach growled loudly leaving the silence to swallow them whole. His entire face went bright red once more, darker than it was before as he cleared his throat and stuttered. "D—did you hear that? I think you do have rats in here!"
Lucy started to laugh as Gray turned brighter by the second. Natsu came out right behind her and started to mean-mug the knight again as Gray regained his posture.
"Stop making my wife laugh, you asshole!"
"Natsu," Lucy waved him off, scowling slightly. "I'm sorry—Gray, was it?" She pointed at him as he cleared his throat, again, and nodded. "I totally forgot that you were hungry and I offered to feed you before we found out you were a knight… Let me prepare you something to eat! Maybe we can head out tomorrow morning?" She smiled happily as she looked between the two men who were both pouting like children.
"I don't know why—"
"Natsu, why don't you go get some firewood from outside so I can prepare a meal? And Gray, why don't you freshen up in our bathroom? Wash off that dried blood and sweat. I'll have dinner ready for us in a couple hours."
And with that she put on her apron and shooed the boys out of the kitchen as the men exchanged confused but content glances.
Sitting by the fire, Natsu poked at the bonfire that was dancing into the night. He can hear Lucy washing the dishes from inside their cottage, the horse drinking the water by the side of their home, the crickets chirping, and the soft breeze. So many thoughts were running inside his head as he could just feel his shoulders becoming heavy with worry and a little bit of guilt.
What if Lucy gets hurt? What if they end up separated? What if he's forced into marriage the moment they get back into Fiore? What if Gray already signaled someone to find them?
Dinner was nice and he was able to start relaxing around the knight as he realized that he was truly there for some food. He hasn't seen Gray since they were teens since they attended the same academy for combat training and since Gray had returned from his mission across to the Steel City. They used to be best friends when they were younger as they always had a rivalry and he indeed missed his friend but under the circumstances he was in, now, he did not know who to trust. His own cousin betrayed him and banished Lucy from Fiore so who is he to say Gray isn't plotting against him either?
Natsu sighed as he listened to the cracks and pops of the firewood as he looked up into the night sky. Millions of stars decorated the dark sky and he remembered all the years he would look up into the sky wondering if life gets better from here or if he was going to be trapped just like those stars.
He wonders: will life be the same? What did his father have in store for him? That man is getting too old and is rushed to have Natsu rule the kingdom at such a young age but can he really stand up against him now?
All he knew was that he needed a plan.
"Natsu?"
Natsu turned around to see his beautiful wife standing behind him, a soft smile on her beautiful pale face. Natsu stood up and brushed the dirt off his pants before he opened his arms to have Lucy come fall into him. He held her as she laid her head against his shoulder, the two swaying back and forth. "Thanks for dinner," he murmured into her hair as he kissed the top of her head. "It was delicious." He leaned down to whisper. "But not as delicious as you."
"Natsu!" Lucy squealed as she punched his shoulder leaving him grinning. "You're too much."
"Stop acting like you don't like it," he teased, making her roll her eyes and smile. "Besides, we were supposed to but we had that ice-princess in there" he nudged his head towards the cottage leaving her blushing. "I just miss you so much."
"I have been here this whole time," she giggled as Natsu twirled her around. "You horny bastard."
"Always, for you." He whispered into her ear as he kissed her neck. "What can I help you with?"
"I just wanted to see what you were up to." Lucy admitted as she traced his muscles on his arm. "I missed my husband." She purred as she smiled coyly at him. This made Natsu smile as he felt a string tug at his heart and as well as a small throb from his bottom member as well. Lucy felt his warmth and nudged him away, giving him a small giggle as she looked behind to look at the cottage. "Stop it, Gray is inside!"
"Well, it is my home.." Natsu said, earning another nudge from his wife. "But, fine, whatever my wife says." He kissed her on the cheek before returning to his bonfire.
"So, I was thinking…" Lucy started making him turn and look at her again. She looked flustered as she swayed back and forth making him turn and stand back up. "I was thinking that we should talk about what our plan is for tomorrow. Y'know, just in case something happens."
"Like what?"
"Like, I don't know, like if we get separated?"
Natsu frowned at this as he pressed his lips into a thin line. He now stood in front of her again as she looked down at her doe eyes. "That's not going to happen." He said firmly, making her sigh and shake her head.
"I said if—"
"And I said that it's not going to happen."
"Natsu, would you please just listen—?"
"Lucy," Natsu said sharply, making her grow silent and look at him. "I said no and that's that."
The silence between the two grew as the crackle and pops from the fire felt like fireworks, loud and clear. Natsu watched as Lucy's frown deepened and her eyes became glossy making him sigh and walk back over to her. Lucy turned her body away from him as she crossed her arms, hugging herself. "I just wanted to be prepared. Have a game plan in case something happens. I'm scared, too, you know.."
"Luce—"
"I love and trust you with 100% of my life and body, Natsu." She said softly as he watched her body tremble slightly. "But, I'm scared that something will happen to us and I just don't know how I could live with myself because I am the reason behind all your misery and pain. I don't know what it is like to be royalty or live with such high status in this world but I do know it is hard to lose your family and be away from them," Lucy sighed and wiped some tears away from her eyes as she turned back around to look at her frowning husband. "I am here with you and will fight for us but just know that I will not be that bitch who tore apart your family or the royal kingdom."
Natsu grabbed Lucy and pulled her into a hug, the soft scent of her filling his lungs as he held on tight. The silence between them made the air grow thick as he held her tight and kissed her softly.
"I love you," he whispered into her hair. "I won't ever let you forget that."
Listening and watching from the side of the cottage, Gray leaned against the wall of the home as his horse beside him slept peacefully. He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair as he looked up into the night sky, listening to Natsu and Lucy kiss and dance. It made him miss his mistress at home as it's been way too long since he has last touched and kissed her. He wonders: does she miss him as much as he misses her?
Gray now understood why Natsu left his kingdom for this commoner.
"Mmmm… Natsu!"
"Shhh, you'll wake him."
"B—but, mmm.. ah!"
Opening his eyes, Gray made a face as the bright sun peeked in through the curtains of the window and the soft giggles woke him up from his slumber. His face was throbbing from the blows he endured last night and he felt sore all over. He blinked a couple times as he was now registering what sounds woke him up and where he was.
"Oh, Natsu, yes!"
Natsu was having sex.
Gray was quick to roll over and grab his belongings before quietly exiting through the back. He could hear the squeaking of the bed frame and their harsh breathing as he felt sick to his stomach listening to their love-making at this hour. He scowled at the bright sun as he stumbled towards his steed who was awake and drinking water by the well, the bright morning light blinding him. A shiver ran down his spine as he could hear the two love-birds with no shame in the world. Gray groaned and stretched as he was woken up abruptly and without a doubt he was going to fight him later.
Listening to the birds chirp and the bright sun beat into him, Gray was fully able to wake himself up and get ready for his long day ahead. Today was the day he was finally able to show face back at the kingdom and with his precious cargo that had been requested for months. The wild goose chase was finally over with and he was able to return home to his own Juvia and relax in the comfort of his home. And he was able to do what Natsu was doing to Lucy, too.
A man could dream.
Grabbing his belongings and heading down to the river, Gray imagined what the day was going to be like. Rows and rows of screaming girls and fellow knights all bowed in his direction as he rode into Fiore with the pyromaniac idiot and his wife. The cheers and confetti flying as the fellow townsmen clapped for the almighty Gray Fullbuster. He was going to be a hero. The new face of Fiore as he brought back the most wanted and the missing Prince of Fiore. He just knew he was going to win major brownie points for this!
He washed his face with the cool water of the stream and got dressed, his stomach rumbling once more reminding him he needs breakfast.
Heading back up to the cottage, he thought about the day onwards as he was going to celebrate big tonight. With a big smile on his face, he started to strap his horse up and get his belongings in the saddle as they should be hopefully on the road by noon. The smell of bacon made his stomach rumble, again as he didn't even know what time it was but all he knew was that he was hungry and he had to get the hell out before he started to rot in this wilderness.
"Oh, Gray! There you are!" A familiar voice chirped as he turned around to face the blonde who had bright rosy cheeks and a big smile on her face. Her hair looked like she just brushed it out with a couple of baby hairs sticking out on top of her head. "I was just making some breakfast and sandwiches for the road—would you care to join us?"
"Thank you, Miss Lucy. I would be honored to join you for this gracious feast you have prepared." He smiled, making her giggle.
"It's just Lucy, not Miss Lucy." She scowled at him jokingly.
"Okay, just Lucy, I would love to join."
Smiling at the dark-haired knight, Lucy sighed and shook her head. "Breakfast is about done so whenever you're done out here just come on in!" He watched as she turned around and made her way back inside, a soft smile appearing on his lips. He did grow quite fond of the blonde as she was full of life and smiles. She was intelligent and so bright in her own ways that he could see how she shined. She made Natsu happier and he can definitely see a difference when it comes to him. He hasn't seen him this happy, ever.
"What are you smiling at?"
Hearing the familiar voice, Gray's smile instantly dropped and he turned to look at the pink-haired Prince who was carrying a log on his shoulders and looking at him with a smug look. Gray just narrowed his eyes as he remembered what woke him up this morning and shivers ran down his spine, again.
"Cold or something?"
"No, just grossed out by you."
"What?" Natsu hissed. "Fuck you, man."
"Listen, I'm all for getting your dick wet—I haven't in months—it's just that I don't want to hear it. Especially being woken up by it." Gray put his hands up making Natsu furrow his brows at him until it hit him. Natsu couldn't help but grin widely as he shifted the log to his other shoulder, a loud bellow coming from his mouth. "Yeah, fuck you for that. You're disgusting," Gray sneered at him, making Natsu grin even wider. "And knowing I was sleeping outside your bedroom door, you have no shame."
"You're in my house, buddy. If I want to fuck my wife I'm going to fuck my wife."
"Yeah, whatever," Gray waved him off as he turned his back to him, heading to the front door. "Lucy said breakfast is ready so get inside and let's get going."
He heard a thud from behind him and it was like they were in elementary school again, the both of them rushing to see who was first to enter the house. It started off as speed-walking and then full on sprints as they both reached the door at the same time, hands on the handle of the door and lightning blazing in-between them. They pushed each other to fit in the small frame of the door, curse words and insults flying out of their mouths.
"I was here, first, flame-for-brains!"
"Well, it's my house, ice-prick!"
"I don't care, I was here first!"
"Go to hell!"
"Not before you, fuckface!"
"Really, guys?" Lucy's voice sounded disappointed as the two men looked up to see her standing by the window watching the two with her arms crossed. "How old are you two, honestly?" She sighed, making them both shout in unison.
"He started it!"
"I don't care who started it!" Lucy snapped, making the two stop. "Just get in here, the food is getting cold."
"A—aye, sir!" The two shouted out, saluting her as the door opened and the two piled inside the cozy cottage. A spread of bacon, eggs, toast, pancakes, rice, and leftover meat from the previous night was laid out while a small basket of sandwiches were set to the side for their trip. Gray and Natsu both drooled as the smell and look of the food made their stomachs rumble, both of them rushing over to reserve their spot at the table while Lucy threw the dirty dishes in the sink.
"Thanks, Luce!" Natsu shouted as he gave her a quick peck and slap on the ass before he sat down. Lucy yelped and blushed bright red as she scowled at her husband who did not have a care in the world besides loading his plate up.
"Natsu!" She hissed, making him look at her with a mouth full of pancake. "We have a guest."
"We do?" He said making her sigh and point at Gray who sat next to him, trying to mind his business and not intervene in their conversation. "I don't consider him a guest, Lucy, he is what we call: an inconvenience. And besides, he already heard us having sex this morning so why does—"
"What!" Lucy screeched, her face exploding into red as she looked at Gray who tried real hard to not get eye-contact while Natsu nonchalantly poured half the bottle of maple syrup onto his plate. "W—what.. I—I—y—you!" She sputtered out, shaking with embarrassment. "I—I—I am so sorry Gray—"
"Please," Gray also started to get red as he cleared his throat. "We don't have to talk about this," he continued to avoid eye-contact as he started to eat.
Lucy stood there bright-red and silent, not knowing how to process this as she fidgeted in her spot. She just knew it was a bad idea but her idiotic horny husband somehow convinced her and got her into this and he didn't even care.
"Who cares, Lucy? Your moans are sexy and we had a great time. Sit down and eat!" Natsu said cheerfully as he loaded his plate for the second time, already.
Lucy could just die if she could right there.
Starting their journey back to the Fiore was stressful and not to mention, hard. The couple miles back to town wasn't the issue here, no, the two men who did not know how to communicate were. They were only twenty minutes in their journey when they started to bicker—shouting about who was better and faster and whatever else came to mind to one-up each other. Lucy felt like she was babysitting and the worst part was: she was married to one of them. She has not seen a side like this of Natsu, not even when it came to his cousins. All she knew was that she wanted to either turn around, shoot herself, or just disappear so she did not have to endure this for the next couple hours. Not to mention, she was also nervous and stressed about what this interaction was going to be like. She wore her best dress and shoes so when she was presented in front of the King, himself, she was going to show him that Natsu did not run off with some bimbo with big tits and a life full of life. She was going to show him that she was an intelligent woman with dedication and a will to do whatever she puts her mind to.
And that was to murder her husband and his childhood best friend.
"Well, I was always better than you at swordsmanship at the academy!"
"Well, I got more girls than you!"
"You're a fucking Prince! No duh!"
"So, what! Get your pussy game up!"
"Can you both just SHUT UP!" Lucy shouted at them, making even the horse flinch in fear. The silence between all three of them was extremely loud as the only sounds that can be heard is the horse's hooves clicking and the huffs coming from the blonde who sat high up on Gray's steed.
It only took three minutes and the two were back at it, again.
Oh, if looks could kill.
Coming closer to the city, Lucy felt all sorts of butterflies in her stomach. Her hands started to sweat and she could her insides squirming as if she had to use the bathroom. It made her feel anxious as she saw the city ahead and she motioned for the men to stop. Natsu and Gray gave her a puzzling look but as soon as they saw how pale and sweaty she was, they understood.
"You okay?" Gray asked first as Natsu came around to hold her. Lucy just shook her head "no" as she took a deep breath in.
"You're okay, Lucy." Natsu said as he held her tight. "I'm nervous, too." He admitted as Lucy gave him a squeeze.
This could be the last time they could be together. The very last time she could touch him, feel him, smell him, or even hold him. It made her inside twist and turn and it was a feeling she did not enjoy at all.
She looked up at Natsu with glazed eyes and it was like he knew.
They held each other tight as Gray frowned at their vulnerability. He, himself, didn't even know what was going to happen. King Igneel never mentioned what the reward or what the punishment was for these two. He was just frantic about having the missing Prince and lover returned home that he never mentioned the reasoning behind it. He was strict to notify everyone that they must be returned alive and in good shape and that was it. The craziest part was that he requested Lucy to be brought with him.
He wonders if it was to punish her for running away with the Prince of Fiore.
Is he making a good choice by returning the couple back to Fiore? Wouldn't King Igneel just bring Natsu back?
"Come on, guys. We're about a mile away at this point—you two got this." He tried to encourage them but he didn't even sound convincing to himself, either.
Pulling away from each other, the couple held hands the entire way towards the city as their hearts pulsed through their connected hands. They both felt like their hearts were going to jump out of their mouths and if King Igneel wanted them dead then they would have been dead. Natsu knows what kind of powder the royal family holds and he knows damn well that he wouldn't be able to stay hidden forever. That cottage was going to be his get-away for at least a couple months and they would have been hopping from one city or town or home to another. He's got connections but who's to say nobody else does, either?
Natsu wonders what his family is going to say. He hasn't seen or spoken to them since he left that one night where he stormed off and disappeared.
Natsu swallowed hard as they approached the gate to the city. He can clearly see multiple knights on top and on the side guarding the familiar entrance. He kept his guard up and Lucy close as he watched Gray speak to a knight nearby and then suddenly the loud horn tooting. The large gates were opened and as if they were already expecting them, a horse-drawn carriage was awaiting their arrival up front with Happy standing by the carriage.
"Happy!" Natsu shouted in pure relief. The blue-haired male turned to look and his entire face also appeared brighter.
"Your majesty!"
The two ran to each other to meet in the middle and embraced each other in a bear hug. The familiar smell of each other got them grinning from ear to ear as they held each other in place and rocked back and forth.
"You're alive and well!" Happy shouted, looking at the pink-haired man he grew up with. "I am so happy you have returned to Fiore." He said as he got a glimpse of Lucy behind him. "And you brought back Miss Lucy," he said, almost disappointed.
"Hi, Happy, nice to see you, too." She said sarcastically as Natsu grabbed ahold of her hand.
"Happy, I do not want you to treat Lucy or speak to her in that manner," Natsu said, making Happy bow at him apologetically.
"I apologize sir Natsu—"
"And enough of your nonsense.. I banished and abandoned my title so, technically, I am not royalty anymore." He grinned at Happy, making the butler sigh. "So, what are you doing here? Is someone important coming, again? The Duke? Or is—?"
"Sir Natsu and Lady Lucy," Happy interrupted him to open the door to the carriage. "please enter in this carriage the King had requested for your arrival. The kingdom is thrilled to see their future ruler return in one piece."
Silence filled the air and Lucy and Natsu exchanged looks before they looked at Gray.
"How does—?"
"I thought you were bringing us back to the kingdom." Natsu started to say as he pointed at Gray. "Why is Happy here to take us and how does the entire kingdom know of our arrival?" He asked Gray, making him look away nervously. "You notified the city of my arrival?"
"Well, yes, of course I did. I had to tell the kingdom to stop the hunt for you—"
"Hunt?" Natsu repeated, his eyebrows furrowed. "What are we? Animals? You set us up!" He shouted while pointing at Gray. He grabbed Lucy and pushed her behind him, anger flashing across his eyes. "I knew it! You were against us the whole time and plotted just like everyone else!"
"Now Sir Natsu, that isn't—"
"And you, Happy! You're supposed to be on my side!" Natsu changed his attention to the butler who looked hurt as Natsu accused him. "How could you do this to me! I came here willingly to speak in terms and you guys knew about my arrival and have been plotting! You aren't taking me or my wife away!"
"Wife?" A new voice appeared as the four turned to look.
A red-haired man came out of carriage that just pulled up, the tall man towering over everyone has he had a stern look on his face.
Even without mentioning Lucy knew without a doubt this was the king of Fiore. Her heart pounded in her chest as she grabbed Natsu's arm tightly, her eyes wide with sweat dripping down her forehead. She could feel the heaviness in the air and it felt like she was drowning as her husband and the King of Fiore exchanged looks.
"I was awaiting your return, Natsu," Igneel said, making Natsu narrow his eyes. "I was wondering when you would."
"I am not back for good, father," Natsu hissed. "Only returned for a small brief moment."
"Now, what's the hurry?" He motioned for his knights to come around, surrounding the couple. Lucy's arms tightened around Natsu's as he held her close, his eyes locked on his father's. "Won't you come back with me? I have some things I would like to say to you and your wife," he flickered his eyes at the blonde who looked paler than ever. "So, please join us at the Kingdom for dinner."
"Only if you can promise our safety and we will remain together the entire time."
"On Mavis herself, I promise." Igneel gave him a smile.
"Can we trust him?" Lucy whispered into Natsu's ear, her eyes looking at all the men who were surrounding them with their spears. Her eyes landed on Gray's who looked down, his face also twisted with emotions. "What if something happens?"
"Lucy, don't worry. One thing my father does not do is lie. He promised us our safety so we can follow. Just don't get your guard down and stay close," he grabbed her hand, taking her towards the carriage Happy was standing at. He opened the door for the couple and bowed, awaiting their entrance.
And with that, the couple and the King were on their way back to the Palace, awaiting this special news.
Notes: leave me a review about how much you missed me and how terrible of a person I am and how Natsu is sooo out of character and anything else you like to get off your chest. It has been 7 years.
Notes2: thank you to everyone who remained loyal and continued to wait for my return. I cannot promise anyone I will be doing regular updates or keeping up with everything but I will try to at least do small updates as i am finding more time. Thank you all! Love you all way too much!
