"Now we have shelter and some food to survive for a week," Jin announced with a beaming smile, a sense of accomplishment washing over him as he gazed upon the temporary base or bunker he had painstakingly constructed. With a genuine sense of purpose, he began his earnest search for food.
In this barren, lifeless landscape, finding sustenance proved to be quite the challenge, but Jin welcomed the task with open arms. To him, the impossible was just another obstacle waiting to be overcome. After all, everything he had endured up to this point had transformed him into an unstoppable force.
As Aurora, his loyal companion, stood by, she couldn't help but ask, "So what now, Master? We have the basics covered – food, oxygen, shelter, and power. What's our next step?"
Jin pondered the multitude of activities they could engage in to pass the time. "We can do many things here, Aurora. For instance, we could search for any signs of life, conduct further studies on that foreign particle that altered my body, physically examine my cyberwares, test the limits and capabilities of my nanobots – there are countless possibilities. However..."
Aurora's curiosity got the best of her, and she prodded, "However, what, Master?"
Jin paused for a moment before revealing his primary concern, "We need to find a way back to our old world."
Aurora couldn't help but question, "Why prioritize it last, Boss? Don't you think it's more important than some of the other tasks?"
"You won't understand, Aurora. Just trust me and follow my lead," Jin insisted, his voice unwavering as he made his case. "Aye, aye, boss," she responded, deciding not to push the matter any further and letting Jin continue to laze about.
"You know, Master, you're truly insane, and I love that about you... it keeps things interesting," she playfully muttered in an attempt to bring a smile to his face.
"Hahaha," Jin burst into laughter, unable to stifle his amusement. As he wiped away a tear, he acknowledged, "Aurora, since gaining a personality, you've shown signs of self-development. Congratulations, girl."
"Thank you, Master, for recognizing it," she replied, her voice tinged with gratitude, catching Jin off guard as he toppled off the makeshift bed he had fashioned from large tree leaves.
"What happened, Master? I sensed your heart skip a beat," she inquired with concern.
"Nothing, it's fine... I just... never mind," he mumbled, dismissing the incident.
With that, they settled into silence, and Jin, succumbing to his love for leisure and sleep, dozed off once more.
After a few hours of rest, recharging his energy from the hunting and construction, Jin awoke to Aurora's greeting, "Good evening, Boss."
"Aurora, we need to thoroughly test each cyberlimb, one at a time. Although I trust your inspections, I want to personally put them to the test," Jin declared.
"Very well, do as you please. I will record and save the data," Aurora agreed.
Jin outlined their plan, "We'll begin with the ocular system, then move on to the hands, arms, and legs today."
Exiting the bunker, Jin ventured into the forest, creating a safe distance from their base. He began with his ocular system, putting [Ocular system: True Sight] through its paces. He tested its enhanced range, which had increased from 1500 meters to 3000 meters, and confirmed that all its functions, including thermal, night vision, x-ray, and zoom, were functioning perfectly.
As for [Ocular system: Almighty Silt, Jin understood that it required a living, moving target to fully utilize its combat enhancements. He couldn't help but marvel at the potential.
"Next up, [CyberArm: Dragon's Fang," Jin announced. With a slight, violent shake of his arms, blades emerged from both forearms simultaneously. The blades heated upon contact with the air, transitioning from orange-red to blood red with blackened edges. Jin could feel the intense heat they emitted.
Impressed by their capabilities, he muttered, "Impressive... even more impressive." He proceeded to effortlessly cut through the nearby gigantic tree, whose 500-meter height and 10-meter thickness offered little resistance to his newfound strength.
BOOOOM
Quakes
The gigantic tree produced an explosive sound that could be heard thousands of meters away and even created a small earthquake as it hit the ground because of his weight.
