Hey guys and gals, CMBasher7 here with another chapter in The Portal Master of Zero.
So I heard your comments and I am making this fanfiction a series.(Breaks out party horns) Anyways, I thank you for saying that this fanfic has potential.
Anyways as you know I don't own any Skylanders or characters from Familiar of Zero, the only thing I do own is what I create and the story that goes along.
Later that night, Louise's Room...
Earth?" Louise questioned Yu at the strange element-named Planet.
After being dragged back to her room, Yu had told Louise everything he knew before arriving here, except that the Skylanders were a toys to life game, because that would designate him as an insane person.
"That's right, I'm from the planet Earth, I come from California, and I'd like to return back home, please." Yu told Louise where he's from.
"Well, I don't believe you." Louise said. "I don't believe that such a world exists."
"Of course you don't. To you, me coming from another world is more crazier than me being able to summon Skylanders." Yu said with a huff. "And can you take this stupid thing off me?" Yu asked lifting up a chain connected to a collar around his neck.
"Speaking of which, What can you tell me about Skylands?" Louise asked her familiar what Skylands was like.
"You... want me to tell you about Skylands?" Yu questioned curiously as Louise nodded her head.
"As your Master, it's my job to learn everything about my Familiar."
"So what would you like to know about Skylands?" Yu asked what Louise would like to know about the Skylanders home.
"Well it's obvious what I want to know is what is Skylands like." Louise gave her answer on what Skylands is like.
"I think, I can do something better." Yu said before he got into a meditative stance and internally prayed, 'Please let this work.'
Yu began to meditate and try an focus on creating a replica of Eon from Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure beginning cutscene.
Soon, Yu's eyes glowed fully white with no pupils as a light shone out of his mouth. He began to float upwards, with the chain around his neck doing absolutely nothing to hold him in place.
And soon, appearing before the meditating Yu and a stunned Louise was a large clouds and peering through those clouds was a giant floating human-like head of an old man with a long white beard and mustache, wearing a helm with a blue crystal in the middle and has six horns (three on each side) that goes from small to medium to large from bottom to top in that order.
"Greetings, young ones. I am Eon, your guide to this world. But where are you, you may ask?" Master Eon said in a wise old man voice to Louise.
A bright light fills Louise's vision and as soon as it dies down, she soon sees that there is a multitude of floating islands, each different from the last. On each of the floating sky islands she could see many creatures roaming across the islands, through flight, traveling across islands or even, using a boat to sail the sky she could see such creatures as walking skeletons, machines, living plants, dragons, griffons, and so much more conversing with one another.
"This... is Skylands. An ancient world of wonder and mystery. For generations, the Portal Masters and the Skylanders have kept peace and balance in this world so that all creatures could thrive. Magic flows through everything here; Every rock, every tree, and every beast." Eon finished explaining what Skylands was to Louise as Yu's eyes and mouth soon stopped shining a pure white light as Eon faded back into the clouds behind him.
Yu soon feel to the ground and onto his knees as he gasped for air not really thinking he could even actually do that.
"So everything in Skylands can use magic?" Louise slowly questioned.
"Well, Yeah, sort-of." Yu answered with a shrug of his shoulders.
"Including the Elements of the Pentagon?" Louise asked Yu.
"Of cour-wait, what?" Yu said confused as he looked at Louise.
"The Elements of the Pentagon: Fire, Earth, Air, and Water." Louise answered what she meant.
"And what of the fifth?" Yu asked curiously.
"That is Our Founder, Brimir's, Sacred Element: Void." Louise tells Yu of her founder.
"Well, there's actually 10 elements in Skylands." Yu revealed that there were actually ten distinct elements in Skylands.
"T-Ten, preposterous!"
"I'm not kidding there's the basic Fire, Earth, Air, and Water. Then there's Magic, Tech, Life, and Undead. And finally the two new elements that were discovered, Light and Dark." Yu revealed all 10 Elements of Skylands to Louise, to her shocking surprise.
The fact that Life and the Undead were Elements sent shivers down her spines, imagining the Elves being capable of using actual nature against her and then there was the Undead Element, the fact that the dead could actually rise from their graves and interact with her sent a shiver down her back.
"T-That impossible, there cannot be more than the five Elements." Louise shouted in shock, not believing there could be more than five Elements.
"Look here, you just saw me summon a dragon out of thin air from a disk with a purple star in said disk just from calling out his name. I think you better start changing your believability for your sanity's sake." Yu told Louise that she better start changing what she believed in right now for her sanity's sake.
"Fair point." Louise said with a deadpanned expression as she looked away.
"Anyways, can you at least send me back home?" Yu asked if he could at least be sent back.
Louise soon took her mantle off and threw it at Yu's face.
"Hey!" Yu shouted before halting as he noticed Louise was undressing herself before him, again.
"No matter who it is or where it came from. The contract is absolute." Louise said as she threw the rest of her school clothes at Yu.
"W-What are you doing?!" Yu questioned with an embarrassed blush on his face.
"I'm undressing so I can go to bed." Louise said, like there was nothing wrong with that, she soon snapped her fingers causing all the candles in her room to go out. And with the lights out, she soon began to take of her dress underneath her clothes off in front of Yu, causing his face to turn a bright tomato red color.
"Whoa, whoa! Stop, stop! Not with me around!" Yu shouted out with wide eyes in shock at what Louise was doing at the moment.
"Why?" Louise questioned, not really seeing the issue that Yu had at the moment.
"You're really okay with you undressing when there is a teenage BOY around you?!" Yu questioned as he quickly covered his eyes.
This caused Louise's face to quickly turn red as she soon quickly realized this as well, thankfully her red face was hidden in the darkness of the room thanks to turning out the lights.
"W-Well can you wash those for me for tonight." Louise said as she put on her night gown and got into bed for tonight.
He soon looked at the clothes that Louise had given him and gave a sigh. "What has my life become?" Yu questioned to himself as he soon got up and began to use some of his Water and Air Skylanders to help wash and dry her clothes for tomorrow.
The Next Day...
The next morning Yu had soon woken up from his unbearable hay bed, he swiped away some of the hay that stuck on him, grumbling as he did so. He then grabbed his aviator goggles that he had taken off before he went to sleep and put them back on. For some reason, despite his shivering last night, his body had stayed completely warm like a fire.
Yu soon got up, did some stretches and shook Louise by her shoulder, waking her up. She yawned before turning around and facing Yu.
"Hey, wait, who are you?" Louise asked who had woken her up.
"Wow, in just a night you forgot who I am?" Yu deadpanned. With a sigh he soon pointed at Louise's clothes sitting on the table folded. "You're clothes are right on the table."
"Oh, the familiar." Louise yawned as she rubbed her eyes. "The boy I had summoned yesterday." Louise said as she soon got out of bed and walked towards her table, before noticing that her panties where missing.
"If you're wondering where your panties are they are placed on top of your dresser , I had Echo and Jet Vac clean THAT one for you." Yu said, thankful he didn't have to touch Louise's panties and thankful he could summon the Dragon/Seahorse Hybrid and the Sky Baron.
Soon Louise had gotten her panties on, thankfully Yu was facing away from her as to not be a creep. She soon tossed her clothes at Yu. Causing him to turn around with a growl.
"Now what?" Yu questioned with a harden glare.
"Dress me."
The two humans just stared at each other in complete silence.
"Oh yeah, I am SO not doing that. Sprocket, Chill, help me out here for my sake, please." Yu begged his Skylanders as he drew the line there, as he began to summon another Skylander. Soon his eyes and white shirt turned mechanical orange before turning watery blue.
Soon, an orange disk appeared next to Yu as the disk's symbol revealed an orange mechanical gear inside with three dots inside the gear. The disk soon exploded in a puff of mechanical gears and smoke.
Then, appearing next to Yu, was a humanoid girl made of pure gold with short red hair and pink lips. Over her eyes she wore a pair of blue goggles with green-tinted glasses. She wore a pair of brown leathery pants and shirt underneath a sleeveless blue metal tunic with a gauge dial at the front, around her waist was a metal skirt. She wore a pair of blue metal boots with gold buckles and over her hands was blue metal fingerless gauntles that covered her entire forearm and wrist and there was a green glow coming from the hole at the top of the gauntlets knuckles. They had a golden buckle and belt strapped to her wrists. And strapped to her back was a golden canister. And in her right gold hand was a massive wrench.
Then a blue circular disk appeared next to Sprocket, inside the disk, was a symbol of a blue drop of water. Surrounding it was a multitude of water splashes as the disk soon exploded in watery smoke.
And once the watery explosion dissipated, standing where the blue water disk once was, was the Water Skylander Chill.
"The Fix is in!" The Goldling Sprocket announced her catchphrase as she twirls her wrench over her shoulder.
"Stay Cool!" Chill announced her battle cry as she twirled her lance in her fingers.
"What shall you have us do?" Chill questioned as she placed a fist over her breastplate and bowed her head.
'I am so thankful that I can summon multiple Skylanders. Though that makes me wonder how many I can summon at a time?' Yu wondered as he looked at Sprocket and Chill.
"Can you.. um, put Miss Louise clothes on her, since I am not going to be doing that." Yu explained his and Louise's situation at the moment to Chill and Sprocket.
"Really? Is that all?" Chill asked as she raised an eyebrow at the Portal Master's request and the collar around his neck.
"Yes, please don't make it awkward for either of us." Yu said with a sigh.
"Alright, alright, just go wait outside ya big wuss." Sprocket said as she tapped the 16 year old's arm and soon she and Chill, put their weapons away and went to help Louise with her clothes.
That was when Louise noticed that the metal chain and the lock around Yu's neck looked like it was melted, but there were no burn marks around his entire neck, making her wonder how he could melt the collar.
"Your collar, it's melted." Louise began to try and figure out how that happened before she remembered one of the elements that Yu had mentioned last night. "You used one of your Fire Skylanders didn't you?!"
"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't. Have fun ladies." Yu said with a winning leaving that up for Louise to interpret.
In actuality, Yu had put both of his hands on the collar, trying to get the darn thing off, for too long and the palms of both his hands began to heat up and melt the collar, without giving Yu's neck 3rd degree burns.
"I'll be in the hallways if you need me." Yu said as he walked out the room.
Yu soon left Louise's room and waited right beside the door.
At the Academy's Dining Hall...
Once Sprocket and Chill had finished helping get Louise dressed, Louise, Chill, and Sprocket soon walked out of her room where she could see Yu looking at one of his hands and leaning his back against the wall next to her door..
The four soon made their way to the dining hall, where Yu took notice of three very long tables in the middle of an extravagant dining hall with each table filled to the brim with students.
"Oh, look. There here." Kirche said to Montmorency, pointing a finger at the arriving Louise and Yu.
"Who are those two girls with them?" A female student quietly asked, curious about Sprocket and Chill's appearance.
"Hey, doesn't that girl look like she's made of gold?" A student questioned the Goldling's gold skin.
"Yeah, you're right."
"That once with the lance looks like a guard for royalty."
"I wonder what someone like that is doing with 'The Zero' and that peasant boy?"
Louise and Yu soon arrived at a plate with a tall glass of what seemed like orange juice, a plate of bread, what appeared to be pancakes and gravy.
Yu then looked at the food curiously, never having seen anything like that when he went out to eat. He could admit it looked somewhat eatable, but that's about it.
The two soon arrived at two empty chairs next to one another.
Louise soon pointed down towards the floor, confusing the Portal Master. Yu looked down at where she was pointing and spotted... a chipped plate... on the floor.
"Yeeeeeaaaah, no." Yu said as he soon pulled the chair he had grabbed and sat in it, ignoring Louise's orders.
"What do you think you're doing, Familiar?!" Louise questioned what Yu was doing right now sitting in a chair not meant for him.
"You seem to have forgotten Louise, I am a Portal Master, which means highly respectable being in Skylands." Yu reminded Louise of his position as a Portal Master, being a highly respected being in that world.
"Yeah, well this isn't Skylands, familiar. This is Tristain Academy of Magic and you are my familiar." Louise reminded Yu of where he was at. "And as my familiar, you are meant to eat on the floor. Only nobility is meant to sit at the table."
"Oh really? Let me think about this for a moment... hmm." Yu hummed in thought thinking about what Louise's had said to him. Before snapping his finger and pointing both his fingers right at her. "No."
"Oh, this outta be good." Sprocket said with a chuckle as she could see the anger rising in Louise. Chill nodded in agreement with the Tech Element Skylander.
The Summoner and the Portal Master soon began arguing against one another on their seating positions.
A couple minutes later...
After a couple minutes of arguing with one another, we soon see Yu sitting on the floor angered at his predicament as he let out an angered huff.
"How did I ended up losing that argument?" Yu wondered how on Earth he had lost the right to sit in a chair.
"I am once again grateful for this humble meal." Yu overheard Louise and the other students chant the morning meal prayer.
'Humble meal my butt, they are living the high life.' Yu sarcastically thought as he looked at the foods on his plate. Or really, food as it was just a simple piece of dry bread... and nothing else.
"I wouldn't exactly call this humble." Chill questioned as she poked the bread with her finger.
"Yeah, back before I was a Skylander, what they had was what was normal for me everyday of my life." Sprocket said with a sigh as she was reminded of her past.
"Yeah no, I'm not eating this. Sprocket, Return. Slobber Tooth, come out here and eat this... I-I just can't." Yu said as Spricket disappeared in a flash of light and his color-shifting rainbow eyes and pure white shirt soon turned to an earthly brown color.
Soon appearing where Sprocket once stood was an earthly brown disk, inside the earthly brown disk was a symbol of an earthly brown colored mountain. The disk soon exploded into a cloud of dirt and crystals.
And, appearing where Sprocket was once standing, was a quadrupedal turtle dinosaur with bumpy light green scales wearing harder dark green turtle-like armor over his entire torso like a turtle shell with spikes poking out the top of his shell, on the top of his head which had a single horn, and neck. He had three-digit claws on all four legs, with a white spike poking out of his elbows. Large pairs of pearly whites jutting out of his underbite of a jaw, there was even a spike under his chin. His tail was like an ankylosaurus, clubbed with four spikes (two on each side) with a smaller one underneath the much larger spike.
"Clobber and Slobber!" Slobber Tooth announced his battle cry, but no one seemed to pay attention to Slobber Tooth's arrival. He soon looked at the plate with dry bread.
Slobber Tooth drooled once he spotted the dry bread and ate it all in one gulp, including the plate. "Mmm, Dis is delicious! It's very tough and rocky." Slobber Tooth said with a full mouth.
"Slobber, don't talk with your mouth full." Chill scolded the Turtle Dragon for talking with food in his mouth.
"Sorry, dey make 'em so delicious, just like microphones." Slobber said with an apologetic look, before he crunched whatever remains of the dry bread and plate there was left in his mouth.
"Hey, Chill can you get something for me to eat, preferably something that I can eat, and make sure to take Slobber Tooth with you to look less inconspicuous." Yu asked Chill to get him something better to eat and to take Slobber Tooth with her so he could eat the remains of the other student's breakfast like a walking dumpster.
Later in the day...
We soon see Yu, Slobber Tooth, and Chill follow behind Louise as Yu was eating some better cooked bread that some student didn't want to eat. Slobber Tooth was eating some plates that he snatched before leaving the dining hall.
"Normally, the familiars wait outside during a meal until their Masters are finished." Louise said, clearly not happy that her Familiar had used his Skylanders to get himself some bread of nobility, though she couldn't help but be internally impressed by how he had done it.
Unfortunately, Slobber Tooth had nearly eaten every single plate that he could get his mouth on in the dining hall. Now THAT had made her mad.
"I had made a special expecting for you to let you stay." Louise tells Yu that she had made an exception to let him stay in the dining hall.
"You know I would've have actually WANTED to wait outside, at least then I could understand my situation." Yu said with a roll of his eyes, though he was being serious.
Yu then noticed a bunch of students outside sitting at white round tables in white chairs, each of them with their own familiars.
"Hey, what's going on there?" Yu asked, wondering what was going on.
"Is it second Breakfast, oooh, I hope I get to eat alot more plates this time around." Slobber Tooth said as he licked his chops.
"Slobber, nearly everything is second breakfast to you." The Water Skylander said with a roll of her icy blue eyes.
"No, it's not second breakfast, Second-Year students have the day off today. We're suppose to communicate with our freshly-summoned familiars." Louise explained what the other second-year student's were doing.
'Hey, is it just me or do some of those animals seem familiar? Like I think I saw some Missing Posters back in California.' Yu wondered as he was sure that he had seen some Missing Posters for those animals.
"I think we may have to skip that part." Yu said with an uneasy expression. "You and me don't see eye-to-eye at the moment."
Louise hummed in agreement.
"Oh?" A sultry voice called out from behind Yu, Slobber Tooth, Chill and Louise as they all turned around and were met face to face with a red reptilian face with large yellow eyes.
Yu let out a surprised scream as Chill instantly got in front of Yu and pointed her ice lance at the Salamander with the burning tail. Slobber looked at the reptile with intrigue as he slurped up from drool coming down the sides of his lips.
"Aww, it's like a baby Fire Viper, but red, has four legs, and is less evil lookin'. Can I eat it?" Slobber Tooth asked Kirche if she could eat her Flame Salamander with a dopey grin on his face. She looked at the Turtle Dragon with confusion and surprise, the latter more so on that Slobber could speak.
"Ignore him, he's just hungry... a lot." Yu said putting his hand over Slobber's mouth. "So what is this thing?"
"Is this your first time seeing a salamander." Kirche questioned
"Uh, not ones that big, or with a burning tail." Yu sheepishly said as he rubbed his wild black hair nervously as the Salamander cleaned it's eye with it's tongue. "And speaking of it's tail, wouldn't that thing be a fire hazard here?"
"He's perfectly safe." Kirche told Yu that her Salamander was safe. "Under the contact, familiar's obey every order from their Master and they never try to run away. Right, Flame?"
Flame flicked his tail back and forth as he grinned.
"Well, looks like I didn't get the memo." Yu joked with a chuckle. "Besides I didn't mean to run away, I just walked out of her room and didn't want anyone to bother me while I cleared my head last night." He explained the situation.
"Why don't both of you shut up!" Louise shouted not wanting to hear how much control Kirche has with her familiar.
Kirche then stood up and crossed her arms under her breasts and gave a smirk to Louise. "You know, I think you just grabbed some peasant boy off the streets nearby and pretended to summon him. You covered up your lie well with that explosion."
That was when Chill soon aimed her ice lance at Kirche's throat, eye glaring at the red haired seductress. Whilst Slobber Tooth growled and raised his clubbed tail and began to twirl it back and forth.
"You better take those words back, miss. I will not hesitate to pierce you in your throat where you stand." Chill said in a cold tone.
"And don't think I won't hurt ya." Slobber Tooth threatened the fire mage with a growl.
"That's not true! And I'll have you know Kirche, that my familiar is more than a peasant boy." Louise bragged about Yu being more than a common peasant boy.
"Your right, he's more than a peasant boy, he's the familiar of 'Louise the Zero'. Hahahaha." Kirche soon gave a hearty laugh before walking off with Flame following behind her.
"What is her major malfunction!" Louise growled as she shook her fist. She then turned to Yu, and directed her anger at him. "Don't just stand there, bring me tea!" Before walking off.
Yu just gave a defeated sigh before he walked off, trying to find a place where he could rest for the time being, before he quietly returned Slobber Tooth and Chill.
Later on, we see Yu walking through the students with their summoned familiars. He soon stops as he notices a floating purple-skinned eye looking right at him, but he doesn't seemed phased by this.
"Well hello there, little guy. What's you're name?" Yu questioned the floating eye. 'It kind of reminds me of a mini Occulous from Darklight Crypt.' Yu thought as he reminisced about the giant eyeball that hated pies for some reason.
Soon the floating eye floats closer to Yu, causing him to take a few steps back and accidentally bump into a maid with short black hair and blue eyes.
The two soon fell to the floor as the floating eye returned to it's summoner. Yu rubbed his head as he winced in pain for a bit.
Yu soon noticed the maid he was sitting on and quickly got up. "Oops, sorry about that! I didn't mean to bump into you." Yu said as he quickly helped to pick her up.
"It's okay, I'm fine, really." The maid told Yu that she was okay.
"Are you sure, I don't want to be the cause of any injuries." Yu said as he helped the maid pick up her things. The two soon noticed the cake wedge on the floor and both went to pick it up.
"Oh, I'm sorry." The maid apologized to Yu as she pulled her hand back, noting how warm his hand felt on top of hers.
"No, No it's okay. Here, let me." Yu said as he picked up the corn bread and placed it onto her tray.
That was when the maid noticed the markings on the back of Yu's hand as he placed the cake on the plate.
"Oh, um, you wouldn't happen to be the one summoned by Miss Vallière and became her familiar?" The Maid asked Yu if he was Louise's familiar.
"Yeah, unfortunately, I am. You would not believe how bossy she can be." Yu said with a roll of his eyes at Louise's bossiness. "So it seems you have heard of me, or at least I'm guessing what you heard, correct?"
"It's the only thing everybody's talking about. A peasant getting summoned as a familiar is unheard of." The Maid revealed that since his summoning, Yu had been the talk of the institution.
"Well, I wouldn't call myself just any old peasant, really." Yu said as he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "Besides I don't really understand this nobility and peasant business, I mean, we're all just people at the end of the day, right?"
"Those who can use magic are nobility. And all those that can't, are just peasants." The Maid revealed how the system of nobility worked in this world to Yu.
"Huh? So that's what they mean here. So does that make you a mage here as well?" Yu questioned with a friendly grin if the maid before him could use magic.
"Oh, no. Not at all." The Maid said revealing that she is actually a commoner. "My name is Siesta and I have the honor and privilege of serving nobility." The Maid, now named Siesta, revealed her name to Yu.
"Well it's very nice to meet you Siesta, I'm Yu. Yu Hiro." Yu introduced himself to Siesta. He then held out his hand, waiting for a friendly handshake from Siesta.
"Yu Hiro?" Siesta slowly repeated Yu's name. "That's a very strange name."
"I know, you wouldn't believe the high expectations my parents had for me growing up." Yu told Siesta that his parents had high expectations of him. The two gave light hearted chuckles at that.
"Hey!" A voice called out, grabbing Yu's and Siesta's attention from one another as they turned to see Guiche with his giant mole on his lap sitting next to Montmorency.
"Are you going to bring me my cake?" Guiche called out to Siesta.
'It's that guy from last night. And it seems he's with another lady.' Yu thought as he glared at the Earth Mage.
"Oh, coming right up." Siesta said as she was about to leave and deliver Guiche his cake.
"Hold on, let me do it, Siesta. It's the least I can do." Yu said as he gently took the plate with the dirt and grass-filled cake off of Siesta's hands. But internally, he was pissed off at Guiche as he remembered him tossing him around in the air. 'This outta be good enough for that stuck-up snob.'
With Guiche and Montmorency, the two were chatting with one another. All the while, Guiche was petting his Mole on the head where it's familiar markings rested.
"You know, I spent the entire night conversing with Verdante here." Guiche said petting Verdante the Mole on it's head.
"Oh, really? All night. Wow." Montmorency said not impressed. In Montmorency's hand, was a small orange frog with brown spots on it's back named Robin.
"Oh yes. Those intelligent eyes the sensual texture of his scales. I know deep down that he was destined to become my familiar." Guiche bragged about Verdante to Montmorency.
"Yeah, well. Do me a favor and keep it buried when your with me." Montmorency told Guiche to keep his mole underground.
Yu soon arrived at Guiche and Montmorency's table with the dirt and grass covered cake.
"Good. Now go and bring us more tea. Ah-ha." Guiche told the staff member to fetch the two of them more tea. "You're familiar is so very cute, just like you are."
"Thanks, you're flattering as always." Montmorency said happy to hear Guiche's compliment.
"That may be, but I would never lie to your beautiful eyes." Guiche told his girlfriend that he would never lie to her.
"So you say, but I've heard rumors that you have recently gone out with a first-year student." Montmorency told her boyfriend that she has heard rumors about him.
"That's nonsense, there's absolutely nothing..." Guiche stated that there was nothing going on.
"Hiding behind my feelings for you, isn't that right, Lover Boy?" Yu suddenly said what he overheard Guiche said last night. This caused Guiche and Montmorency to turn and look at the leaving Yu.
"Wha-What the hell?" Guiche said surprised that someone was able to finish his sentence, like they somehow knew him for a very long time.
"Oh, I get it now." Yu said as he turned around, a fist in the palm of his hands, and a devilish grin on his face as his eyes and shirt turned a pitch black color, whilst his pupils turned a shining white. "The mantle colors are different all the different grades, he's in black. So that means last night girl in brown was a first-year, am I correct?"
"What's he talking about, Guiche?" Montmorency questioned her boyfriend as sweat dropped from his face.
"Hurry up and get back to your duties, waiter." Guiche told Yu wanting this peasant to leave before trouble began to brew.
"Sorry about that, but I'm not a waiter, Lover Boy." Yu said with a hand on his hip and a cheeky grin on his face.
"Wait a second, you're the peasant boy 'Louise the Zero' summoned yesterday, aren't you?" Guiche soon recognized who this peasant boy was.
"Yeah, about last night, thanks. See ya!" Yu said as he walked off with an evil grin. 'And now for the chaos to be ensued.'
"Now, Guiche, what was that all about?" Montmorency questioned her boyfriend.
"Uh, I-I told you, I had to tend to my familiar last night!" Guiche told his lie about tending to his familiar.
And as Yu was walking away, and Guiche was looking between his girlfriend and Yu, he soon quickly noticed an on-coming Katie approaching Yu, and she looked to be trying to find someone.
This freaked Guiche the Brass out very much.
"Montmorency listen, this place is too rowdy. Let's talk over under that tree." Guiche said as he quickly grabbed his girlfriend's hand and began to pull her away to a tree nearby. "Hurry, come on!"
"Wait, what is wrong with you?" Montmorency questioned, very confused.
All the while, Verdante was happily waving at the leaving Yu and the approaching Katie.
With Katie, we see her walking past the tables trying to find Guiche, in her hands was a white basket.
"Lord Guiche? Where are you?" Katie wondered where Guiche had gone. She then noticed Yu approaching her. "Excuse me, can you tell me where Lord Guiche is?" She politely asked Yu.
"Sure, last I checked he was right over there walking with some blonde girl. And word of warning, don't be afraid to use all your strength when you find out." Yu told Katie as he pointed to where Guiche was, confusing her greatly as she wondered what he meant.
She looked at Yu, confused before leaning over his shoulder and spotting Guiche. "Oh, Lord Guiche there you are!" She soon raced towards him with a smile on her face.
'Oh, this is going to be great. Not for Katie at least, and definitely not for Douche. I'll have to comfort her when this is all over.' Yu thought as he stared at Katie racing towards Guiche, feeling very sorry for the soon-to-be heartbroken girl.
"I've been looking for you all day, Guiche. I brought my home-made soufflé for the tea party. You know, the one you and I talked about last night. Before I... ran away screaming." Katie said as she soon blushed as she remembered that embarrassing incident.
"O-Oh well, I've been meaning to ask why did you do that?" Guiche nearly stuttered as sweat dripped down his head.
"Last night?" The woman next to Guiche said with a raised eyebrow. "I thought you were tending to Verdante?"
Guiche flinched at the feminine voice that did not belong to the first-year. He turned to see Montmorency staring at him and Katie, specifically him, with suspiciously narrowed eyes.
"Huh?" Katie blinked confused, only now noticing the presence of the second blonde. "Oh! I'm so sorry, Miss Montmorency, I didn't realize Sir Guiche was with his friend. I wasn't intruding was I?"
"His 'friend'?" Montmorency half-shouted, ignoring the question. Her glare grew harder as she glared harder at Guiche. "What do you mean by 'friend?' What does she mean by 'friend', Guiche!?"
"W-Well, you see what I meant was..."
"Too good for you!" Yu said, interrupting Guiche again. "If I remember correctly, I think you said, "I would love to try your soufflé'."
"WHAT?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Guiche screamed out, having lost his romantic suave voice in turn for a terrified voice.
"Oh, not much, Lover Boy. Just telling them the truth." Yu said with a sinister grin.
"Guiche, what is the meaning of this?!" Montmorency questioned what was happening right now and she wanted answers.
"I-I don't know what your spouting, peasant. You are going to create a needless misunderstanding with these two lovely ladies." Guiche told, trying to get Yu as far away from this as possible.
"What's going on?" A student asked having heard the commotion.
"It seems that Guiche is picking a fight with Louise's peasant familiar." Another student said.
"Fact is, you have two girls here before you, both of which you hid from the other. Both of which wanting to know the truth. Both of which seeming to have some form of affection for you. And yet you still won't say anything? It's almost like you're trying to hide something from them," Yu tilted his head in a curious manner. "In fact…"
Guiche panicked. "W-Wait a sec-"
"If I didn't know any better, I would think that you were almost…two-timing them."
"Two-timing?!" Katie cried out that Guiche had done such a thing to her, tears where now starting to leak from her eyes.
"So there really IS something going on with this first-year?!" Montmorency said before she growled in anger.
"Please, Montmorency." Guiche said, trying to calm his second-year girlfriend down. "Do not contort your face one that is as beautiful as a rose from mere anger. This is all a misunderstanding."
"Oh, how could you! You told me that I was the only one for you!" Katie announced tears now leaking from her eyes at Guiche's betrayal.
"Both of you please calm down, I can explain!" Guiche tried to reason his explanation for saying two girls at the same time.
Katie soon understood what Yu had meant when he said that she should not be afraid to use all her strength when she found out.
"You're nothing but a BIG LIAR!!!" Katie and Montmorency both shouted as they both slapped Guiche across the face.
Guiche landed hard on his ass as both his facial cheeks now sported a pair of bright red handprints. All around laughter broke the air from every noble and servant who watched the event unfold before them, while the two girls caught in the event took off in opposite directions and emotions. One in fury, and the other in tears.
"You just got dumped, Guiche!"
"He totally deserved it too for two-timing!"
"Hahaha, that was so worth watching!"
Yu felt a proud smile creep onto his face for his small victory over the two-timing earth mage.
'Still…' Yu's smile faded into a guilty frown as he looked over in the direction Katie ran off. He knew full well how bad the girl would be hurt upon discovering the truth, but it was better that she find out now rather than have her heart shattered later on because of this idiot's actions. Even so he knew he should at least apologize to for his involvement in this event since he probably made the situation even worse than it already was.
"Stop right there."
Before Yu could follow after the first-year, the voice of Guiche called out to him. He calmly turned his head towards the blonde, who now stood back up onto his feet and bared a look of anger on his face. The Portal Master was not fazed in the slightest bit.
"It seems to me that you do not know how to pay the proper respect to nobility." Guiche said, anger slowly seething through his teeth.
"Yeah well, here's the thing about respect. It's earned, not given." Yu told Guiche that respect was earned, not handed out on a silver platter.
"Is that so?" Guiche inquired as he rubbed his face with a handkerchief, trying ever so hard to ignore the stinging pain in his cheeks. He then pocketed the woven material away only to withdraw a rose in its place. "It seems you are lacking in a few lessons then, though that could be easily rectified. But first, how do you plan to apologize for this atrocity?"
Yu just stared at noble as if he had grown a second head. "Apologize?"
"Indeed!" Guiche declared pointing the rose directly at Yu. "You are a mere commoner, and a familiar spirit at that! And yet you dared to insult me, and above all, thoughtlessly damaged the reputation of two ladies and made them cry! How do you plan to answer for this?"
Yu scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Cry? Last I checked they were more pissed than sad. Besides, wasn't it you who two-timed them? I'm pretty sure that makes everything your fault in the end."
"He's right Guiche!"
"Yeah, take responsibility!"
More laughter broke out causing Guiche to grit his teeth in anger. His temper only grew worse when he witnessed the one who insulted him turn his back and begin walking away. "Oy! Just where do you think you're running away too, commoner? We're not done here!"
"We are." Yu didn't even bother to look back. "I'm not running anywhere. I just don't want waste my time on someone like you. Come back when you actually grow a pair."
The laughter grew louder as Guiche's fingers clenched tightly on his rose. How dare he! How dare this commoner say such things! His honor and pride were shattered, he was put on the spot before two beautiful women and had lost them both, and now this commoner dared to show his back to him and leave as if he was nothing!?
He would not take this! He would not be brought down and insulted in such a manner by some low-class wretch!
He would not be humiliated!
"I challenge you to a duel!"
At those words the crowd's laughter instantly ceased, Guiche's shout having completely changed the atmosphere of the situation. The crowd soon began whispering among themselves with shock and disbelief. A duel? With a commoner familiar? Was that even allowed? None of them had ever heard of such a thing before as duels were forbidden by the academy instructors and headmaster. But then again that was between nobles, not a noble and commoner, so many weren't sure what to think of this sudden declaration.
The only voice that was silent was Yu, who had suddenly frozen in step.
"You come here uninvited, promptly insult the honor of two lovely women, insult my own honor, and then have the nerve to walk away?" Guiche's grip on his rose tightened further as he glared at the commoner. "I will not stand for it! You will be taught a valuable lesson about the difference between nobles and commoners, and when it is over, you will be begging me for an apology!"
"A duel?" Yu said as he turned his head to look at Guiche with a raised eyebrow. 'Hmm, I could use this as a way to test my capabilities.' Yu thought long and hard about accepting Guiche's duel.
"Very well then, I accept your challenge." Yu accepted Guiche's offer to a challenge.
"Then it's settled. I won't taint this place of nobles with the blood of a commoner, so meet me at the Vestri Court in one hour! I will be waiting to teach you a proper lesson!"
And with those words spoken Guiche turned and walked off, leaving the crowd to its own excited mutters and whispering. Some people even broke off from the crowd to follow the playboy to his destination, while others left to spread word about the event. Yu didn't pay attention to any of them. He simply closed his eyes and focused on recollecting himself, but never once did he let the smirk vanish from his face.
This… this was going to be fun.
"Familiar!"
"Hiro!"
Yu's smirk instantly vanished and his eyes snapped open to the sound of two feminine voices calling out to him. Turning around he spotted the owners of the voices suddenly approaching him. The owners being two very familiar female figures.
And as he noticed the expressions on their faces, a single thought echoed through the Portal Master's mind.
'Ah, sheep.'
