Angel Bunny hurriedly ran and disappeared among the woods and then Sweetie Belle came after and stopped in the woods' secluded area, in which she'd lost track of Angel Bunny.
"Mr. Rabbit! Oh Mr. Rabbit!" Sweetie Belle called out to him. "Oh, dear. I'm sure he came this way."
Unbeknownst to Sweetie Belle, two tiny burgee flags are seen behind the bushes. The flags then move up, which are in fact attached to two hats that are worn by none other than the Flim Flam brothers, who are spying on Sweetie Belle.
"Do you suppose he could be hiding?" said Sweetie Belle.
The Flim Flam brothers — who are short and stout — moved sideways out of the bushes as Sweetie Belle looked behind a tree, searching for Angel Bunny.
"Hmm..." Sweetie Belle uttered and the Flim Flam brothers moved pass behind the tree once she had turned around. "Not here."
Sweetie Belle notices a log in front of her and she went down on her knees and looked through it.
"I wonder..." she said and she crawled through the log, much to the Flim Flam brothers' confusion as they look at each other.
The brothers skipped sideways along the top of the log and they landed in front of the log's other end on either side, standing stiffly like statues. Sweetie Belle crawled out of the log and she stood back up.
"No," Sweetie Belle said and she dusted herself. "I suppose he must have-"
Sweetie Belle gasped in surprise when she saw the Flim Flam brothers standing before her.
"Why...what peculiar little figures," she said and she noticed the brothers' names on their collars. "'Tweedle-Flim'...and 'Tweedle-Flam'."
Sweetie Belle poked Flam's belly which made him emit a squeaky honk sound.
"If you think we're waxworks, you ought to pay, you know," said Flam and then he nudged Flim, who had emitted the same sound as Flam.
"Contrariwise, if you think we're alive, you ought to speak to us," Flim said and he nudged back at Flam and Flam nudged back at Flim again.
The brothers leapt up on top of the log and they began hopping and bumping onto each other emitting squeaky honks and then they leapt down from the log.
"That's logic," the Flim Flam brothers said.
"Well," said Sweetie Belle and she curtsied. "It's been nice meeting you...goodbye."
Sweetie Belle begins to walk off but the Flim Flam brothers blocked her way.
"You're beginning backwards," said Flim and then Flam crossed his body in front of him.
"Aye. The first thing in a visit is to say... How do you do and shake hands, shake hands, shake hands; how do you do and shake hands, and state your name and business," the Flim Flam brothers sang as they swung and flailed Sweetie Belle about, causing her to fall on the ground. "That's manners."
"Really?" said Sweetie Belle and she stood up from the ground. "Well, my name is Sweetie Belle, and I'm following a white rabbit, so-"
"You can't go yet," said Flim as he and Flam hindered Sweetie Belle again.
"No, the visit has just started," said Flam.
"I'm very sorry," Sweetie Belle uneagerly said.
"Would you like to play hide-and-seek?" asked Flam as he and Flim cloned themselves in various areas of the woods and then the two fused their bodies together like conjoined twins.
"Or 'button, button, who's got the button'?" asked Flim.
"No thank you," Sweetie Belle said.
"If you stay long enough we might have a battle," said Flim and he and Flam began punching and bopping each other's heads while jumping up and down.
"That's very kind of you, but I must be going," said Sweetie Belle as she shoved through the brothers like double gates.
"Why?" asked the Flim Flam brothers as they hindered Sweetie Belle, resting their hands on both trees on either side.
"Because I'm following a white rabbit," Sweetie Belle answered and she began to go another direction, but the Flim Flam brothers kept blocking her way.
"Why?" the brothers asked again.
"Well...I-I-I'm curious to know where he's going," Sweetie Belle said and she walked off.
"Ohhhhh, she's curious," said Flam and then he and Flim shook their heads with pity while clicking their tongues.
"The oysters were curious too, weren't they?" Flim whispered to Flam as Sweetie Belle stopped and looked back, overhearing the brothers' conversation.
"Aye. And you remember what happened to them..." Flam said as Sweetie Belle returned back to the brothers, feeling curious.
"Poor things!" the Flim Flam brothers sobbed as they took off their hats and mourned.
"Why? What DID happened to the oysters?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Oh, you wouldn't be interested," said Flim as he and Flam started walking, twirling their hats on their forefingers.
"But I am," Sweetie Belle convinced.
"Ohhh, no, you're in much too much in a hurry," said Flam.
"Perhaps I COULD spare a little time," Sweetie Belle said.
"You could?!" the Flim Flam brothers questioned happily. "Well...!"
The brothers settled Sweetie Belle on the log and they stood before her in a spatial area.
"'The Walrus and the Carpenter'!" Flim announced and he nudged Flam.
"Or...'The Story of the Curious Oysters'!" Flam announced as well and he nudged back at Flim.
The Flim Flam brothers start off with a dance as they emit squeaky honks.
(Flim) The sun was shining on the sea
Shining with all its might
(Flam) He did his very best to make
The billows smooth and bright
(The scene fades to the sky with one half in the daytime, with Flam's face in the sun, and the other half at night, with Flim's face in the moon.)
(Flim) And this was odd because it was...
(Flim/Flam) The middle of the night
Coming out from behind a boulder on the beach, are the MLP/EG-styled versions of the walrus and the carpenter. They are strolling along the shoreline nonchalantly with one arm behind their backs as the walrus swings his cane around and the carpenter twirling his hammer around.
(Flim) The walrus and the carpenter
Were walking close at hand
The beach was white from side to side
But much too full of sand
'Mr. Walrus!', said the carpenter
'My brain begins to perk
We'll sweep this clear in half a year
If you don't mind the work'
"Work?!" the walrus exclaimed incredulously and he cleared his throat. "The time has come!"
"The walrus said," came Flim's voice-over as the walrus winked at the fourth wall.
(Walrus) To talk of others things
Of shoes and ships and sealing wax
And cabbages and kings
And why the sea is boiling hot
And whether pigs have wings
Calloo, callay, no work today!
We're cabbages and kiiiings!
After the walrus forcefully pried the carpenter out of the sandy mound with his own hammer, which sent him and the hammer flying through the air, the carpenter falls head first right in-between a gap near the edge of a small, cliffy rock platform that's on the edge of the sea and then the hammer came after and pounded him on the tushy like a nail, with his head submerged into the water. The carpenter looked down at the ocean floor and saw, to his delight, some oysters — a mother and her little ones — who had closed their shells in fright when they saw the carpenter. The carpenter pulled his head out of the gap and he whistled over at the walrus, giving his attention to him and he continued on whistling while pointing down at the water with excitement, telling him that there are oysters living underwater and then he let out wolf-whistle as he rubs his belly, implying that they are good to eat. The walrus became astonished over the nourishment followed by licking his lips. The carpenter was about to go down into the water with his hammer raised, intending to crack the oysters, but the walrus pulled him away with his cane like a Vaudeville hook and he whacked him on the head with it. The walrus wagged his extended thumb, forefinger, and pinkie at the carpenter with disapproval and he began to walk casually down underneath the water while swinging his cane around, approaching the oysters. The oysters opened their shells but then they immediately closed them once they saw the walrus near them. The walrus taps his cane on one of the baby oysters, then another.
"Oh, uh, oysters, come and walk with us, the day is warm and bright," the walrus said as he tipped his hat. "A pleasant walk, a pleasant talk, would be a sheer delight."
"Yes, and should we get 'ungry on the way...we'll stop and uh...have a bite," said the carpenter as he protruded his upper body down into the water.
Indignant, the walrus cleared his throat and he starts hitting the carpenter on the head and under his chin with his cane.
"But mother oyster winked her eye, and shook her heavy head," came Flam's voice-over. "She knew too well this was no time to leave her oyster bed."
"The sea's nice...take my advice...and stay right here."
"Mom said," said Flam.
"Yes, yes, of course, of course, but, uh, hahaaaa," said the walrus as he closed the mother oyster's shell with his cane and then he focused on the baby oysters.
The time has come, my little friends
To talk of other things
Of shoes and ships and sealing wax
And cabbages and kings
And why the sea is boiling hot
And, uh, whether pigs have wings
Calloo, callay, come run awaaaay!
We're the cabbages and kings!
In the style of the Pied Piper, the walrus used his cane to play it like a flute as he skipped off merrily and the baby oysters leapt from their shells following the walrus in a single file line. The walrus lead the oysters out of the water while the carpenter gathers up the shattered remains of a boat of some sort that are scattered on the shore. The baby oysters are skipping merrily as the walrus endures guiding them, all the while the carpenter is building a small diner out of the boat's remains in an extremely rapid pace. Once the makeshift diner has been built, complete with a fish sign that says "Fish Dinners", the carpenter opened the door as the walrus escorts the oysters inside. The carpenter shoves the last few oysters at the end inside and he closed the door.
Inside, the walrus and the baby oysters are sitting at a table as the walrus ties a cloth around his neck.
"Well now, uh, let me see..." the walrus said as he looked at the baby oysters cunningly and the carpenter lunged into the chair on the other end of the table holding up the fork and knife, eager to partake on the oysters.
"Aah, a loaf of bread is what we chiefly need."
After hearing the walrus' requirement, the carpenter ran inside the kitchen through the double swinging doors. The walrus held two of the baby oysters in his hand, intending to gobble them up.
"'Ow 'bout some pepper and salt and vinegar, ey?" the carpenter asked the walrus as he unexpectedly protruded from the kitchen doorway and the walrus frantically grabbed the menu from the table holding it up to the side of his face, acting as if nothing happened.
"Well, yes yes, splendid idea, ha-ha! Very good indeed," the walrus said and the carpenter dove back into the kitchen.
"Now...if you're ready...oysters dear..." said the walrus and he rubbed his hands together, chuckling sinisterly. "We can begin the feed."
"Feed?!" the baby oysters exclaimed as they looked at the menu with a card attached to it that says "Special Today: OYSTERS on the half shell".
"Ohh, yes!" the walrus said and he gathered up the baby oysters with his hands.
The time has come, my little friends
To talk of food of things
(Carpenter) Of peppercorn, some mustard seed
And other seasonings
We'll mix it all together
In a sauce that's fit for kings
Calloo, callay, we'll eat todaaaaay!
Liiike cabbages aaand kings
The carpenter trotted merrily out of the kitchen as he held the platter of bread slices and a bowl of broth, along with a jug balanced on his head, and he sets the bread slices and broth on the table.
The walrus is wiping the tears from his eyes with a handkerchief. "I, uh... I-I weep for you, I- *hic* Oh, excuse me. I deeply sympathize. For I'd enjoyed your company, oh-hoh-hoh, much more than you realize."
"Little oysters! Little oysters!" the carpenter called out to them as he held up the fork and knife.
"But answer there came none," came Flim's voice-over as the carpenter searches for the baby oysters. "And this was scarcely odd because... They've been eaten! Every one!" the Flim Flam brothers said in unison once the carpenter had found the eatened oysters; with their shells piled on the table.
The walrus, who obviously had eaten the baby oysters, grabbed his cane from the rack as he slowly starts to walk away, chuckling nervously. The carpenter, who is enraged with anger with his face turning red, advances towards the walrus with his hammer held in his hand, intending to pound him for what he had done.
"The time has come!" the walrus shouted and he crashed through the door, leaving a body-shaped hole.
The carpenter chased the walrus along the shoreline back to where they came from.
(Flim/Flam) We're cabb-a-ges, aaand kiiiiiings!
"The end."
"That was very sad story," Sweetie Belle said as she shook her head with pity.
"Eh... And there's a moral to it," said the Flim Flam brothers.
"Oh, yes, and a very good moral; if you happen to be an oyster," said Sweetie Belle. "Well, it's been a very nice visit-"
"Another recitation!" said the Flim Flam brothers as they settled Sweetie Belle back down on the log.
"I'm sorry, but-"
"It's titled 'Father William'!" the Flim Flam brothers announced.
"But really, I'm-"
"First verse..." Flam began and Flim whips out a crooked walking stick, pretending to be an old person.
'You are old Father William', the young man said
'And your hair has become very white
And yet you incessantly stand on your head
Do you think at your age it is right—is right
Do you think at your age it is right?'
Tired of listening to the Flim Flam brothers' recitation, Sweetie Belle strolls off into the woods on the other side of the log while the brothers carried on with their performance.
'Well... In me youth', Father William replied to his son
'I'd do it again and again and again
And I'd done it again and again and again...'
