This is Part III of the Labor Day Special. Last time, Blaze wrote an entry about the frustrations of early Year 3 in this war. But just as the frustration built to a point, Batman arrived and revealed some crucial information. That being, where Darkblood is sending the corrupted Doctor Fate. Big surprise, he's heading straight for Atlantis to get his revenge on Aquaman. Blaze and company set out immediately. But will they arrive in time to save Fate, or will he and Atlantis be destroyed? Read on to at least start discovering...

(Our scene picks up not in Atlantis, but rather in Kahndaq, where it seems the Regime has received the news about Peacemaker, as evidenced by Wonder Woman holding what remains of his helmet, as Punk apparently sent it to them.)

Wonder Woman: Peacemaker was a loyal soldier through and through.

Cyborg: Sure, he may have been a bit of an asshole, but his dedication to peace was exactly what we needed.

Black Adam: He will not go unavenged.

Superman: Of that much we can be certain. (To Wonder Woman) How did this come to us?

Wonder Woman: Posted to a Regime loyalist base. They sent it to us immediately.

Superman: Do we know who was responsible?

Wonder Woman: All people saw was an explosion. But somehow, only Peacemaker's head was destroyed, the rest of him was intact. It was too precise to be a bomb.

Robin: Unless it's the Human Bomb. We never did find out what happened to him.

Wonder Woman: There was no trace of radiation at the scene.

Superman: Not like Uncle Sam would be dumb enough to send one of his lackeys after us.

Cyborg: Sounds like a metahuman, for certain.

Wonder Woman: One who can control explosions? That should certainly narrow it down.

Cyborg: If they're in our database, I should be able to find them.

Superman: Do it.

(As these five members of the Regime discuss, a messenger clad in Atlantean armor comes running into the scene)

Wonder Woman: (Seeing the interruption) What is the meaning of this?!

Messenger: (Slightly out of breath) An urgent message from the King of Atlantis. Atlantis is under attack by a dragon and Doctor Fate.

Black Adam: Fate? With one of the dragons? Highly unusual, given their history.

Superman: It wasn't Blaze. Even she's not dumb enough to attack Atlantis. (To the messenger) Was it a Purple Dragon? With black markings?

Messenger: Yes.

Robin: It's the new one.

Superman: No, as far as I knew Darkblood would have no reason to go after Atlantis. (Puts it together) Unless...

Wonder Woman: We're on the same brainwave, Kal.

Superman: This makes him even more dangerous than expected. We need to set out for Atlantis immediately. (To Cyborg) Don't stop searching until you've found this metahuman. The rest of us are heading to Atlantis.

(As the Regime dream team leaves Kahndaq, we focus in on the Javelin 7 as it descends into the ocean. And aboard: a dream team of the more heroic variety, consisting of Blaze, Belial Aether, Batman, Flash, Green Arrow, and, seemingly randomly, Spyro and Cynder. And Batman seems to be nervous about that.)

Blaze: You've got that look about you, Bruce. What's going on?

Batman: Not that I don't appreciate a visit from your in-laws, but what are they doing here exactly?

Blaze: For one, Spyro and Cynder aren't technically my in-laws. No matter how much I'd love them to be. But there is a reason they're here.

Green Arrow: Well do enlighten us.

Blaze: Call it testing a hypothesis.

Flash: (Looking back from the steering post) You're trying to see if there's any of Dragnarok left in Darkblood.

Blaze: There has to be. And if I'm not able to bring it out, maybe the combination of me and his parents will do it.

Belial Aether: It's worth a shot at least.

Spyro: If there's any chance to pull our son out of that monster, you know we'd take it in a heartbeat.

Cynder: And besides, I owe Aquaman a slashed tendon. I still walk with a limp because of that bastard's trident.

Spyro: Trust me, my love, we've all got a score to settle with Aquaman.

Batman: Then we'll all get our blows in soon. We're almost there.

Flash: (Steering them towards Atlantis) And it's not looking good.

(And sure enough, looking out on Atlantis right now, things definitely are not going well. Darkblood and the corrupted Doctor Fate have blazed a trail of destruction across the underwater city. The destruction right now is probably only matched by when it sunk beneath the waves initially. And the path of destruction blazes in one clear direction)

Blaze: Ten to one, Darkblood and Fate are headed for the palace.

Green Arrow: Pretty solid bet.

Batman: Then that's where we're headed.

Blaze: Let's do this, and hopefully we'll get this done before...

(But just as she says that, a crack of thunder can be heard despite being underwater)

Blaze: Never mind.

Spyro: That can only mean one thing.

Cynder: The Regime's already here.

Belial Aether: No doubt Aquaman called for help.

Blaze: Tiem to get in there. Let's go.

(As the Javelin 7 closes in on the palace, our scene ends for today)

This concludes Part III of the Labor Day special. For the Finale, head over to the Dissidia Final Fantasy Intros. So, the Regime and our heroes are about to intersect with Darkblood in the kingdom of Aquaman, arguably the man responsible for Darkblood's existence. There's really only one way this can end, and it's most likely in disaster. I'll say this, it's certainly going to be an interesting series of interactions once everybody arrives. But for more specifics on all of that, tune in next time! Same time... same channel!
