[VESSEL UNKNOWN, Somewhere in Mutter's Spiral

The Doctor, having just sorted out the Rani once more, ended up on a ship in the future. Reading the monitor to see where the TARDIS crew were, she noticed something. "Jessica. Khaldun" she said, "Look at this."

"What is it, Doctor?" Khaldun replied.

"We are on a Cyberman ship."

"Oh cool." Jessica responded, "Are these like people who were turned into machines?"

"Almost hit the nail on the head there, Jessica!"

"Well, when you said Cyberman, I thought it meant "cybernetic human," as in humans that were turned into robots."

"Not just that, Jessica. These are machines that are stripped of all emotion, turned into mechanical people who think completely logically."

"And logic can end up looking no different than cruelty."

"Precisely, Abdurahman. So, if the TARDIS sent me here, what's the issue?"

"Well, let's find out, Doc."

The trio got out of the TARDIS and ended up being surrounded by Cybermen, blasters pointed at the group and ready to fire. "Oh, this again." the Doctor remarked.

"Are you the Doctor?" One Cyberman asked.

"It just so happens that I am."

"You will cease your sarcasm at once." The Cybermen put down their blasters. "We need your help, Doctor."

The Doctor was confused. "What use would I be to you? After all, we're not exactly in the best of terms."

"One of the holding cells on this ship has been breached."

"Then this must be a prison ship. Always fun to go through one of them. I'm still suspicious about you all, though."

"If we were intending to have you imprisoned or deleted, we would have done it by now."

"Considering the amount of time you lost against me, I doubt it. Which cell has been breached?"

"Follow us. Bring your companions."

The Doctor, Jessica, and Khaldun all followed the Cybermen through the corridors strewn with holding cells containing malfunctioning Cybermen and people who were suffering. "Jesus Christ." Jessica said.

"That's the thing with Cybermen prison ships." the Doctor replied, "The people are being sent to be converted and the malfunctioning Cybermen are doomed to become scrap because they broke down."

"This is the cell in question." A Cyberman said after stopping at the end of the corridor, which had a holding cell that contained an old man that was slightly buff. He was smirking when the party showed up. "This is a Time Lord, Doctor."

"Doctor?" the old man responded before looking at Khaldun, "I haven't seen you in a long time."

"Oh, I'm not the Doctor." Khaldun replied, "The woman next to me with the shawl is the Doctor."

The old man turned his eyes towards the Doctor. "So you're a woman now?"

"Not for the first time. I can tell you're cursed with an American accent as well. So, who are you? The Rani again? The Master? Jelpax?"

"He calls himself Magnus."

The Doctor turned to the Cyberman. "Ah, the War Chief." She turned back to Magnus. "Sorry for not recognising him. The last time I saw him, he was a literal two-faced nazi. He's the one who breached this cell?"

"He is. He appeared from a chest that was not there before."

"Well, I've been sent by the Time Lords to infiltrate this ship. I didn't anticipate I would land my TARDIS in a prison cell."

"Wait, you've not only been sent by the Time Lords, who are all dead, but you were also accepted back into Time Lord society."

Magnus lost his smile. "The Time Lords are dead? I was only asked to infiltrate a few days ago."

"Our old school friend massacred them all."

"So me proving myself to be trustworthy to my kind, all this effort to redeem myself for the things I have done, all of it was for nothing?"

"Apparently, I was part of an effort to stop the Time Lords from being rendered extinct. I do know that I help the Shobogans get to Ur sometime in this incarnation's future."

"Huh. Timelines are weird that way."

"Well, youarean intruder on this ship, so why infiltrate it?"

"There's a piece of jewellery I have been tasked to find: A pendant that contains the Cyberium."

"The Cyberium is to remain untouched."

"Well, I've been told that it could change the tide of history. I'm just going to get that pendant, go back to Gallifrey, and then return here with the pendant full of the Cyberium. Deal?"

The Cybermen looked at each other before one looked back at Magnus and opened the door. "We shall take you to the pendant."

"Thank you." Magnus walked out of his cell and got beside the Doctor. "Let's move."

On their way to the cockpit, the Doctor decided to have a conversation with Magnus. "What did you do to get the Time Lords to no longer consider you a renegade?" the Doctor asked.

"Saved the Lord President during the Last Great Time War." Magnus answered, "At the cost of one of my regenerations, I managed to stop Rassilon from being Swiss cheese. I'm wondering: how is Ushas?"

"She's known as "the Rani" now, and had gone full mad scientist. Experimented on me for a decade."

"That's rough. Now, the pendant."

"Yes. The pendant."

The group got into the cockpit, consisting of a supercomputer, several screens showing the points of view from the cameras all around the ship, and a glass box containing the pendant that Magnus was looking for. The Cybermen inputted a code and the glass box opened up. "The Cyberium pendant." the Cyberman announced.

"Thank you, good metal man." Magnus replied before walking to the box and taking the pendant, "Now, to get back to my TARDIS and take this to the Time Lords."

"This has gotten on easily." the Doctor remarked, feeling suspicious about the situation, "Too easily."

The group got all the way to Magnus' cell. "It was nice meeting you again, Doctor." Magnus said.

"I'm pleasantly surprised myself." the Doctor replied, "You had every chance to backstab me and you didn't."

"I've learned to forgive and forget. After all, I defended you when you got expelled."

"Oh, tell Jelpax about me. Maybe a little Deca reunion in the future."

"Alright, I will." As Magnus got to the TARDIS door, it was seemingly not budging. It would only do so if it was afraid. "Oh no."

"What is it, Magnus?"

"Something's gotta be wrong. The doors are shut tight."

The Doctor closed her eyes and signed. "I knew this was too easy."
