"What aren't you telling me?" Alexis asked Lorenzo when they arrived home.

"I think you're going to have to be more specific counselor," Lorenzo asked, "I'm not sure what you're asking about."

"I got the distinct impression at the PCPD, you might know something about Sonny," Alexis said.

"Or disappointment that I didn't get to make him disappear," Lorenzo said, "Whether he took off on his own or someone else did it."

"Do you know how infuriating you are?" Alexis replied, heatedly.

"And here I thought that was part of my charm," Lorenzo responded.

"Did you or did you not have anything to do with Sonny disappearing?" Alexis asked, "I know how frustrated you've been at Sonny for the position he's put your niece in. Part of me can't help but wonder if…"

"Alexis, I didn't do anything to make Sonny disappear," Lorenzo said, "I didn't make arrangements or anything of the sort. Do I wish I could have.? Yes, but I know disappearing like that would hurt Kellie and Kristina."

"I feel like there's something in there, I'm missing that you're not saying," Alexis said, "But I can't figure it out and maybe I don't want to know. For everyone's sake, I hope Sonny really did just need a break and that he comes back. But if I find out otherwise and that you had something to do with it, so help me God…."

"And that's not something you have worry about," Lorenzo said.

"I'm going to hold you to that," Alexis said.

"I look forward to it," Lorenzo said.

The Next Day - Jason and Kellie's House

Kellie came downstairs to find Jason making breakfast in the kitchen and the kids settled down with a movie in the other room.

"You should have woken me," Kellie said, sitting at the breakfast bar, "I would have helped."

"I figured you could use the sleep," Jason said, putting food on plates, "The kids aren't the only ones who could use a quiet day. I told the kids they could eat breakfast while they watch their movie."

Jason turned his attention to a sauce pan on the stove and poured hot chocolate into a mug. Then he handed the mug to Kellie and then put one of the plates in front of her.

Kellie half smiled and took a sip as Jason took the kids their breakfast.

When Jason came back he sat in the chair next to Kellie who was eating some of her breakfast.

"How are you doing?" Jason asked.

"Honestly," Kellie said, "I feel like I've been through a train wreck."

"Is there anything I can do?" Jason said.

Kellie shook her head and shrugged, "I don't even know what to do right now. Part of thinks I should be reaching out to my contacts about finding Sonny. He is still my dad regardless of how I feel about interacting with him. But my mind just blanks after that. I feel like I should care more, but I just don't have it in me right now."

"Listen to me," Jason said, taking Kellie's hands, "None of this is on you. I've got this, searching for Sonny, figuring out if he actually left on his own or someone forced him. Just do what you were planning on. I'll take care of the rest."

"I'm not sure I even had a plan," Kellie said, "Other just try to get through whatever this is, knowing that Charles isn't here anymore."

"Maybe not having a plan is the best thing you can do for yourself," Jason said, "At least for now. You've been through a lot. Maybe it's time you try to relax and let me shoulder the load for a bit."

"That sounds really nice," Kellie said as Jared came into the kitchen.

"Can we have more cocoa?" Jared asked.

"Yeah," Kellie said, "Is there any more left?"

"We'll have to make some more," Jason said.

"And we want popcorn," Jared said.

"Jared, tell Mommy to come watch the movie and have cocoa with us?" Alyssa yelled from the other room.

"I'll get the popcorn and cocoa," Jason said, "You just spend time with the kids and whatever else you want to do today."

Later that day

Lorenzo sat in the car outside Kellie's house and making a phone call before coming in.

"Lorenzo, I did not expect to hear from you so soon," Maximus said.

"There are some developments that might affect whatever plans you have," Lorenzo said.

"I'm already aware," Maximus said, "You have no need to concern yourself with the details. All you need to know is everything is going to plan."

"You know that Sonny Corinthos disappeared and left a note he left town on his own?" Lorenzo asked.

"That is old news," Maximus said.

"So that is the plan?" Lorenzo asked, "Make everyone think Sonny left on his own and then?"

"You ask too many questions for someone that would prefer a lot of deniability," Maximus said, "It's being handled to ensure the least amount of blowback while letting Corinthos live. You're not having second thoughts now are you?"

"Of course not," Lorenzo said, "It's just I don't relish the idea of some of Kellie's old wounds being reopened by the Sonny leaving his family like that."

"Unfortunately, I couldn't see a way around that," Maximus sighed, "I'd hoped that as it seems Corinthos has let her down so many times, that any sense of abandonment would be minimal."

"Remains to be seen," Lorenzo said, "But when she found out at the police station last night, it looked as if it hit like that for her."

"Better that than taking over a business she wants no part of or further harm to her or her children," Maximus said.

"Agreed," Lorenzo said.

"I'll be in touch if anything comes up," Maximus said, "But I highly doubt that will be the case."

When Lorenzo finally went in the house, he found Kellie and the kids still watching movies.

Kellie moved to get up as Kelsey said, "Mommy, stay."

"I just have to talk to Uncle Lo for a bit," Kellie said, "Then I'll be right back."

Jamie took Kellie's spot next to Kelsey as Kelsey tried to follow Kellie.

"Mommy and Uncle Lo just need to have grown up talk," Jamie said, "Sometimes they have to do that."

"About the Sopranos business," Alyssa piped up.

Kellie gave Alyssa a look, "Alyssa, we've discussed this."

"She should know," Alyssa said, defiantly.

"She's too young," Kellie said, "In all honesty, all three of you shouldn't concern yourselves with…."

"But it's why we were shot at wasn't it?" Jared asked, "Why Grandpa Charles is gone?"

Kellie tried not to gasp, but still did. She steeled herself to not cry in front of the kids.

"Probably," Kellie finally said, "You don't know how much I wish that wasn't the case."

Lorenzo paused the movie as Kellie looked for her next words.

"I want nothing more than to be able to say that I could 100% ensure none of the risks, the danger associated with Grandpa Sonny's and Jason's business, would have ever be able to impact you," Kellie said, "And that everything I do to protect you would always work. But the truth is it's possible that what I do might not always work and um..."

Kellie was at a loss for words, looking at her children.

"But despite that, your mom is always going to everything she can to protect you as much as possible from that," Lorenzo said, "And hopefully one day when you're all grown up and living your own lives, their will be less risk or impact to you because of what Grandpa Sonny and Jason do for a living, what I did for a living at one time."

"But shouldn't we have more information on whatever business that means we have guards and stuff," Jamie asked, "Wouldn't more information be better."

"The information you need to stay safe, yes," Kellie said, "But the conversations regarding the business that's not information you need."

"That's information that would put you a greater risk," Lorenzo said, looking over at Kellie, "And maybe make it harder to reduce the impact on you when you grow up."

"But Kelsey needs to know some of this too," Alyssa said.

"And she will," Kellie said, "But she is still a little kid. I want her and you to be able to be kids without worrying about those things as long as possible. That means trusting me Jason, Uncle Lo, and the guards along with the other adults about what to tell you and when, okay."

The three older kids mumbled some form of what sounded like agreement, thought reluctant.

"Can we start the movie again?" Alyssa asked.

Jamie kept Kelsey distracted as Lorenzo restarted the movie before he and Kellie left the room.
