Water.

Water was surrounding him. Pouring into his lungs. Forcing him to stay deep down in the darkness.

"Newt! Anathema!" Crowley shouted, while trying to keep his head above the surface. "Where are you?!"

The storm came in the evening. Canada Square seemed to hold on in the beginning, but with hours passing by it was obvious that only a miracle would save the settlement. An angelic or a demonic one.

Shit. Swimming had never been so difficult before. He should have left as soon as he noticed dark clouds on the horizon. Then why had he stayed and tried to save them? Crowley was a DEMON. He wasn't nice, he didn't care for anyone. Was it because of the witch and her boyfriend? Was it because that during the time, which he spent in Canada Square, he suddenly felt... hope? The demon was only looking for a pub! There was no hope, but there was Maggie instead. Lonely Maggie, who lost her Nina...

Fuck, where was Maggie?!

Crowley heard a female scream a few meters away from him. It wasn't his blond friend, but with a wave of his hand, the unknown woman was put safely on one of drifting boats.

How many demonic miracles did he make in last ten minutes? Twenty? Fifty? With Heaven starting the Second Great Flood, Crowley decided to lay low and rightfully so. Most of his devil mates on Earth, who didn't put a limit on the use of paranormal powers, were quickly found by angels and... deported to Hell? Crowley hoped so, becasue no one could found those demons at 'home' and with more than seventy (definitely seventy) spells in last fifteen minutes, he was really asking himself for troubles.

"Maggie! Where are you?!" Crowley shouted desperately again, ignoring the cold of water and that he was slowing loosing his strength.

He could barely see what was happening around him and the rain wasn't helping. A lot of humans crying for help, clinging to each other and drowning together...

NO! NO MORE!

The demon raised his arms one last time.

A moment later the storm ended, the sea calmed down, the bright moon appeared on the night sky and Crowley actually felt, rather than heard, a pleasant sigh made by all people in Canada Square. But where was Maggie, Newt, Anathema and...?

"He is there! Grab him!"

The sudden light blinded him and before the demon realised what was happening, he was pulled on a white yacht and surrounded by three angels in navy uniforms.

No, too soon. He had to find his human friends(?) at first. Made sure that they were all right. He had to find poor Maggie. The devil began struggling, but the strong grip of heavenly soldiers did not waver.

"Crowley, is that you?"

In any other situation, the gentle voice would make him stop, but now... Fuck, no, he could not do it... the demon kicked his oppressor in the knee, making the angel to loose his footing, seconds later he freed himself from other angelic soldiers, pushed Aziraphale out of his way, but before Crowley managed to dive back into the water, some electric force froze him in place and then there was only the darkness.
