Princess Aria came storming through the doorway of their bedroom. The silence of the evening interrupted by the thunderous sound of the doors being pushed open. From out Jasmine and Raksha turned back to their youngest sister, who quickly shut the doors behind her.
"Jasmine! Raksha!" Aria exclaimed.
Jasmine stood up from next to Sangha, rushing into their room from the balcony.
"Aria, what's wrong?" She asked, curiously.
Aria turned to her two sisters with a look of shock and Awe.
"It's father!" She exclaimed to them.
Jasmine and Raksha shared a curious yet worried glance to each other at the mention of their father. Had something happened?
"What about father?" Jasmine asked, curiously.
Aria shook her head, trying to think of what to say. How to tell them what had happened. The actions that Jafar, their father's most trusted advisor, had taken against him.
"Jafar has returned and he had betrayed our family. He has use sorcery against father and has stolen his throne." Aria exclaimed to her sisters.
Despite her word of warning to her sisters, neither Jasmine or Raksha believed them to be so. Sharing but another glance to each other, seemingly unconvince by what Aria was saying to them. Especially at the notion that Jafar would ever betray their father. And with sorcery no less. In the past, Aria had been known to tell tales of lies she would tell when she was little. Whenever she had gotten in trouble.
While neither of them had ever like Jafar, they would never belied he would ever do something like that. He was father's trusted advisor after all and had served their family for many years.
Jasmine shook her head to her.
"Aria, you know better then to tell tales like that." Jasmine proclaimed to her sister.
Aria frowned.
"I'm not lying! Jafar really has betrayed us!" She insisted to them.
"Aria." Raksha said to her.
"I am telling the truth! Please, believe me!" Aria said, turning to Jasmine.
Jasmine stared into the eyes of her sister, which appeared pleading for them to listen. Causing Jasmine to turn away , narrowing her eyes with much thought. Though her doubts still resided, there was a part of her that wanted to believe her sister. But her past lies all but kept her from doing so. Even the very one she spoke of now was one that she could not.
Though the truth itself would come to be revealed to her.
There was a sudden knock on the door to their bedroom. The moment to follow, two guards would enter and approach the three princesses. Placing a hand over their chest as they bowed to them.
"Princess Jasmine, the Maharajah requests to see you." One of the guards proclaimed to her.
Jasmine paused. Her eyes squinted curiously at the guard referring to her father by his title. The Guards had never referred to her father as the Maharaja whenever he asked for her and her sisters. Though it was at first glance at the Guards that Jasmine had noticed something was wrong. While there appeared as their usual self's, it was their eyes.
Their eyes.
They appeared as though there was a red essence at their very Centre. One she had never noticed before in the past. By now, the Princess had grown quite suspicious. Though regardless, she would not keep her father waiting. Gathering herself in a proper manner.
"Yes, of course. I'll be right there." Jasmine proclaimed.
Jasmine followed the Guards to he throne room. Much to the dismay of her younger sister, Aria, who attempted to go after her. Only to be held back by Raksha. From the entrance to the balcony, Sangha watched as her princess took her leave.
"You wished to see me, Father?" Jasmine asked, entering into the throne room.
Jasmine suddenly paused, in awe upon looking up at her father's throne. The two guards resuming to stand guard at each side to the entrance of the throne room. She had expect to see her father siting on his throne. But it wasn't her father. But rather, it was Jafar, who she saw sitting atop his throne. Dressed within the white robes that had once been worn by her father and holding a cobra staff in hand.
Upon seeing the young princess now in her presence, Jafar gave a conniving Grin
"Why, Princess Jasmine, so good of you to bless me with your presence." Jafar said, rising from the throne.
"Jafar? You've return?" Jasmine asked, curiously
"But what are you doing on my father's throne?"
Jafar grinned.
"Oh, yes, I am certain you have many questions. I can assure you, I have a most wonderful answer." Jafar insisted, walking down the steps to his throne.
"For you see, what you see is the beginning of a new era. For I am the New Maharajah of Agraba!"
Jasmine squinted her eyes in disbelief.
"What are you... talking about, Jafar?" Jasmine asked, curiously.
"Where is my father?"
Jafar grinned, glancing back at the small cage that now stood next to the throne. One that she hadn't before seen. The cage of which containing that of a small mongoose clamoring against the small steal bars.
"I'm afraid the Maharajah is... predisposed at the moment." Jafar proclaimed to her.
Jasmine squinted her eyes.
"Father?" She asked, rushing over to the cage.
The small mongoose turned to Jasmine, uttering a small squeaking sound in response to the princess. All but in response to Jasmine. The mongoose itself appeared to also have a small white beard. One that resembled that of her fathers. Jasmin paused for a moment. Suddenly the princess let out a gasp of shock and awe. What she could not believe to be true was all but proven to be so.
She turned back to Jafar.
"What did you do to him?!" Jasmine exclaimed to him.
"Well he was simply in my way. So I disposed of him." Jafar proclaimed, holding up the cobra scepter.
The mention of disposing of her father brought sense of anger and betrayal. Finally seeing the truth behind her sister's words.
"Disposed of him?!" Jasmine exclaimed.
Jafar chuckled as he approached her.
"Yes! And now I am the New Maharajah of Agraba!" Jafar proclaimed to her.
"And you, my sweat desert flower shall rule by my side."
Jafar reached out his hand and attempted to brushing her check. Only for Jasmine slapped it away turned back to him, glaring.
"I will never be your Queen, Jafar! And you will never rule over Agraba!" Jasmine argued.
Jafar only scowled to the princess at her defiance. But it would not be allowed to stand. Grabbing hold of the princess's wrist, he pulled her toward her.
"Oh, I'm afraid that I already am. And you shall be my queen!" Jafar proclaimed to him.
"It would be a shame if something were to happen to your precious sisters."
The words of the traitorous advise was met with a slap by Jasmine. An act as such caused Jafar to growl.
"You insolent little girl!" Jafar exclaimed.
Raksha, Aria and Sangha peered from around the corner of the entrance to the throne room. It was there the bore witness to the truth Aria had warned them off. The treachery of Jafar as clear as day. The sisters looked on in shock and horror at the sight All the while, Sangha growled in anger at the way he held her princess.
Aria shifted her glance down at the tigress.
"Sangha..." She whispered to her.
Though the Tigress could not be calmed in the face of her Princess in danger.
"I am the Maharajah! I demand your Loyalty!" Jafar exclaimed.
Jasmine reached back to the small table behind her, grabbing hold of the cup of wine.
"Here's your loyalty!" Jasmine proclaimed, splashing him in the face with the wine.
Jafar's growled, furiously.
"You wrench!" He cursed before throwing the princess down the steps of the throne.
The princess landed over her side over the floor. She leaned up, glancing up at Jafar, who raised his scepter to her.
"If you will not rule beside me, princess. Then you shall share the fate of your father." Jafar proclaimed, raising their staff to her.
They eyes of the cobra staff glowed a bright red. The dark magic that resided within it prepared to be casted upon her by the evil sorcerer. And as it was Jafar prepared to cast the spell upon her, it was a tiger's roar which had prevented him from so. Looking back, Jasmine saw Sangha scurrying toward them. The two guards too late to stop the tigress. Much to the dismay of Jasmine's two sisters.
"Sangha, come back!" Raksha called to her.
"Sangha, No!" Jasmine exclaimed, reaching out her hand to her.
Jafar showed little fear in the face of the Tigress charging toward her. Rather, the evil sorcerer merely chuckled connivingly, hearing the pleads of the Princess to stop.
"Down, Beast!" Jafar said, raising his staff to Sangha.
Sangha pounced into the air at Jafar. Only for the sorcerer to cast his magic and blast the tigress with his magic. Much to the shock and awe of Jasmine and her sisters. A sudden flash of red light all but causing them to glance away for just a moment. Sangha was sent falling the throne room floor below, landing over her side completely motionless.
Upon uncovering her eyes, Jasmine looked upon in hoor at the sight of Sangha's motionless body.
"Sangha!" she cried, crawling over to her.
Jasmine came up to Sangha, placing her hands over her head and muzzle. Yet she continued to lay motionless over the floor room floor.
"Sangha... Shangha...! Jasmine exclaimed, pleadingly.
But plead as the princess might, Sangha eyes would not open and remained as still as the death proclaimed upon her. All but bringing tears to Jasmines eye, gathering the tigress into her arms as she brought her close, sobbing. The reality she wished not to ever bear came to be so...
Sangha was dead.
Jafar lifted his gaze to the entrance to the throne room. It was there, he spotted the two princesses, having witnessed the horrid crime he had committed.
"Guards, seize the princesses!" Jafar proclaimed, pointing to them.
Jasmine gazed up at her sisters.
"Run!" She exclaimed to them.
The two sisters were hesitant at first to leave the side of their eldest sister. But it was as the Guards, held under the possession of the evil sorcerer rushed to seize them, there lied no other choice. Raksha quickly took hold of her sisters shoulder.
"Aria, come!" Raksha proclaimed.
The two sisters quickly fled into the hallways of the palace as the guard perused them. Two of which would seize princess Jasmine, pulling her from Sangha's life ridden body. Turning to face Jafar, as she struggled in their hold. Jafar chuckled connivingly as he approached the princess.
"You should have chosen me when you had the chance, Princess. But no matter, you all will make such lovely slaves." Jafar proclaimed to them
"I will never be you slave, Jafar! And you will never be the ruler of Agraba!" Jasmine proclaimed to Jafar.
Jasmine swung her arms forward, prying her arm from the grip of the Guardsmen. Before then forcing herself out of the grip of the other. Reaching over, she grabbed the handle one of the guard's sword, pulling it from it's sheath. Swiping it at the two guards who sauntered back from her. Jasmine turned back to Jafar.
"I will never allow you to rule Agraba, Jafar. The People will stand with me!" Jasmine promised him.
With that, the princess turned and raced off through the entrance of the throne room.
"After her, you fools!" Jafar exclaimed, pointing to her.
Jafar gaze then shifted down to the lifeless body of the tigress he had slain. An idea then entered the mind of the evil sorcerer to punish the princess for defying him so.
"The people of Agraba may be loyal to you now, Princess." Jafar said, holding his scepter .
"But you won't be their princess in their eyes for very long. Instead, they will only see the savage Beast!"
The scepter eyes once more glowed red as it's magic engulfed the Tigresses body.
