The Dining Hall was as crazy as ever since today would be the first day of their school year. August Lovelace was determined to have the best year of his life... but a few things needed to be addressed. He was already looked down on since he was a transfer student from Eaglecrest, but that had been since his third year.

He had worked on this presentation all summer and talked himself into stepping on stage after morning announcements to tell everyone about the club he was launching. As a transfer student, he had a little trouble settling down, so he was a sixth-year instead of a seventh-year. He wanted to start something to leave for the generations to come.

"It is my great honor to introduce you to your new Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor, Harry Potter!" Trelawney could barely hold her excitement as some of the Professors who taught him were very excited to meet him.

August could hardly believe it. The boy who lived was right before him. He wasn't even alive during the battle between Harry Potter and Voldemort. Death Eaters were still around but were off to Azkaban if they threatened any trouble.

"Enough," Harry chuckled, blushing, telling everyone to sit back down and stop cheering for him, "Thank you for your warm welcome. I am very excited to teach every one of you this year, and I want to thank the Headmistress for asking me to take over," Harry said a few more pleasantries before returning to sit back down. "Hey kid, aren't you up now?" Harry asked, starring August Lovelace.

"Me?" August gulped as the greatest wizarding world hero talked to him... August of the Lovelace family, one of the weakest wizard families in America.

"Mr. Lovelace, you will talk about the club we discussed over the summer, right?" Headmistress asked, and August nodded, determined not to disappoint the lady he admired so much, one of his mentors.

"Um...er hi... hello," August said a little meek while the Slytherins and some of the Gryffindors were jeering him.

"Boo!" Barley shouted, and it caught on, only for the Headmistress to stand up, and everyone listened and quieted down. August looked back to get an approving nod from the Headmistress and Harry, which gave him enough courage to go on with the speech.

"Hello, Students and Faculty. One of the staple things in the United States Schools is after-school clubs. While Hogwarts has a lot of clubs, there has never been a drama club. I have written a screenplay for an original musical and would love to invite you to join me... This club is for everyone from any backgrounds. There is a signup sheet on the poster board over there. We accept everyone with no cuts, but you will have to audition... thank you," August said before booking it off the stage.

Mostly, Hufflepuffs signed up, but a few Gryffindor and Ravenclaw students scattered out. August was too worried about how he looked up their. He was trying to calm himself down in one of the bathrooms, splashing his face with water before returning to the cafeteria to eat. He couldn't eat anything because he couldn't keep anything down due to his nervousness.

It may be a little silly for someone with stage fright to want to start a drama club and put on a play for the entire school, but he wanted to be more behind the scenes as a director. Harry and the teachers thought it was adorable that such a wholesome club was being formed. Usually, there would be clubs, but they would only be open to your house.

August had tried to put on clubs before, but they all fell flat since only his immediate friend group joined. He started a 'Justice 4 Hufflepuffs' club, but that was only taken seriously by the Hufflepuffs.

"Gus, so many people signed up after you left!" Grant said as soon as August sat down, "Only half of them were joke names!"

"Only half? That is so many! Do you think this club will be able to survive?" August smiled from ear to ear.

"You're never gonna guess who signed up right after me," Jemma smiled, nudging him to cheer up. August looked at her like he couldn't take more stress. She was about to say his name, but he approached them, so she quickly shut up. August raised an eyebrow, waiting for her to finish her sentence, when he got a tap on his shoulder.

"Hey, October, right?" Greyson asked, and August's heart stopped

"Yes..." August gulped

"It's August," Jemma corrected for her friend, getting slight secondhand embarrassment for the boy.

"Oh, sorry about that, bruv. You are the one who announced the Drama Club, right?" Huxley was right behind Grey. They were identical twins, so August had a massive crush on them.

Huxley had a bit less patience for wizards who weren't popular. Grey tended to be a bit nicer. They didn't notice Hux's smirk and Grey's disposition for being her while he glared up in the corner of the room.

"Yeah, I am," August smiled.

"Come on, Grey, don't be shy," Huxley snickered under his breath, and August raised an eyebrow. Huxley nudged him, and Grey elbowed him in the stomach before fixing his robes.

"I would like to have the play's lead," Grey said, and August looked up in awe, "What is the play?"

"It's original," he blushed. He honestly didn't think this would be possible. "I think you would have to audition for it if that is okay," August gulped, turning red.

"That sounds fair," Grey raised an eyebrow as usually he would get what he wanted without even having to ask since he was Harry Potter's son. "Are you keeping the plot of the Musical a secret?" Grey asked

"No..."

"Can I hear it?" Grey smiled, playing on August's obvious crush on him. It was 2019, and things were getting better for the LGBTQIA+ for the muggles but not so much for the wizarding world. There were more out-and-open queer people, but it still had a stigma and taboo around it. August was a little flamboyant, wore nail polish, and had a rainbow flag pin on his robes next to his Hufflepuff pin.

"It is... er, It is about your father," August said, and the twins raised their eyebrows, "About him and his friends and their quest to defeat he who shall not be named," August was as red as a tomato now.

"Cool, sounds like you are a shoo-in for the lead, Greyson," Huxley said before roughhousing around with his brother.
