Chapter 2

It was morning, and Lena awoke with Spike's arms around her waist. She moved a little, causing Spike to wake up. Lena rubbed her eyes, seeing Spike looking at her in her view. "Morning." Lena yawned.

"You sleep well?" Spike asked her.

"Yes, you?"

"I don't need that much sleep much maybe four hours at the most," Spike said with his arms still around her. He loved having someone near him again. It reminded him how much he missed having someone close to him. Even Drusilla didn't even love him like he wanted when he didn't have a soul.

Spike hoped that maybe Lena would at some point. She wasn't like Buffy with the attitude that he put up with.

"May I ask what you do for your job?" Spike wondered.

"Well, I fix computers travel around the city. I need to get going and get myself together."

"I shall leave you to it. I'll be alright. I take a different way." Spike said, getting up.

"See ya," Lena said, getting up. Spike had left, and she had gotten herself showered and dressed, leaving her hair down curled a little. As soon as she got ready, going to her first place of the day. It was Wolfrum and Hart figuring it was a law firm. She headed out, going into the building, making it to the second floor. The elevator opened, and she walked up to the blonde at the front desk.

"Can I help you?"

"Here to see the boss got some technical issues going on," Lena replied.

She went to go get him while Lena stood there waiting. When he came around the corner, she immediately recognized him. "Angel? You're the boss," she said, a little surprised.

"Yes, you must be the one that is fixing the computer network." He said, surprised he would run into her again.

"Yeah." He led her to his office, having her fix the server that was acting up. It didn't take her long to figure things out, getting things working again.

"I think I got it," Lena walked up to Angel.

Angel was impressed with how quickly she got her work done, making everything work again. Spike barged into Angel's office like usual. "Well, Angel, good news more trouble stirring up," Spike said, coming in, seeing Lena next to Angel.

"You work for him too?" Lena asked him.

"No, he just likes to pester me," Angel rolled his eyes.

"What are you doing here?" Spike asked her.

"Fixing computer stuff for Angel."

"I figured it would only be a matter of time that problems would catch up," Angel replied.

"Wait a second, rumor has it that vampires been invading clubs. Well, I can only guess vampires. Someone told me they were not completely human. I've had my run-in with them it's nothing new to me. I think most of them have been hunting in clubs or bars. More people, which means more of a chance to kill someone when they are most vulnerable," Lena replied.

"So you've gone after them before?" Spike asked her.

"Well, yeah, but when I had my run-in with you, that was different. Plus, you are stronger than most, seeing you are older and more experienced than the rest."

"Look, I can use someone like you around here. I can not only make sure you're safe, but there aren't many slayers around anymore," Angel offered.

"Let me guess your personal secretary?" Lena asked him.

"More so office work type of stuff. You're good with computers," Angel explained.

"Fine, I only worked repairing computers and always made decent money," Lena said, getting out her resume and handing it to Angel. He took it from her reading it over.

"Your major is in Forensics and minored in political science. What are you doing in a place like this?" Angel questioned her.

"Just enjoyed computers, so I took extra classes in that. So now I want a simple job of fixing computers."

Angel was impressed with her grades and scores she had from college and high school. "You're a genius." Spike took the paper reading it.

"It's just numbers." Lena shrugged.

"I'll have you start tomorrow," Angel said, leaving the room.

"Always met a slayer that was pretty but not with looks and intelligence. Not that they weren't smart. They just weren't you," Spike said nicely.

"Yeah, ok," Lena sighed.

"I'm bloody serious pet when I said there is no other woman I met like you," Spike took a step closer to her.

"Spike stop," Lena said, trying to brush it off.

"I feel like I'm repeating myself, but last night with you was one of the few happiest moments in my life. Holding you made me realize how much I missed having someone," Spike said, meaning every word.

Lena knew she found Spike attractive but didn't think anything of it. Her hand brushed along his cheek, and he took her hand, kissing it. It was the first time she'd ever seen him as sweet and charming as he was being to her.

Spike knew he could be the kind loving man to the one he cared about. His lips met hers, kissing her briefly until he heard someone coming in the office quickly pulling away.

Angel saw both of them while walking in the room. Lena didn't know what to say, seeing the kiss caught her off guard. Spike wanted nothing more than to kiss her and show her how much he cared. No woman has given him the chance to show how much of a good man he could be.

"I don't have anywhere else I need to be today," Lena said, remembering her schedule.

Angel handed her a check, paying for her services doubling what she would normally charge. "You didn't have to do that," Lena said appreciatively.

"You deserve it besides you'll be making double what you charge for fixing computers," Angel informed her.

Spike listened in, not saying anything. He felt she deserved it based on her knowledge. Usually, she would make a decent amount a month due to the work and time. Luckily, she would have to go around and do computers anymore.

They talked a little longer until Angel had a meeting. Spike walked out with her to the main front. They went into an empty office to talk.

"You do have a loving side to you." Lena took a few steps towards him.

"I'm different from the ones I care about."

"You mean me?" Lena asked him.

"Yes, love, it feels like we are together sometimes when I'm with you. The way we talk to each other."

"What? Because we call each other sweetheart," Lena replied.

"Not only that, but you've let me stay over. We've kissed on different occasions it can't get anymore bloody obvious," Spike said, remembering their times together.

"You've saved me from being bothered by guys."

His arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her close to him. "We both know it goes beyond that."
