Chi walked into the school we several students waving at her and saying hello to her. She smiled and returned the greeting as she walked by. Being the popular girl in school was exhausting. Chi walked down the hall when she saw him.

Bonnie Bunny, the punk kid in school, but for Chi he was more than that. She was in love with him for years. She blushed at the sight of him as she hide around the corner. Bonnie sighed as he walked down the hall. He reached his locker and unlocked it. She watched him put his things away before walking to his first period class.

"You watching Bonnie again," a voice asked.

Chi cried out as she jumped before spinning around. She saw her best friend Mangle standing there watching her. Mangle giggled at her reaction as she groaned.

"You should tell him how you feel," said Mangle, "you're not going to getting anywhere just by staring at him."

"Shut up," Chi groaned making Mangle laugh.

"I'm serious though," said Mangle, "if you want him then tell him."

"I can't, do that. What if he doesn't like me that way."

"Don't be like that. There is no way that he won't return your feelings."

"I just…"

Mangle sighed as it was normal for Chi to be like this when came to Bonnie. Everyone in their friend group knows about her crush on Bonnie. Chi looked back at Bonnie as he walked away. Mangle rolled her eyes as she knew that it would take a miracle to get Chi to confess to Bonnie.

Bonnie stood on the roof with several punks lying on the roof. He sighed as he leaned against the fierce. Why does this always happen to him? It wasn't like he was saying hey come and get some, but still these punks always would come looking for a fight. He knelt down still leaning against the fierce.

"What would it take to get these guys to leave me alone," he groaned.

He could hear one of the boys groan as he was waking up. Bonnie looked over at him daring to come closer. The boy got to his feet and glared at him. Bonnie stood up facing the boy. The boy ran toward him, but only to get a foot to the face.

"Stay down," said Bonnie as he kicked him.

The boy fell back onto the ground. Bonnie sighed as he rubbed the back of his neck. He looked up at the sky above him. Why does this always happen anyways? What was it about him that drew this kind of crowd to him.

He walked away heading for the staircase that led to the inside of the school. He opened the door and made his way down the stairs. He came to the third floor when he saw her. Chi: the most popular girl in school and his crushed.

He had been crushing on her since he was a kid. He knew that someone like him was no good for her. He jumped into an empty classroom. He walked her watch walking by with her best friend Mangle while they were talking.

"That math test was hard," said Chi.

"I know right," said Mangle, "I thought that I was losing my mind."

"I hear ya."

They walked away leaving him standing there. He stepped out from the classroom looking at the direction where they went. He sighed before he continued to walk down the hall to his next class.

Chi was walking home from school. Her older sister was out with her boyfriend while Mangle had plans with her boyfriend as well leaving her to walk home. Chi walked down the path that was on a hill that lead to the river that flowed through town.

She heard footsteps coming got out from under the bridge. She looked over to see a group of boys emerging from the underneath the bridge. She could tell that this was a gang. They had taken notice of her. One of them whistled at her direction.

She shivered at them. They started walking up the hill. She tried to ignore them and continued walking. She cried out as a hand grabbed her wrist and pulled her backwards.

"You're Chi right," said the one of the boys.

"Yeah," she replied, "could you let me go?"

"You're pretty cute," said the boy holding her wrist, "what do ya say that you come with us for a bit."

"No thanks," she replied, "now let me go."

"Oh, come on didn't be like that," said a third boy, "we promise to treat you really nice."

"LET ME GO!"

"HEY!"

They looked to see Bonnie standing there with his hands in his pockets as he glared at them. He walked over and kicked the one that was holding her wrist in the face. The boy fell back as he released her wrist. Chi watched as Bonnie kicked him.

"She said let her go," he said coldly before throwing a punch at the closest boy.

His fist made contact with his cheek. The boy fell back and rolled down the hill and into the water below. Bonnie continued to beat up the remaining boys. Chi watched him beat them to the ground like they were nothing.

"Assholes," he cursed, "don't you know that when a girl says no that she means it."

Chi couldn't believe that he came to her rescue. She could feel a blush coming on as she realize that he just saved her like a knight in shining armor.

"You okay," he asked.

"Um, yes," she replied as she continued to blush.

"They didn't hurt you?"

"No, you stopped them before they could."

"Good."

He turned to face her as he leaned forward to get a better look at. Chi blushed even harder as he was so close to her. He pulled back and nodded to himself.

"You don't seem to be hurt to me," he said.

"I-I'm fine," she replied, "You were able to stop them before they could try anything."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"Okay then, come on I'll walk you home."

She was surprised that he offered to walk her home. She could feel her head spinning with emotions. He placed a hand onto her back which made it even worse. They walked down the path. Bonnie kept looking over his shoulder just in case the gang came after them. He saw one of the boys running toward them with a pipe over his shoulder.

Bonnie lightly pushed her forward before he held up his hands to catch the pipe. Chi looked to see him fighting the boy for the pipe. Bonnie kicked him in the gut causing the boy to drop the pipe onto the ground. He kicked the pipe away to prevent it from being used against him.

Bonnie backed up before kicking the boy in the chest knocking him to the ground. He walked over and grabbed her wrist dragging her away from the boy. Chi could feel her heart racing so fast in her chest. She could feel her whole world spinning around her. She couldn't believe that they were holding hands.

They walked for what seemed like hours. Chi kept looking down at their hand while blushing. They stopped in front of her house. He released his grip on her hand. She wished that he didn't pull away ash she was wishing for his touch.

"Sorry about that," he said rubbing the back of his neck.

"N-no, it's fine," she replied, "thank you for saving me."

"Ah, don't mention it. I can't stand guys like that."

"Yeah, I can't either."

"Well, I'm glad that you're okay. I'll see ya later."

"Wait."

Without warning she grabbed his wrist stopping him in his tracks. He looked over his shoulder at her confused. She turned him to face her before she stood on her tiptoes and kissed him on the cheek. He froze in surprised as his muscles tensed up.

She pulled away from him blushing from the kiss. Bonnie touched his cheek where she had kissed him. He couldn't believe that she had kissed him like that. He looked at her with wide eyes. He never expected to get a kiss from her.

"Thank you," she whispered.

He watched her walk inside while still holding his cheek. He just stood there trying to process everything that happened. He slowly came to his senses and looked down at his hand that had been holding hers.

What did I just do?

Chi had tried to tell herself that it was a dream, but she knew deep down that it wasn't. Bonnie had actually saved her last night and took her home. She felt like some character from a romance novel. If that was the case then she knew what would happen next: it would be awkward for them both.

She knew that this wasn't a romance novel. She had to tell herself that he was only did it because he was just a kind person and not because he had feelings for her.

She walked down the hall of the school and did her best to smile. She waved to everyone that greeted her. She walked to her locker to see that there was a note taped to her locker. She rolled her eyes as she knew that it was from some boy that liked her and wanted to date her. She took it off her locker and read it.

Please meet me on the football field.

That was all it said. She wasn't surprised that they usually said something like that. She banged her head onto her locker. Why does this have to happen to her? She sighed before she walked toward the exit of the school.

#

She arrived to the football field waiting for whoever left the note. She sat down onto a bench that the football team would use. She waited until she saw a boy walking toward her. She stood up to her feet and did her best to smile.

"Hey there," she said, "I got your letter."

"Y-yeah," said the boy as he blushed, "um, I like you! Would you go out with me?"

She let out a sigh as she knew that this would happen. For some reason boys that she didn't know always tried to ask her out. She couldn't' return their feelings as she didn't know them.

"I'm sorry," she replied, "but, I can't as I don't know you that well."

"Oh, r-right sorry."

The boy walked away with her waving to him while keeping her smile on her face. She sighed as she leaned forward resting her hands onto her knees. Why couldn't it be Bonnie that wanted to see her and confess? She knew that she would accept in a heartbeat. She sighed as she thought about this.

"That was rough," said a voice.

She looked up to see Bonnie leaning against the fierce. She fought back the blush that was threatening to appear on her face as she recalled that kiss she gave him last night.

"W-were you watching," she asked.

"Sort of," he replied as he walked toward her.

She looked away as she felt the blush on her face. He kept his hands into his pockets as he approached her. She wondered why he was even here to begin with. He pulled out his hands from his pockets and placed his fingers under her chin.

He turned her to look at him. She stared into his eyes to see a look that she seen many times before every time the talked. He leaned forward and placed his mouth on hers. She froze in surprise by this. She closed her eyes as she began to relax and return the kiss. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he wrapped his arms around her waist.

They pulled away and stared into each other's eyes. He pulled her toward him. She blushed as she fell into his chest. He held her there in his arms as he rested his chin on top of her head.

"I love you," he whispered.

"Bonnie…."

She smiled as she snuggled closer to him. She finally got to hear him say those words that she wanted him to say all this time. She couldn't be anymore happier than she was right now.

"I love you too," she whispered.

#

Bonnie had placed that note on her locker. After that kiss he decided that he couldn't take it anymore. He had to tell her the truth. He saw some boy walking toward her and asked her out. He wanted to punch him for taking his chance away.

He smiled as she turned him down. He was relieved that she didn't return his feelings. He waited for the boy to leave before he finally spoke up. She looked at him with a blush on her face. No doubt she was thinking about that kiss.

He walked over to her deciding that he had to show her just how he felt about her. He cupped her chin before kissing her on the mouth. He could feel her body tense up for a few seconds before she began to relax as she started to return the kiss.

He was relieved that he wasn't over stepping. He had whispered that he loves her which she replied by calling his name before saying that she loves him too. He could feel her arms around wrap him as he held her in his arms.

Finally, he got the girl of his dreams. He wasn't going to let her slip through his fingers. They looked into each other's eyes before they kissed again.
