Ocean Adventure And Maybe Beyond

One day in Equestria, the oceans are calm and quiet. Well, it is normal for the oceans of Equestria to be both calm and cool or rough and dangerous. But on this day, the oceans have settled.

At a small pier, a seagoing sailor pony named Hercules was preparing a special trip for the day. He had just finished his work, cleaning up his boat. "All shipshape," he commented. He had been told that he was to give a special tour of Equestria's oceans to a small group of young ponies. "Well," Hercules commented, "Always a pleasure to teach the youths about life in Equestria." Just then, a sailor pony, who was being his usual self, stumbled around, muttering unintelligent. "Then again," Hercules said, "There are those who can't think straight at all!" Hercules continued on getting his boat ready.

"And who are the stupid morons who believed that Equestria is flat?" Hercules asked, "They must have been living in Discord's disharmony world!" "And who calls my name?" Discord asked from his universe. "Never mind," Hercules said, "And ahoy!"

Several young colts and fillies, including Twist, Snips and Snails, were with the young foal group. On this day, Hercules had agreed to give them a great, but small ocean voyage. "We're here!" one of the colts said. "We are ready to live and learn," Snails said.

"Well, you are living," said Hercules, "But now, you are learning! As your captain, follow my orders!" "Yes captain!" the young ponies replied happily. "All right," said Hercules, "Safety first."

He had the young ponies put on live vests. "And don't be idiots," Hercules said, then staring at Snips and Snails, "I mean it." "Well," Snips said, "I know this will be amazing!" "Now, cast off!" Hercules said.

After all of the colts and fillies got onto Hercules' ship, he removed the lines and the boat sailed off to the open ocean. "We can't go out too far," Hercules said, "We have to stay close to the shore."

"What's out there?" Snails asked. "Many wonders of Equestria," Hercules answered, "But we're not going to do too much. Now, I've been told that you're on a learning expedition. Wild, ocean, life research."

"Yes," Twist answered, "We're told that we could get extra credit by our teachers. On wildlife." "Yes," Hercules said, "Well, the first rule out in the open ocean is always 'safety first'." "We know so!" the little ponies answered together.

"Very well," Hercules said, "I'm glad that you've understood." They came up to a spot in the ocean, where they could still see the shore. "This is as far as we go," Hercules said, "Now, we'll see life when they show up."

"All right," Twist said, "I think I can see fish." "And we can see all kinds of creatures," the other colts said. "Well, almost," another colt said, "That's okay, they're underwater." "You want to see things in a different light?" Hercules said.

The other ponies were puzzled, but Hercules used his magic to show underwater vision. "Wow!" Twist said, "Life! And mostly fishes." "I had this magic crystal," Hercules explained, "That I've installed at the bottom of this ship. And now, you're seeing the wonders of the open ocean!" "This is amazing" a colt said.

But Snails was wandering off, and when reaching the side of the boat, he noticed something. "Hey, what's this?" Snails asked, upon seeing a strange object.

Snails pulled out a butterfly net and tried to catch the strange thing. The other ponies were too impressed at Hercules' magic to take any notice of what Snails is doing.

After a few minutes of sketching and taking notes, the ponies felt that they're witnessing something that no ponies have ever seen before. "Are you having fun?" Hercules asked. "I am ever!" Snips answered excitedly, "Right, Snails? And Snails?" That's when every pony finally took notice of Snails.

Hercules quickly cut off his magic and approached Snails. "Snails!" Hercules shouted, "What the rudders are you doing?!" "I saw this thing and I'm capturing it!" Snails said and he accidentally whacked the thing with the net.

But it was actually part of something bigger. It had emerged out of the waters, looking extremely angry. "Is that a giant?" Snails asked. "A giant squid!" Hercules exclaimed. What Snails had been trying to catch was one of the giant squid's tentacles.

The giant mollusk picked up Hercules' boat and tossed it far away, out of anger. "Hang on!" Hercules said out loud as the little fillies hang onto dear life.

When the boat slammed back into the water, Twist was thrown off overboard. "Help!" she called out. "Twist!" Snips said, concerned. "Hang on!" Hercules shouted.

Luckily, Twist's live vest saved her life and Hercules was able to throw a life preserver and hauled her back onto deck.

"Twist!" Snips said, "Are you okay?" "Yes," Twist answered, gasping for air, "I'm fine. Thanks, Hercules." "No problem," Hercules said. "And no thanks to you!" Snips said to Snails.

"What?!" Snails replied, confused. Every other pony is now angry at Snails. "This is great," Hercules said, "That giant squid sent us way out into the ocean!" "We're lost at sea!" Snips said, "We're lost at sea!" "Not necessarily," Hercules said, "As long as we have a compass, we'll be-"

"I got the compass!" Snails said running with the compass. But upon trying to give it to Hercules, the little unicorn foal tripped and accidentally threw it into the ocean. "Uh, there you go?" Snails said as the compass sank into the waters. "Well," Hercules said, "Thank you for violating rule number one."

"Safety first!" all of the foals shouted at Snails. "Way to go!" Snips shouted. "What?" Snips asked. "Thanks for losing the compass," Hercules said sarcastically, "Without a compass, we can't find our way back home." "Oh no," a foal said, "Our expedition trip has turned into a nightmare!" "We need help," Hercules said, "No pony move!"

So he gone down to the lower deck and had gone through a trunk full of important things. Snails, curious, went down to watch Hercules. Every other pony, curious followed the two.

After a minute of riffling though his trunk, Hercules found a device. "This should try and help us," he said, "It is designed to tell how deep the ocean is. We'll use this to find shallow waters and return home." "Hey, what does that thing do?" Snails asked.

"Wait a minute!" Too late as Snails used his magic to pick up the ocean depth device, but accidentally tripped one again, dropped it and Snails, incapable of controlling himself, stepped on the ocean depth device, breaking it into millions of pieces.

"Uh oh," Snails said. Every pony is now even more angrier at Snails. "Uh, what just happened?" Snails asked. "That's it!" Snips shouted and every foal had grabbed Snails and had tied hip up to a mast and left him there.

"There!" a filly said, "You can't do any more damage now, you idiot!" "What?" Snails asked.

Every pony are now trying to think of some way to get back home. But immediately, Twist noticed something.

"Well, at least there will be help," Hercules said. "Wait, look!" Twist said, "Dolphins! Blue dolphins!" Every pony looked to see a pod of dolphins swimming past the boat. "They're telling us where to go," Twist explained. "Really?" a foal asked. "Yes," Twist said.

"Well, then," Hercules said, pulling out the sails, "Let's follow the dolphins!"

After the sails had been see and the winds with them, Hercules sailed his boat in the direction of where the dolphins are heading. "I trust them," Twist said. After a few minutes, they finally reach the shores and the docks. "And ho!" Hercules called out. "Twist!" Snips said excitedly, "Thank you!"

"You're welcome," Twist said, "And Hercules, you are right about the wonders of nature." "Yes," Hercules said, "When you go searching further than your limits, life always find ways to surprise you."

"And I know," Twist said, "I saw these dolphins jumping out right in front of me when we came out here. Since then, I sense that they had more things to tell." "Well," Hercules said, "You've learned a lot." "Yes," Twist agreed. The dolphins then jumped up to say 'goodbye' to Twist before swimming off.

"Thank you, friends," Twist said to the dolphins, "I owe you."

After Hercules docked his boat, every pony jumped off and left. "Land here!" Snips said, dragging his still tied-up friend, Snails with him. "Hercules," Twist said, "Thank you for this wonderful trip!"

"You're welcome," Hercules said, "And I'm sorry about the incident." "That's okay," Twist said, "You are wonderful." "But you have proven yourself to be just as great," Hercules said to the filly. "I hope we see each other again," Twist said.

"We will," Hercules said, "And I promise you and your friends another great ocean adventure. Just as long as we don't have any more mishaps." "Right," Twist said, "Good bye." Every colt and filly then headed off for home.

"Life had proven to show many wonders," Hercules said, "Thank you very much for everything. Including Princess Luna and Princess Celestia." Twist felt happy for the rest of her life.

Then one day, she was on the beach, then she saw a familiar sight. "Blue dolphins," Twist smiled, "Thank you."

Meanwhile, Snails had been ordered to clean up Hercules' ship as punishment for his reckless and stupid actions.

Also, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoons were ordered to swab the deck because of their recent behaviors. All three ponies were being supervised by one of Super Crusher's friends.

Well, most of the time. "Great," Diamond Tiara groaned, "What else?" "Uh," Snails said, still confused, "You want to hang out some time?" "Ew, gross," Diamond Tiara groaned in disgust.

The next minute, the thing, which is the tentacle of the giant squid, which Snails had angered the other day, burst out of the ocean grabbed Snails, along with Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoons, whom immediately screamed in terror, and the dragged them underwater.

"Let's go again!" Snails shouted from under the water, "Let's go again!"

"Yes," Twist said, still watching the blue dolphins, "Life is amazing."
