Mia liked to think she was always doing a good thing, by having a junk deposit zone by her family's shop. Yet nothing could stun her as much as when her husband Daiki came back from the deposit area holding a small infant with a tuft of green hair. She slowly spoke up holding their daughter Mei in her arms, "Um Daiki where did you find the child in your arms? Please tell me not where I think you did." Her face showed the worried, and horror as she watched him pulls a note out of one of his overall's pockets.
"You might want to read this for yourself before you make assumptions, but yes. I found him in the deposit zone. His name is apparently Izuku, I can call cps but first please read the note and then we can talk." He seemed to say this pleadingly before heading to the kitchen to try and help take care of the child in his arms. The man was if not anything an amazing and carrying father even for kids that weren't his.
Mia gently put her daughter in her crib and opened the note gasping from the first line. 'Hello Hatsumes, we heard your shop accepted unwanted junk. Thank you for taking our useless and worthless child. His name is Izuku and the reason we dropped him off with you is simple. He is quirkless, has a double joint in his pinky toe and as such we do not wish to waste effort raising him. You may do with him as you will and thank you again.' Mia couldn't stop herself, just barely stepping into the workshop before screaming. Tears of rage and anguished filled her crosshair eyes before she finally managed to calm herself down.
As Mia turned around, she began speaking out loud, "So we should decide if to keep him or find another pl-." She stopped as she saw her husband holding both children, who were now firmly clasping each other's hands. With a soft smile she laughed, "Well I think Mei decided for us, he's a Hatsume now. I will get the paperwork figured out later but for now let's get him settled in with his sister."
Mia and Daiki made quick work of setting up a second sleeping area for their new son. Daiki called the cps office, explaining the situation they currently were in. How ever Mia saw how his face darkened slightly before hearing his response to a seemingly upsetting question. "No ma'am, we wish to keep him and do not want to put him in the system. Uh-huh well then could you mail us the papers we need to sign. Perfect, the child's name is Hatsume Izuku as of now. Yes Hatsume, yes, we are the ones who own the tech shop that accepts junk donations. Yea that's exactly what seemed to have happened. Thank you. Yes, please send him over to verify stuff that works perfectly."
Daiki sat down with a sigh of relief. Looking over to Mia who came over beside him, a smile on her face. "I take it that went well. You looked like your eyes were going to burst with light. So, who is coming over?" She gently stroked her husband's hair. Her eyes shifted as she zoomed in on her husband's face. Seeming to take in his expressions.
"Seems they're sending a young-blooded detective who focuses on quirkless cases to verify everything. However, if he deems everything to be in order, we are to be granted automatic custody. Apparently, it's not worth dealing with a quirkless child. Yet the only proof we have of that is the letter saying they had apparently already x-rayed his foot. Augh I can't stand quirkiest people always putting down people with unlimited potential." Daiki sighed and relaxed, his eyes having begun glowing a bright yellow. He begins working on dimming them. "We will deal with this and besides who know maybe the boy is quirkless but I bet he will be an outstanding genius."
