Chapter 8: The Race to Senpai
Nagatoro's heart raced as she sprinted through the dimly lit streets towards Senpai's house. Her thoughts were a whirlwind of emotions and regret, and she couldn't shake the feeling of urgency that gripped her.
She had to find Senpai, had to tell him the truth, before another moment was wasted. The nightmare had been a cruel reminder of the time she had already lost. The time she could lose if she waited any longer.
As she reached Senpai's neighborhood, her steps quickened, fueled by a sense of determination that she had never felt before. She finally arrived at his doorstep, her breaths coming in short gasps. She hesitated for just a moment, her hand trembling as she reached out to ring the doorbell.
The door swung open, and there stood Senpai, his eyes widening in surprise as he saw Nagatoro standing there, disheveled and breathless.
SENPAI (astonished)
Nagatoro? What are you doing here at this hour?
Nagatoro's words spilled out in a rush, her emotions overflowing.
NAGATORO (desperate)
Senpai, I had a nightmare, a terrible dream where you... you were gone. I thought I had lost you, and I realized that I couldn't bear the thought of not telling you how I truly feel.
Senpai's expression softened as he listened to her, his eyes filled with understanding.
SENPAI (gentle)
Nagatoro...
NAGATORO
I love you, Senpai. I've loved you for so long, and I've been such a fool for not saying it sooner.
Tears welled up in Senpai's eyes, and he stepped closer, taking Nagatoro's hand in his.
SENPAI (emotionally)
H-..Hayase, I.. I.. I love you too… I always have.
Nagatoro's heart soared as Senpai's words washed over her. She had finally found the courage to confess, and it had brought them closer than ever.
NAGATORO
Senpai...
Their lips met in a sweet, heartfelt kiss, sealing their love and banishing the nightmares of the past. They stood there on the doorstep, wrapped in each other's arms, knowing that they had found something precious.
