Hatsune Miku: Pokémon Trainer
Author's Note: A fic commemorating the Project Voltage collaboration. For recognizability sake, I refer to the Pokémon elements by their English localizations. Enjoy the story and R&R.
Disclaimer: I do not own anything related to or of the Shinkalion franchise, the Pokémon franchise, the Godzilla franchise, Vocaloid, or Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Summary:
Snow Godzilla sends the Shinkalion drivers to the Evangelion dimension, across time, and to the Pokémon world.
"I'll show them the way!"
"We owe you one, Miku!"
Miku got Hayato's family somewhere safe as she promised. But then there was that light in the sky that became a Giant Monstrous Being…The light which transformed into Godzilla basically…or Snow Godzilla, as the Ultra Evolution Institute codenamed it.
A cruel angel's thesis, the light which Snow Godzilla fired from its mouth at the E5 and Hayato-kun.
Director Hayasugi leapt in the ray after his son.
While Hayato crossed over back to Shinji, Asuka, and Rei's dimension, and Hokuto went for a trip through time, the space-time-shearing light sent Miku here the moment she turned around to catch their Shinkalion being engulfed by Snow Godzilla's atomic breath.
Here, to the Pokémon world.
Miku's stop on the isekai rail was the least upsetting out of the three of them. But she had to get back.
Unfortunately, she had no route home. She could only wait for an extraction, or, as had been the case with Hayato and Hokuto, for the energy similar to the black particles to recede and spit her out.
This was the surprising account she attempted to communicate to the Rising Volt Tacklers, whose airship she fell out of the clouds onto. Scooped up by Friede's Charizard before she hit the deck.
It's funny. When she first came to, she thought she was in the Ultra Evolution Institute's medical ward, and mistook Orla and Mollie for Hayato and Seiryu.
That was a conversation to dodge. That Hayato and Seiryu sounded like grown women.
Monsters were a normal sight here as they were where Miku hailed from (for a Shinkalion driver, anyway). The difference was the monsters got along with humans, rather than threaten human livelihood.
Oh, and no one here was familiar with Godzilla. They had Tyranitar, Duraludon, Baxcalibur, and Hydreigon, but no Godzilla.
After accompanying the Rising Volt Tacklers to Levincia, Miku gave her thanks to the likes of Friede, Liko, and Roy, and parted ways. She didn't know how long she'd be trapped (okay, perhaps "visiting" was a fairer characterization of her experience). Her initial uncertainty translated into a drive to not idle.
Levincia was famously the stomping ground of Gym Leader/streamer Iono, but the billboards soon had a new idol to display.
Hatsune Miku, Psychic-type Trainer! The songstress whose voice even electrifies legendary Pokémon!
She completed the Victory Road and rose to the top of the charts faster than anyone.
Hatsune Miku, the legendary speedrunner!
"I guess you could say I had…some kind of instinct for it?" she'd repeat during interviews.
Everyone wanted a photo with Miku and to battle her Meloetta.
Everyone was mystified she basically spoke Unown.
"Miku, this is a dream," she kept telling herself, unaware Hayato was repeating the same.
"Miku, this isn't a dream," others would Counter.
Idle hands are Houndoom's playthings.
Eighteen types. There were eighteen types of Pokémon, and she'd mastered but one.
Miku slid her tote bag strap over her shoulder and zipped up her Poké Balls.
Every dream ends.
Until then…
The world is your Cloyster.
