Marinette grinned happily as she walked into school. Today was the first day, and not only was art the first class of the day, she and Adrien were in the same class! What luck!

"Good morning, Marinette," Adrien walked in, looking handsome as usual. "Hi!"

"All right, class, welcome to a new school year and a terrific year of art!" Their teacher said. "Today were going to start with some simple doodles of things around the house that you love. Let's get started!" Marinette opened her notebook to a fresh sheet of paper, tapping her pencil against the page. She could just doodle Adrien. Could she?

Soon, she found herself sketching dresses, something she did on a daily basis. These sketches might turn into dresses someday, but for now they were could practice. Then she drew Cat Noir who came over every day, napping in his box. She giggles, her cheeks flushing a little. Her crush was on Adrien, but when Cat snored and his ears flapped, he could be adorable!

Adrien heard the giggle and peeked slowly at Marinette's work. Aw, was that him as a Cat? But what was that look on Marinette's face as she drew? Did she have a crush on him? Looks like it, for she was now doodling little love hearts.

Adrien turned back to his work, as he drew Ladybug swinging from rooftop to rooftop and took out his colored pencils to color in his picture.

Up above on seat, Marinette's pencil snapped, and she groaned. Good thing she had another pencil in her case! But when Marinette opened it, her tin was bare. Adrien would loan her one, right? She leaned over to talk to him, praying she wouldn't drool. "Hey, Adrien, can I borrow a pencil for a sec?" Adrien turned to see Marinette's cute face, and his heart begin to beat wildly. She's talking to you, stay calm! Don't meow or pun! "Thanks!" Their fingers brushed, and Marinette felt her face go as red as her ladybug suit.

Adrien turned quickly back to his seat, grinning. Yep, she did have a crush on him. In fact, he could make her really blush if he doodled…..

Marinette giggled as Adrien suddenly frantically begin doodling. His hair was so soft and boy, was it floofy! Fresh pencil in hand, she begin to draw his floof. Adrien heard her snort, and his cheeks went as red as apples that could soon be picked. Cheese and crackers, why does she have to be so cute, even when she angry? "Arrgh, you've got to be kitten-ING me!" Marinette glared at her second broke pencil.

"Here you go," Adrien said, handing her a new one. Nothing like helping a damsel in distress. "Your a lifesaver, Adrien." Okay, he needed to focus, but floof and cat brain had taken over and he blurted, "Your the problem!"

Oh, no! That's not what was supposed to come out! Marinette paled. "I'm sorry?" Okay, think, Agreste. You can save this with a joke. "I mean, its a no. 2 pencil and there not as good, so its a number one problem!" Marinette snorted, and the teacher looked their way.

Whew, Adrien slumped in his seat. Pencil problems on the first day. But it would be okay. After all, Marinette was here and even with the pencils snapping, it was sure to be a great day of school with his best friend at his side.
