Dear MX,
Hello there, it's me, Kia. I hope you're alone when you read this, because of obvious reasons, haha... I'm following up on the talk we had back in Kurilev. It was honestly a really exciting prospect when you mentioned it, and now we've finished the work and produced a draft manuscript.
I understand our relationship is very... complicated, but since you have a lot of experience in this field, and since we really can't access a lot of resources back here given our situation, the entire team has agreed to have you take a look at the work we've done so far. I'm sorry, I don't really know what I should be writing here, it honestly all feels so strange. The war and all, I want to think we're friends, but you know...
Look, I don't know if this is something we can ask of you, and we've never talked ever since the end of that operation. But you told me you were open to it, so, yeah... I've attached our manuscript, the figures, supplementary data, and Alexandria file to this email. Please take a look at them if you can and WANT to, that would mean a lot for us.
A lot of us here, maybe even all of the team here, we feel pretty bad about what's going on right now. I personally like to think that with this research, we may be able to do some good for the world for once, maybe even save some people, you know? I don't care if it's a pipe dream, or if we have to end up ghost writing it, the things I've attached to this email are like a faint sliver of hope to us here back at Sangvis Ferri.
So once again, please take a look at this file if you can. By the way, you'll have to load the Alexandria reference list and link it to the document before the references will show up, but I'm sure you know how do that. Oh, and also, please PLEASE make sure nobody else sees this. Nobody at Griffin, and certainly nobody at SF, that wouldn't end very well for us, haha! Once again, thank you so much, not just for this, but also for Kurilev. It truly means more to us than you could ever imagine.
And I hope to see you again one day, on the other side of history.
Sincerely,
Kia
