Chapter Three: The Misadventures of The Old Tiger
Libra Dohko's Point of View
By: Lady Mochizuki

Authors Note: Draken and Twilight grew up thinking their names were Asano Eiji and Asano Kana as their mother, Kamala's wish was to hide Drake and Light from their father, Gemini Saga.

September 3, 1973

I felt both Vittoria's and Kamala's cosmos slowly slip away and a few moments later, twin shooting stars streaked across the sky as I heard Light fuss, so I headed in only to find Draken had an arm around Twilight's waist and Zoom cuddled close to Light. I only smiled at the sight. I wonder if Light is an empath as well.

Sighs.

I feel bad for Shion, Vittoria, and Kamala, who never witnessed Draken's and Twilight's firsts. I swear if I knew what I was getting myself into when I agreed to take Drake and Light in. I'd probably think about it, but then again, I would not have changed the last ten months for the world.

Sighs.

I feel the younger one will be my demise because I can sense a mischievousness that I don't sense in the older twin.

Hm.

Twilight has Briana's personality. I sometimes wanted to strangle Light for some of the things she'd pulled. Yes, she's a Scorpio, all right. Athena helps me. How many times have I wanted to strangle this one for trying my patience?

Oh well.

My misadventures, as I call them, started when Twilight had turned two months old. I noticed she was able to move things with her mind. At first, it wasn't very noticeable until she started moving larger objects like yours truly or Zoom or their playpen so she could listen to the waterfall's roar. She babbled at the Great Lushan Waterfall, but I later discovered Light conversing with the Dragon Armour.

I woke up later than usual one morning because Twilight is a night owl. And I discovered Drake, Light, and Zoom were gone. I search everywhere in a panic for my little ones. Oh, Kamala, forgive me if Gemini Saga had come and taken Draken and Twilight or, worse, killed them. Later that day, I felt an unfamiliar cosmos surround the area, and then suddenly, Aries Mū and Virgo Shaka stood. Mū was holding Drake and Light while Zoom rode on Shaka's shoulder. I sighed in relief, of course.

Mū told me that Twilight had teleported herself, Draken, and Zoom to India, where he and Shaka were having tea. Mū had related to Shaka. The little ones were my great-grandchildren, Asano Eiji and Kana, so now you know how Drake and Light got their pseudonyms. I smiled at Shaka and thanked him for bringing my Eiji and Kana home. Shaka only nodded as he slowly detached Zoom from his shoulder and teleported back to India. Shaka didn't believe Mu, but he just let it go.

Mu sighed, knowing later he would have to tell Shaka the truth, but I assume Draken and Twilight staying safe is his priority. Mu is a doting uncle and quite protective of Drake and Light.

Mu told me he had gauged Twilight's psychic powers, and I could tell Mu was a little jealous as he spoke because, at this point, Light's ability matched his now, but it may grow more substantial like her grandfather, Shion. Twilight was only two and a half months old.

I swear, as young as Twilight was, I had to be on my toes with her around. So Mu came up with an amulet to suppress her psychic powers, but I shook my head no and said,

"As her guardians, we should teach her how to control her powers instead of suppressing them. Furthermore, Kamala would kill us if we thought of suppressing those powers that could save humanity one day."

Mu laughed as Twilight yanked his hair to get his attention, while Draken reached for me as I took Draken from Mu. Light started babbling at Mu. Mu stayed for a while and played with his nephew and niece. A week before Twilight turned three months, Mu saw her sitting in their playpen, babbling with The Dragon Armour and The Aries Armour. Mu looked over at me and said,

"Light inherited Briana's power to talk with domestic and wild animals."

Later that night, Draken pointed out the constellations to his sister while Mu and I were sipping tea. Draken flashed whatever he read in the stars to me, and I exclaimed to Mu,

"Draken inherited Pope Sage's ability to read the stars."

Mu nodded in acknowledgment while exclaiming to me,

"My nephew and my niece are geniuses."

The little ones turned towards Mu and me with broad smiles.

Mu left shortly afterward, promising Draken and Twilight that he would visit again.

I watched as my little ones started crawling when they were four months old. Drake crawled while Light scooted across the floor like her great-grandmother did. I watched proudly as the kids would race each other, and Draken would win, of course, but he would always hold up Light's arm in victory, which made her smile widely.

One day, three weeks before the young ones turned five months old, Drake stood up and walked to me with the biggest smile while encouraging his sister to do the same. Twilight took her first steps at five months, and the peace went. Because all day it was "Light come away from there," or "Twilight, don't touch that."

I swear this one constantly had me on my toes, while Draken was always calm as a cucumber. Twilight reminds me of Briana in energy and personality. Draken thankfully took after his great-grandfather and grandfather.

The little ones turned nine months when Twilight pointed at me and blurted out, "Papa." I did try to correct her, but she stubbornly shook her head and repeated herself. Mū, who came to visit us, told me,

"In the eyes of these young ones, you're their grandfather, and there's no getting around it."

I sighed in defeat.

"I don't think Master Shion would mind at all either," Mū added, smiling.

I sighed heavily, gave in, and encouragingly smiled at Twilight; then she walked over to Mū, pointed at him, and said, "Unko!" Mū smiled widely. Draken looks at Light and says, "Light."

I had to watch what I said in front of the little ones. I'm laughing out loud.

As my little ones grew older, more and more, their personalities came out; Twilight seemed to enjoy challenging my patience and seeing how far she could push me.

At age two, Drake and Light would mimic my movements as I flexed my cosmos. I would correct Draken's and Twilight's movements. So, I took it upon myself to teach them, much to Mu's displeasure. Of course, I was hoping it would keep Twilight out of trouble.

I would look out the window to check on my little ones when I discovered Light had entered the Bamboo Forest, while Drake would go to the rice farmers below my home to work. I would go tearing after her to find the Light wrestling with tiger cubs under the watchful eye of their mother, or she is stalking me with the cubs, or I find Light talking with a wise old King Cobra or riding on the back of a water buffalo. Draken and Twilight were three years old

At least Twilight was staying out of trouble as long as Draken kept her out of trouble as long as I wasn't looking, but the little ones had just turned four.

Of course, that was asking a bit too much from Light. Twilight, a sneaky little creature, had climbed to the Great Lushan Waterfall and jumped off. I felt my heart go up in my throat as I heard one splash and saw Light's head pop up and swim to where I was. The little one climbed out without any broken bones. I thanked Athena for keeping Twilight safe and walked away from the child seething with anger, while Draken would scold his younger sister in their twin language that only they could speak with a scowl on his face that said volumes.

An hour later, out of the corner of my left eye, I saw Twilight's head pop up around the corner, watching as I saw Light bravely walk in as she hugged me around my neck. I felt my anger disappear as I kissed her forehead. Damn, brat reminds me so much of Briana. Seeing this, Draken hugged his younger sister and kissed her cheek.

Twilight found an abandoned baby peregrine falcon and baby ferrets, and I didn't say no when Light brought them home, and Drake promised to help his sister take care of them. I figured taking care of these animals would teach Draken and Twilight responsibility and accountability, and thus that's how Draco, the peregrine falcon, Bandit, and Koda joined our little family. Drake and Light were six years old My Little Raptor and My Little Teumessian Fox.

I must say, though, it did calm Twilight down a bit.

Of course, those looking in didn't know anything but just thought I was raising my great-grandchildren Eiji and Kana, who lost their mother and were abandoned by their father. I didn't bother to correct them.

I continued to train the kids; I asked them if they could split The Great Lushan Waterfall in half. Unknowingly, not noticing The Scout of the Saints was here and watching us. The kids had spent five months syncing their cosmos and splitting the waterfall in half. I cheered their success as The Scout of the Saints came forward, seeing great potential in Draken and Twilight to become Saints of Athena. Light refused to leave Draco, Bandit, Koda, and one-year-old Hunter, the Chow Chow, behind, as did Drake with one-year-old Nala (Zoom's daughter). The Scout of the Saints relented and allowed the kids to bring their animal companions.

Drake and Twilight were on their way to Sanctuary on their seventh birthday, Mu and I prayed for their safety. I just waited on my trainees to come while Mu started his new venture of training Kiki.
