Kong's New Island Ch. 03

Back at the inn Kong and Lily walks in to find Goro with some girl at the table.

Goro stands to introduce the girl, "Guys, this is Allie. She has something to tell you."

When she finishes her story. Everyone stands in silence for a moment.

Lily is the one to break the silence, "That's just awful. Have you told the police?"

"I have and they didn't believe me. They just ruled it as another accident. But it wasn't an accident! Johnny was as good as a swimmer as he can surf, and he was the best on the island!" Allie tells them. She starts crying again. "What could have done this to Johnny?"

Kong speaks, "I might know," and every turn to him.

"Really? What?" Lily asks.

The ape only replies, "Oodako."

Goro's eyes widen, "Are you sure? I mean, how can you tell?"

"There was a body on the beach that had markings that were all too familiar."

That is when Lily asks, "Who is Oodako?"

Kong looks between the two humans before letting out the sigh. "Back home on my island, Oodako was someone who invaded the village occasionally. Killing the natives and doing whatever he wants," he explains. "I fought him off the island a couple of times, but he always came back."

"And you believe this Oodako Killed Johnny?" Allie asks.

"I'm sure of it."

Goro walks up to Kong, "So, what do we do?"

"You are going to take her home," Kong tells him as he points to Allie. "While I go for a walk on the beach."

Lily looks worriedly at Kong, "You can't go out there! You heard what Allie said."

"Like I said, I took him on before and I won," Kong pounds an arm on his chest proudly.

"Are you sure you don't want me to come with you." Goro asks.

"I can take care of myself," Kong tells the Leaper. "Just do as I say and take the girl home," he grunts angrily before walking out.

.oOo.

Goro does as Kong told and takes Allie home.

They were halfway there before Allie spoke. "Do you think your friend will be alright?"

"I'm sure, Kong's pretty strong," Goro says as he starts rubbing his jaw. "I was stupid to go against him before and it didn't turn out so well.

"You two don't sound much like friends," she tells him. "I mean with the way he talked to you before leaving and you said that he hurt you," she mentions.

"Well, we did get into fights a lot and we pretty much didn't see eye to eye," he tells her. "But we've put the past behind us. He may not be the kindest person on the island, but he can be gentle when he wants to."

"I hope you're right. But if you are friends then shouldn't you be with him now?"

Goro waves her off, "Nah! Kong can take care of himself. Besides, he said he doesn't need my help."

"Kong doesn't seem like the kind of person that would admit he needs help when he does," Allie points out.

"Huh!" the former kaiju scratches his head. "I guess you're right. But he told me not to."

"A real friend would go help his friends even when he's told otherwise."

Goro stops in his tracks, "I guess you're right," and he thought for a moment. "Hey, Allie. Are you alright getting back home from here?"

"Yeah, sure."

"Okay thanks," he starts running back the way they came. "Maybe I'll see you tomorrow!?" Goro shouts.

Allie smiles, "Definitely."

.oOo.

Kong walks along the beach in the light of the moon, keeping an eye out for anything that would lead him to Oodako. What he did not seem to notice was that he was being followed. Peeking out from behind a large, old boat that washed ashore is a worried Lily. She knows Kong is strong, but she is sure he's in over his head.

Lily walks out from her hiding place to continue following Kong when suddenly a bald man with red skin and yellow eyes walks in front of her path. This man is wearing black shorts and a white sleeveless shirt. The man's arms had lines going down and around them that lead to three fingers.

Lily stares at him for a moment before asking the question she was afraid to ask.

"Are you Oodako?" hint of fear can be heard in her voice. This only makes the man smile.

"How did you know?" Oodako's grin sent a shiver down the woman's spine. What really freaked her out was when he raised his arms, and they started splitting at his fingers. Where two arms used to be are six octopus-like tendrils.

Lily cannot remember the last time she felt terror like this. She finds herself unable to move even as Oodako's arms reach for her. Before they even touched her though, Oodako is picked up and thrown away from her. Standing in front of her now is Kong.

"What are you doing here, Oodako?" Kong snarls.

The octopus stands up, "I could ask you the same thing, King Kong."

"King?" Lily looks back at Kong.

"The last time I checked this isn't your island," Oodako states. "So, you don't have the right to stop me," his tentacles spread out.

"Is that so?" Kong grunts. "Then I guess you don't mind telling me why you've been drowning people?"

"I don't know really," Oodako grins. "Maybe it has something to do with the look on their faces while I'm holding them down beneath the surface knowing they will never see dry land ever again."

"That's insane!" their attention is brought back to Lily. "There's no way a human would even think that."

"Maybe no human would," Oodako tells her. "But a Kaiju may find some pleasure in it."

"Kaiju?"

The Octopus turns to Kong, "You never told the human, did you?"

Lily asks, "What's he talking about?"

"Kaiju is a word humans gave us a long time ago. Back in our old world," Kong explains. "It referred to creatures of a titanic size. We were all Kaiju. Oodako, Goro, and… me," he looks away from her. Lily could see the pain when he said that last part.

At that moment Oodako had lunges at Kong. Kong moved Lily out of the way and tried to punch Oodako, but he dodged and moved behind Kong. Oodako wraps four of his tentacles around Kong's arms and two around his neck.

Kong feels his airways being closed off and struggles to get free from Oodako's grip, but no matter what he did it did not change the fact that he is suffocating. The last thing he heard before blacking out was Lily screaming.

"KONG!" Lily felt helpless seeing her friend dying right in front of her. Then as if by fate, Goro runs out of nowhere yelling.

"HEY, SQUID FACE!" Goro jumps towards Oodako, kicking him and causes the octopus to lose his hold of Kong.

"Hey, Boss! You alright?" he asks the human.

"I'm fine. What about Kong?" She asks while kneeling right beside Kong. They both let out a sigh of relief when his chest moves up and down from his breathing.

Goro brings his attention back to Oodako who is standing back up. Goro runs and jumps towards him expecting another good kick. Then suddenly, Oodako grabs his legs and slams the dino on the ground.

Oodako starts dragging Goro across the beach. "You need to try something different, Gorosaurus." The former dinosaur had no success at escaping Oodako's grip. Before he knew it they were in the water. Oodako is still above the surface while holding Goro's head just below the water.

Goro can see the look of joy on Oodako's face. He was about to lose consciousness just before seeing Oodako being tossed away from him. Then, he gets pulled up out of the water. As Goro coughs up the water from his lungs, he looks up and sees Kong standing in front of him.

"Thanks, Big Guy." Goro thanked him.

"Don't mention it." Kong grunts. "Besides. We're even."

Kong looks back at Oodako to see he is starting to get back up. Kong charges towards him and starts throwing punches. The ape then picks Oodako up and slams him on the ground repeatedly of times with every pound kicking up sand. When Kong finishes and the dust clears, the former ape had the octopus by the throat.

"This island is mine." Kong tells him. "I want you to remember that. And if I see you around here again I will personally turn you into sushi, you got that."

"Okay," Oodako chokes with fear. "I get it."

Kong Drops Oodako, walks over to the old boat, and picks it up. Before Oodako could react to this he gets distracted by someone yelling.

"SQUID FACE!" It is Goro charging towards him with another jump kick that sends him a good distance away. "THAT'S FOR TRYING TO DROWN ME!" He hollers happy with the distance. Oodako is flown towards Kong where he swings the boat like a baseball bat and sends him flying out into the sea.

Kong tells Goro, "You do know he's an octopus?" The former dinosaur just shrugs.

Lily walks towards them as Kong sets the boat down. "That's what I call a home run." The woman then wraps her arms around him. When she lets go, she does the same to Gorro. The human friend then had a couple questions. "So, when Goro called you a big ape he actually meant…" Before she can finish Kong interrupts.

"He meant a big ape."

"Well, that explains why you're always eating bananas." Lily says as Goro laughs. "And when you called Goro Lizard face…" This time Lily is interrupted by Goro.

"I used to be an enormous dinosaur," He exclaims.

"Really?" Lily raised an eyebrow. "That doesn't explain anything about you." Goro felt a bit embarrassed at the comment. Kong is holding in a laugh.

"THAT WAS AMAZING!" their attention was turned to Allie who is currently running towards them.

Kong frowns as he turns to Goro. "I thought I told you to take her home."

Goro only shrugs as Allie catches up to them.

"I just saw the whole thing!" she says with glee.

"Um… Allie," Goro starts asking, "I thought you would be home by now?"

"Oh, sorry. I… sort of followed you here, wondering exactly what you were going to do." She explains. "You two were amazing. The way you beat that guy by swinging a large boat." Then she steps closer to Goro. "You were especially amazing, Goro."

Goro can feel his face getting warm. "You really think so?"

"Yeah. The way you saved Kong and helped deliver the final blow." The red head's eyes flutter a bit. "You have to tell me how you did all that."
