Dijon walked through the streets and headed right to his neighborhood.

Dijon looked at the sunset. "Well, what a day... pretty sure nothing will happen like this in the future."

He entered the place where he lives and politely opened the door. "I'm home!"

"Glad to see you there, sweetie," Dijon's mom said.

Dijon took a few steps and looked at the brown hedgehog with a blue cap. "Well, isn't that my awesome cousin who came here to see us?"

That brown hedgehog answered while playing with his handheld console. "Yeah... the reason I'm here is that my both parents are busy working, so they decided I should stay here... for now."

"Oh, right! Since you've come back here from the long day, shall we have dinner?" she said with a cheerful smile.

"Sure, it would be great," Dijon responded.

Dijon ate the food and headed upstairs to his bedroom.

"Well, pretty sure I'll do some fun stuff for now..."

Dijon spent a few hours playing and later decided to go to bed.

The day passed, and the morning started with a bright sun.

Sonic woke up from his house, stepped down, and began to run around the forest.

He whistled. "Aww man! yet another awesome day..."

Suddenly Sonic heard an alarm sound on his flip phone and quickly answered. "Hello, Tails?"

"Sonic! you must come to my house quickly! it's big news...!" Tails said, sounding panicked.

"Don't worry, Tails! I'll be there in a second!"

Sonic quickly rushed off, ran to Tails' house, and entered it.

He got to the living room and saw both Amy and Tails. "Guys!"

"Sonic, listen to the news... it's... kinda strange..." Tails pointed at the TV.

Sonic paid attention as he heard words from the news reporter.

The news report said, "This is terrible! Emerald town has been reported to have countless people missing every day! We're not sure what's the main cause of this."

"What...? This seems... odd... people are missing..." Sonic was curious.

"That's right, we're not sure how these people are going missing..." Tails said with a worried look.

"Can... the police find the actual reason...?" Amy asked.

"Well! pretty sure we just need to stay optimistic!" Sonic tried to cheer up the group.

"You're right! I am sure any case can be solved!" Tails added his optimism.

"But... wait... I do have one question about this..."

"Does it have to do with Eggman...?" Amy asked curiously.

"That's a huge maybe... he hasn't been around for a while now..." Tails gave a frown.

"I bet he's not... he's gone... I'd rather forget what happened when... our friendly robot friend died."

"You're right, Sonic... let's totally forget about Eggman altogether..." Amy said, understanding how Sonic felt.

"Well! if anything bad happens, Tails, let me know!" Sonic gave a thumbs up to Tails.

A couple of hours passed, and we cut back to Dijon. He seemed to be sitting in a small cafe, waiting for his order.

"What a boring day... hopefully, I'll get the order right in time."

Suddenly, he saw Sonic running past the cafe.

He took instant notice. "Sonic?"

Sonic ran back, and he saw Dijon. "Yo, Dijon!"

"Oh, hi there, Sonic."

"I'm surprised that you were there. I was looking for you, just have one question."

"One question?" Dijon was immediately interested.

"Yeah! it's all about the strange events happening in the town right now."

"I see, but... I don't think I've ever heard of it."

"Wait... really?"

"Yeah."

"Did you see it on TV?"

"Nope, I immediately got up and went outside."

"Oh! that makes sense."

"Alright, I will tell you."

"The reporter said that countless people are starting to go missing for some reason, and no one knows how that happened."

"Oh, so that happened."

"Yeah, and we're not really sure who did it."

"Well, that seems strange."

"So, let's just put that aside for now... and talk about some minor stuff."

"Oh! right... can I ask you one thing?"

"Sure! you can ask me anything."

"It's about your powers, how does it feel to be that fast hedgehog?"

"You see, having powers may make you feel powerful. But the important thing that I always do is to not use my speed as a power. I will not be that person who only uses power for, you know, bad things."

"I see, having superpowers may lead you down many different paths."

"That's right!"

Minutes passed, Dijon got his order. Sonic and Dijon both laughed and had a fun time talking.

"Alright, guess it's my time to go now."

"Guess so, goodbye for now."

"Yeah, it was a good time talking with you. Bye, Dijon!"

Sonic ran off into the distance.

Then, it cut to a completely different world, one that looked nothing like the world Sonic and others lived in.

There were four Spirits, all dressed in black and white colors. They were fighting a mysterious armed robot with signature blue and red armor.

The third spirit shouted, "Everyone! this Deminin can't be underestimated by anyone!"

The first spirit, a black-haired girl, responded, "That's true! his ability is so unreal."

The Deminin said with an eager tone, "Oh, look at that... three Soulners fighting alongside and trying to stop me? How futile!"

The third Soulners was confused, "Three? I thought there were four of us!"

"Damn you, Satsugai! he's sleeping again!" the second Soulners was irritated by Satsugai's actions.

Satsugai woke up. "Oh? isn't this a strong Deminin that got me to wake up?"

"That's right! you shouldn't sleep during your own missions!"

Suddenly, the second got interrupted by Deminin's sneak attack and was ready to use its secret knife.

The second was caught off guard.

"Too late." The Deminin did a small chuckle as he was ready to stab the Soulner.

"But in the end, the end comes to mine." Satsugai was behind the Deminin.

The Deminin was shocked. "Wait...? how did you?!"

Satsugai pulled out his long sword, which looked like a Japanese katana, and was ready to do a down-cut slash on the enemy.

The Deminin's eyes shined, and he dodged the attack.

"Not bad... for a sleepy guy... heheheh..." he did that annoying chuckle again.

"Now... you will taste this!" The Armed one-shot a laser cannon from his hand, and it went directly at Satsugai.

"And how will that compare to me?!" Satsugai raised his voice.

Satsugai concentrated, moving his hand toward the blast, shot a strange black void at the blast, which collided with the beam that the Deminin shot. However, the blast suddenly vanished.

The Deminin was immediately shocked by this. "Wait...?! that's not how it's supposed to be!"

"Now it ends here!" The Armed one tried to land a final strike on the enemy, but unfortunately...

Deminin would dodge one of Satsugai's attacks again, and he pulled out a teleport ring, vanishing from this dimension.

"I was close!" Satsugai was caught off guard by this.

"Well, because if you weren't a laid-back person, then we could have won," said the second Soulner.

"You know, Chisuke, my days as a wandering Soulner will now come to an end."

All three Soulners were surprised by this.

"That means... you will leave your job?" said the first Soulner.

"True... this is why I will do it."

"This is beyond stupid, what about us? you're not gonna leave us like that... we don't have anything else to do."

"I didn't say that I am going to leave this job forever. You know I just got bored."

"And... you gonna leave us now?" Chisuke said.

"That's right, I've prepared for this now..."

"Not sure how many days it will be... but I'll return... I just need some time to relax, it will be my own vacation."

The third said, "Well, if you're going to leave it for now, then I will take your leadership. On another side... maybe it will be great for you. I'll make sure that I will find this Deminin."

"That seems good for all of us. If you'll excuse you three, I'm partying in my own way now."

"That seems strange... now our first enemy got away from us, now it's the leader gonna leave us, for now at least..." Chisuke frowned.

Satsugai suddenly pulled out a forbidden paper spell, and he made a portal with a strange green symbol. "Well! my time has now been set... Chisuke! Kiri! and... Kenshin!"

Satsugai jumped through the void, choosing a random planet, and ended up on the same world where Sonic and others lived, near the forest area.

"Alright... this one... hah... I've been waiting for this..."

"I wanted to be a spectator one day, to see what would happen if a different person would use my powers..."

"Now... I've stored half of my powers in a gift box. Since this world has been chosen, it will have the appearance of a random accessory that this world uses the most. If the user will awaken my powers, then it will have the appearance of a tool that I have gotten from a very old spirit."

He dropped the gift box, and it fell to the ground.

Dijon would be sitting on the bench. "Wonder... what I will do now... seems that days have gotten quite boring for me..."

Suddenly he heard a dropping sound. "Huh? did I hear something?"

He turned his head and saw a yellow gift box lying on the ground. "Is that a box for gifts?"

He was curious and decided to go near the gift box, sitting on his knees, and looking at the gift box more carefully.

"Strange... it's not natural for someone just to randomly treat a gift box like some kind of useless junk..."

He took a short breath. "Fine... I will open it... but I swear to my head that whatever thing is inside will not become a part of me."

Dijon opened the gift box and suddenly saw a strange clock with a shade of dark blue.

"Is that a watch...?"

He suddenly noticed a note inside. "What's this note...?"

He took a serious look at it and began to read.

"The mortal who wears it, this accessory shall be his/her's forever.

This accessory will not take effect until the user activates a certain activation.

The user might see supernatural things, such as spiritual beings, that don't belong to exist in the mortal world.

Once the activation happens, the user will automatically become The 'Wild Balancer'. If the user does not have powers before the activation, they might inherit the power of 'Null Soulner'.

When the user dies, the accessory gets destroyed, and their soul will not go to the afterlife."

Dijon was totally shocked by this. "What even is that thing... that doesn't even look like a gift...!"

"I should take it somewhere else in the home so no one could find it..."

"Wait... what if I take the risk? But then those last words about when you die..."

"I should go home and think about what I'll do with this watch..."

Dijon took the watch with the gift box and decided to go home.

Once Dijon arrived, he was welcomed by his own mom.

"Oh, you're back."

"Right, mom, I don't need to eat for now... I'm already full."

"That's awesome, Dijon, you're becoming an independent person."

"Alright, thanks, mom."

Dijon was thinking more about that strange watch he'd found in the park. He decided to go upstairs and put the watch in a secret place where no one would find it.

"Maybe I should take care of this thing later..."

Dijon went to bed, and soon he was asleep.
