Perhaps it is important to point out that my mother tongue is definitely not English, so there are bound to be grammatical errors, for which I apologize. In addition, I also suffer from dyslexia so errors may also creep into the writing that way. I am not going to apologize for the latter. That would be as stupid as asking someone condemned to a wheelchair to stand up for the national anthem. You're born with it and you make the best of it and that's that.

What I have noticed is that unlike other sites such as Archives of our own there is only room here to indicate four characters who play a role in the story and you can't indicate what character traits they have. Hence a quick list of the main characters and their traits.

1) Of course Lucifer himself who is paired with Ella Lopez in my story. They are unfortunately not the main characters but they are definitely featured and here and there is a POV that comes from them only.
2) Amenadiel who in my story is a real treacherous bastard.
3) Chloe Decker who really doesn't look good in my story.
4) God who is a tyrannical murderer, left and right killing his own children, the Angels.
5) Daniel Espinoza and Beatrice Espinoza.
6) Gabriel in my story is male.
7) Michael, is Lucifer's non-identical twin and absolutely nothing like the Michael from the TV series.
8) Not to mention my original character who is the actual protagonist of the story along with the love of his life.

My story takes place in two universes. The first eighteen years of my protoganist's life takes place in the universe of his eternal love. The following years in let's say our universe and then again a mix of the two universes.

Aaron Sorking once put the following words in the mouth of one of his characters in The West Wing, Sam Seaborn the speech-writer to President Bartlet: " Good writers borrow from other writers. Great writers just steal it!"

And in no way do I mean to say that I am a great writer. Far from it. I just want to say that I borrowed bits and pieces from various stories that have appeared left and right on different fan fiction sites. Threw all that into a blender with my own original ideas and what came out has developed over time into this story. I originally had three completely different story lines in mind that unwittingly merged in my brain into one damn long story. Not as long as a Stephen King or Tom Clancy novel with over a thousand pages but LONG nonetheless. Originally I had panned to publish one chapter a week but since I am sitting on a mountain of sixty chapters I will pick up the pace at which they appear for now.

(Note in between, I think I underestimated myself a bit, I'm at about half half way through the story now and I'm already at the page 964, oeps...)

I planned to insert a Flashback chapter after a chapter titled "Who comforts God?" To give a little more background to my protagonist. Again OEPS. Before I knew it I was at 208 pages and so I had to abandon my intention.

Am I a Lucifer fan? Of course I am or I wouldn't venture into my own piece of fan fiction. I am a avid reader of other fans' stories on this great site and others. Some stories I like better than others but that's true for everyone I guess. Unfortunately, what annoys me immensely is that some people start a story full of enthusiasm, a story that grabs me from the first sentence and then suddenly seem to disappear off the face of the earth and leave me feeling, needing, to know how it ends. And mainly those where Lucifer and Ella are paired. Not only because some of the stories look like completely fleshed out novels but also because the angle is simply fantastic. Let me also say that I sincerely hope I am not offending anyone here as I have borrowed bits and pieces here and there. Put my own spin on it with the end result being " THE ANTICHRIST".

As said not 100% original in its basic idea but still more than original enough, hopefully readable and enjoyable. I kept the some of the original characters, of course. BUT I changed certain traits of their character. In my little universe, season 5 and 6 don't exist, so never happened. Why? Because I personally, I repeat personally, felt that the writers of the series went too far off the path. You will notice that some small parts of season 4 also deviate from the original series. Why? Because I say so, this is my universes. And because it fit better in my story line and better with the changes in personality of some characters. Again this is my personal feeling and taste, so please take no offense.

We are talking about Lucifer, King of Hell here. So not a wimp who lets the first person walk all over him. Agreed, traumatized and with enough PTSD to make an army of therapists drool. How could it be otherwise with what was done to him? If he was a wimp I don't think he would have ever dared to start a rebellion in Heaven. If he was a wimp why would the world see him as the ultimate evil. Not that I am putting Lucifer down as " The Satan" in this story. Far from it. But in the series there seemed to be no end to the constant betrayal of what is clearly the protagonist of the TV-show. Chloe, Mazakeen, Amenadiel and finally Eve seemed to pull a number out of a top hat time after time again to see who was next to betray or hurt Lucifer. I cannot imagine that after the debacle with the Demons' rebellion and its unraveling, Lucifer would simply accept this. He does not accept it from God which was clearly demonstrated by his taunting against his absent apparently deaf-mute father. The King of Hell who according to his own statement about the different passage of time in Hell must have sat on the throne for millions of years? Who brutally put down countless rebellions of the Demons. This Lucifer would have swallowed all that treachery as deserved? A Demon like Mazakeen might have survived an initial betrayal but to do it again and again and again? Well, no chance in Hell!

This contradiction has always bothered me. On the one hand, it is clear that he is absolutely convinced that his punishment is undeserved because of his ramblings against God and what he shares with Linda in his therapy. On the other hand, he swallows the behavior of Chloe and others as if he deserved to be betrayed or hurt because he is the Devil. On the one hand he says he is not evil but punishes evil and on the other he accepts the betrayal as if he were the ultimate evil and therefore deserves the betrayal and punishment . This contradiction did not and does not sit well with me. There must be another reason for his meek behavior and his reactions to the betrayal. So I made one up. And I changed his behavior a bit. This without losing his obvious good and pure nature. He just needs a little help to restore his strength and authority as the Lightbringer, the original rebel.
