The weather was warm, and the breeze passed softly through the dissent bamboo forest a distance near him. The beautiful sound of a bamboo flute plays along with the tinkling sound of water flowing down a waterfall behind his back playing harmoniously as he breathes in deeply to continue the meditation.

He has been at it for hours. Some may say it is a little too much but he would take it into consideration if it wasn't for his indeed determination of rectifying the thoughts that roam his mind and spirit that cause him to not sleep. It has been a few minutes when his stomach begins to gamble which ruins his meditation routine and now in search of calories, luckily there was a whole plate of honey glaze toasts and red grapes placed on a wooden table near the koi pond just a couple of meters in front of him that can soothe his appetite. He rubbed his tummy and stood up from the pillow that his rump was resting on before walking his way to the treat that has his name written on it.

He grabbed one piece of whole grain bread with the sticky sweet goo on top that oozed as he took it to his mouth. His snack time was shorting when he heard soft footsteps approaching him at a fast pace. He gulped and turned his head to the luscious forest that he was in a few minutes ago but was now silent, the footsteps became more audible and rapid and his anxiety was at its peak. He sighs in relief when the footsteps stop but gasps when a strangely tall elderly muscular red eyed deer wearing a black shozoku with a golden dragon katana sword in her right hand.

Before he could say a word a shuriken flew across his face before he leaped back when the stranger swung her blade toward his face. He blocks it and returns the blow with a swift kick to the torso and a right hook to the face. When he was about to reach for another punch the ninja throws a smoke bomb at his face which blind him and punches him to a stone pole that supports the roof of his meditation space.

He rubbed his face, opened his eyes and coughed up blood from his mouth, and managed to get himself back up. He knew now this deer is a menace and needs to be defeated immensely. He grabbed his bamboo sword before the deer stuck again, their blades stroked each other. Their eyes fixated at each other, glazing, trying to shock fear into each other as their battle commenced.

The sword battle continued as both swordsmen's skills were strongly matched, each letting a blow that the other blocked or missed but a few times they did let off minor wounds to the abdomen which tore the fabric revealing their bare chest and stomach. The elderly warrior left more injuries on the younger warrior as she was more experienced with the sport, unlike his younger opponent who constantly blocked each of her attacks without realizing it took most of his energy and focus to fire an attack. The pain he felt all over his body was very overwhelming to bear and accidentally tripped on a piece of rock while backing up from his opponent's katana from reaching his neck and fell on his back. His arms quiver as he was trying to get back but the pain he felt in his tired legs wouldn't prevail and he collapsed. The deer slowly approaching him while laughing wickedly at his unconscious body and grabbed him with her freed hand, holding him close to her face before-

"AHHHH!"

He screamed as he regained consciousness and sat up on his bed where he glanced around the darkness in the room, trying to detect any sudden moment of his authenticity encountered with cold sweat coming down his weary eyes. He sighs in relief that he wasn't a dangerous present in his room, but his roommate turned to a comfortable side of his bed while snoring loudly across the room. He rubbed his eyes and let out a yawn before pulling his blinds to see it was still dark outside with street lamps still actively lighting the empty street of Hundred street .

"Still a few hours before school starts ..great". He said in thought when he checked his digital alarm clock, which read a quarter after midnight. Hed placed it back on the nightstand, then lay on his bed and glances up at the ceiling, wondering--

"WHAT! … THE HECK! ….WAS THAT!?

Usually, this doesn't occur to him but only one time when he was a child but that was when a brand-new horror movie was published on television The Bloody Beast. He still remembers the part of the movie that involved a woman being eaten alive by her breast and red blood spattering everywhere the creature devoured it like a bowl of spaghetti.

Even though the blood was fake it made his stomach turn. He shook his head to erase the memory from his mind and now wanted a nice cold beverage since his throat felt a bit dry. He put on some Pj shorts and grabbed a glow stick before leaving his room to the hallway. He walked down the long hall every few seconds shining his low green torch on everything that distinguished deer with a katana. He quietly passed a room that his pig best friend owns, with a poster of her favorite scientist Dr.Hogs hanging on her door that always has a meaningful saying like …

"It's okay for one of your experiments to fail but doesn't mean you fail as a scientist. The more you try, the better you will get your outstanding results as future scientists." The poster had Dr.hog himself handing out a white lab coat with a huge smile on his face.

"Wise wisdom to give my nerdy friend Dr.H, she needs all the support she gets to become a great one. He whispers to the poster as if it was the real him.

Like at times he would get confused with her scientific terms and playfully tease her for not understanding, but he loves her and is happy for her if she does indeed become a scientist someday. Even if he doesn't say much. He finally reaches the kitchen and opens the refrigerator door to grab a half-empty jug of skimmed milk and a mug from the cupboard to pour the milk. Before he could place the jug back, he heard footsteps approaching from behind which made his heart shiver.

The sound of the hidden figure's steps sounds very familiar to the one in his dream but more rotund and slower. His slow but shaking hand grabbed the glow stick and lifted it up the pitiful black room to see if it was the deer but sight in relief because it was his tall grandma in her red cherry flower night robe and Pj pants with an old bamboo cane in her right hand.

"Oh, it was you in my kitchen making all that noise Archer? And why are you in the dark, you will hurt your eyes don't you know? She said, flipping on the light switch which obliterated the looming darkness surrounding them.

"Oh, sorry about that Mimi, I didn't mean to wake you, I just need some milk then I am off to bed hehe." He chuckled lightly at the last part which made Mimi a little suspicious.

"Mhmm, well finish drinking your milk and come with me outside for a smoke."

"Uhh... Mimi, I can't smoke yet." He replied, sipping on his cold drink as she chuckled.

"I was talking about me boy!, but I do need to speak with you privately about something. Come on." The elderly pooh bear said consistently, walking toward the patio door with her grandsons help, walking along the way by leaving a hand on her back and another hovering around the front just in case she trips.

The weather seems pretty nice outside for an autumn night. It wasn't too cold for him to wear a coat but for his grandmother not so much since he wore her night robe before coming out. She slowly sat down on one of the chairs with a pillow and Archer sat across from her with his mug on the table by the ashtray.

She pulled out a large brown cigar from her pocket and placed it to her lips then brought out a lighter to light the foot of it then inhale deeply that dark smoke was already leaving her nose. Archer found the sight very amusing, even though he knows it is not healthy for her from what Peggy has been telling her constantly but she eventually stops lecturing her, like this one time she was making herself a drink of a special type of whisky that date back in the 1800s when Peggy came down and saw her pour it into a large cup.

She noticed her from the doorway of the kitchen before grabbing her cup and bottle and leaving the kitchen to the living room without a word from Peggy who was more interested in eating an apple from the fruit basket.

"So.. what's going on in your mind grandson?" Mimi asked when she finally exhaled a thick stream of dark smoke.

"What do you mean? I have nothing to talk about.'' He replied, grasping his mug and sipping it much longer while she looked dead at him which made him sweat a little.

"Boy! I have raised you for nearly eighty years and you still don't think I can tell something wrong with my only damn grandchild? I expect better from you." She playfully scolds him while inhaling another puff before exhaling out of her system.

"Point taken and I do … have something to say to you Mimi, even though it is quite awkward." He said, scratching the back of his head as his cheeks turned red.

"You can tell me anything, I promise I will not be angry or even laugh at you." She said, giving him an honest grin that showed her slightly yellow teeth.

He breathes in deeply trying to figure out how he could tell her about the deer and how it came to his dream tonight which now causes him not to want to sleep and hopefully not her making fun of him for this stupid dream . He exhaled.

"I…I.. had a night terror tonight about me being killed by a huge creepy deer and now am having trouble going back to sleep without it happening again ..okay?!."

He finally explained, turning his head away from the upcoming laughter and teasing that she would bring but she didn't say anything. She averted her glance from his and took another puff from her cigar, without saying anything for the next few minutes. It took until the cigar was halfway finished she spoke.

"Uhm ..okay.. thank god you say that instead of you've been masturbating to piggy porn because I'm not the right one to talk about that shit with you!" She said, chuckling, putting her fingers on her temple while her grandson's blue eyes widened and his cheeks turned even more crimson.

"WHAT! I- uhh don't m-m-m MASTURBATE whatever the heck that means."

"Oh, you don't? ..man I thought you did since... Peggy is the only girl here and you boys can be horny as hell but … never mind." Archer put his head in his hands trying to erase this moment from his head as to his grandma who accidentally gave him a pre-bird and bees talk which he never thought about but he couldn't really blame her for supposing. His grandma pondered for a moment before snapping her fingers when something came to her mind.

"Mhmm, you had a night terror you say?..well it may be a bad dream or even …a vision."

"A vision?" He said, raising an eyebrow and his cheeks turn back to their original color.

"A vision!" She repeated, slowly moving back to her seat as she puffed another steam of smoke.

"Ohhh, Mimi you mean visions are some type of superstition that old people make for children to be good right?"

"No, that's not what a vision is…god you remind me so much of your great grandfather who couldn't stop listening to idiotic people and listen to her own daughter's advice."

"What?"

"Uh, the point is your dream sounds more like a vision to me because my dreams are like yours. Always showing me things that I couldn't even imagine happening." She said, which aroused Arther with inquisitiveness.

"What has it been showing you, Mimi?"

"Well, after you were born and your parents dropped you off at my place I had a dream about you being extremely happy for your life on this earth. For me, this was quite bizarre because how could you be that happy without your parents raising you, not your grandmother who can die at any moment while you are at school."

"Mimi, please don't talk about you dying, my parents left when I was a baby, it was bad enough but you are different." He said with a little gloom in his voice.

"I know sweetie, I know but it didn't end there, I kept having the same dream every night every time I would wake up in the middle of the night to check on you babies in the nursery sleeping happily in the cradles when I realized what my vision implied..."

"What?" He said as she placed her almost finished cigar on the ashtray and scrambled her hand through her pocket. She pulled out a small folded white piece of paper before handing it to him. He looked at her for a moment before slowly unfolding. He gasped.

"Is … is .. that us?" He said while holding the photo in his hands. The photo showed them when they were a bit older enjoying their strawberry and blueberry-flavored mooncakes while giggling at each as the filling spat all over their mouths when they took their first bite.

"Oh yes, I still remember that day you kids came home with those tasty mooncakes from Mr.Wong's, and you jerks didn't bother to bring me one," She said pouting " Oh how I wish I could have his famous double fulling sardines and apple mooncake with coconut whiff cream mhmm."

"Eww, but oddly delicious, why are you showing me this, it's just a picture of us having some cake, what the big deal?"

"Look at the photo again, what do you see? Is there a specific someone in there that was in my vision and he is dare I say happy?" Archer looked at the picture again, searching for any other details that were missed, but the only thing that was close to what his grandmother said was him smiling at his friends while nibbling on his mooncake. He sighs.

"The only thing I see is me smiling at the guys and…oh I get it now." He said, glancing at the picture of him and his friends with a smile across his face before placing it against his chest.

"See you are getting it now, vision can be very confusing at times with its tradition of giving us little information to understand properly. But if we just sit and focus our minds on the things that happen in our life we can finally analyze them for a better future."

"I get Mimi, how did you get sooo wise? Is it because you're old?" Archer said, placing the picture in his pocket.

"No, you can say I have been taught a lot in my youth or it's my grandma's power, I can see through your future because of my old physics power pow pow pow"ugh, ugh, ugh!!." Her sentence was shortened when she went into a coughing fit. Archer quickly got up from his chair and helped her cough up some mucus in the trash can beside her.

"You okay Mimi? Do you want to go in?" He asked concernedly, rubbing her back.

"No thank you, I will stay out here to finish my cigar but you can do me a favor and go in and get some sleep because you have school tomorrow."

"Oh, right ..school alright I should be going to bed and praying I don't have a test tomorrow with Mrs. Lee's class…. Well, goodnight Mimi I love you ." He said as he wrapped his arms around her body to give her a quick hug before grabbing his empty mug and opening the door and closing it when he was inside.

"I love you too." She whispers, grasping back her cigar and puffing the last bit of her stress relief when she notices the picture that she gave to Archer must've fallen on the floor when he left. She arched her back to pick it up and dust it off with her freed hand.

"Hehe, how many times do I have to tell that boy to be careful with his property, hehe but I will give it back to him tomorrow." The old woman sat back in her chair, took other cigars from her pocket, and placed the photo on the table before lighting her last cigar for the rest of the night.
