I own nothing from Harry Potter or Fate. Both belong respectively to J.K Rowling and Type Moon.
Peeves is what the people of Hogwarts called a poltergeist. An aberration of either spirits and emotions. He is what many called a collective of spirit or emotions. And they would be true. Unlike the ghosts of Hogwarts who are transparent and hollow as well the spirit of the decease, Peeves is a collection of emotions worth more than most of the Hogwarts ghost combine with how old it is.
It or their, first appearance appear during the time when the eights successor of Hogwarts, which during those time were called, was still present, he came out in an explosion of colors, laughter's and the best of all, joy! They are the true understanding of child students!
But at last, not everything it is seems to be. Days turn to weeks, week to months and months to years. As the students population grew, Peeves once believe that they could cheered every students up. With pranks and jokes and silly games but when their Mother, Hogwarts to others, began to allow ghosts to come and stay, many of them sees him as what he was. Not the collective set of children purest emotions but a poltergeist. But who cares for what they think! They are a child incarnate, who cares what the oldies think of them.
Only... he hope it would be like that. Children's grow. And when they grow, they became more adult-like, responsible. Of course they knew that having fun and being happy is a good thing but... when you grow, you tend to forget. And so, no matter how many times they tried to make friends with other children, they grow up. And when Pure blood propaganda begin to rise after the defeat of Hyrule the Blind, the idea of children of magical descend being happy had been born.
Politics, politics, politics. The ideal of pureblood and what they believe in. The poltergeist once remember what it was like when Hogwarts was truly for all magical and not just for humans alone. But those who believe that the purity of ones blood is more important than ones time of childhood, Peeves change. They change and they HATE it! The many pureblood that believe in this either grew or shrunk but most if the time, they grew.
Politics, politics, politics! He hated it. Not only the teachers either ignoring it, encourage it or just outright oblivious, Peeves had no idea. He came from the understanding of children emotions. They sadness, happiness and everything in between. But now, not only the adults ideal had corrupted a good percentage of the children that went to Hogwarts, they too corrupted Peeves. But Hogwarts did her best. Like any mother, be it animals, humans or other things, a mother's protective instinct is strong, so Hogwarts tried to help Peeves.
Succeed was there but the damage was done. If the ancient school could cried, the halls will be flooded. The ancient castle tried many things. Everything it could think of but couldn't do. Not without the headmaster or the keepers help.
But the damage was done. Peeves, the collective joyful emotions of children is now slightly twisted. Tye last straw was the arrival of Tom Riddle. While the boy wasn't born evil, he grown twisted. Like Peeves but much more. Voldemort was evil but Tom was twisted.
But some hope came along. Peeves once wanted to try to prank a auburn red haired boy only to feel calm in his presence. The poltergeist couldn't understand why. The one other time he met that boy was when they met him before the sorting. He feel that of steel but with a hint of fae. They couldn't understand but when they asked Hogwarts, all the castle could reply was "to try to befriended him.". And he did. He tried to talk to that said boy when he was lost one time and some other time when he was with a raven black haired girl with emerald green eyes. Or the blonde ice queen or the Metamorphmagus. Or even with the book nerd and the Weasley.
No matter what they felt calm. Relax and happy. Like a child should be. Even when the boy of steel other friends were there.
Maybe being a child isn't so bad after all. The boy of steel was the kindest and they like that. She like that.
Yeah... being a child is really is the best.
I have no idea onto why I chose to wrote this when I suppose to be focusing on the quidditch/third floor chapter. It just a random Omake I guess but it still connected to the story. Not the main plot.
But still, do you like it? Was right? Just write down on what you think about it.
