Chapter 78: The Gathering.

Reach Imperial Shipyards.

The [Napoleon Bonaparte] had made emergency repairs in France and made the hyperspace jump to Reach for more intensive repairs. The [Nobunaga] had returned to the moon for resupplies as it was aiding in the humanitarian mission in Paris. It had been a whole 2 days since the attack, and the world was changed yet again forever. The footage from Paris was impossible to suppress and the world bore witness to a lot of Imperial weapons. Most of the world had no idea just how advanced the Eternal Empire was till footage of that night started being uploaded on the internet. The video showing the destruction of a few IS drones from the Mobile suits was shocking, the footage of the star fighter taking down IS units was more shocking, but the average troopers or just the battle droids with their blaster rifles being able to take down an IS was the most horrifying part. No longer the main weapon of militaries around the world, the IS was just another weapon system and it could be defeated with relative ease.

The logistical might of the Empire was another thing the world was shocked at. For most nations the ability to muster 500 thousand troops for combat was near impossible and the ability to get them to travel vast distances for power projection was limited to very few. Only the Empire was able to deploy so many in a short time frame. There was also the ability of the Empire to bombard targets from orbit with their warships. The fact the Empire was able to target a moving convoy of several trucks while on the move from orbit was leaked. That level of precision at that distance was unheard of. Then there were the Evangelions. The Empire revealed that it had at least 3 of them, based on the 03 number Seth's unit had. And that they generated some sort of powerful, near impenetrable barrier. The recovery operation had allowed a lot of outsiders to get a good look at the Evangelions.

There was also the human cost of the attack. Immediately following the bioterrorist attack, nations around the world sent humanitarian aid to the wounded nation. The UN had a meeting to discuss the bioterrorism event and to discuss the deployment of the weapon of mass destruction the Empire had used. The UN Security Council would have discussed the matter, but the French representative had vetoed the vote, nulling the matter each time it was brought up.

The fact the Empire had a weapon system meant to destroy organic life only while leaving its killer robot unharmed was more of an issue to the world on a political level than the massive loss of life to some members of the international community. However the loss of life was devastating to Europe as a whole. The economic impact of the attack with billions of dollars worth of damage was bad enough, but the loss of close to 100 thousands of its working class people would be felt for decades to come. Most economists predicted the French economy would enter a recession. However there were efforts to combat this. The international aid flooding into the nation would lessen the impact. The Empire would assist with the rebuilding and continued to house the displaced French until they could return to their homes. Around 10,000 prefabricated homes had already been deployed and the Empire planned to deploy at least a million, but it would take time to get it set up. It would also donate hundreds of thousands tons of raw material. The Empire was sitting on a stockpile of raw minerals from digging up the moon, and when they built the Mars droid factories. As for food, Seth had purchased billions of dollars worth of food from Leanbox and would deliver as soon as it was possible. Reach had massive farming operations set up but they had just planted the crops and would take time for it to grow. But they would reach the French as soon as they were ripe for harvesting.

The French were reeling from the attack, but they were a strong and proud people. They would recover and they would have revenge. The French government had announced a major increase in defense spending and would reach a 400 billion dollars budget even thought the economic future of the nation was uncertain, the bill passed the surviving houses of government easily.. Immediately following the attacks citizens lined up at recruitment offices to enlist and the French government had vowed to hunt down those responsible for the attack. The attack had shifted the view the people of France had on the Empire. Before the attack, approval of formal relations was around 43% and approval of the Empire itself was hovering around 35%. After the attack, that number had jumped to 96% of having formal relations and 92% of the French people approved of the Empire. The fact the Empire responded so quickly and as fiercely as it did would not be forgotten any time soon.

France, as a member of NATO, had called on an emergency meeting of the organization. Due to the massive loss of life, the French representative requested the organization enact Article 5 of the Washington Treaty, the Umbrella attack on Paris would be regarded as an attack on all member states. The world's nations sent their condolences to the French people and promised to send aid.

The damaged Star Destroyer docked on the orbital shipyard and a swarm of repair droids launched from the ring platform. They began to work on the damaged ship. Seth wanted to use the shipyards on the moon for the repairs, but right now many governments were watching it. Several space agencies, both government run and private sector, had launched satellites that were circling the moon. The Lunar defenses had detected the usage of IR sensors as well as other forms of advanced observation. They could use a storm of GN particles to jam the spy satellites. Seth would have ordered their destruction, but Lelouch had recommended against such actions. By international law, the destruction of a satellite could be seen as an act of war and they were trying to appeal to the international community.

They had erected covers over the ships under construction on the moon's surface to hide the process from outside actors but the repair yard didn't have them yet. Leaving Reach the only viable option. I was impossible for other nations see what was over 10 light years away after all. Though to the world that was watching the [Napoleon Bonaparte] depart for Reach, the ship had suddenly disappeared when it jumped to hyperspace.

Seeing that his ship was taken care of, he entered the hangar where he met up with the French delegation. In a sign of good faith Seth had invited a delegation of the French to Reach since their plans were canceled. The group included an international news crew. It took a little work, but they got the communication devices working with the Empire's system to allow real time communications for a news segments. The group included the Dunois family, since the French president assumed that the family were close with the Empire as well as members of the French government.

Once in the hangar, his personal [Theta] class shuttle opened its ramp and was waiting for her passengers to board. Signaling for the group to enter, Seth boarded the shuttle and took the pilot seat. In the seat directly to his right was Charlotte, who had a smile beaming across her face along with her skin seemingly glowing. Directly behind them was her father who was glaring dagger behind Seth's head. Though that's to be somewhat expected after what he walked into yesterday.

The night following the Battle of Paris.

Seth had worked tirelessly in getting the humanitarian mission in the city going following the cleansing of the city. The operation was well underway and was being handled by those under his command. Seeing that there wasn't anything more he could do for now, he decided to retire for the night. Having arrived at the captain quarters of the Star Destroyer, he was not surprised to see a certain blonde sitting on the bed.

"Hey." The man said with exhaustion clearly in his voice. Charlotte noticed his body language suddenly shift. He had walked upright holding his head up high. He stood tall and confidence radiated from him. Now his shoulder has slumped and his facial muscles grew relaxed. He pulled out the chair at the desk in the room and sat down.

"Busy day?" Charlotte asked.

"Yeah, meeting after meeting coordinating the relief effort. I'm drained mentally." He said as he began to rub one his shoulders, only to feel a pair of hands start to rub both of them.

"It's rough out there, but I want you to know that people are appreciating your hard work." Charlotte herself had been helping in the relief effort in any way she could. Mostly helping in the soup kitchen the French government had set up after doing the tasks the government had given her as an IS pilot. The simple act of giving out a warm meal to those that had suffered so much was impactful. She saw life return to the eyes of those who received this small act of kindness.

"I'm glad my work is helping." He said before he got up from the seat and headed towards the bathroom. Charlotte saw the door close behind him before she heard the sound of the shower running.

"He is working really hard. What can I do to help him?" The young blonde thought to herself to no one in particular, but she forgot she wasn't alone.

"Mistress, you could try to comfort him the only way a woman can." Jeanne said within Charlotte's mind, causing the pilot to jump up in surprise.

"Mistress, are you alright? I'm sorry for scaring you." The smart AI quickly spoke.

"Sorry Jeanne, I'm not used to you speaking in my mind just yet. Wait, what did you just say?" Having only just received the artificial being, she was still getting used to the second presence. It took her a moment to register what the AI had said.

"You know what you tried the other night. If you try again this time I estimate a 88% chance of success." The AI gleamed cheerfully as a blush began to spread on the girl's face.

"But the last time he rejected my advance."

"Only because there was still a military operation going on. He wanted to take you then and there, but he had other priorities. Now is your best chance to get a jumpstart on becoming one of his wives. Tomorrow this ship is heading back to Reach. You need to seize the moment sister!" The yellow AI said as she materialized appearing in a cheerleading outfit while doing a small cheer routine. This caused Charlotte's blush to increase to a new deeper shade of red but she brought up the hologram menu for her nanosuit.

Seth had used the shower as a chance to gather his thoughts. He had stayed in the shower longer than he should have and finished up. Grabbing a towel to clean himself off, doing his night routine, and using his nanosuit to make pajamas he opened the door back into the bedroom.

He immediately spotted the young blonde wearing some sort of poodle dog outfit that only covered a small portion of her body. He had to blink a few times and rub his eyes to make sure he wasn't hallucinating. The two looked at each other for several seconds before Seth crawled on the bed, and got close to Charlotte. She was on her back, staring into the orange eyes of the man she loved.

"Char, I said you don't have to do this-"

"But I want to do this." The young blonde said cutting off the Emperor, his only response was stunned silence. The silence between the two continued for a few moments longer before Seth pressed the black collar on his neck, causing the nanosuit pajamas to disappear. Charlotte soon felt a pair of lips on hers before she felt him kiss her neck, then her collar bone...

Charlotte had opened her eyes to find herself in a warm embrace. Looking at the source of the arms she spotted Seth sleeping peacefully with a smile on his face. Her slight movements woke up Seth. His eyes started to open till they met an amethyst gaze. The young French woman soon felt his embrace tighten before he planted a kiss on her cheek.

"Morning." His voice said with a slight amount of grogginess. Charlotte responded by giving him a quick peck on the lip. She would have gone farther had the door to their room suddenly open.

"Emperor Fairs, sorry for interruption but there are a few things that require your immedi- oh my." The current president of France said as she had been escorted to the room after being given permission from the AI. Behind the president was the one person Charlotte didn't want to see her like this the most.

"CHARLOTTE?! You bastard! What the hell are you doing to my-" Albert Dunois was at first not able to process the visual in front of him, or rather he did not want to process what he was seeing. Once he realized he could not ignore what was in front of him, he was filled with an emotion that any father would feel seeing their daughter in such a state. Before he was able to charge into the room, he felt very sleepy. The allure of sleep's embrace was overwhelming and the CEO of the Dunios corporation fell unconscious. As he fell towards the cold metal floor of the warship an invisible force held him before he made contact.

Present Day.

Landing on the surface of Reach, the delegation departed from the shuttle and were in awe of their surroundings. The group was in awe at their surrounding buildings. Taken inspiration from the buildings Seth saw during the fall of the original Reach and some inspiration from Alderaanian architects. His version of New Alexandria was coming along nicely. To the French delegation the sight of a human city on a foreign world was beyond awe inspiring. They were soon approached by a man and a woman in Eternal Empire officer clothing.

"Members of the French Delegation, we have prepared a tour for you. Please follow us." The man said in French to the group. All but Seth, and the Dunois family members traveled with the tour group. They went towards the tram station and a hover rail cart arrived to transport them to the nearby base. Lelouch had been very hard at work over the past few days, but he still was able to fit in the interrogation of their newest captured Phantom Task member and had him transported to the homeworld of the Empire.

Having arrived at the base after their short trip, they made their way towards their destination. They arrived at the medical wing of the base and approached a room that had two Imperial troopers in full gear guarding the door. They both saluted their Emperor before stepping aside allowing the group to enter. Inside the room on a medical bed was Theo, who was recovering from the force lightning attack. He was watching a news feed from a holoscreen on the wall.

Turning his head to look at who entered his room, the heart rate monitor began to spike as he stared at the Emperor. He instinctively attempted to move away but the cuff on his wrist impedated that. This caused him to panic even more.

"NO! Stay away!" Theo cried out as he focused his vision on the young man who was slowly approaching.

"Relax, Imperial law prevents me from torturing prisoners. Publically at least." Seth mumbled that last part to himself, but he was pretty sure the captured man had overheard him. "There's no need for me to force any information out of you. You were very willing to give us any information Lelouch asked you." Seth said as he brought out a hologram recording of his interrogation where he was seemingly handing over all the information on Phantom Task he had.

"Why are you here?" Theo sputtered out, with fear clearly in his voice.

"This will be the last time Mr. Dunois will ever see you. The French government has allowed us to handle your imprisonment and you will receive a trial. However, it is likely you will be sentenced to life in prison. I wanted to give Mr. Dunois the opportunity to 'talk' with you one last time after you tried to fuck with his company and threaten his family." Seth said the word talk while giving air quotes. A smirk grew on the older man's face.

"Oh we will definitely be having a talk." Albert said as he got closer while the group moved out the room. Seth approached one of the troopers.

"Only interfere if the prisoner's life is endangered."

"Yes, your majesty." The trooper responded as he entered the room and the door was locked.

"I don't know about you girls but I feel famished. Wanna grab a bite?" Seth said to the three girls. He told them that Albert would be sent to the palace at a later time so they would head there now.

Arriving at Akikaze's palace, the girls saw that the large palace was mostly completed, but still had a few sections under construction. It took heavy inspiration from the Alderaan royal palace and Planeptune's basilicom. Entering the main gates, they saw the elegant halls of off white marble with lights running along the edges of the rooms. Square pillars of the same marble color lined the halls leading to several staircases. Seth led them towards one of the stairs and headed towards one of the dining halls. It was one of the smaller ones, but still had an intricate interior. He called over a droid and told them to order whatever they wanted. The droid had a few small devices that it placed on the table and a hologram appeared in French with all sorts of food.

"Order anything you want. Albert should be here shortly, I just received word he left the hospital wing and is headed here. I'll return in about an hour. Should be plenty of time for you all to have a meal."

"Where are you going?" Charlotte asked, surprised by his sudden departure.

"I wanna spend some time with my newborn son." Seth said as he made his way towards the nearby turbolift.

The lift arrived at the upper levels of the palace. This section was the private quarter for the Imperial family and would in time be set for Akikaze's eventual family when that time came. For now it was the safest place to have his newborn son be at while Neptune continues to recover.

"Seth, Master Drallig is requesting your presence when you have a moment." Blaze spoke into his mind.

"Hmm, did Aki do something again?" The Emperor asked since the Master Jedi had only recently contacted him when it regarded his son or Kanzashi training, but it was mostly the former. Most matters regarding the Jedi were handled by Serra, Drallig, and Scout.

"It appears to be regarding several of the young Jedi. Some sort of singing is being heard by the group?" Flame chimed in as she read the message the Jedi had sent.

"Singing? What? Tell him I'll be there in about 90 mins." Seth spoke out loud in his mind as the lift arrived at the floor.

Private living quarters of the palace.

Walking down the main hall, he arrived in front of a door, the sensor at the top of the door let out a blue light that quickly scanned him, and soon slid up to open the path. As he walked into the room, a pair of blue eyes locked onto him. Seth noticed a head of blonde hair charge at him at the last moment, and moved his body in time to capture the child that tried to tackle him in the stomach.

"PEA PUN- Ah!" The young girl yelped as she was captured mid flight. Seth held up Peashy as she looked confused as she was stopped.

"Looks like I caught a naughty little bee. P-ko, you promised to stop this. You haven't been doing this to Neptune have you?"

"No, Neptuna still sick and she's got the baby with her." These words put a smile on the Emperor's face. "It seems that Peashy can put the brakes on her antics." He thought out loud to no one in particular. He had been genuinely worried Peashy would do something to harm Neptune while in her recovery period unintentionally since she was a small child, but Neptune had wanted Peashy with her during this time. The other goddess and her younger sister had taken up a rotation to help Neptune by showing up on different days to help the new mother.

"I'm very happy to hear that P-ko." Seth said as he brought in the little girl for a hug. He felt her little arms wrap around his neck and a quick peck on his cheek.

"I missed you papa." Peashy said softly as she buried her head into Seth's shoulder. She felt his hug become a little bit tighter but it wasn't hurting. Seth soon heard a rumbling sound coming from the small girl's stomach.

"P-ko, did you eat lunch yet?" The girl shook her head saying no.

"Nepgear is working in the office and Neptuna is sleeping with the baby. I wanted to be a big girl and not bother them." Peashy said sheepishly as her stomach let out another rumble. Seth felt a little guilty that Peashy went a little hungry.

"What would you like to eat? I'll make you anything you want!"

"Mac and Cheese!" Peashy gleefully said.

"Coming right up!" Seth said as he made his way towards the kitchen. It didn't take long for him to whip up homemade Mac and cheese for the young girl. Once the oven let out a ring, he pulled the glass baking dish out and served Peashy along with himself a bowl.

"Careful it's hot." Seth said as he sat down at the table with his adoptive daughter. He watched as Peashy grabbed her spoon and blew on the hot food before putting it in her mouth.

"Mmmm tasty!" Clearly enjoying the food, Peashy continued to chow down on her lunch. Happy seeing her eating, Seth grabbed some pepper and sprinkle it on his bowl before he took a bite. They ate together, until a third voice entered the room.

"Peashy, I'm so sorry for taking so l-" Nepgear said as she stepped out of the office and entered the living room that was connected to the kitchen. She arrived in the living and saw Peashy eating with Seth, clearly surprised. "Ah, Seth you're back from your trip. I thought it was going to be another 2 days till you returned."

"Yo! You've been busy with Planeptune?" He asked.

"Yes, it's been a little hectic at the moment. We're planning a concert in the near future. Just getting it all organized is not going smoothly. On top of other things I need to do. I didn't realize my sister started doing so much as the CPU." Nepgear said with a slightly defeated tone in her voice. Seth had set up quite a few programs in Planeptune while he lived there. He knew that Histoire liked them, and it seemed that Neptune had continued the programs.

"Want a bowl?" Seth had gotten up and grabbed another bowl. Nepgear happily accepted the offer and was handed a bowl.

"It's delicious, thanks Seth!" Nepgear said in between bites as she had gleefully ate the bowl. The trio enjoyed their meal together, while making an expected level of noise. Midway through the meal, they heard the sound of an infant crying and noise coming from another one of the rooms. Soon the room opened up, and out stepped Neptune along with Poseidon. The new mother's eyes had dark bags underneath them and her overall body showed signs of fatigue.

"Ah, Onee-chan! Are you alright?" Nepgear said. Both Seth and she got up, the former took the pink hair baby, while Nepgear tended to her sister.

"Sorry, did we wake you up?" Nepgear said. She looked towards Seth who was cradling the newborn who had seemed upset just moments ago, but now seemed happy. Neptune looked in the same direction her sister was staring.

"How the hell does he act so calm with you, but he's so fussy with me?!" Neptune lashed out, taking the group by surprise. The infant in the Emperor's arms was about to start crying by being startled, but Seth placed his hand above the baby's head and used the Force to calm him down. It was clear that Neptune was having a difficult time with the newborn. She needed a break. Seth wished he could spend more time with them, but his normal duties kept him away.

"Force really helps with easing his young mind. Neptune, how would you feel if I took Poey and P-ko for the rest of the day, while you and Nepgear relax together. I know that a new hot spring and spa just opened near the outskirts of New Alexandria. My treat." Seth said as he began to order the tickets, while Peashy was poking the infant's cheeks.

"OH! That sounds like a good idea. My back is hurting a little from all the office work. What do you say Onee-chan?" Nepgear was clearly excited by the prospect of going to a spa.

"Will you be alright by yourself with him?" Neptune's mood shifted from tired to a hesitant look on her face.

"Don't worry, I can handle him."

"What if he gets hungry?

"I saw some bottles of breast milk in the fridge, and Tabane finally finished making that special baby formula if he needs more." Seth said as he materialized a tub of baby formula from his suit's inventory feature. Neptune seemingly relented after a while and Seth prepared to take the kids with him. He took out the hover stroller and placed the infant inside while preparing Peashy. The sister changed their outfit whie Seth was getting ready. Soon they were ready to leave. Seth approached the sisters and planted a kiss on Neptune's lip. Quickly moving to Nepgear and doing the same. It took a moment for the group of three to process what Seth just did, but soon a vivid red blush overtook the goddess candidate.

"Ah crap, Nepgear, I'm so sorry I did that out of habit!" Seth, who had lost his composure, was rapidly apologizing.

"It's alright, in fact I didn't mind it, but I wish you had set the mode first for my first kiss." Nepgear said with a bashful smile on her face as she looked at the normally calm and collected man, looking so flustered.

"Eh, you guys are moving quickly. I know I said it was ok for you to date him, but if you have a kid with him before the other goddess, it's gonna cause a headache. I thought Blanc was the only other one he had kissed yet."

"I kissed Vert on our last date. You girls talk about our dates?" Seth admitted before asking a question of his own.

"Maybe..." Neptune teased as came close to Seth and stole another kiss and planted a kiss on hher son's cheek.

"See you later!" Neptune said as she headed out the door. Nepgear followed after her.

"Bye Seth, thanks for lunch!" Nepgear said as she went out the door, leaving the three alone.

"Ready to go see Aki, P-ko?" Peashy excitedly nodded her head at Seth, as he ordered the hover stroller to follow him.

Back with the Dunois Family.

Albert Dunois had been escorted to the Palace where he met up with his family who were eating lunch together. To his surprise his wife had ordered a dish for him. As they were finishing up their meal, the door to the room opened up, Seth walked in with a small blonde hair girl holding his hand and a hover pod next to him.

"Seth you're back. Wait, this girl is." Charlotte remembered meeting Peashy back in Seoul just before the bioterrorism attack and from the amusphere demo.

"Char-Char!" Peashy rushed towards Charlotte and jumped up towards her. Charlotte momentarily panicked before she was able to catch the flying little girl.

"Char-char?"

"Yup, papa calls you Char, so Char-Char." Peashy gleefully exclaimed to the confused girl, as she put the little blonde girl down, who quickly made her way back to Seth.

"P-ko likes to give nicknames to people she likes. I'd take it as a badge of honor." Seth chimed in. He turned his head towards Albert. "I take it Theo and you had a good discussion."

"You could say that."

"Very good. Now I regret to inform you that a new matter has arisen. I will not be able to attend you for the reminder for the day, but I assure you my people will treat you very well. I'll call in a transport to have you rejoin the rest of the French delegation."

"Where are you going Seth?" Charlotte immediately asked. Before he could respond, Peashy spoke.

"We're going to see Aki!"

"There is a matter with the Jedi that needs my attention. Plus Neptune needed a break from this little terror." Seth said as he lifted his wrist and controlled the hover stroller to open up. Inside was the purple-hair, orange eyed infant.

"Awww!" Both half sisters said out loud as they looked at the infant.

"Can we come along?" Diana asked.

"I'm not too sure if you'll enjoy it." Seth said. "There's a whole extravagant planned night. Filled with fine food and entertainment. I'm sure that will be more of your speed." He added.

"I think I'll pass on that. We do that a lot back home. Charlotte, I know you haven't done that a lot back home, but I think we'll have more fun with Seth." She said smirking to her sister. Charlotte nodded and the group looked towards the girl's parents.

"I think we'll go with the scheduled events. A little relaxation would do us good." Rozenta said. Albert quickly agreed with his wife and said it was alright for his daughter to join Seth.

"Well then, we should be on our way." Seth said as he called in a shuttle for the adults while a [LAAT] gunship arrived for Seth's group. As they boarded the gunship, Seth picked up Poseidon from the stroller and placed him on his chest. The nanosuit quickly formed a baby carrier and the small boy was secure to his chest while one hand held Peashy and his free hand grabbed onto the one of the handles dangling from the roof of the gunship. The girl grabbed onto a pair of free handles and the gunship took off.

A little later with the Jedi.

Akikaze was with the Jedi as they were training outside the base of reach. They were several hundred of kilometers from the base as the Jedi masters wanted the young minds to attempt to connect with nature and to attempt to locate the source of this mysterious singing that some members had begun to hear. Naturally being on a not yet fully tamed world, the Jedi were not alone. The IS teachers and the new students were providing protection. Most wildlife tended to avoid the new outsiders, but occasionally one would begin to get a little too close. A warning shot, or an IS appearing close to the creature would be enough to scare them away.

The crown prince was sitting cross legged with the other members of the order. There were a few children that were younger, but of the several dozen younglings, Akikaze was one of the younger members. He was starting to get bored with all the mediating and wanted to start saber technique training. He was given a training lightsaber not too long ago, a blue one in color. It however couldn't cut through anything or cause any real damage. Unlike the ones his father, or the older members of the Jedi order had.

However, when he used the blade, something felt wrong. It was as though something within the saber was indifferent to him. Each saber he was able to hold has some sort of presence to them. This training saber was, for lack of a better word, ignoring him. His father's blades, when Seth showed them to Aki, were filled with a strong presence, but it felt protective. Master Drallig's blades felt old in the force, but full of wisdom. This training saber was nothing like those blades, it made him unconformable to use it.

To his left was the girl called Emiri, who had been deep in meditation. This aspect of training came much easier to the girl than to Akikaze, but he was far better in the more physical aspect of their Jedi training. He had caught the normally Blue skin, red eye girl looking at him and Urihar when they were together. He tried to talk to her, but when he tried to get close, she seemingly ran away, but other times, the girl would approach him, like today, and say nothing. Akikaze was confused and was still not used to her normal appearance. Right now, her alien appearance was hidden away by some illusion Seth placed on the girl. To everyone around her, she appeared to be a normal human girl. Black hair, brown eyes and tan complexion. However, every once in a while, the illusion flickered for Akikaze and her normal appearance revealed itself. It seems that it was only him that saw this as everyone around her acted like nothing was wrong.

To his right was Kanzashi who was the most recent member of the order. Though her being by far one of the oldest people to join the order and her unconventional master, who was a former Sith Lord made her a bit of an outcast by the younger children. The older members of the order didn't treat her any different but these group sessions were her least favorite part but Akikaze and his friend seemed warm and open to her. She could now sense when her older sister was watching her and she was doing it far more often than she could have imagined. In fact she could tell that her sister was looking at her right now in her second IS [Mysterious Mistress] which was an imperial variant of [Mysterious Lady] since it was still under contract by the Russian Federation. Kanzashi had received a new IS as well, [Uchigane Sanshiki]. She had been working directly with the team of Imperial Engineers and having the great Dr. Shinonono personally working on her machine gave her a big sense of pride.

In the middle of their mediation, the sound of a [LAAT] gunship approaching broke the calm atmosphere. The gunship landed and opened its side door showing five people got off the transport. Seth placed Poseidon in the hover stroller and the group made their way towards the Jedi.

"Dad!" Akikaze shouted as he spotted his father. He got up from his spot and ran towards the Emperor. For the second time today, a small child launched themselves towards the man. Like before, Seth caught the small child and spun him around.

"Hey Aki, how's the training going?" Seth said as he put the small down.

"I'm the best for my age at sparring!" The boy eagerly said.

"And meditation?" Akikaze sheepishly turned away. While he wasn't paying attention, Peashy approached from behind and tackle-hugged the brown-haired boy.

"Aki! Your hair is funny." The blonde bundle of energy said as she inspected Aki's new hair style. Once she spotted the Palawan braid, she pulled on it slightly, instantly earning a "Ow" from the boy.

While the two were having fun, Seth turned his attention to the other members of the Jedi and saw Emiri was staring intensely at Akikaze and Peashy. She was clearly jealous and the girl didn't even try to hide it. His son was becoming too popular with the girls at a younger age than he imagined. He knew that Peashy was infatuated with the prince, since they were such close friends it was no surprise. There was the girl his grandmother introduced, Asuka, who he had called upon the Force to save from a fall. The photos his mother sent him clearly showed the younger girl had a crush. Now he has his newly adopted alien daughter who wants to get closer to his biological son. He made his way towards master Drallig who was deep in mediation.

"Master Drallig." The Emperor greeted the Jedi. Drallig opened his eyes and returned the gesture.

"Your Majesty. Glad you responded so quickly to my inquiry."

"And my thanks to you for keeping me in the loop with Jedi matters. Now what's this about hearing singing voices?"

Meanwhile with the IS users.

With their crash course training coming to a close, the IS teachers along with the newer IS trainees were asked to cover the Jedi during an outing on the alien world. At first they thought nothing of the task, just protecting these robed individuals from local fauna seemed relatively easy. Then they saw the group use what could only be described as telekinesis to lift up objects, float or jump extreme distances. Far more than what should be possible for a normal human, then when they saw the laser swords. Immediately those not within the loop thought these were some sort of cult, with the young children in the middle of being indoctrinated. Chifuyu had to alleviate the worries of the other teachers that they were a religious sect and membership was voluntary even with them being that young. Most of the teachers were wary, but wouldn't press the issue for the time being.

Houki was watching the group from above, when she saw the [LAAT] arrive she shifted her focus to the occupants departing from the gunship. She soon saw Seth along with Charlotte and two blonde-haired girls, one she didn't know. One was in her early teens, the second one was the small child she met in South Korea who called him 'papa'.

"Ara, looks like Seth brought home another girl." Tatenashi said as she opened up a video call with Houki. Catching her by surprise, Houki flinched, causing her IS to move erratically before she recovered.

"Hahaha, sorry Houki, didn't mean to scare you. Oh, he brought his baby with him." Tatenashi said as she spotted Poseidon being placed in the hover stroller.

"You girls are still covering your positions?" Chifuyu chimed in, as she saw the two were having a conversation via her IS.

"Yes ma'am." Both girls said in unison. While they were talking, the Evangelion pilots in their own IS units were also watching the people departing the gunship.

"Diana?" Shinji spoke out loud when he spotted the French IS pilot.

"Shinji, you know that girl?" Mari asked.

"She's a pilot I saved a few days ago in France during the terrorist attack." Shinji added on. It was soon followed by a series of beeps coming from his astromech AI that was loaded into the IS Shinji was piloting as an experiment.

"What did the droid say?" Asuka asked, she hadn't mastered droid binary, but she thought she heard the word 'kiss' coming from the droid.

"Nothing important." Shinji immediately deflected. Asuka would have pressed more, but a communication came in from Seth.

"Attention IS pilots, the Jedi order is going to investigate the origin of an unknown phenonium. Be prepared to move out." Seth said as the group of nearly forty boarded the Paladin-class corvette, the [Crucible] the Jedi arrived in.

Back with Seth.

Master Drallig told the Emperor how several members of the Jedi order had recently reported hearing singing within their heads. The fact that it was only a few members of the order led the Jedi master to one conclusion. Something on the planet of Reach was calling out to the force users. There were a few possible suspects, but the way the Jedi hearing the singing described it as pleasant, it was most likely the call of Kyber crystals the younglings were hearing. When they did their initial scan of the planet, it showed no Kyber viens, but perhaps it was hidden away.

Seth had brought up Kanzashi and Akikaze into the pilot section of the corvette. As the ship took up, he asked the two to focus on singing and point the direction where it was originating. The two closed their eyes and focused on the singing. They pointed towards the North direction of the planet.

It was about an hour of flying and the terrain had shifted drastically. From the coniferous forest to an arctic tundra. Aboard the corvette, several of the younglings could hear the singing far clearer now.

"Master, it's here! I think were directly above the source." Kanzashi said to Seth. Taking a moment to find an adequate landing zone, Seth landed the ship. Close to their landing site there was a cave entrance.

"Dad, the singing is coming from the cave." Akikaze said as he looked toward the entrance. Having a look on the sensor screen from the ship, the outside temperature was reading -40 celsius. They had everyone in the ship put on winter clothing and a field kit that was stored aboard before setting out for the cave. The crunch of snow echoed as the group made their way into the entrance of the cave. It led to a wide open enclosed space, but was filled with pitch darkness. Seth pulled out one of his lightsabers and the room illuminated with purple light. He made a clone who set up several fires using an Imperial military field kit. Once the fires were up and running, he sent a message to the IS pilots to land and enter the cave.

The IS pilots had their Imperial plug suits generate a helmet once they were entering colder temperatures and activated the internal temperature regulators to keep the pilots at a comfortable temperature as they entered the arctic environment. After landing inside they found a large group of mostly children waiting around the adults. They spotted Seth and the older white hair man working on some sort of box when several spherical objects floated up and entered the tunnel that led deeper into the cave.

Master Drallig brought up a holoproject and the data from the recon probes began to flood in, generating a map of the surprising multiplex tunnel network. The two men look at the hologram with amazement.

"How did none of this show up at all during the scans of the planet?" Seth spoke out loud. While on Drallig's face, a smile broke out.

"It is time for the Gathering." Drallig said and several of the younglings broke out in chatter.

"The Gathering?" The former Sith Lord asked.

"When the time comes for a Jedi to make their lightsaber, we would send them to the crystal cave on Ilum. For thousands of generations, the Gathering was a pivotal moment within any Jedi's career. I was worried about when the time came for these young ones, what we would do for their lightsabers." Drallig spoke. Seth was originally planning to use the crystals within his lightsaber collection he gathered during the war, but this seemed far less morbid.

"Serra, please gather the children that are hearing the singing." The elder Jedi spoke to his former apprentice.

"Yes master." Serra said as she began to select the students that reported hearing the singing over the last few days.

A group of 10 were lined up. Akikaze and Kanzashi were standing there, so was Emiri and Akikaze's friend Urihar. Along with several other younglings that were older than Akikaze, Emiri, and Urihar. Once the students had assembled, Serra spoke to the group of ten.

"Younglings, the force works in many ways we do not understand. In a far away land from our home, we have been blessed with a way to continue our traditions. As many of you have learned, the 'Gathering' is an essential event in a Jedi's life and some of you have been called upon by the force to find your crystals." Serra said as she looked at the group and noted how some were far younger than other groups in the past.

"Each Jedi's journey is different. Follow the force and you will find your crystal." Serra finished.

Seth saw that Serra was done, and got up with his infant child in his hands. However as he was about to make his way towards his oldest son, a hand stretched out in front of him. Cin Drallig had stopped the Emperor's movement.

"I'm afraid the prince will have to do this on his own." The battle master said much to the surprise of the former Sith lord.

"A child his age, being let alone in a cave we just discovered? I figured that we would help the kids since this is the first group?" Seth questioned the Master Jedi's intent, but Drallig simply shook his head.

"We will leave their fate to the force. Serra and I have been reflecting on what allowed the Jedi order to become blinded to the dark side. Through much deliberating we have come to the conclusion that it was the fact the order, notably the High council, had become far too politicized with the galactic senate, rather than listening to the force itself. So we will listen to the force and now the force is telling these children that it is time for them to take the first steps on their own. I do not hear the song of the kyber, do you?" The gray haired man said, taking a moment to pause and see if he had alleviated the Emperor's worry, but it was still present. However, he saw Seth steel his resolve, and nodded towards the elder Jedi.

"Very well, however may I suggest we give the children a few communicators just in the off chance something happens." A small smile appeared on the Jedi battle master's face.

"That I can agree with." Seth quickly grabbed a box that they had brought from the ship and shifted around before he found what he needed. He reached the group, who were waiting at the entrance. Small disc shaped devices and flashlights were handed to the group. Once the children, plus Kanzashi, were handed the items, Serra led them into the cave. She returned alone, and as expected those that could sense the force, felt Emperor Fairs was filled with unease though his facial expression was giving away the same emotion. The newborn child within the hover stroller pod began to cry, though untrained in the force, as he was able to sense his father's troubled emotions.

While Seth was now focusing on calming the crying infant, the IS pilots who had been training over the break together, had grown friendly with one another. The crying soon stopped, once Seth had calmed down his own heart. Seems his newest son was sensitive to the force and the emotions of others. The teachers had a casual relationship at the moment with the student, but come the new school year they would be more formal. For now they were relaxed. Even with their own training, the teachers made sure to help the Eva pilots learn how to use an IS, since they were all beginners. Chifuyu had also made it a point to instruct Houki herself when they had the time, and had recruited the help of Tatenashi when she arrived on the alien world. Houki had improved drastically in such a short period of time.

As for the Eva pilots, now turned IS pilots, they had gained around the same amount of skill as national pilot candidates. Only one from the group was lagging behind. Shinji's Starfighter pilot duties had eaten into his own IS training. However, he was still above average in terms of skill for a first year pilot. While at the academy there was no doubt he would grow rapidly. As the group was enjoying a conversion with one another, Shinji felt a pair of arms surround his neck. Causing him to jolt and soon heard a familiar voice speak to him.

"Bonjour mon chevalier!" The platinum blonde hair teen said as she found who she was look for in the group. Once Shinji realized who it was, he instantly remembered her kissing him on the cheek and a bright red blush took over his face.

"Diana?! How did you get here?!" Shinji said in his still in progress English. He was wondering how she got on the foreign planet since he first spotted her.

"We came with member of French government as diplomatic delegation." Diana answered in her own, still in progress, English.

"My, my, you two seem to be close." Mari teased the two. Shinji turned over to her and spotted Asuka, who was not happy at the sight before her. Shinji felt a shiver go down her spine. Leaving the Eva pilots to their own devices, Charlotte made her way towards Tatenashi and Houki.

"So this is where you girls have been spending your summer. I tried to message you two and was worried when I got no reply." Charlotte said as she sat near the two girls.

"Unfortunately, we don't get service outside of Earth." Tatenashi responded, before she turned her head towards the tunnel her younger sister had just entered, before turning back to the group.

"We got intense extra training. Charlotte, you'll be in for a real surprise this semester." Tatenashi winked as she spoke. Turning her head to Houki who also nodded in agreement. They had been working hard these past few weeks with little room to enjoy themselves but their training had produced results. Especially Houki's training with Chifuyu who was relentless but the Houki had kept up. Their conversation would have continued had they not heard the sound of an infant crying. Looking towards the source of the sound, they saw the young Emperor levitating a bottle with the force and a small blue flame below it, heating up the white liquid inside.

"The milk will be ready in a moment." Seth said, attempting to calm the hungry baby in his arms. The crying lessened but still the child was hungry.

Meanwhile with Akikaze.

The group of ten had walked into the single tunnel and soon found themselves entering a massive chamber where they saw clear crystals of all sizes on the stone walls. They saw that this chamber has a massive amount of tunnel entrances leading to who knows where. The group stopped to think of where to go next.

"Master Serra said to follow the force, but which way is it leading?" One of the girl younglings in the group said.

"It's obvious this way. I hear the singing from there." One of the boys said.

"No it's this way!" Another chimed in.

"No this way!" Another spoke up. Soon all the kids were pointing in different directions. Kanzashi realized what had to be done.

"Kids, we need to separate. Can everyone make sure their communicators are working?" Kanzashi said as she got the kids to calm down. After testing their communicators Kanzashi led the kids to each of their tunnels that they heard the singing coming from till it was just her and Akikaze left.

"Aki-kun, where do you hear the singing?" The blue-haired girl asked. Akikaze pointed upwards towards a tunnel with no clear way of getting up there.

"Let me bring out my IS, I'll fly you up there." Kanzashi said, but before she could bring out her machine, Akikaze started free climbing the steep wall of stone.

"AKI?!" She said with worry as she saw him quickly climb the wall.

"It's ok, I'm a really good climber!" The young brown haired boy said as he easily made it up wall and arrived at the entrance of the tunnel. "Good luck on finding your crystal Onee-san." Akikaze said as he entered the tunnel. Finally making the way to her tunnel, Kanzashi walked down the tunnel to find her crystal.

After walking for what seemed like a short time, Akikaze arrived in a massive open chamber where there were stone platforms scattered throughout. At the other end of the hall he saw a shining object on the other side of the chamber. It took him a moment to realize that the singing in his head was coming from that object in the distance. It had to be his crystal. But he had one issue. How would he cross the chamber? There were the platforms but he couldn't make the jump. They were simply too far from his current location.

He might make it with a running start. He turned around to start his run, but as he did, something caught his eye. Standing next to him was a pure white horse that had a horn on its head. Akikaze jumped in surprise as he didn't notice the creature standing next to him the entire time and moved behind a rock to hide from the white creature. After waiting a moment to see what the creature would do, it just stood there staring at the child. He took a moment to look at the white creature a bit more and saw that it was not made of flesh. It appeared to be made out of the crystals that lined the walls of the tunnel network and was not breathing. It wasn't alive, but it moved every so often. Gathering his courage the boy got closer to the horse like being and reached out a hand. The crystal Unicorn allowed Akikaze to pet him. The creature's skin felt hard and smooth to the touch. Akikaze felt the creature reaching out to his mind and received a message.

"You want me to get on your back?" Doing as the creature asked, he climbed on the back of the beast and found himself being securely held by an unseen force. The Unicorn turned towards the closest platform and galloped into the air. Akikaze grabbed the mane of the Unicorn and felt a new sensation of liberation as the creature leaped from platform to platform reaching the end of the chamber. However as Akikaze reached out to the shining gem in front of him, clutching the stone, a pool of black liquid appeared on the floor. The black liquid jumped from the ground and engulfed the boy. Akikaze screamed in terror as the black liquid pulled him under.

With Akikaze.

Once the darkness subsided, the young boy found himself falling from the sky, surrounded by darkness. Looking down he saw a vast city beneath him. However it was not a city like one built by man. A city of crystal structures was beneath him.

He screamed, as he was unable to control his descent. However a moment later he landed on a solid surface. Opening his eyes he saw the city from the sky.

However, looking around, he realized he was surrounded by strange beings. They had a humanoid figure but there was no way for him to make out any defining features. He didn't know what they looked like. It was as if his brain was trying to block them Akikaze heard the singing, louder than before, and he knew the crystal was in the hands of the creatures. It still called out to him and despite his fear he reached his hand out.

One of the creatures stepped forward, the crystal in their hands. The crystal was passed along from creature to creature, slowly moving closer to the human child. When the crystal was only a foot away, the creature placed the crystal into the boy's hand.

Once the crystal was in his hand, Akikaze saw a flash and was blinded by the light.

With the other children.

They had all arrived at the ends of their respective tunnels. Each were holding their respective crystals and were all looking for a way to leave.

Kanzashi had a blue crystal, Emiri had a pink crystal, and Urihar had a blue crystal. The other six had an assortment of green and blues and each had to undergo a personal trial to be worth of their kyber crystal.

Akikaze was the last one to return, and upon his return, he had a crystal his has not yet taken a color and remained clear.

After they all gathered the group of younglings and their crystals were taken back the entrance of the cave where they saw the relieved faces of their masters. Seth once he saw his son in one piece, allowed himself to relax.

Upon the group's return, Seth made sure to examine Akikaze, while Akikaze had no visible injuries. His mind was a bit frazzled and he seemed to be a bit confused.

"Aki, you alright? You don't seem to have any injuries on you." Seth asked as he could sense something unbalancing his son.

"I'm fine papa." The young boy responded. Seth had a feeling his son was lying but decided not to push him on the subject. He would tell him when he was ready.

Seth looked around and saw that each person that went into the cave was able to retrieve a kyber crystal. Knowing what to do next he left the cave to return to the ship and activated someone who would be vital for the younglings' next step in creating their blades. He returned with several clones holding crates of parts alongside a droid that seemed to be several millennia old. The droid was a mark IV architect droid in perfect working condition. The droid looked around at the younglings and noticed how varied in age the group was.

"Have all passed the gathering?"

"Yes professor." Seth responded. The droid moved forwards and addressed the group. "Children, it is my honor to present professor Huyang."

"Younglings, you have been gifted your crystals and have undergone the trials set forth by the force. Now the true test has begun. You must forge a blade with the crystals you have been given."

"How will we do that?" One of the younglings said. The droid took a moment and brought up a hologram of the kyber crystals.

"The crystals, once bonded, will allow you to wield their power through the blade you create." The hologram shifted to the construction of a lightsaber and a bright blade of light erupting from the hilt.

"The saber you will craft will be an extension of yourself. As the crystals are your will, the hilt and the blade are an expression of it. The materials you will use will determine how your saber will function. The forced called out to you and allowed you to find a kyber crystal. You must now breathe life into the crystals." The droid finished and the kids were all amazed at the idea of having their own sabers.

"Now imagine in your mind what would feel right in your hand. What will make you strong in battle and humble in retreat." Professor Huyang instructed. The children closed their eyes and began to envision their saber. The first one to open their eyes was Kanzashi, followed by Urihar, and finally Akikaze.

"Papa! Can I see your sword?" Akikaze said as he opened his eyes.

"My lightsaber? Sure." Seth said as he pulled out one of his blades but Akikaze shook his head.

"No, the blue fire sword."

"You mean Kurikara? Sure a moment." Seth said as he materialized the Katana and handed the sword to his son. Akikaze studied the ancient sword, before he was overcome with a feeling of warmth. He was overcome with the idea that his saber would be like this blade. He turned towards the professor.

"Can I use a design like this professor?"

"I have not seen that particular style of blade. But if it feels right to you, then we can try and recreate it." Huyang said as he held his hand out to examine the blade and find parts that would match this style of weapon. With a nod Akikaze handed the droid Kurikara. He looked at his crystal again and focused using the force.

Kanzashi was feeling confident in herself as she had finished picking out parts for her blade. Being an engineer she wanted a saber that was modular and could be modified to repaired easily. She had looked at the other style of lightsabers but felt the ceremonial style of most Jedi hilts did not fit her. She wanted her lightsaber to be a tool she could repair easily and quickly. Her crystal was blue and was the perfect color for her. She could sense a bit of sadness and joy radiating off the crystal and could feel that the crystal was the right fit.

"Wow Kanzashi-chan I can't believe you're actually making your own laser sword. I'm a little jealous." Tatenashi said as she finally found a moment to talk to her little sister.

"Sis! I thought you were still on shift with Houki-chan and Chifuyu-sensei?"

"I finished for the time being." She said while giving her sister a happy smile. The older sibling was a bit surprised at how fast her sister had grown. "So, Kanzashi, what are the parts you have chosen?"

"I wanted something that would allow me to quickly modify and repair it. You never know if a part could fail or if I wanted to try a different emitter." Kanzashi explained. She had spent quite some time examining the components and had even talked to the droid about which parts would suit her style.

"Kanzashi I'll be honest with you. I didn't know how you would handle this whole Jedi business but you've grown so much in a short time. I just wanted to let you know I'm proud of you and the woman you're becoming. Mom is too."Tatenashi said.

"Onee-san." Kanzashi cried slightly as the two siblings shared a hug.

"You're going to be a great Jedi, I can feel it."

"Onee-chan, can I ask you something?" Kanzashi asked, Tatenashi gave her sister a curious look.

"Sure."

"How are you and Seth-kun getting along?" Tatenashi instantly blushed a bright red and turned away.

"Well, it's not bad." She answered.

"What does that mean?"

"It's just, well, I think I really like him, but he's not like other guys. But he is so busy it's hard to get time to just talk to him. Maybe when the school session starts we can talk more. '' Tatenashi said.

"I know how you really feel about him." Kanzashi said.

"What?! How did you know?"

"We all know. We can sense your feelings and we can tell he has the same for you. You should try to message him one of these days and ask him out. I'm sure he would make time for you." The younger sister said with a smirk to her face as Tatenashi kept turning deeper shades of red.

"But what about your feelings, Kanzashi?"

"He knows them. We hang out while training and afterwards. I've got a date with him next weekend already. Mom said she was fine with us chasing the same man so you better not let me get too ahead." Kanzashi said.

"You little. Alright, I'm going to talk to him when we get back."

"That's good." Kanzashi smiled as the two sisters had a moment to talk close to one another while Kanzashi had been focusing on her crystal. The Kyber crystal began to release a blue glow as Kanzashi had bonded with the crystal.

Meanwhile Urihar had chosen an emitter style similar to the standard lightsaber hilt. He had a kyber crystal with a blue color that had a hint of violet shade. Once his crystal began to resonate with his mind, he opened his eyes to see the crystal now glowing with a blue light.

The droid Huyang had collected all the parts for the younglings and handed Seth back Kurikara. Kanzashi had gotten ahead of the group and had picked out her parts prior. Akikaze looked over the components and found that they matched what he had envisioned in his head. It wasn't exactly like the original katana, but it was close enough that he was had focused on his crystal and felt it bonded to him but no light came from it. He knew for a fact the crystal was linked to him. The other younglings had picked more traditional styles of lightsaber hilts.

"You all have a good understanding of what you want your blade to look like. Now the most difficult part of crafting the blade. You must believe that the parts must be destine to be together or the blade will not ignite. Now focus with the force." Huyang instructed.

The children focused on their crystals and closed their eyes. Slowly each of them felt a surge of power as the crystals began to fuse with the materials they had chosen.

"Excellent, younglings. There is no rush. Take it as slowly as the force tells you too." The sight for the non-force sensitive was magical. All these little parts, every segment, wire and screw were floating around as though they were dancing.

"This is amazing." Tatenashi said as she watched the parts assemble. The others were left awestruck.

The children continued to work on their sabers. They could feel the crystals within their materials. They could sense the energy flowing through the circuits and feel the way the various components came together as one.

After a long and grueling process, Akikaze was the first one to finish. With a smile, Akikaze pulled out his new lightsaber hilt. It was a perfect recreation of the katana he had envisioned. He could feel the power of the crystal flowing through the lightsaber hilt. It was perfect.

"Excellent job youngling." Huyang said.

"Thank you professor." Akikaze said with a bow.

"Now press the activation switch and see if your blade works." The droid instructed.

"Not yet. I want to wait for everyone else to finish." Akikaze said, which put a smile on the Jedi faces as well as his father's.

It took another hour but the other students had finished their hilts and were now testing out the blades. One by one they turned on their blades and were able to produce the light they desired. Blades of Green, blue and one pink blade illuminated the cave. Now was Akikaze's turn. He grasp the hilt of his lightsaber and activated the blade.

A blade of darkness erupted from the hilt. The black blade crackled as it emerged from the hilt, as though it was struggling to break free.
