8-Bit Ch. 15

Phil couldn't help but smile at Tara as she nervously looked over the menu, while he wasn't a profiler by any means he made the educated guess that dating was hard for her. Sipping on his Old Fashion, Phil watched in amusement as she chewed on her lips. Clearing his throat, chuckling a bit as she fiddled with her necklace, "A weaker man would assume you're trying to plan your escape." Smirking a bit as her big brown eyes shot up to his, "Luckily I'm not a weak man."

Placing the menu down, Tara could feel herself blushing, "Is it that obvious?" she asked, a little disappointed that her nerves were showing.

Pinching his fingers together, "A bit." Seeing her shoulders relax, "I'm a little nervous too, based on everything that Luke has told me about you, you're a formidable woman." Sipping his water, "I'm just hoping to impress you enough before you realize that you're way out of my league."

Covering her mouth, Tara couldn't help but chuckle a bit, "Thank you." Feeling at ease, from what Luke told her about him, he was a low stress kind of man and honestly that was what she needed. "So, how'd Alvez convince you to come on this date?" she asked, a tad embarrassed that she had to be set up.

Leaning back, "Oh, it wasn't a hard sell. Dinner with a beautiful, smart, woman that carries a gun, I couldn't say no." Sipping on his drink, "What about you? Bribery or blackmail?" Laughing a bit at the look on her face.

Moving some of her hair off her face, Tara could feel herself starting to relax, never more grateful that the man sitting across from her was able to put her at ease so quickly, that wasn't something that many people have been able to do. "Neither, if you can believe that." Seeing the waitress making her way back over, "I'm ready to order if you are."

Nodding, Phil gave the young lady a smile, turning his attention towards Tara, pleased to hear her order something more than a chicken salad, as good as a healthy salad was, steak was life. He'd be lying if he didn't find her ordering the prime rib medium rare sexy as hell. Seeing the server looking down at him, obviously waiting for him to place his order, "I'll have the same, but no mushrooms." Handing her the menu, his eyes found Tara watching him, "Is it hard to shut off your profiler part of your brain?" he asked, generally curious about it.

Tara nodded, "Sometimes, I've been trained to look for micro-expressions, pitches in voices, and many other various things." Doug absolutely hated that about her, it was one of the many things that was wrong with their relationship, or for him it was a problem.

Phil could see that her face fell a bit, "It's not a bad thing. But I'm not playing poker with you, ever." He said winking at her.

"See, it always starts out with no issues, but I've found that the novelty wears off rather quickly." She said, doing her best not to think of the last conversation that she had with Doug before he walked out of her life.

Shrugging, Phil didn't see that as a problem, if anything for someone like him that had a hard time talking about his feelings it would be nice to have someone that would be able to read him. "I don't know about that. Seems handy." Seeing her eyes light up, "For me, my issues in relationships were that I was constantly gone, either with being with the Rangers or the Fugitive Task Force. It always started as that's so amazing, your so dedicated, to why are you always gone?" Sipping more of his drink, he could see that was something that she experienced as well.

Phil placed his drink down, "Let's make a deal right here and now." Smiling as he watched her eyes sparkle with interest.

Tara couldn't help but lean forward, resting her elbows on the table, "Now this could be interesting." She said, excitement filling her veins.

"I hope so." Exhaling slowly, "Instead of the bullshit crap that everyone says on the first date, how about we ask all the questions that you really want to know about a potential mate. Cause I'm way too old to play games, I know what I'm looking for, you?" He asked her. Phil wanted what Luke had found, a real partner, someone that he was so in love with.

Chewing on her bottom lip, for a moment she was a little nervous about being so blunt, but if any relationship was going to work for her, she needed someone to know that while she wanted a partner, her career meant just as much to her as a family would. There was no way she was willing to give that up. "I really don't want kids, I'm not opposed to them, but I don't have this burning need for them." Realizing that was the first time she had said that to another person.

Blinking rapidly, Phil couldn't help but smile, "Kids are great, but I think I would prefer to be the cool uncle." Seeing her shoulders relax, Phil knew that was probably the hardest thing for a woman to admit, because society expected them to want those things. "My career has always been important to me, and now that I'm finally back to work, I have the goal of being the Director of the Fugitive Task force. Don't get me wrong I want to have a fulfilling relationship, but I want someone that doesn't need me to constantly hold their hand, it would be perfect if she was as committed to her career too."

Tara couldn't help but snort, "Really? If I were to call you after you planned a night for us and tell you that Mr. Smith the child predator finally agreed to talk to me and I choose that, you wouldn't be mad?" Knowing that was Doug's last straw.

Seeing the servers come with their food, Phil waited until they were finally alone to answer her question. Glancing down at his food, pleased to see that it looked as good as it smelled, letting it rest for a moment, Phil found Tara watching him intently. "Would I be annoyed, probably, just as much as she would if I bailed her because Mr. Smith the fugitive was spotted, but I would hope that my significant other would make it up to me, naked." Smirking as she blushed, "What would you expect a man to do to make up for cancelling on a date?" Wondering what kind of gestures that she would appreciate.

Sipping her wine, Tara could swear he was going to hear her heart pounding in her chest, taking a second to gather herself Tara could see him waiting. "If you ever cancel a date on me, you better bring some damn good chocolate and massage oil." Turning her attention towards her steak, Tara could feel herself getting excited not just physically but mentally, Phil was a great sparing partner.

Licking his lips as she took her first bite, Phil quickly cut into his, the flavor was outstanding, but he was enjoying her wit far more than any great piece of meat. As the evening progressed, the pair enjoyed deep conversations, from their childhood to their dreams of retirement. For the first time in a great many years Phil felt blissfully optimistic about what his future was starting to show him, he could only hope that she was feeling the same.

Stepping through her front door, Tara found herself leaning against it as she locked it behind herself. Lightly touching her cheek, the memory of him walking her towards her car, opening the door and placing a soft kiss. Sighing, she couldn't help but feel a little giddy, it had been a long time since she felt that emotion, while she wasn't going to rush whatever was happening between them, Tara couldn't help but feel a little excited. Pushing herself off the door, she headed straight to her bedroom to get ready for bed, not that it took long. As she fell into bed, she heard her phone chime, reaching over to her nightstand, Tara found herself smiling like a fool at his message.

P: Thank you for a wonderful evening. I've been told I'm supposed to wait a day or so before I reach out, but I'm too old for all of that. After Christmas would you like to go out with me again?

T: See, I can respect a man that gets right to the point. And I would really enjoy going out again. Something more active?

Phil smiled down at his phone, she was smart, badass, and full of fire. That was something he knew he wanted in life, a woman that said what she thought. Taking a second to think of something that she would enjoy, that wasn't your typical date, smirking a bit when an idea popped into his head.

P: It's a date. Merry Christmas Tara. Goodnight and I'll contact you soon.

Biting her lip, Tara couldn't stop smiling even if she wanted to, he was smart, charming, and best of all witty.

T: Merry Christmas, Phil. Goodnight, and I look forward to it.

Placing her phone on her nightstand, Tara shut off the light, as she settled down for the night one of her last thoughts before she fell asleep was making sure that she was going to send Luke a thank you. Or perhaps she'd hold off, because if this went south, she may be tempted to punch him in the face for setting her up. Closing her eyes, Tara let their evening replay over in her mind a few more times before the beautiful lull of sleep pulled her under.

Phil threw his arm behind his head, as he watched the fan spin around, he couldn't keep his mind from wandering to their entire evening, from the moment he sat down to him walking her to her car. Everything about the evening was damn near perfect, and the icing on the cake was that she agreed to see him again. Exhaling slowly, Phil let his mind start to shut down and one of his last thoughts he had was the possibilities of the future and for the first time there was a glimmer of hope.

Exhaling slowly, Savvy took a few steps back wanting to give herself a final look before they made their way to Radio City Music Hall, smoothing down her dress Savvy couldn't help but smile. Her dress was a deep purple cocktail dress with a black lace vintage overlay, with a sweetheart neckline. This was the first time since graduation from grad school that she wore anything so fancy, hell she even put in a little effort with her makeup, going for a vintage red lipstick with a grey smokey eye.

Savvy could feel her heart pounding in her chest, she was sure that Luke was going to be able to hear it from the bedroom, shaking off her nerves Savvy gave herself a final look and made her way out. Stepping into the bedroom she found Luke standing there in his tux. Clenching her thighs together, all she wanted to do was push him on the bed and have her dirty way with him, but she also really wanted to go see the Nutcracker. Clearing her throat, smiling as he turned towards her, blushing as he licked his lips.

"You look dashing." She breathed out.

Luke glanced over his shoulder his eyes taking her in, from the way she had her golden red hair, her lips, and the way that damn dress clung to her body, it was enough to make a grown man cry. Licking his lips, it took all his mental strength not to lift her up, push her against the wall and slide his cock deep into her body. "Te ves impresionante, mi paloma."

Pulling her into his arms, Luke placed his head on hers doing everything he could to keep himself from preventing her from missing the ballet. Placing a small kiss on her cheek, Luke slid his hand into hers, "¿Lista?" He asked her, not wanting to rush her, but he had a whole evening planned for them.

Savvy found herself staring into his eyes, lifting her fingers towards his beard enjoying how the texture felt under her skin. "Mas que lista. Solo Espero que no estes demasiado aburrido." Knowing that he was only doing this because he knew how much she loved ballet.

Tucking some hair behind her ear, he was never more tempted to kiss her, but he didn't want to ruin her lipstick, at least not until she said yes. "Mi paloma, I'm actually excited about tonight, mostly because I get to experience something new with the love of my life." Bringing her hands to his lips, Luke gently bit down on her knuckles. Smirking a bit as his eyes watched hers darken with desire, "We should leave, before I make us miss the show." He said, his voice dropping low.

Nodding, Savvy swallowed deeply, "That's probably a good idea." Feeling his hand on the small of her back, Savvy let Luke lead them out of the room, out of the hotel, and with a very quick cab ride, she found herself at the entrance. Looking up, Savvy couldn't keep the look of excitement of her face if she tried, looking over her shoulder she found him taking a picture of her, blushing a bit. "Would you take one with me?" she asked him.

Without saying a word, Luke positioned themselves in front of the lighted sign, wanting to make sure that the name was in it. Snapping the picture, smiling like an idiot on how it came out, "You like it?" he asked her. Knowing that it was going to go on his desk at work.

"I love it. Thank you." She wanted to kiss his cheek but didn't want to get the red lipstick on his face.

Pushing some of the hair that was loose off her cheek, Luke placed a small kiss on her, "Let's get to our seats." Taking her hand into his, he led them inside, and towards their seats. While he wanted to spring for the balcony so that they could be alone, it was just a little too pricey with everything else that they were doing, but as he settled into his seat, he could see that they had a completely unobstructed view of the stage. Tossing his arms over her shoulder, Luke pulled her close, smiling as he felt her excitement in her body.

Savvy watched as the lights started to dim, this was by far one of her most favorite ballets, not that she was sure why, but if she had to make a guess it would probably be the whimsical nature of it. Or maybe she too wanted to fall asleep on Christmas Eve, wake up in a magical world of dancing fairies, and fight the evil mouse king. But whatever the reason, she was grateful that this time she was seeing with the man she loved, and all she hoped was that he didn't hate it, completely.

Inhaling deeply as the curtains started to rise, Savvy reached for his hand, excitement and hope filled her veins.

Luke found himself watching every move across the stage, but it was his dove that captivated his attention, every little gasp, how she leaned forward as though she was trying to be a part of the performance. Sliding his hand into hers, her turned his attention back to the stage. This was the first time in his life that he sat through a ballet, leaning back his eyes followed the dancers as they moved across the stage as though they were floating. It never occurred to him that ballet would be so beautiful, or so powerful, it was invoking emotions in him that were very surprising.

Keeping his eyes glued to the stage, Luke watched as a singular ballerina danced across the stage, he swore she was breaking the laws of physics. Taking a deep breath as she leapt across the stage, he could feel his dove's hand squeezing his. Without taking his eyes off the young lady dancing, Luke leaned over, "Is that how you dance?" he whispered into her ear. Unable to stop his mind from wandering, just the idea of her spinning so delicately on her toes thrilled him more than he would admit out loud.

Savvy gently wiped away a tear, each performance by the dancers left her speechless, but nothing could prepare her for his question. Keeping her eyes on the stage, Savvy leaned into his shoulder, "I can, but not nearly as beautiful. She's almost perfect." Sighing, "See that move?" she asked, pointing to the stage.

"Yeah."

Smiling as she executed it perfectly, "That's called the Italian Fouette. It's considered one of the most difficult moves in ballet, but she's done it effortlessly. I could never do that." No matter how much she tried, it was something that prevented her from even considering applying to Juilliard. Letting her head come to rest on his shoulder, Savvy couldn't help but for a single moment wonder how different her life would have been if her parents had left her alone when it came to her making her life choices.

Luke could feel some tension in her hands, glancing over he could see a moment of wistfulness passing over her face, "Do you regret not pursuing this?" he asked her.

Letting out a soft sigh, Savvy loved that he was able to pick up the smallest changes in her moods, "Not really. Just wishing that I would have spoken up to my parents more about what I wanted, not let them push me around too much." Turning her eyes towards him, "But that is a conversation for another night." Pointing to the stage, "It's almost over." She said smirking at him.

He couldn't help but chuckle a bit, "OK mi Tesoro." Turning his attention back to the performance, he knew that from this moment on he would make it a tradition to come to NY during the holidays. Perhaps next year they would see the Rockettes, and the following A Christmas Carol, the possibilities were endless in NYC. Regardless of what they saw, Luke was going to be happy because he was with his dove and seeing her smile like she was, worth every fucking dime.

Savvy wrapped herself up into her coat, grateful that she decided to bring her heavier winter coat. Looking up at Luke, she could see the look of determination on his face as they walked down 6th Ave. "Where are we going sir?" she asked, her voice teasing.

Leaning down, Luke gently nipped her ear, "Sir? A man can get used to that." Pulling her towards his chest, Luke covered her eyes, "Do you trust me?" he whispered into her ear.

Savvy could feel her heart racing a mile a minute, "You know I trust you more than anything." She whispered out. Shivering a bit as he ground his cock into her ass, placing her hands on his Savvy allowed him to lead her towards their destination. "Can I at least get a hint?" she asked him.

Snorting a bit, "No, baby, because you are too damn smart." Clearing his throat, "Here's the deal baby, I'm going to drop my hands and you are going to keep your hands over your eyes, understood?"

Savvy could feel her body starting to hum at the tone of his voice, "I understand." Keeping one hand over her eyes the other in his hand, Savvy kept herself in step with him. Tilting her head, she could hear a lot of laughing, so wherever he was taking was filled with joyful people, so to hear that was a good sign.

Luke led her carefully down towards the base of the tree, his eyes finding the horse carriage that he ordered for them to return them back to the hotel. Giving him a nod, Luke knew that this was either going to be the happiest moment of his life or it was going to be an extremely awkward ride back to their room, but there was only one way to find out. Taking a deep breath, Luke positioned her so that the first thing that she could see was the tree all lit up. Taking a final breath, Luke dropped down to his knee, "Open your eyes mi paloma."

Blinking rapidly for a moment, Savvy found herself looking up at Rockefeller tree, gasping at sight of such a giant tree, "Luke." Realizing that he wasn't in her line of sight, Savvy let her eyes search for him gasping at the sight of him on his knee holding a ring in his fingers. "I don't…." she started, but she was so thrown by what was happening that her brain was struggling to keep up.

Smiling up at her, Luke could feel his heart constricting at the sight of her shocked face. "Mi amor, when I met you, I knew I had met my match. I knew it was only a matter of time until we arrived at this moment. And how it turns out is all in your hands. Savanah Rose Knight, love of my life will you marry me?" he asked, hoping that his voice didn't sound as nervous as he felt. This was the first time in his life that he was asking a question that he didn't know the immediate answer to.

Savvy stared down at him for a moment, every emotion that she has ever felt since the moment her lips touched his, and in this moment all she could do was cry. Wiping away her tears, "Yes. I can't think of anything I want more than to spend my life with you." she said as her voice cracked. Letting her eyes taking in the ring that he was slipping on her finger she could feel the tears running down her face, "It's beautiful."

As her words touched his ears, Luke stood quickly slamming his lips onto hers, his fingers threading into her hair, pulling her as close to her body as he could in public. Moaning as he felt her tongue touch his, how her fingers gripped his shoulders, everything that he was feeling was in this fucking moment. Slightly pulling back, Luke kept his forehead on hers, desperately breathing her in, her scent both driving him mad with desire and calming his nerves. "Gracias por elegirme."

Shivering as she felt his breath against her lips, tilting her head so that she could look into his eyes, "Luke, era la unica respuesta que podia dar. Te amo." Bringing her hand towards the light, never in her life had she seen anything so simple and beautiful. "It's beautiful."

Stepping back, Luke lifted her into his arms chuckling as she yelped in surprise, making his way over towards the carriage gently placing her in the seat, soon he had his arms wrapped around her shoulders pulling her onto his lap. "It was my abuela's, she wanted you to have it." Placing his thumb under her chin desperate to see her eyes, smiling when he saw her pale green eyes sparkling up at him, "If you want me to get you something else, you know I will."

Placing a kiss on his lips, "Don't you fucking dare." Holding her hand out, pleased with how the light was hitting it, "this is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen." Leaning back a bit, "Was this Jacinta's engagement ring?" she asked him.

Luke knew in that moment she was truly the perfect woman for him, "It was, they were married over 50 years. I was 13 when he passed, but I do remember up until the day he left this world they were very much in love and happy." Not that he thought that their marriage was perfect by any means, but just like his parents, they always worked it out and never gave up and that was what he was looking for in his marriage.

Placing her head on his shoulder, Savvy couldn't help but smile, "Well then by all the stories I've read about heirlooms this means it should be good luck for us." Turning her head slightly, "So, you better make plans for a long life with me." Snuggling deeper into his chest, pleased to hear him laughing at her.

Kissing her forehead, Luke held her close to his chest, "Woman, let me be clear," holding up her hand that had his ring on, "you are mine now." Kissing her hand but nipping it gently scraping his teeth across her skin, smirking as she inhaled deeply. "Soon my love." Leaning back against the seat, Luke held onto to his fiancé, smiling to himself as that word crossed his mind, she was his fiancé and soon she would be his wife.

Savvy watched as the city passed them by, sighing as she felt his fingers lightly tugging her hair for her it was soothing. Keeping herself tucked in his arms, she was so content that it wasn't until she heard him talking that she realized that they were in front of their hotel. "Already?" she asked him, slightly disappointed.

Helping her out of the carriage, Luke tipped the driver, "Thanks." Looking down at her, seeing her eyes sparkle, "Before we leave, we'll do the extended tour." Threading his fingers with hers, Luke led her towards the elevator and straight towards their room. As the doors shut, he pushed her against the wall, his body humming with excitement, "Tell me my love, can I have you?" his voice dropping low.

Wrapping her fingers around the base of his neck, Savvy scraped his skin with her nails, "Yes." She whispered against his lips. Standing on her tip toes, Savvy went to kiss him but the sound of the doors opening stopped her, and before she could say another else, she was hoisted onto his shoulder gasping as she felt his hand swat her ass.

Luke didn't even miss a beat he practically darted down the hall, smirking at an elderly couple stared at him with wide eyes, "She agreed to marry me!" he practically shouted. As he opened their door, he could hear them clapping and cheering for him, pushing the door open, Luke kicked it shut behind them. Making sure it was locked, Luke swatted her ass again, chuckling as she yelped a bit, "Don't worry my dove, by the time we are done, I'm not sure you'll be able to sit."

Tossing her on the bed, Luke found himself standing over her, his eyes watching her as she took deep breaths, mentally groaning as her dress rode high on her thighs. "Si no quieres que se rompa ese vestido te lo quitaria ahora." He growled out. Slowly taking off his jacket, Luke could see her hesitating for a moment, never taking his eyes off her, Luke could feel his cock pulsing. "¿Me estas probando, mi amor?" A part of him was hoping that she was.

Blinking rapidly, Savvy kicked off her heels, sitting up she reached behind her dress unzipping it as quickly as she could, as she moved to stand, she found Luke with nothing but his smile, swallowing hard as his fingers wrapped around the back of her neck. "Luke."

Pulling her close to his body, Luke could feel her heart racing under his fingers, turning her around, Luke slid her dress down until it pooled around her feet. Hissing at the sight of her bare back, "No bra?" he growled out.

Glancing over her shoulder, Savvy could see the lust in his face, it was almost enough to frighten her, but honestly it just made her that much wetter. "No." Hissing as he pulled her head back a bit, groaning as she felt his teeth in her neck. "Luke."

Wrapping his arm around her chest, Luke pulled her until her back was flush with his chest, "Next time, I want you to wear nothing." Gripping the back of her sheer black panties, enjoying how they crept up her ass cheeks, leaning forward licking the shell of her ear, "I'll by you new ones." Without another word, Luke ripped them off her body, chuckling a bit as yipped. Bending her over, Luke slapped her ass, enjoying how loud it echoed into the room, "Esto va a ser duro."

Thrusting himself deep into her body, Luke relished the sound of her screaming out, but it was how her pussy squeezed him that drove him insane. Titling his head back, it took every ounce of control he had to keep from cumming, hell he knew that he wasn't going to last too long, he needed her to cum before he even dared to cum. "Empuje hacia atras bebe. Quiero sentir que me agarras." Groaning as he felt her slide down the length of his cock, "Jesus."

Laying her chest down onto the bed, Savvy gripped the sheets tightly and could hear the fabric tearing under her nails, the sound of it sending her brain into overdrive. Pushing herself back, Savvy was limited to the range of motion, it was the way he kept his hand on the back of her neck that prevented her movements. "Tan cerca, no pares." Arching her back, hissing as he slid deeper into her body, closing her eyes doing what she could to keep herself from cumming too soon, desperate to feel him for as long as she could, but it was becoming increasingly hard.

Shivering as his cock slid in and out of her body, the sound of alone of his grunts, the way his fingers gripped her ass, it was too much for her body, "Please, baby can I cum?" she begged him.

Luke could feel sweat running down his forehead, glancing down at where their bodies were connected, moaning as he watched his thick cock glisten with her juices slide into her body. Folding himself over her back, using his body to keep her pinned to the bed, snaking his hand down between her legs, smirking as he felt her swollen clit. "Oh, my little dove." He growled out. Leaning his body over hers, Luke slowly thrusted his cock deep into her pussy, groaning as he felt her pussy starting to flutter.

Licking her between her shoulder blades, chuckling as he felt her body shutter underneath him, he was desperate to feel her cum around his cock, Luke lifted her until her back was flush against his chest. The angle alone saw him seeing stars, "Grita por mi, paloma mia." Keeping one hand on her clit the other lightly pinching her nipple, her reaction was almost instant. "That's right baby, cum all over your cock." He growled into her ear.

Savvy could barely breathe, the sensations that he was pulling from her were almost too much. Sliding her hand down to her clit, she placed it on top of his, hissing as she felt the heat from her body. Tilting her head back against his shoulder, Savvy felt the coil in her lower belly snap. "LUKE!" Gasping as she felt her whole body starting to shake, if it wasn't for his arms holding her up, she would have fallen forward onto the bed. Gripping his wrist, Savvy pushed herself down onto his cock wanting to bring him over the edge with her.

Tossing her arm around his neck, she gently licked his cheek, "Cum baby." She whispered into his ear.

Sinking his teeth into her neck, Luke held her as still as he could, as wonderful as it felt as she rode his dick, it was too much, and he was desperate to cum hard. Closing his eyes, he could feel each rope of cum leaving his body, every pulse was more intense than the last. Falling forward, barely catching them before he crashed on top of her body, Luke slowly rocked his hips into hers making sure that every ounce was inside of her.

Falling to the side, Luke wrapped himself around her, his cock never leaving her body, he could feel every nerve in his body firing on all cylinders and it was all he could do to keep himself from shaking. Placing a small kiss on her temple, his nose following the lines of her neck he let his tongue dart out tasting the salty sweat that lightly covered her body. "Eres mia mi amor."

Savvy could feel her heart practically pounding out of her chest, each time that they were together only seemed to intensify. Taking several deep breaths, Savvy leaned down to kiss his wrists, "Siempre he sido tuyo." Gently using her nails, Savvy slowly scratched his skin, smiling a bit when she felt goosebumps rising from the flesh, "Do you want a long engagement?" she asked, not really meaning to blurt it out.

Pulling her impossibly closer, Luke held her tightly to his chest, "No. Not at all. If we can get everything done within a year or less, that would be perfect for me." Hell, he'd go to the courthouse in Virginia the moment they opened after the holidays if that was what she wanted. However, he knew that his family as well as hers would have kittens if they did something like that, but no matter what, he would make sure that she got the wedding of her dreams, and he'd be damned if he let anyone try to muscle in on their day.

Smiling at his words, Savvy turned her head slightly, "I think we can do a nice wedding in under a year." Yawning a bit, she snuggled deeper into his arms, knowing that it wouldn't take too long for her to drift off to sleep. As the sound of his heartbeat put her in a more relaxed state, one thing was for sure, she wasn't one for a huge wedding for her a small wedding with immediate family and a few friends would be perfect for her, but that wasn't something that they had to decide on tonight.

Closing her eyes, she could feel him getting comfortable behind her, "I love you, mi Guerrero." As she started to fall asleep, it was the feeling of his lips on the base of her neck that told her that he was truly the man for her, he loved her, protected her, and more importantly respected her. People went their entire lives without feeling that from someone and Savvy was smart enough to know how rare Luke really was. As the blackness took over, her last conscience thought was making sure that no matter what happened in their lives together, she would do everything in her power to make sure that he knew everyday that she would always appreciate him, love him, and respect him just as he has her.

Luke stared at the woman who was wrapped around his body, his eyes finding the ring glimmering from the moonlight that was trickling in. It was a wonderful feeling seeing it on her finger, for him it was a culmination of the first moment their lips touched in her office. Smiling at the memory of her excitement that jump started their relationship, and he knew that when they finally had their kids, he was going to tell them that their mother was the reason for everything.

Rubbing his thumb across her cheek, Luke couldn't help but smile as she leaned her body a little closer to him, "Even in your sleep you know that you're mine." He whispered into her ear. Running his nose up her cheek, enjoying how her natural jasmine scent calmed him deep into his soul. Settling down next to her, Luke knew that in the coming days, weeks, and months he knew that his life was going to change and that was something he was looking forward to. Finally, everything that he wanted in his life was falling into place and if he was being honest with himself, he never really thought that he would get the full package.

A loving woman that understood him in ways that no one else before has been able to, who not only supported his career but encouraged him to keep striving for more. Savanah truly was his gift, her heart was big, her soul was pure, and she was driven to succeed just like he was. Yawning, Luke wrapped his arms around her, pulling her as close as he could, "I love you, more than my own life." Kissing her temple, Luke knew that their future wasn't going to be perfect, but he finally had a real partner in this life, and he wasn't going to do anything in this life to fuck that up.

Closing his eyes one of the last thoughts that he had before he drifted off to sleep that he was finally going to be a husband and eventually a dad. "Thank you for loving me." He whispered into her ear. His heart, mind, and soul were finally at peace and all because a tiny red-headed computer geek chose to love him. It would be something that he would do everything in his power to honor, because anything less was an insult to her and he would never do knowingly do anything to hurt her.

"Goodnight, my love." Was the last sound from the room before they both drifted off to sleep, both dreaming of their future, and both excited to enjoy figuring it out.

- Thank you for choosing me.
- It was the only answer I could give. I love you.

- So close, don't stop.
- Scream for me, my dove.
- You're mine, my love.
- I have always been yours.
- my warrior.
