Mace is a porcupine. He has brown fur, black stripes and hair quaff, and orange eyes.
Mace was born into poverty alongside his siblings. After his parents die of starvation, in order to provide their children more food, Mace is put into an orphanage where he meets Clarice, who comforts him during his time of grief. He is adopted by the Cooper Gang.
Mace is extremely polite to everyone he meets, especially women, often calling Sydney "Miss Cooper" or "Dear Sister", even after she requests that he call her "Sydney." He also does anything possible to keep his friends safe, even turning into a spiked ball and ramming Azimuth's wrench out of his hand, saving Raiden who was being attacked by him. In contrast to his politeness, Mace is unafraid to take the moral high-ground when dealing with less than reputable characters and specific things, like alcoholism. Mace seems to be one of the few male characters who doesn't go after pretty girls. He also seems to get irritated when someone hits on his friends.
Mace's weapon of choice is a spiked mace and his quills.
