Toshinori's Choice
Chapter twenty-four: Into the work studies, persisting
The heroes were able to bail out the smaller group of heroes who were leading first year hero students in a mission to raid a supposed Trigger producing warehouse run by the interest of the now villainous Endeavor. However, the supposed interests of Endeavor turned out to have been a clever setup made by Dabi's Crew, in a bid to try to lure in Shoto Todoroki of UA's Class 1-A so that they could capture him in a bid to use him as bait to lure in Endeavor himself. Instead, Dabi's fellows ended up getting UA's C;ass 1-B (minus the injured Tetsutetsu but with Habuko from Uwabami's hero school), the Big Three from UA, and seven pro heroes.
By the time more backup for the heroes arrived and Dabi's fellows all fled, more of the boys in Class 1-B ended up joining Tetsutetsu in the catagory of 'those who had been utterly throttled'. The newly injured boys, those being Sen, Togaru, Jurota, Kosei, Manga, Kojiro, and Hiryu, were all hurt to varying degrees. Some are expected to recover in due time, but some were also dealt crippling injuries that put their ability to continue in the hero course into peril. Itsuka would have busted the chops of the injured boys who are part of the party guilty of sabotaging Class 1-A, but Kinoko who anticipated it cut Itsuka off before she could do so.
"Itsuka, scolding the guilty boys who were hurt will just be rubbing salt in their wounds," Kinoko said, "We ought to focus on trying to make the innocent boys who were hurt feel better. Including Tetsutetsu who was hurt before this raid."
"Komori's got a point," Yosetsu spoke up, getting Itsuka and Kinoko to turn to face Yosetsu as he with Nirengeki and Juzo walked up to the girls, "We've... we've taken a beating so far, and I'm getting vibes that our suffering ain't over yet."
Looking to the boys, Itsuka asked, "Did any of you hear word of how our classmates hurt tonight are doing?"
Juzo had a grim look on his face. "...Sen, Kosei, Manga, and Koljiro were all hurt badly, but all of them are expected to recover. Togaru, Jurota, and Hiryu all ended up joining Tetsutetsu in the club of boys injured to the point their ability to continue in UA's hero course had been put into peril. Jurota was also stated to have suffered a very nearly fatal level of blood loss, barely scraping by." Looking to the girls, seeing the heartbroken looks of being horrified on their faces, Juzo said, "Yeah, we took one hell of a beating tonight. We're all still alive, no doubting that. But we took one hell of a beating."
Itsuka shuddered, as if she couldn't help it. "We're... we're in for a long one, aren't we, boys?"
"Yeah, this is what happens when Monoma leads a few other dumbasses in our class into trying to screw Momo's class over out of petty jealousy," Yosetsu scowled bitterly, "Not only did Monoma and his like-minded fellows sour relations between our class and Momo'a class, but now some of us are getting at each others' throats in our own class. No doubt some of our guys getting really banged up tonight will sour things even more."
"Knowing Monoma, he'll somehow find a way to pin this on Class 1-A," Nirengeki snarked dryly.
As the teens talked, they were met up by the pro heroes Mirko, Ryukyu, and Uwabami who was accompanied by Habuko. "Well I just got off the phone with Rin's folks," Ryukyu said, "Didn't know the whole family moved here from China. Anyway, I had to explain to them why their son was taken to the hospital as well as why he wasn't under my watch." Letting out a sigh, the Dragon Hero said, "Things... things here had become an utter nightmare."
Folding her arms over her chest, Uwabami with an unamused look said, "That blonde boy in Kendo's class is a real nightmare, passing the buck of blame to the hero academy I founded when Usagi and Felgrand got mad when they found out why Endeavor's son isn't able to go out into the field."
"Actually, Uwabami," Habuko spoke up, getting everyone to turn to face her, "They're actually upset with finding out that their older sister was sabotaged to be made to fail the provisional licence exams."
A look of realization appeared across Uwabami's face. "Oh yeah, they're the little siblings of that Asui girl. I kind of forgot that because the blonde boy in the same class as Kendo at UA had decided that putting a target on the back of my school was a good idea. At least that boy with the pitch black skin and stark white hair had the right idea, blame someone who wasn't present at the time to defend themselves."
"Those villains... Usagi and Felgrand..." Mirko said, "Are... are they really evil?"
Habuko immediately shook her head in the negative. "No, Satsuki and Samidare are the sweetest kids you'll ever meet. I actually remember the day I first met them, shortly after Tsu and I became friends and she invited me over to her family's house..."
(FLASHBACK)
Over at the Asui residence, Tsuyu and Habuko, the latter having her hair still bushy, walked in through the front door. "W-Wow," Habuko said, "I still can't believe that I got invited to a friend's house, or that I have a friend."
"I'm surprised to have a friend myself kero," Tsuyu said, "As well as being able to invite said friend over."
Habuko was about to speak up, but got cut off when she and Tsuyu heard a little girl's voice call out, "Wow, your scaly snake skin is pretty!" Both teen girls turned to look and saw Satsuki standing right there, looking right up at them. Turning to look more towards Tsuyu, Satsuki said while pointing at Habuko, "Tsuyu, who's your new friend with the pretty scaly snake skin?"
"This is Habuko," Tsuyu said, "And Habuko, this is my little sister Satsuki. I'm sorry if her being forward about your app-"
"She's not bothered by how my quirk gave me the neck and head of a snake?" Habuko remarked, "I mean, most kids like her typically run scared the first time that they see me."
Satsuki had a hint of confusion in her expression. "You're suppose to be scary? Well I don't see it." As Satsuki looked up at Habuko more, Samidare came walking out into the living room and saw everyone.
Seeing Samidare enter, Tsuyu said, "Oh Habuko, that's my little brother Sami-" Tsuyu stopped short when Samidare suddenly turned to go into the kitchen.
"Yeah, that's more in line with how younger kids act when they first see me," Habuko remarked, "They run away because they're scared of how I look."
"Trust me, Samidare isn't scared of you," Tsuyu replied, "He probably just-" Tsuyu stopped short when Samidare came walking back out from the kitchen, carrying a donut wrapped in a paper towel and a can of soda. He then walked up to Habuko and held both out to her. Tsuyu chuckled when she saw the look of touched surprise on Habuko's face. "...Yeah, that kero." Habuko later got it that Samidare's first thoughts upon seeing her in the house was to bring her a snack and a drink because she's a guest and he plus his family had to be good hosts by offering her refreshments.
Habuko was sincerely touched; Tsuyu's little siblings weren't scared of her, instead they either said nice things about her and how she looked (Habuko also wasn't used to kids saying nice things about her appearance) or brought her a snack and drink. In fact, when it was time for Habuko to leave, Satsuki and Samidare both hugged her and asked her to come back again sometime. Tsuyu was also touched by how sweet her little siblings were being. "Well yeah," Samidare said, "She's a friend, isn't she?"
(FLASHBACK OVER)
"Yeah, sounds like they're so sweet that being in close proximity to them can cause one to develop diabetes," Juzo remarked.
"And to think kids like them ended up becoming two of the more powerful, dangerous, and feared villains in Japan," Nirengeki went on, "All because of one bad day."
The heroes reaffirmed that Usagi and Felgrand, Satsuki and Samidare, are not villains that need to be beaten down (chances are they can't be beaten down anyway due to being way too strong for it to be possible for the heroes). Rather, they are sweet young kids who suffered a single, really bad day and due to not knowing any better are lashing out in the only way they know. They also showed that it's possible to reason with them, although more of this came from Usagi. Even so, they can be saved. They have to be saved from the suffering they're going through.
If Usagi and Felgrand are saved, then it'll make things easier for the heroes as a whole to deal with.
The next evening, over on UA grounds, the Big Three met up with some of Class 1-B's students; Yosetsu, Juzo, Nirengeki, Itsuka, Kinoko, and Reiko. There was a bit of shuffling around due to the injuries of Tetsutetsu and Hiryu, both boys being taken out of commission due to the injuries that they had suffered. But that was beside the point. All of the UA students there were rather groggy to be up at so ungodly an hour. Mirio looked to the six students from UA's Class 1-B that he, Nejire, and Tamaki had to work with for this.
"Are you guys ready for your first major real taste of pro hero work?" Mirio asked.
"I'm ready for bed," Juzo yawned.
"Me too," Tamaki remarked.
Nejire chuckled a bit in amusement. "Yeah, that's one-hundred percent Tamaki right there." To the 1-B students, Nejire went on, "This mission is very important for a multitude of reasons. Taking down efforts commandeered by the now villainous Endeavor aside, there's also the fact that we need to rescue Eri from the grasp of the villains who took her away. Also, Ryukyu says that info provided by All Might strongly suggests that the villainous group led by Dabi will try to throw their hat into the ring, and that means we may have a run-in with Usagi and Felgrand."
The 1-B students all nodded in understanding, knowing full well that things were about to get rather dicey for Japanese hero society as a whole. Two major villainous threats with one led by a former pro hero who had been disgraced, and the other villainous threat had two major powerhouses that could spell major disaster for Japan if they aren't stopped one way or the other. Nirengeki asked if there would at least be some coffee at the pre-raid meeting that Sir Nighteye was going to hold, to which Mirio nodded in the affirmative, even saying that Sir Nighteye keeps a good stock of various flavored creamers for coffee.
"Sir Nighteye's favorite flavor of coffee creamer is Hazelnut," Mirio remarked, "I once remember Sir Nighteye saying that Hazelnut creamer covers up all sins." With the assurance that there at least was going to be coffee, the 1-B students with the Big Three got ready to head on out with them to the pre-raid meeting that Sir Nighteye was hosting before they paid the Shie Hassaikai a little visit.
...
Later at the meeting Sir Nighteye held before the raid on the Shie hassaikai hideout, as everyone was enjoying coffee, Sir Nighteye took out an unopened toy still in its box, but it had a plastic cover on it that showed the toy inside. A toy clearly geared towards girls Eri's age. "Within moments we'll be conducting the raid on the Shie Hassaikai hideout," Sir nighteye said, "And this toy confirms that Eri is within the walls of said hideout."
Gesturing to the toy, Mirko asked, "And how in blazes is this toy proof that the kid is still within the hold of those villains?"
"I saw a thug level member of the Shie Hassaikai buying one of these, which aroused my suspicion," Sir Nighteye said. He then went on to explain that he used his quirk, Foresight, on the man to see into the man's future, and saw the man go into the Shie Hassaikai hideout that the heroes and police are about to raid. The man in the vision was also seen handing the toy to Eri.
Some of the heroes present were steamed that a young child was being held hostage; it's bad enough some young children were being led astray, but another one is straight up being held hostage. As everyone finished their coffee, Gran Torino (who like Sir Nighteye got Hazelnut flavored creamer for his coffee) said that the police who are coming along with the heroes will bring a warrant that will help to smooth over any legal rough feathers. Everyone then gave cheers of excitement, aside from the more quiet and reserved kinds like Sir Nighteye, Aizawa, and Tamaki, as they all psyched themselves up for the mission.
Later in the morning, pro heroes and police were gathered outside of the Shie Hassaikai hideout, ready to go in. "Hey, where did that old man who was giving my classmates and I the evil eye go off to?" Yosetsu asked.
"You mean Gran Torino?" Aizawa replied, "He had to divert to go handle some business involving Dabi's Crew that suddenly popped up." The underground hero then turned to look forward, thinking about Yosetsu saying about Gran Torino giving him and the other 1-B students the 'evil eye'. No doubt it's due to Gran Torino being very upset with Class 1-B having sabotaged Class 1-A to make them fail the provisional licence exams. Aizawa was likewise very unamused, although he at least knew that not ALL of Sekijiro's students were responsible and, out of the six present, only one was part of the guilty party.
But that business could be settled later as, right when Sir Nighteye called out that the time just hit 8:30 AM, the operation against the Shie Hassaikai was launched. One of the policemen went up to the door along the wall surrounding the Shie Hassaikai base, pressed a button to speak into the intercom. "Hey, we have a warrant to search the place," the policeman said, "Let us in to search the grounds!"
"You guys can munch my butt!" the voice of an early to mid twenties woman called out from the speaker.
Fatgum, upon hearing that woman's voice, went a bit wide-eyed with shocked realization. "...That's the voice of Burnin," said the BMI Hero, "She's one of the sidekick level pro heroes who used to work at Endeavor's agency before it was shut down following Endeavor losing his hero status and going villain. I heard that a number of former Endeavor sidekicks followed the bastard himself into villainy due to being unable to get any other work anywhere else, but to think a lady hero as good as Burnin had gone down the path of villainy..."
Seeing as how the men within were not opening the door for the heroes and police, some of the heroes, at the cue from the police, simply busted the gate door down, as well as some of the wall surrounding the door. Mirko simply kicked the door itself down, although Ryukyu transformed to her dragon form and busted down some of the wall. When the police and pro heroes swarmed in, there were a few thug level members of the Shie Hassaikai in the front yard area, along with two identified former sidekick level pro heroes who worked for Endeavor and followed him into villainy when they failed to find work elsewhere.
Although the bad guys had a slight numbers advantage over the police and heroes, quality soon trumped quantity, although the former sidekick level pro heroes had almost rushed Mirko before they were taken out by Ryukyu who flew in. With things outside settled, a number of the police and pro heroes were able to rush in and go after Chronostasis and Mimic, who were bound to be leading things here at Endeavor's discretion.
...
Meanwhile, deep within the reaches of the Shie Hassaikai hideout, Chronostasis and Mimic looked up. "Shit, the heroes and police are here," Chronostasis swore under his breath, "And we're no closer to finding out how to make more quirk destroying bullets and the like."
Mimic checked himself, saw that he still had the gun loaded with the last three quirk destroying bullets; he also had some throwing knives. "We can render a particularly troublesome hero quirkless," Mimic said, "And I have good experience in using my throwing knives. But if the quirk destroying bullets get used up, then we're out of any bargaining power we have against Dabi's group until after we figure out how to make more. Damn that bastard Rappa, he screwed us over by taking what all he did when he turned traitor against the Shie Hassaikai."
"And to make things even tougher for us, all of the remaining members of the Eight Bullets jumped ship when we welcomed in Endeavor and those who followed him," Chronostasis pointed out, "They also took two healing girls with them, but I fail to see how thug level members like them are of any value. The point is that we only have cannon fodder to buy time for us to escape."
Mimic nodded in agreement with Chronostasis, citing how the Shie Hassaikai would have been utterly fucked if it weren't for the boost to power they can field that Endeavor and his followers brought to the table. Regardless, they had to put effort into finding what notes the late Kai chisaki may have left behind on how to make the quirk destroying bullets, then grab those notes plus Eri before making their escape. They also had to focus solely on gathering the notes and grabbing Eri before they made their escape, hoping like hell the number of men they had would be sufficient to buy them the time that they needed.
It's not like they had any choice in the matter exactly.
The heroes and the police were able to storm in, and the heroes who rushed in were having an easy time with the thugs that they encountered, although the police were in need of some help here and there. Fat Gum was rushed by an enemy trio consisting of two Shie Hassaikai thugs and one male Endeavor sidekick, but those three were struck down by a hail of objects. Turning to look, Fat Gum saw that it was Reiko who had covered him as she rushed in, Kinoko by her side. "You're the Yanagi girl that Ryukyu scooped up when the Rin boy got put on ice," Fat Gum remarked dryly.
"That I am," Reiko replied.
Fat Gum's eyes narrowed suspiciously. "You know, I was employing your classmate Steel before he got hurt and had to be checked into the hospital. He told me who all in his class is on the list of students guilty of sabotaging your rival class, and He said y-"
"I know," Reiko said, cutting Fat Gum off. The BMI Hero heard a hint of troubled regret in Reiko's tone, telling Fat Gum that Reiko was regretting her part in sabotaging UA's Class 1-A to fail the provisional licence exams. "I... I just thought that if I won against... against him..." Reiko said, "...If I bested him in some way, then it'd help me get him to like me back. A best him to bed him kind-of deal. At least that's how Monoma sold the idea to me as."
Fat Gum turned back around, punched out a Shie Hassaikai thug. "I'm guessing you got the hots for a 1-A boy."
"Who undoubtedly hates me and the rest of my classmates because of how our class cheated his out of being able to pass the provisional license exams," Reiko went on, using her quirk to control more objects to hail down on the Shie Hassaiaki thugs, "I bet his classmates also hate me and mine."
"The plan to attract him by trumping him might have worked if you had trumped him fairly," Fat Gum said, "Rather than by trumping him by taking part in a scheme that saw to his class being cheated out of passing the exams."
A look of regret spread across Reiko's face. "Please don't remind me."
The heroes and police proceeded to rush right on in further into the Shie Hassaikai base, their trekking surprisingly uninterrupted. Things were looking pretty smooth for the heroes and police rushing into the base to try and find and locate Eri. Fat Gum could only assume that things were going similarly as well for the heroes and police who were still outside.
...
The pro heroes and police who were outside were fighting neck in neck with the Shie Hassaikai thugs that swarmed out. Ryukyu was able to handle her own quite well despite a few of the thugs ganging up on her. And Nejire was able to fly above all the fighting and send spiraling energy waves down at the villains, remaining virtually untouched. But the numbers confronting the heroes and police outside of the Shie Hassaikai base was causing some trouble for them.
"Why did you send Shemage and Emily in to help the heroes inside?" Nejire asked as she looked over to Ryukyu.
"We're able to handle ourselves out here just fine, although it is close," Ryukyu said as she swatted a thug away, "I was figuring that Taishiro and his intern Suneater could use the backup!"
Nejire blasted another thug away with her spiraling energy waves. "Hay, Tamaki doesn't work for some guy named Taishiro," Nejire said, "Tamaki works for Fat Gum!"
"Fat Gum's real name is Taishiro," Ryukyu pointed out before swatting a female thug away, saving a male police officer in the process.
Nejire looked over and saw that the thugs were regrouping, and she even spotted two former sidekick level pro heroes that worked for Endeavor and ended up following him into villainy. "We got more trouble, Ryukyu," Nejire said, "And some sidekicks of Endeavor's that followed him into villainy are over there."
The Dragon Hero wore a a mildly concerned expression of troubled regret on her face. "The reason why so many who worked for Endeavor when he was a hero followed him into villainy is because they were finding it virtually impossible to find work otherwise, due to the reputation Endeavor had acquired. People thought Endeavor's former sidekicks would go villain like him, they shunned the former sidekicks and treated them like they were already villains. They ended up joining Endeavor because it was the only way they could make any sort of living."
Nejire understood what her hero mentor was getting at, and scoffed at the injustice that Endeavor's former sidekicks were dealt. They, through no fault of their own, got a bad rep because their disgraced boss got a bad rep. They lost opportunities, got reviled, because of the man that many ended up having to follow into villainy because it was the only way they could make a living. They essentially were forced to go down a villainous path because people automatically assumed that they would without even giving them a chance to prove otherwise.
A sort of self-fulfilling prophesy where Endeavor's former sidekicks became villains because the people assumed they would end up becoming villains. It would seem that Tsuyu Asui and her younger siblings were not the only ones given a raw deal, and Nejire noticed it that everyone in that case who got a raw deal ended up getting their respective raw deals because of the disgraced Flame Hero. But Nejire's newfound sympathy for Endeavor's sidekicks who followed him into villain had to be put on hold so that the heroes and police can deal with everyone outside of the Shie Hassaikai base.
Nejire spotted it as a trio of police officers were surrounded by half a dozen thugs. Nejire flew up to try and get within range to strike the thugs, but she stopped short when she as well as everyone else heard some stomping coming on up to them. Loud, heavy stomping that made the ground quake as the stomping sounded like it was getting closer and closer. Within due time, Nejire as well as Ryukyu spotted it as Usagi the Rabbit-Earred Giantess came rushing on up to the scene of the mass fight, carrying Katsukame under her lower left arm like a sack of potatoes, and carrying two girls under her upper and lower right arms.
When Usagi reached the battlefield, she put down her passengers, whereupon Katsukame proceeded to fight the thugs and Endeavor sidekicks, while Usagi jumped over the battlefield to land on the other side, making the ground quake with her large and heavy landing before she turned around and swung her foot in an arc that struck a couple of other thugs. "Hey heroes!" Katsukame shouted while punching away an Endeavor sidekick, "What's the progress on rescuing that little girl that Prick-deavor and his bum buddies took from UA?"
"What are you villains doing here and why do you care about our progress in rescuing the Eri girl?" Ryukyu demanded.
Katsukame punched away another thug. "The Shie Hassaikai lost its purpose when Prick-deavor and his bum buddies were allowed in and allowed to take over running the show," Katsukame replied, "It's why the rest of the Eight Bullets and I jumped ship to climb aboard the ship that Rappa joined! We also brought along those Revy and Agari girls when they said they wanted to bail as well, and they had proved useful!"
Nejire turned to look and saw that one of the villain women that Usagi deposited was now healing the injured Mr. Brave. The girl healing Mr. Brave was notably plump but nowhere near as much as Ochaco Uraraka. However, after Mr. Brave was fully healed the plump villain woman looked to have lost some of her plumpness. "I got about forty kilograms left to spare before I'm out of excess fat," the plump healing girl said, "After that, I'll be unable to heal anymore injuries."
"Your healing quirk uses your excess body fat as a fuel source, I take it," Mr. Brave remarked as he thanked the plump villain woman for healing his injuries.
Nejire landed near where Mr. Brave was talking to the plump villain woman. When she saw Nejire land, the plump villain woman took out a folded up map. "I'm not sure how useful this will be, but this is a map of the compound," the plump villain woman said as she handed the map to Nejire, "I marked the spot that I feel is most likely where the girl taken from UA is being kept."
Gingerly taking the map from the plump villain woman, Nejire said, "...I still find it odd that villains are helping the heroes and police take down other villains."
"Better you guys winning in the end than that flaming sack of crap," replied the plump villain woman with a shrug.
Nejire nodded once in thanks before turning back to see Usagi sweep some thugs away from rushing Ryukyu, using the back of her upper right hand to do so. Flying up, Nejire flew close enough to Usagi to speak to her. "So what intel we got is proving right," Nejire said as she got Usagi's attention, "You aren't really bad, Satsuki."
"Endeavor is the real bad guy," Usagi countered, "The thugs I pushed away work for Endeavor according to Mr. Dabi. Also, those thugs were about to try ganging up on the dragon hero lady that big brother thinks is the best hero."
Ryukyu took pause, flew up a bit to be more level with Usagi's face. "Yes, young lady, I know that you and your big brother respect Mirko and I. That being said, would you young lady be willing to hear me out?"
"After I beat up Endeavor for killing my mommy and daddy," Usagi replied, "I still have to make him pay. Big brother also wants to make Endeavor pay for what he did."
"I heard that neither of you plan to actually kill Endeavor," Nejire said.
Usagi nodded in the affirmative. "Yeah, because if he's dead then Endeavor can't be made to pay for what he did. Also, beating him up in that case won't really do anything. He needs to be alive in order to be punished."
Nejire nodded in agreement. "Yes, yes he does need to be brought in alive," Nejire said, "You and your big brother have good heroic instincts." Ryukyu saw that Nejire was trying to praise Usagi for having the right idea, hoping to butter her up to make her easier to reason with.
However, although it did put Usagi in a better mood, she wasn't exactly ready to hear her or Ryukyu out. "Yeah, the good guys beat up the bad guys, I saw on the news how Mirko had done so, like, a lot. That's why big brother and I aren't gonna give up until we get to Endeavor and beat him up really, really good. After that, Mr. Dabi says we have to leave Endeavor to him, he said he'll bring Endeavor to the police personally."
Ryukyu looked suspicious at what she had just learned; apparently, Dabi is requiring Usagi and Felgrand to leave Endeavor to him after they get their chance to beat him up, with Dabi saying he'll turn him over to the police. But All Might's intel on Dabi strongly suggests that the blue flame villain might actually be planning to kill Endeavor instead. Dabi was reported to have a deep-seated, burning hatred for the disgraced Flame Hero. No doubt Dabi actually wants to kill Endeavor, and is more than glad to let Usagi and Felgrand rough Endeavor up for him, as that would be bound to make the job of killing Endeavor easier for him.
There's also how Ryukyu and Nejire weren't exactly able to fully reason with Usagi. But then again Usagi, who is Tsuyu Asui's little sister Satsuki, wasn't a fan of Ryukyu's, and Nejire was getting vibes that Satsuki only knew who Ryukyu was because Satsuki's brother Samidare, who is Felgrand, is a Ryukyu fan. Nejire wished that it had been Felgrand rather than Usagi who showed up here. Maybe then Ryukyu would have more of a charisma bonus when it came to trying to parley, as Samidare is a fan of hers, also he's confirmed to be a child on the spectrum, and Ryukyu has a lot of experience and ease working with such kids.
Even so, seeing the villains who were part of Dabi's brood here was an oddly relieving sight, as they were focused solely on helping with getting Eri back from the villains who had kidnapped her. Hopefully some of Dabi's Crew could be captured, and Nejire was hoping they could get Mirko out her in time before Usagi left in the hopes of having Mirko try to reason with Usagi. Likewise, Nejire hoped that she and Ryukyu could find Felgrand and try to parley with him. Nejire was also really wishing that Class 1-A of UA wasn't sabotaged by their rival class into failing the provisional licence exams.
That would have meant that Tsuyu would be free to be sent out into the field, and she could have helped a whole lot in trying to reason with Usagi and Felgrand.
END,CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR
Author's notes;
This chapter sees more of Class 1-B run through the wringer before the Shie Hassaikai raid starts. The heroes and police have a much easier time against the weakened opposition, even though some of Endeavor's followers are beefing things up. Nejire and Ryukyu are able to attempt to parley with Usagi, but they don't see much success as Usagi is a fan of Mirko's.
