Feeling hungry, Trina made her way to the main kitchen. Rumor had it that Ruby had made some fried chicken and that was her craving at that moment. It was late and everyone was asleep, or at least Trina assumed they were, which was why she was surprised to find Ruby in the kitchen going over meal prep for the next day.

"Why hello, there sugar! Welcome home!" Ruby gave a warm smile. She had heard rumblings from the servants of what was going on with the young couple and Ruby's heart went out to them both. It mustn't be easy for the young man to be part of such a dangerous family and feel like the crimes of his forefathers were to be laid on his young shoulders and to be a young girl in love and be pushed away by the young man of her heart. It was all so sad.

"Oh, hello. I didn't know that anyone was in here...I was just having a craving for fried chicken," Trina blushed, a little embarrassed at having been caught.

"Oh, we have plenty of fried chicken left over. Sit down and I'll make you a plate, dear. Word has it that you're eating for two now!" Ruby got to her feet and headed for the refrigerator.

"That I am. We have a baby Cassadine in the making. I just wish that things were a lot happier than they are...but…"

"Sometimes news like this can give a small glimmer of hope and happiness."

"Do you really think so? I just want him…," Trina sighed, cutting herself off. She didn't want to go into anything with anyone, not even Ruby, who reminded her of a warm grandmother whom she could just bury herself in her arms and just feel like everything was alright. Like her own grandmother who was back in Texas. She felt tears as she thought of her.

"Oh sweetie, what's wrong?" Ruby frowned, seeing the tears in Trina's eyes.

"Oh, nothing. I'm just hyper-emotional. I just...miss my grams all of a sudden."

"That child in you is going to make you feel all kinds of ways before it's all said or done," Ruby gave a warm, yet sad smile. "Just hang in there. You'll get through it."

"But I don't want to get through it alone. I need...something I can't have right now."

"What is it, sweetie? You can tell me," Ruby asked, just as Spencer entered the kitchen and froze when he saw the two women.

"Oh...I'm sorry. I didn't know that there was anyone here...I…"

Ruby smiled, knowing what the girl needed. "The young lady was having a craving for fried chicken. I was about to make her a plate. I'll make you one too. Sit," Ruby nodded to the chair right next to Trina.

"Oh, you don't have to do that for me…"

"Of course I do! A couple that eats together, stays together. Especially where there's a wee one in development," Ruby winked. "Besides, your girl can use the company."

Spencer's eyes fell on Trina and he frowned to see her rubbing tears out of her eyes. "Trina, are you crying?"

Trina sniffed. "No...yes...I'm just a little over-emotional right now…"

"The girl is a little homesick for her grandmother I do believe," Ruby spilled, knowing that what Trina needed was her husband.

Spencer indeed went to her and took the seat that Ruby had offered. He took Trina's small hands in his, feeling guilty for being one of the reasons she was in pain. "I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault. You shouldn't be sorry," Trina pulled away, looking away from him. "I'm just being emotional because of the pregnancy…"

"Do you need to see her? I can send you to her…"

"You still want to get rid of me?" her voice was accusing and full of hurt.

"No! No, I realize now that wasn't a good idea. I had only wanted to protect you and keep you safe and at the time...safety was where I wasn't. It killed me letting you go...but I was trying not to be selfish…"

"But you're trying to do it again!"

"No, I'm not! I was just trying to help you! If you want your grandmother, I could either get you to her or get her to you…"

Trina sighed and shook her head. When she thought about it, it just seemed like too much trouble. Why have Spencer's family spend all of that money to do something for her, when it wasn't even a matter of life and death? "No. Don't worry about it. I don't want to be any trouble."

Spencer opened his mouth, wanting to tell her that it was no trouble. That what's his is hers. But after what he had done, he didn't want to push her. "Trina...I just wanted to protect the one person that I loved more than anything in the world…that's why I did what I did. I didn't care how much it had hurt, I just wanted you safe."

Trina sighed and looked him straight in the eye. "But I was always safe with you, Spencer! There was never a time when I wasn't! I don't know why you assumed that I wasn't safe...that I needed to be away from you because when I'm away from you, I can't breathe. It's like that one song...no air. When I'm not with you, I can't breathe. It's like there's no air!"

Tears fell from Spencer's eyes, really realizing just how much he had hurt Trina. He hated himself for it. Yes, he had thought that he was doing the right thing, but he hadn't really realized how ripping his own heart out was affecting her.

"I'm sorry. I know that you can't forgive me right now, and that's fine. I don't deserve your forgiveness. It's just...I am sorry...not for trying to keep you safe from my crazy family...but for how I went about it. I should never have pushed you away.

Trina felt her tears streaming down her cheeks, much to her frustration. She wanted him to just wrap his arms around her and hold her in his arms so badly, yet she couldn't put a voice to the need, she was too annoyed with him, so she just sat there and cried in frustration.

"You really hurt my feelings," Trina sniffled, unaware of just how adorable she looked at that moment.

"I'm so sorry. I am an asshole. A real big asshole that doesn't deserve such a pretty queen for his wife," Spencer placed a gentle hand against her cheek. "I'm so sorry, baby."

Trina couldn't help it, her sobs became more intense because her body was physically in need of his proximity. She didn't know why she felt so...clingy, but she did.

Spencer didn't know what to do but to wrap his arms around her, but he wasn't sure if that would have been welcomed. After all, he was the one that had hurt her and caused her this pain, but he couldn't just sit there and do nothing as she cried, so he decided that if she didn't want him to touch her, she could push him away, so he did wrap his arms around her and to his surprise, she moved into his lap and wrapped her arms around him, hiding her face against his chest. He hugged her tight, afraid to question any of it. Did this mean that he was forgiven?

The couple were so caught up in each other, that they didn't even notice Ruby put two plates of food before them and then smiled warmly as she gathered her purse and went home for the night.

It was Trina who came back to reality, lured by the scent of fried chicken. Somehow she had gone from simply sitting on his lap to straddling him. Spencer didn't seem to mind. In fact, his arms tightened around her as she lifted her head to look around.

"Where is it? The fried chicken?" Trina's eyes scanned the area, her craving back in full force.

Spencer chuckled and picked up a drumstick off one of the plates. "Here you go, baby. A nice juicy drumstick." He held it up to her mouth, where she took a big bite of it. He smiled as he watched the juices run down her chin. He couldn't help but lean over and lick the liquid off her soft skin that tasted even better than the chicken.

"I love you, Trina," He moaned, feeling his heart beat fast in his chest.

Meanwhile, Trina's breath was taken away, because that was the sexiest thing Spencer had ever done to her yet. She shifted on his lap, feeling the first tingles of desire as she felt his hardness press against her bottom insistently. It made her want him even more, especially when he moaned and shifted in his seat, trying to get more comfortable.

"Careful," he moaned.

"What if I'm not?" Trina whispered, her voice teasing, but her eyes were heated with desire.

"We may end up making this table a bed…," Spencer chuckled. "You're supposed to be eating, remember…"

Trina continued to eat the chicken, still aware of his body beneath hers. Feeling her own need building, she began to rock against him, looking for friction. She smirked as he gave a deep moan and his hands gripped the table. She could tell that he was trying to keep it together. "Trina….

You're torturing me…"

"After what you did...good," Trina smirked before devouring his lips like she did that chicken. Suddenly, the plates of chicken were being moved out of the way and Trina found herself on the table. Her eyes widened, realizing what was about to happen. "Spencer! Ruby cooks here, stop!"

Spencer came out of his daze enough to lift Trina off the table and carried her out of the kitchen. He claimed her lips again as he carried her up the stairs and to the bedroom he was now sleeping in. Trina then found herself on the bed with him hovering over her.

"Better?" He asked his mind in a heated haze.

Trina didn't answer. She just pulled him down into a heated kiss and hooked her legs around his waist.

They both made short work of their clothes and soon Spencer was inside of her, gently rocking his hips at a luxurious pace, loving the moans of pleasure coming from his wife, who gripped his arms and back, until they both came with a lustful moan.

Aware that she was carrying precious cargo, Spencer collapsed to the side of her, panting heavily, his entire body exhausted. Trina wasn't nearly as satisfied. She was exhausted, but she needed to be closer, so she rolled on top of his warm body and was satisfied when his arms came around her and held her tight against him.

"Trina…"

"I'm still mad at you," She simply stated and then sighed, laying her head against his chest. "But I need this. Don't ask me why. I just do."

Spencer didn't say anything else. He just kissed the top of her head and inwardly promised never to hurt her again.
