When Ren woke up, he realized that he was once again in the Velvet Room, wearing his worn out prison garb, his handcuffs and the annoying metal ball attached to his ankle. Similarly when Kira woke up she also realized that she was wearing her straightjacket and eventually came to the same conclusion. "...About time you've woken up." Caroline barked as she slapped the bars of Ren's cell door with her baton before waltzing to Kira's side and doing the same against the clear plastic shield "On your feet, Inmates!" she hissed as Justine spoke up kindly. "Our master wishes to speak with you two. It's for your own sake that you both take his words to heart." The two nodded as Igor spoke.
"First off, let us celebrate our reunion with a gift." he said snapping his fingers as the two prisoners clutched their heads as memories that they hadn't experienced flooded their brains. "I have given you the ability to tap into each other's memories while you are switched," he explained, interlocking his fingers and resting his head on his hands. "Oh…? You two have awakened to your powers- and special ones at that." He said before chuckling, "Now your rehabilitation can finally begin." The two prisoners looked at each other as Ren spoke up. "My powers?" he asked before Kira spoke up. "Rehabilitation?" Igor nodded "There is no need to understand it all for the time being. You two will be training the power of Persona, which you have awakened to. Personas are, in other words, a 'mask'- an armour of the heart when confronting worldly matters." the mysterious man explained. "I have high expectations for you." he said gleefully. "What do you mean?" Ren asked the man while Kira just remained silent. "There is no need to worry. You will learn when the time comes. By the way… have you come to appreciate the Metaverse Navigator?" he asked the two teenagers as he continued.
"Using it will allow you to come and go between reality and Palaces." he explained as the teens raised their eyebrows. "Palaces?" Kira asked as Ren interjected "Metaverse Navigator?" Igor nodded "...I bestowed it to you two as a means to train you as thieves." he said to the teenagers as Caroline barked. "The Metaverse Navigator is a gift from our master! You two better take care in using it, Inmates!" Justine nodded before adding. "Devote yourself to your training so that you may become fine thieves." Just then, Igor spoke up. "It must be disheartening to make use of the Metaverse Navigator alone. Should there be others who would prove beneficial to both of you, I will grant it to them as well." The old man explained to them. "This is all for you both to grow as excellent thieves…" Just then an alarm started going off as Caroline spoke up. "Hmph, it's time. Go back and enjoy whatever rest you two have…" she said as the two teenagers blacked out and Ren woke up in his own body.
