While Naoto was holding off Goku, Naruto and Sasuke were still tumbling down that cliff they fell from. There were bumps. There were thuds. There was Sasuke almost losing an eye, (which he REALLY can't afford to) and there was yet another accidental kiss between the two male shinobi!

Finally, the duo crashed into an abandoned shack. They burst through the ceiling and landed on a moldy mattress. Naruto and Sasuke sat back up and were spitting like they had just tasted something disgusting.

"Why is it I always end up kissing you?!" Sasuke shouted.

"You took those words right out of my mouth!" Naruto frantically replied.

"Ugh… We'll, at least you didn't get killed after you just bolted off like that. What happened with Kurama back there, Naruto?"

Naruto scratched his head and groaned. He tried his best to sum up what happeNed.

"I have no idea. He flipped, I somehow ran into Ms. Noel, then a bunch of these guys started attacking me, saying that I hurt their friend or something!"

"Personally, I think it has something to do with that Ryukki/Ōtsutsuki punk from earlier." Said Kurama after he summoned a small avatar of his head using his Chakra.

"Nobody asked you!" Naruto grunted.

"So these guys think you're guilty of something. What do you think you did? Did you steal ramen from them? A prank gone wrong?" Sasuke assumed.

"Funny. How should I know?!"

Naruto and Sasuke both groaned and laid back down onto the gross bed. Naruto looked around at the room. To his anxiousness, there were hearts and rainbow flags everywhere. Just their luck. This was a lovers shack. A gay lovers shack!

"Ugh! Somehow, I always knew I would end up in bed with you…" Naruto groaned.

"Don't. Ever. Say. That. Again." Sasuke demanded threateningly.

…

*With the Super Saiyans*

…

"There's no Hell, only darkness!"

Naoto mustered all the power his lungs had and screamed a mighty roar. The giant bloody water serpents all swarmed Goku. All eight heads charged at once, but Goku jumped up out of the way.

'Man, this is unbelievable! Who the heck is this kid, and why does he look so much like Ragna?!' Goku wondered.

Naoto used his Bloodedge to direct the serpents at Son again. One was rising from below; its mouth opened wide in an attempt to eat the Saiyan. Goku took the serpent head on. He was caught between the beast's fangs. Goku was using all his strength to keep the serpent from closing its jaws.

He turned his head, another serpent was closing in from his behind. Goku had no choice. He took a deep breath and dove down into the blood water serpent in front of him. He was going to have to swim his way out!

Goku swam as hard as he could through the serpent's body. The blood in the water made the liquid thicker and harder from him to see. There wasn't any sign of an exit anywhere. He escaped the other beast, but ended up with a dead end. Only one option left. Goku charged up his Ki and fired off a giant blue laser.

"KAMEHAMEHAAAAA!!!"

The beam tore through the serpent and caused it to explode. Goku was free. He gasped for air and coughed hard.

"This is just wrong..! I'm coughing up blood that isn't even mine..!" He stated while gagging.

"I'm not done!"

Naoto waved his arm. The serpents converged on Goku again. They weren't giving him anytime to recover, so Goku had counter fast. He created two large Disrtucto Disks in his hands. Once the serpents got close enough, Goku used the disks as shield and the creatures were shredded by the swirling energy, like a blender dicing up fruit. The disk dissipated and Goku flew upward fast to dodge another incoming serpent. He dove down hard, smashing his foot into the serpent's neck, making it explode on contact.

However, that didn't stop it. The droplets of bloody water morphed into to tiny liquor snakes and swarmed Goku. The wrapped around his arms and legs in an attempt to bind him. The Saiyan merely release a burst of energy and blew the snakes on his body away. One serpent head snuck up behind him and opened its mouth. It fired off a torrent of crystallized blood shards from its gaping jaw at Goku. He didn't even try to dodge as the shards shattered on contact with him.

Goku fired off a beam of energy and blew off the serpent's head, making the water in its body collapsed back to the ground. Goku panted slightly.

'Man, this kid's not letting up. His attacks can't really hurt me while I'm in this form, but he's still going with this monster thing. Is he just trying to wear down my energy?' Goku thought to himself.

While his back was turned, one of the serpents smashed its tail hard against Goku's back and sent shooting down to the ground. He regained his composure mid air and landed safely.

"And is it just me or is he also getting stronger? Because that attack was a lot more powerful than the rest!"

Hibiki noticed that detail as well. He could feel that Naoto's last attack had more punch behind it.

'He's not wrong. That attack was stronger, but with how much blood Naoto had lost using this move, he should be getting weaker. Unless…'

Kohaku's eyes widened.

'Tell me he didn't! In the state he's in now?!'

Crimson light surrounded Naoto's body. Blood circled around him like an aura and his hair rose up like he was going super himself. Because he was in a matter of speaking.

"Overdrive: BLOOD REPULSER!!!"

Overdrive. An ability unique to Unions, humans who have awakened to their Drives. It is a powerful technique that few Unions have achieved. Once activated, the Overdrive ability pushes one's Drive to their maximum potential, doubling, and in some cases tripling their power output… and their consumption of Seither.

'Naoto engaged his Overdrive! Is he insane?! He's already reached his limit, and with how much blood he's using up for that monster he created, the blood loss and stress he's putting on his body will be fatal!'

"Naoto, stop it! Turn your Overdrive off right now! It'll kill you!" Hibiki shouted frantically.

'Overdrive?' Wondered Vegeta.

The pleas landed on deaf ears as Naoto was too focused on his assault on Goku to hear. He amped up his Blood REPULSER even more and multiple thinner serpents grew out from the larger heads.

'I know even with all this that I can't win, but now that I've gone this far, I've had a change of heart.'

Naoto's thoughts soon turned into memories of his life. Memories of… Her.

"Now I can't afford to lose! I'm coming back! Wait for me, Raquel!"

The blood serpents opened their maws and fired off a full on tempest of blood weapons. Swords, axes, flails, clubs, arrows, daggers, anything close range weapon Naoto's could think of. Goku easily shook them off as they shattered just by touching him. Son charged at the same time towards Naoto, sweat dripping from his face.

'This is going too far. That kid's energy is getting WAY too low. If he keeps it up, he'll die! I gotta end this before he uses up anymore!' Goku mentally stated.

Both fighters shouted a mighty battle cry. Naoto's blood water serpents pressed on with their u relenting assault. Goku flew around the charging monster to avoid getting hit. One was zooming right towards him, so Goku closed his eye and held his hands over his face.

"SOLAR FLARE!!!"

A blinding white light erupted from Goku, illuminating everything in the area. His goal was to blind Naoto so his control over his serpent would slip and his serpents attack would fail. However, Naoto seemed immune to the Solar Flare, likely do to his Hunter Eyes. Messy ring people's life force as a number clearly wasn't their only ability.

The serpent clasped Goku within its jaws and slithered up into the sky. The sheer force from its bite was enough for one of its fangs to finally sink into Goku's side. The Saiyan yelled in pain from being impaled. The other seven heads rose up to meet their eighth in the air. With a quick movement of Naoto's arms, the seven heads started to transform into colossal scythes of blood.

Kurogane felt lightheaded and looked as if he would pass out. He felt as though he had lost more than just a few pints by now, but he didn't care. Naoto was about to put an end to this fight.

"This is gonna be my last attack! I'm putting everything I've got left into this! Behold, the blood stained blades!"

"Kid, stop! Your energy is getting lower and lower by the second! You could die if you use one more attack!" Goku urged.

Naoto didn't even hear Goku due to the blood loss. Plus, all that mattered right now was winning. With a harsh swing of his arms, the giant scythes honed in on Goku.

"EDGE OF ETERNITY: RED ORIGIN!!!"

Time slowed for Goku as the scythes were mere centimeters away from him. These blade could be enough to actually kill him, if they don't kill Naoto first from blood loss.

Goku had to avoid this and save him, and he had just the technique to do it. Space around Goku began to warp and distort. His blue aura turning a bright red.

"KAIO-KEN!!!"

Just by merely activating it, Goku's Kaio-Ken amplifier generated an unbelievably powerful shockwave that just obliterated Naoto's blood scythes and the portion of the beast he was standing on. Shock and disbelief flooded Naoto's face as he fell backwards.

'Wha… What just happened..?' He thought.

Goku zoomed over to the falling teen with speed that rivaled lightning. He clenched his fist and shouted.

"Naoto, thank you for this fight! Your power is truly incredible!"

With a swift and powerful thrust of his arm, Goku smashed his fist into Naoto's gut. The punch knocked both the wind and consciousness out of Naoto as his eyes rolled back and closed. Goku caught the teen and descended to the ground. He laid Naoto on the forest floor gently; the teen's hair slowly returning to its usual brown.

Goku sighed in relief. He stopped the boy in time. Vegeta and Hibiki both rushed over to them quickly. Hibiki knelt down to check the condition of his comrade. He placed his fingers gently over the veins of his neck. There was a slow and faint pulse.

"He's alive, but his pulse is weak. Naoto used up far too much of his blood for that last attack." Hibiki explained.

"Gotta give the kid credit for guts. He was not gonna go down quietly." Said Vegeta

At the same time, Naruto and Sasuke reappeared and saw the condition of their companion.

"Naoto!" Naruto gasped as he rushed to the boy's side.

"What did you freaks do to him?" Sasuke hostilely questioned. 'How is the little one already out of the Genjutsu?' He also wondered.

"Huh? Wait, hold on! It's not what you think!" Goku pleaded.

"Sasuke, chill out a minute."

Naruto knelt down and picked up Naoto. He could see the teen's face getting more pale by the second. Worrisome.

"What happened?" Asked the Hokage.

Sasuke activated his Dōjutsu and examined Naoto's body.

"He's lost a lot of blood. If he doesn't get a transfusion soon, he'll die." Stated Uchiha.

This was bad, and only getting worse. Naruto cursed under his breath and turned to Kohaku.

"He'll never make it to a hospital. We need to give him blood here and now. Hibiki, what's Naoto's blood type?"

"What? How should I know?" Questioned Hibiki.

"How clouds you NOT know?! You guys are friends, right?" Naruto asked right back in a frantic voice.

"I only met Naoto that one time in my world! I barely know the boy, let alone his blood type!"

"Excuse me?"

Goku raised his hand like a student in grade school. Everyone turned to him.

"I think I can help. I have the ability to read minds, that's how I was able to listen to Naruto and that big doggie thing talking earlier."

"BIG DOGGIE THING?! Why that little…!" Growled Kurama furiously.

"If I read Naoto's mind and look through his memories, I can figure out his blood type." Goku finished.

"That could work. Hmph, leave it to you and you're out of no where, actually decent ideas, Kakarot." Vegeta chuckled.

'This guy can read minds? Could that be how Vegeta escaped the Genjutsu trap?' Thought Sasuke.

But out of caution and suspicion, Naruto pulled Naoto closer to himself and glared at Son with a protective look. He was worried that the Super Saiyan was lying and wanted to hurt Naoto while he had the chance.

"And why should I believe what you claim is true?"

Goku knew that Naruto had a right to be suspicious, considering that they were fighting to the death not ten minutes ago. Plus, Goku insisted on that fight AND told Naruto that they were enemies, so trust was wafer thin.

However, Goku noticed something about Uzumaki as they fought. He couldn't sense a single trace of evil Ki inside Naruto at all, aside from Kurama that is. His Ki was so pure he couldn't believe it. The ninja may as well have been a human Spirit Bomb.

Also, Goku was secretly reading Naruto mind as they fought as well. He glimpsed through his memories, witnessed all of his adventures, all the people he saved, the villains he took down, how he and Kurama became friends and saved the world from Kaguya, even his battle with Sasuke. All these memories and yet not one that showed Naruto invading the Uchiha clan or ordering the attack on the Soul Society as Madara claimed he did.

Speaking of, Naruto did have memories of Madara. However, they were not what Goku was expecting. He saw his new 'friend' in a truly horrific new lighting. Such carnage and destruction he had caused, and Goku was working with him for a whole month?! How did he not pick up on any signs?! Is he that good of a liar? Did he use Genjutsu on them all to cooperate?

There was also a memory that surprised Goku more than the rest. At the beginning, he saw a young Naruto sitting on a bench in a park, and beside him… was Ragna.

The two of them were laughing together, having a good time while eating cups of instant ramen and udon. Goku wasn't sure how Naruto knew Ragna, and it only added more mystery onto the man who slayed Beerus the Destroyer.

Now, after seeing his memories during their fight, Goku could tell that Naruto Uzumaki is not the villain they were lied to about, but a good person, and a hero, clear as day. Goku squatted down to eye level with Naruto and smiled. He then disengaged Super Saiyan Blue and returned to normal, and finally responded to Naruto's question with.

"Because any friend of Ragna is a friend of mine."

Naruto's eyes widened upon hearing Ragna's name. The ninja also reverted to his base form as a result. Just hearing that Goku knew Ragna got Naruto to drop his guard totally. Goku reached his hand out to Naruto with a friendly smile on his face. Uzumaki was hesitant, but now he was feeling no hostility from the Saiyan anymore, so he gripped Goku's hand firmly.

"Alright!" Goku said cheerfully.

The Saiyan placed his other hand on Naoto's forehead, closed his eyes, and started focusing his Ki. Naruto could already feel Naoto's thoughts and memories racing through his mind as he was linked to Goku via their hands. The two quickly scanned through Naoto's mind to search for his blood type until finally, they found it!

"Type B. That's his blood type." Goku stated as he opened his eyes.

Naruto released Goku's hand and gasped.

"Type B?! That's MY type! I'm a match! We can give him some if my blood!" He said with a hopeful tone is his voice.

Naruto placed Kurogane back on the ground gently then got up. He quickly removed his shirt and tore off one of the sleeves to make a makeshift tourniquet. That way, it would be easier to spot the veins on his arms.

"Sasuke, get your first aid kit out! Naoto and I are the same blood type, we can use me to- Sasuke? Where is he?"

Both Sasuke and Vegeta had vanished into thin air. Both Naruto and Goku looked around the area to see if they can spot them. Goku thankfully did. They were both in the distance having a conversation, with Vegeta looking oh so cheesed.

"You're kidding me..! That whole fight we had was just an illusion?!" Vegeta angrily grumbled.

"You seriously couldn't tell?" Sasuke asked, questioning the Saiyan's level of intelligence.

"OF COURSE I COULD'NT! YOU MADE IT INSANELY REALISTIC!"

"Yeah, that was the idea."

"Would you guys get over here?! We have a dying kid who needs blood!" Screamed Naruto.

…

After finally getting back together, the gang had Naruto and Naoto lying side by side on the ground with tourniquets around their arms. Sasuke pulled out a scroll and opened it up. He bit his thumb which caused a small spot on it to bleed. He then smeared it along the paper of the scroll.

"SUMMONING JUTSU!!!"

The scroll erupted in smoke and a medical kit appeared on the ground.

"Cool! Just like one of Bulma's capsules!" Goku commented.

"Good thing Sakura gave me this first aid kit before I left the village." Sasuke said.

He took out an IV tube an went over to the two on the ground. Sasuke picked up Naruto's arm and positioned the needle.

"Don't cry like a baby like last time." Sasuke ordered.

"Hey! Granny Tsunade pretty much sent the whole village after me because she thought I had the plague or something! And no one thought to tell me!" Naruto barked back.

Sasuke inserted the needle. Naruto winced slightly. He then did the same to Naoto. Blood began to glow through the tube from Naruto's into the other end connected to Naoto. It would take time to stabilize the teen's blood levels, but as long as he would pull through, that's what was important.

"Thank goodness." Hibiki sighed gratefully.

"Now we just wait." Sasuke said.

"Wait? Why? In case you forgot, we're enemies. I say we pick up where we left off, Uchiha." Vegeta said menacingly.

"No. We're not fighting them anymore." Ordered Goku.

Vegeta stared at Goku with confusion.

"What do you mean?" Asked the Saiyan prince.

"They're not the bad guys, Vegeta. I looked through Naruto's memories while I was fighting him. Madara lied to us with that story, and I think he staged the attack on Sajin and Makoto too." Goku explained.

Naruto, Sasuke, and Kurama all went wide eyed.

"What did you say? Madara? As in Madara Uchiha?!" Naruto questioned.

"You know him?!" Exclaimed Sasuke.

Goku nodded as he faced everyone.

"I think we were being manipulated into attacking each other. Question is… Why?"

*Elsewhere*

…

A figure was limping slowly through the green of the forest. Blood dripped from their hand, leaving a small trail of dark red behind them as they moved forward. The figure was also panting hard to catch their breath like they just ran a marathon. They stopped to rest against a boulder to their right, trying as best they could to catch their breath.

'Damnit… That cowboy bastard caught me by surprise back there… I wasn't expecting him to pull out a doomsday weapon out of nowhere…' They thought.

The figure reached into their pocket, pulling out a small injection stick with an unfamiliar substance.

'On the bright side, I managed to slip away with a little souvenir.'

They jammed it into their neck. The figure yelped in pain and dropped the needle. Slowly, their wound began to heal and their eyes opened, revealing colors of both red and purple.

"Hmhmhmhm… I won't lie. It's good to be home!"

Next time

Running on precious time, Ragna must find away to defeat Zeref and find his family, who had been captured as he had. How will the Grim Reaper escape the confined space he is forced to fight in?

Originally, I wasn't planning on this chapter since normally, there would be no way Naoto could take on someone like Goku, but I decided to write it in honor of Billy Kametz, Naoto's English actor.

Goodbye Billy, thank you for all your work, and God rest your soul.
