I could hear it had been behind us but the three Jedi were in front of us, so it must be "Dooku." I whispered to myself as I turned around and saw the red light bathing the cave. I immediately started to call for help but it only came out in fragments and whispers. "HELP!" Rebel screamed over me, less afraid now with it being the second time she saw him. I'd never seen him in person before this, but I knew the damage he could do so my first instinct was to reach for my gun. I must've gotten a trigger finger because I never expected I'd target his eye and succeed. He stumbled backwards and grabbed for his eye while he clumsily flung his arm in the other direction, making his lightsaber graze Rebel's leg. She yelped in pain and I ducked to the ground as he threw his lightsaber to his other side and tended to Rebel, the Jedi would know what to do. General Kenobi took over the quickest, "Anakin, with me, Ahsoka, get Rebel and Rue to safety." Count Dooku regained his balance quicker than I thought and vaulted at the Generals. I heard lightsabers clashing and I hoped they'd be able to rescue the men and capture the Count. Commander Tano got under Rebel's arm and I under the other and we took her back to the landing zone and set her on a stretcher. Pouch wrapped her leg in bandages and told me she'd be fine but he hadn't convinced me, so I stayed by her side in case she needed anything. "If you don't need me," Tano said. "I should make sure Master Kenobi and Master Skywalker don't need rescuing. Knowing them they probably do though." She said with a nervous chuckle. "Of course, Commander." I gave her a nod that she returned and then left quickly. "They should be back by now." Rebel propped herself up looking at an invisible point on the wall. I fetched a blanket from a stack in the corner of the room and covered her with it. "They'll be here." I pushed her back into a laying down position. I heard heavy, echoing footsteps coming down the hall, knowing no one else should be on the ship. I could tell Rebel tensed up, I waved my hand at her gently and grabbed my blaster and held it up in front of my face as I inched towards the door. I jumped around the frame quickly seeing two familiar faces greet me. "Don't fire, don't fire!" Wrecker shuffled backwards and put his hands up over his face, cowering. I sighed, clipping my gun back into place and slapped my hand to my face. Wrecker stepped past me, hugging the wall, into Rebel's room, not expecting a warm welcome. I heard Rebel gasp and her feet spring off the stretcher. "Where have you been?" I asked Rex angrily, not looking back to Rebel as I took my palm away from my face. "Well I-" he said, running his hand over his head looking shy. I took a few speedy steps toward him and saw the fear flood his eyes, wondering what I'd do. I flung my arms around him and whispered quietly and gratefully but also adding a hint of seriousness. "Don't ever do that again." I stepped back just as quickly as I'd come to him, not letting any emotion show in my face, but feeling overjoyed on the inside. I felt the ship take off into hyperspace and didn't care at the moment if Dooku had been caught or not. I walked back into the medical capsule watching Wrecker help Rebel back onto the small bed. He crouched down beside her bed, I knew it was an uncomfortable position but he wanted to be as close as possible to her. "Dooku targeted me and got anyone that got in the way." Wrecker spoke to Rex and I, not looking at Rebel as he stood up slowly. That explained why he ambushed that small group of unprepared, defenseless troopers. "He kept trying to get us." I gestured to Rebel and myself. "He snuck onto Coruscant and got me." Rex said to the floor. I couldn't believe he had time to run all of these errands for Palpatine, time to target and come after one trooper in the whole grand army of the Republic. "Palpatine knows and he is coming after us. He has everyone wrapped around his finger. Nowhere and nobody is safe now, it's just us." Rebel said more seriously than ever. She was right, he must have spies everywhere. He could get free information whenever he wanted, and she was right about nothing being safe too. He held all the power in the galaxy and could choreograph a perfect symphony of the galaxy's ultimate destruction and he'd stand there and watch it burn.
