Ash stared at his Pokemon with fond eyes as they stretched and prepared for the day. It was the final day of the Master Cup and he couldn't help the excitement that rolled under his skin as he thought about who his possible match would be against. The only people left standing were Bonnie, Gladion, himself, and Kiawe, so whoever he was up against Ash was certain to have a good battle.

"You ready to lose Ash?" Kiawe snuck up behind him, giving his back a particularly hard smack.

Ash winced before giving his friend a particularly feral grin. "Shouldn't I be the one asking you that?"

"Alright boys, enough." Delia scolded the both of them, making them relax with their playful rivalry. "If we don't leave now we'll be late."

"Yes mom." Ash and Kiawe playfully pouted, getting an affectionate eye roll.

The drive to the stadium was relatively calm, other than Ash's excited bouncing and twitching, which everyone could pretty much ignore as they were used to it. Soon after arriving at the stadium they were given their match up sheets.

"Alright! I'm going to be battling against you Ash!" Bonnie cheered merrily, jumping to tackle her pseudo big brother.

Ash winced, but hugged her back. "Yep! And I won't be going easy on you!"

"Good!" Bonnie grinned up at him.

"Will Bonnie and Ash please take their places? The first Semi Final Match is about to begin." A voice from the loudspeaker cackled above them.

"Thats fast, we just got here." Kiawe said, concerned.

Ash nodded. "There was a change in plans, semi finals and finals will be happening today because of a mix up in the schedule." Ash explained before quickly excusing himself.

Bonnie happily bounced onto her side of the field, while Ash took his, waving at her with an encouraging grin. Bonnie returned the sentiment, gripping onto her first Pokeball.

"The Semi Final match between Ash and Bonnie is about to begin! This is a three on three match with no substitutions. The Match is over when one trainer has no more available Pokemon or a trainer forfeits. Ready? Begin!"

"Gogoat, come out and play!" Bonnie giggled, throwing out a large quadruped goat with grassy foliage around his neck and down his back.

At the same time, Ash called his Pokemon. "Mudsdale, I choose you!" From his pokeball popped out a large brown horse Pokemon with reddish orange hooves and a thick black mane and tail.

"Let the Battle Between Gogoat and Mudsdale: Begin!"

"Lets start off with Grassy Terrain!" Bonnie ordered. Gogoat grunted, a green aura pulsing around him before he stopped his front hooves, shrouding the entire field in a grassy, green light. "Now Energy Ball."

"Smash it with Stomp." Ash ordered. Mudsdale reared up onto his hind legs, before stomping his front hooves down, smashing Energy Ball with ease.

"What?" Bonnie squeaked in surprise. "Razor Leaf Gogaot!" Gogoat's leafy neck rustled before he fired multiple sharp leaves towards the horse Pokemon.

"Iron Defense." Mudsdale's body glowed a pale blue while he stayed stationary, taking Razor Leaf without so much as flinching.

Bonnie pouted, and quickly called out her own attack. "Take Down!"

Gogoat charged Mudsdale, a white and orange energy pulsing around him as he charged. When Gogoat was meer feet from the towering clydesdale Pokemon, Ash called his attack. "High Horsepower!" Mudsdale's body glowed a bright orange as he reared up, before slamming his front hooves down onto the charging Gogoat before the goat could land a hit. Gogoat cried out in surprise, stuck under the heavy Pokemon's hold. "Now use Rock Smash!" Mudsdale again slammed his hooves, now glowing white, down onto Gogoat, sending him skittering backwards.

"Gogoat!" Bonnie cried out, her voice heavy with worry. Gogoat pushed himself to stand again, but, though he did stand back up, he soon passed out.

"Gogoat is unable to battle! Trainer Bonnie, please send out your next pokemon or forfeit!"

Bonnie sighed as she returned Gogoat to his pokeball. "You were amazing Gogoat! Take a good rest." Pocketing his pokeball, Bonnie pulled out her next. "Ash is on a whole other level." She marveled, before throwing out her next Pokemon. "Meowstic, come out and Play!" Out of the pokeball came a standing white cat with two curly tails.

"Murow!" Meowstic shook out her fur.

"Let the battle between Mudsdale and Meowstic: Begin"

"Meowstic Protect!" Bonnie called out immediately. Meowstic purred before erecting a green forcefield around herself.

Ash grinned at her. "Mudsdale, take off running and use Bulldoze!" Mudsdale let out a whinny, his body pulsing orange as he reared up and slammed his hooves into the ground before he started running towards Meowstic. As hooves thundered against the battlefield, the stage shook, vibrations pulsing through the ground. Meowstic yowled as she tried to stay on her feet, the vibrations making her lose concentration, and drop her Protect. "Stomp!"

"Quick Meowstic, Disarming Voice!" Bonnie called out vigorously as Mudsdale prepared for his attack. Meowstic turned towards the horse Pokemon and let out a loud yowl, letting out pink, damaging sound waves that halted Mudsdale in his movements, as he shook his head, trying to dispel the painful sound. "Alright! Now use Psybeam!" Since the shaking had stopped, Meowstic was able to push herself onto her paws again, and shut her eyes while her ears unfurled. From yellow and red patterns in her ears, Meowstic fired a multicolored beam at Mudsdale, sending him skidding a couple of feet away.

"Steady yourself Mudsdale!" Ash ordered gently, getting a whinny of understanding from his Pokemon before he planted his feet to stop skidding. "You're so awesome!" He praised, and Mudsdale tossed his head proudly.

"Great job Meowstic! Now use Future Sight!" Bonnie cheered happily, jumping excitedly on her platform. Meowstic purred, the patterns on her ears glowing blue before wormholes opened up around Mudsdale, firing blasts of electrified psychic energy.

"Iron Defense!" Mudsdale glowed a subtle blue as his defense was raised. Despite the raised defense, Mudsdale still grunted as he took some damage from the Psychic Blasts. "Now get in close and use High Horsepower!" Mudsdale charged forward, energy pulsating from his hooves once more as he charged the psychic cat.

"Dodge!" Meowstic jumped to the side, dodging the large hooves that tried to crush her.

Ash smirked and Bonnie felt a sliver go down her spine. "Bulldoze!" Mudsdale shifted his power, instead of aiming for the cat, he slammed his hooves into the ground, once again shaking the ground and making Meowstic slip up. Before Bonnie could call for a Protect, Ash called his next move. "High Horsepower!"

"Meowstic!" Bonnie cried out in worry as Meowstic yelped in pain. Dust was floating around the two Pokemon, having been kicked up by Mudsdale while running, High Horsepower, and Bulldoze. As the dust settled the white cat could be seen passed out on the dusty ground.

"Meowstic is unable to battle!" The referee called, and the stadium erupted with amazed noise. "Trainer Bonnie Please call out your next Pokemon or Forfeit."

Bonnie pouted as she returned Meowstic. "You were awesome Meowstic! Thanks for working so hard!" The blonde girl nuzzled against her pokeball before pulling out her next one. "Alright, Tyrantrum, come out and play!" Winding her arm back, Bonnie threw out the massive red tyrannosaurus Pokemon, who roared, expelling some pent up energy.

"Let the battle between Tyrantrum and Mudsdale: Begin!"

"Ancient power!" Tyrantrum glowed a vibrant white before firing four balls of energy towards Mudsdale.

"Rock Smash!" Mudsdale reared up, using his hooves to smash the incoming rock type energy.

However, while Mudsdale was distracted with Ancient Power, Bonnie giggled and called out her next move. "Dragon Tail 40 degrees to the right!" Tyrantrum's tail lit up in a shimmery green before Tyrantrum swiped it towards Mudsdale. Mudsdale let out a surprised sound as he was hit to the right, right into reappearing wormholes, where he was assaulted by psychic blasts.

"Mudsdale, are you alright?!" Ash yelled out, watching the Ground Type as he tried to stand, smoking lightly. Mudsdale raised his head and let out a loud whinny, but it was obvious to Ash that he was in rough shape. Taking a Dragon Tail followed by Future Sight dealt a lot of damage, and Ash would bet his hat that the only reason Mudsdale was still standing was because of his Stamina Ability, which raised his Defense when he was Attacked. "Alright, use Bulldoze, and give it your all!"

"Oh no you don't big brother! Tyrantrum, Dragon Tail!"

Mudsdale reared up, slamming his hooves into the ground with all the energy he had to offer. As he did that, Tyrantrum ran forward, aiming to hit him with his tail again. The ground started to shake, and Tyrantrum jumped, slamming his glittering green tail into the ground type and sending him sliding. Mudsdale tried to stand, but after faltering twice, he collapsed.

"Mudsdale is unable to battle! Will trainer Ash please call his next Pokemon or Forfeit."

Ash sighed and returned Mudsdale. "You were great, Mudsdale, take a nice long break." Gently pocketing the pokeball, Ash pulled out his next. "Alright big guy, it's your turn. I choose you!" Reeling his arm back, Ash let out his next Pokemon, causing the audience to ripple with surprised, and excited murmurs.

"Who's that Pokemon?" Max asked, having pulled himself out of his anger to go to the final day of the Master Cup. He was torn on who to root for, or rather, who he wanted to lose more. Bonnie was the reason he wasn't battling on the final day, but Ash had humiliated him. But he was momentarily distracted by his anger by the Pokemon he had never seen before.

"Whatever it is, there's no way it can win against a Dragon Type." Iris muttered, feeling a little better, but it was obvious she was still depressed over Dragonite.

"It can't be!" Professor Oak sounded half strangled as he stood up to get a better look at it, his face slack.

"No way!" Gary groaned in a self-deprecating manner, standing beside his grandfather as Tracy quickly whipped out his sketchbook to draw the magnificent Pokmeon before him.

"What?" Misty snapped at them, her fuse especially short.

"Thats…That Pokemon hasn't been seen in nearly 3,000 years!" Professor Oak whispered in awe. "I heard rumors one was found but..but I was blocked at every turn while trying to find out who was training it so I had assumed that it was a mere rumor." His old eyes filled with great sadness. First a new form of Lycanroc, and now a very ancient Pokemon, for some reason Samule Oak felt as if he were being punished by Arceus themself. His inaction a few years prior was finally coming around to bite him in the behind, in trying to keep his grandson and his friends the old man had lost a daughter, another grandson, and two rare Pokemon he would have been able to study.

Max huffed. "What's it called?"

Gary, who was feeling a similar way to his grandfather, answered with a mournful shadow in his eyes. "Melmetal, the Hex Nut Pokemon."

—-

Melmetal was a hulking silver figure, with smooth metallic 'skin' and large nuts for hands, and joints. Around their neck like a collar was a gold knut that matched their eye(head?), and they had a single red wire coming from behind like a tail.

The referee stuttered over himself for a moment before calling the start of the match. "Let the battle between Melmetal and Tyrantrum: Begin!"

"Fire Fang Tyrantrum!"

"Dynamic Punch!"

Forming a ball of fire in his mouth, Tyrantrum snapped his jaws into the flame and took off running towards the steel type, teeth flickering with vibrant red flames. Melmetal's half lit up in white energy and he ran towards Tyrantrum, throwing a punk into Tyrantrum's mouth. The Flame's dealt damage to Melmetal, and the punch had completely missed his muzzle, but that hadn't been Ash's real goal.

Ash smirked slightly. "Grab onto his jaw and use Thunderbolt!" Melmetal grabbed hold on either side of Tyrantrum's jaws, holding his mouth open, and holding the dragon rock type a bit off the ground, as bright yellow electricity cackled around the metallic steel type. With a cry, Melmetal released the pent up electricity straight into the dragon type's mouth, causing Tyrantrum to cry out as damage was dealt.

"Crunch quickly Tyrantrum!" Bonnie called out. Dark type energy coated his jaws and Tyrantrum tried to snap them over Melmetal.

"Now hit him away with Dynamic Punch!" As swiftly as he could, Melmetal shot his 'fist' out and sent the dinosaur Pokemon staggering back.

"Are you okay Tyrantrum?" Bonnie asked worriedly, especially when the dragon type started to spark with the tell-tell static of Paralysis. Tyrantrum grunted, flinching as electricity coursed through him. "I don't understand, electric type moves aren't very strong against dragon and rock types."

Ash smiled a little bit. "The reason dragon types are resistant to electric type attacks are because of their strong scales, but I didn't aim for the scales, and Tyrantrum wasn't touching the ground so the electricity had nowhere to go." He explained.

Bonnie gasped as she remembered Thunderbolt shooting into Tyrantrum, while Melmetal held him up off the ground. "So thats how you did it!" She realized, impressed. "Well, we aren't going to give up just yet, are we?" Tyrantrum roared in agreement. "Tyrantrum use Dragon Tail!"

"Defend yourself with Double Iron Bash!"

Melmetal started spinning rapidly as Tyrantrum charged, repeatedly lashing his tail at the spinning Pokemon. When he did it, dragon tail seemingly caused no damage due to the fast spinning. Suddenly, Melmetal's arms shot outwards, hitting their opponent with one arm, disrupting his movement before hitting him with the other arm.

"Fire Fang!"

"Dodge!"

Melmetal jumped to dodge the blistering fangs, but was two slow as the jaws snapped around him, dealing damage as Melmetal struggled. Bonnie grinned happily. She knew she likely wouldn't win, Ash still had another Pokemon left, and Tyrantrum was heavily damaged from the battle happening before her, but she hoped she could at least take out two of his Pokemon. "Throw him up and hit him with a Dragon Tail!" Tyrantrom tossed his head, flinging the steel Pokemon upwards as he readied his Dragon Tail.

"Lets end this Melmetal. Flash Cannon!" Melmetal spun around mid air, building up a ball of silver energy around their eye, before shooting a powerful silver and white beam toward Tyrantrum. Tyrantrum tried to black Flash Cannon with his tail, but froze due to paralysis, calling him to cry out as he took the full force of the move, ultimately knocking him out.

"Tyrantrum is unable to battle! Since Bonnie has no more Pokemon to battle, Ash is named the winner of the match!"

Melmetal landed on his feet beside the fallen Pokemon, and the stadium erupted with cheers from the crowd. "Alright Melmetal you were awesome!" Ash cheered loudly, and Melmetal gurgled an equally as happy response.

"Awe man. You were great Tyrantrum, Ash is just too strong for us right now." Bonnie pouted playfully, recalling the fallen Pokemon. "Well, we tried our best, Dedenne."

"Denne Denne!" Dendenne chirped, popped out of her purse, and running up to her shoulder.

"You're right! There's always next time!" Bonnie giggled, snuggling up against her Partner, who responded in kind, resulting in the girl to get zapped by nuzzle. "I have to stop doing that." Bonnie giggled, scratching under Dedenne's chin before standing up to wave at Ash, who was getting crushed in a hug by Melmetal. "Thanks for the battle!"

Ash grinned back at her, though it was a bit painful looking as two steel arms were wrapped around him. "Any time Bonnie!"

Author's Comments: Bonnie did so well because she was trained by Clemont, a gym leader, her dad, a vigilante, and even Ash himself on occasion. That's the only reason she made it this far.

If this chapter seems rushed, its because it was. There are only like…four chapters left and its both exciting that i finished something and a bit sad so i want to procrastinate but know i shouldn't so its a mixed bag of emotion on my end.
