I could see the shock overcoming Rex's face as he realized Rebel wasn't joking. "A Jedi?!" Rebel just smiled and nodded thinking it was the perfect plan. "B-but who?!" Rex stuttered trying to wrap his head around the idea. We thought about that for a moment, it wasn't a bad idea, involving a Jedi. After all, they were close to the Senate and already thought the Chancellor was untrustworthy since he was allowed to remain in office this long, the trick though was choosing the right Jedi to tell. One who wouldn't spill the beans before we were ready and one who didn't care about straying from the traditional, rule following, Jedi stereotype. "What about Commander Tano?" Wrecker broke the silence. Rebel wanted to agree but she looked at me first. "That might be good." Skywalker had definitely taught her how to disobey orders. "Tell me what?" Padawan Tano's chipper voice came through the doorway clearly. I was worried about how long she'd been listening, because we weren't all in total agreement to tell her. "Umm." Rebel looked around the room, up at the ceiling and around the corners of the doorway to check for a wire. "We have a little secret that could decide the fate of the entire war." She said quietly. "What secret?" Commander Tano asked, wanting to be in but also sounding serious. "You can't tell anyone." Rex told her as firmly as he could without sounding upset. She nodded, like she was giving us a pinkie promise and then we slowly began recounting the details of the past few days to her, explaining when we first heard of the evil plot, then Palpatine's manipulation over Dooku and the most recent conversation between Rebel and Palpatine. Ahsoka took some time to process what we'd told her but she recovered quickly and didn't react like Wrecker and Rex had. "What should we do?" Commander Tano asked calmly. "That's what we've been asking ourselves everyday." Rebel said, almost seeming to regret telling her because she didn't know what to do either. "We should tell Obi-wan. He would trust us and he would know what to do." Tano said, making up her mind. We looked around amongst ourselves and nodded, realizing we'd told one Jedi, what's one more? "Can you go get him?" Wrecker asked, turning to me, seeming to try and prove that he wasn't a baby. I turned away from him and paced around the room until she came back. General Kenobi came in looking tired as always but willing to help. "How much have you told him?" I asked. "Nothing, I just said you need to speak with him and that it was urgent." She said closing the door after making sure no one had followed. "Okay, here we go." I started off the story again, getting bored and wishing we'd recorded our account so we wouldn't have to keep retelling it. "Hmm." Kenobi brought his hand up to his beard. "That would explain why Dooku has been going after you four." He said monotone as if this wasn't new information.
