A couple of weeks passed, and Rue and I had grown out our hair. I still wasn't used to having long hair, so sometimes I jumped at the feeling of my own hair. The plan was going well, and my leg was getting better. Rex felt guilty for keeping a secret from Skywalker, but he had no choice. It was for his safety. With many run-ins with Dooku, I had memorized his moves so that I was one step ahead. Rue was a great captain and had led her team to many victories with the help of the spied information. Wrecker still had anger in him from when Rue called him a baby, so things were tense. Rue and I lay on our beds wide awake, thinking that this was all too familiar. "Wanna get something to eat?" I asked. "Sure, I'm starving," Rue answered, hopping out of bed and following after me. As we passed Palpatine's office, memories came flooding back, and I gasped softly, taking a step back but then continued to walk. As we got some food and sat down in the dark mess hall, I sighed, feeling a sense of accomplishment. Although this battle and this war were not over, it was going well on their part. "Finally, we made it to the mess hall," I joked, chuckling quietly. "Yeah, it seems like a year ago that we found out about order 66," Rue said with a sigh. Worry filled my eyes. "What if... what if we don't stop order 66?" I said doubtfully. "What if...we can't." I meet Rue's steady gaze. At that moment, we realized that things would never be the same. "And if we stop the war...what will happen to the clones?" Rue let out a small gasp, knowing that if the war ended, the clones would have no use.
