Chapter 96 Unclosed Human
Ichika's POV
My friends and I were talking to the Virtual Singers in Sekai.
"We discussed the disbandment of Leo/need with Hiroshi-Ojisan", Shiho revealed. "Before Ichika leaves for New York, we'll have one last official concert."
"I see", Kaito said. "So, it really is it then?"
"Yes", I replied sadly.
Then, Rin began getting emotional.
"I understand why Ichi's moving to New York", she said. "But…it's still really sad that Leo/need is going to disband."
After Rin said this, Honami walked up to her and grabbed onto her hands.
"I know, Rin-Chan", she said. "But, instead of being sad that Leo/need is disbanding, let's try to instead be happy for all the memories we made together."
"I think that's a good idea, Honami", Luka said.
"Ichika", Miku started. "Could you girls do something for us?"
"For all of you", I asked. "What is it?"
"Well, you see", Miku started. "We all got together and wrote a song."
"You all wrote a song", Shiho asked.
"Yes", Miku replied. "It's a song we wrote to honor Saki. If it's okay with you girls, would you be able to perform it at your final concert?"
…
Leo/need was performing in our final concert, which was reaching it's conclusion.
"Everyone", I started. "Thank you all so much for coming today."
After I said this, I took a deep breath before continuing.
"When we were in middle school, I drifted apart from the three people who were the most important to me. Thankfully, we were able to reconnect with each other, and even start a band together. I'll forever be grateful that I was able to do that."
After I said this, I turned to look at Shiho, who then began to speak.
"I've always been quite harsh and brutally honest. To most people, I was just mean, but my friends didn't see me that way. They knew that I was so strict because I was so passionate my dream, which was to touch people's hearts with my music. My friends knew that achieving this dream wouldn't be easy, but they decided to join me anyway. Getting to achieve my dream with the most important people to me is something I'll forever be grateful for."
After Shiho said this, she turned to face Honami, who then began to speak.
"I've always tried my best to not pick sides and show everyone kindness. However, some people saw this as me being two-faced, and just trying to get on everybody's good side. I didn't like this, so I distanced myself from my friends and just hung out with a specific group of classmates. Thankfully, my friends didn't give up on me. They gave me courage, and that's something I'll forever be grateful for."
After Honami was done, I went back to speaking.
"When you think about it, all of this was thanks to Saki. After all, it was her idea to form a band in the first place. Plus, despite her illness, she was always the most cheerful out of all of us. She always looked on the bright side of things. She always lived her life to the fullest."
After I said this, I put my hand on my chest as tears started falling from my eyes.
"We owe so much to her", I added. "And so, for our final performance as Leo/need, we'll be singing a song dedicated to her. Some very important friends wrote this song in her honor."
With this, I took a look at my bandmates, who both gave me nods.
Then, we began playing the song, before we started singing.

Then, we walked up to Saki's keyboard, and put flowers on it.
(Saki may be physically gone, but…she will forever remain in our hearts.)
