Was he trying to be super creepy? I thought to myself. Probably, that's the only form of intimidation he knew. "May I see you girls in my office?" He said, trying to act like a caring principal, but no person in power over us had ever truly cared about us, except General Plo, which was why I didn't trust for one second that he was oblivious to our plan. I wanted to invite Rex to come along with us, but Rebel had already agreed, he couldn't dare hurt us yet anyway, right? He turned and made his way to the central office as I lingered behind with Rebel having to urge me forward. She didn't seem to be afraid of him, she was fearless, she seemed to be hateful of him though, as was I. He waved a hand to Mas Amedda and Commander Fox who were guarding the door and they followed the command without a moment's hesitation, too eager to please to see Palpatine's deception. "Now at any other time I would have you banished or killed however you have the Jedi on your side." The seemingly bipolar chancellor raised his voice to us as soon as his enforcer and commander were out of hearing range. I slid behind Rebel in micro movements so small, no one would notice until I was directly behind her. "So what if we have the Jedi on our side?" Rebel responded, matching his tone of voice. At first I wasn't quite sure what she was saying. Was she implying we could take him on ourselves with or without the Jedi? She stepped forward, squaring him up leaving me cowering in her shadow. "We are holding off on telling anyone, but make no mistake, we will tell everyone if you try to scold us or hurt us and think that we will listen. Understand?" As soon as she finished she whipped her head around so fast her hair flung into his face, I hadn't realized how close she'd been from this angle until I heard the loud thwap. I think she'd forgotten how long her hair was too. She grabbed me by the collar and dragged me along with her as she stormed out.
